The urine test used as a basic test method of in vitro diagnosis for health care has been used for a long time to be simple and convenient. The urine test method is using a color that appears depending on the change in the ion concentration that reacts over time buried in the standard color test paper(Strips) with a urine sample applied to some reaction reagents. In this paper, it was proposed a neural network algorithm to obtain a suitable and reproducibility and accuracy classifier suitable for the urine analysis system. Interest in the field of home exercise is increasing due to the increase in interest in well-being and health care and the corona crisis. In the past, the cost of purchasing fitness equipment was low compared to the cost of living, but recently it has increased significantly. In addition, advanced fitness equipment that provides users' exercise information in various ways through the convergence of various IT technologies has also appeared. In this paper, we propose a system that receives the user's exercise information provided by the fitness equipment through a mobile app, refines it, and transmits it to the platform. The additionally transmitted motion information is learned through the AI system to extract features. We propose a system that can efficiently increase the exercise effect by analyzing the finally extracted results and providing the user with the optimal exercise direction again. Purpose: This study was designed to examine existing research on service marketing in nursing and identify the results by analyzing research trends in medical and nursing service marketing over the last 15 years. Methods: Electronic databases were searched, including RISS, Korea Citation Index. The papers were classified by criteria, focusing on research topics, research design and statistical analysis method. Results: From 2002 to 2016, 221 research articles on medical or nursing service marketing were published in local academic journals. Most of the articles were about service quality and satisfaction. Generally questionnaire surveys were used. There were 34 papers related to nursing service marketing. Most of them were about satisfaction and had used a questionnaire survey. Conclusion: Further research needs to be done with nursing service marketing topics including a variety of themes such as personal services and customer behaviors. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Virtual reality is actively applied in the fields of games, entertainment, communication, sports, and architecture. In particular, many virtual reality-based education systems are being developed in the field of education, creating efficient learning effects. In addition, virtual reality-based education is used in areas such as maintenance, fighter control, medical care, and firefighting as it can maximize the educational effect through the mastery process of the function itself through the curriculum as well as indirect experiences of dangerous situations that are difficult to experience. However, due to technical limitations, lack of contents, and lack of theoretical research, the level of application of military education and training is still insufficient. World Health Organization Regional Office for the Western Pacific, Manila, Philippines Adopted by the General Assembly of the United Nations in 2015, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) build on the lessons learned from the Millennium Development Goals that had guided development efforts for the preceding 15 years. The World Health Organization (WHO) Western Pacific Region made remarkable progress towards the Millennium Development Goals, but also experienced some challenges and shortcomings. This paper argues that the SDGs incorporate these complexities and aim to capture the many ways in which equitable and robust development is shaped by factors which are linked to each other. The SDGs place greater emphasis on a broader range of determinants of health, including poverty reduction, education, and reducing inequality, thereby reflecting that health influences and is influenced by progress on all goals and targets. Drawing on recent World Health Organization frameworks, the paper suggests options for advancing the SDGs in the Western Pacific. It argues that universal health coverage is core to achieving the SDGs and enacting the principle of leaving no- one behind, and outlines new ways of working within and outside of the health sector as well as appropriate capabilities of the health sector to drive the agenda. The SDGs place renewed demands on Member States and their partners. The strengths of the SDG framework lie in the emphasis on collaboration and joint action to solve shared problems, on collective accountability and the public interest, on tackling the determinants of health, and notably on the primacy of reaching those left furthest behind. This study identifies the success factors of the Cuban health care system centered on the relationship between the clinic and the community, in terms of the primary health care system which is community-based health care. It has been recognized that the primary health care system could be a practical approach to develop a better structure and a more functional health care system through building the community capacity. In community-based health care, the responsibility and the direct participation of people is crucial because the community empowerment leads to better health care for the people of the community, since they can take more control of local issues like health care. In this paper, we describe and define the characteristics of the relationship between the family doctors-nurses and the community members, using the method of participant observation, which is an anthropological approach. Given that Cuban health care has so far been analyzed mainly from the macro-policy perspective, the understanding of Cuba’s health care system at the community level, where the family doctor and nurse are closely connected to the local people, is a meaningful task. Today, medical certificates are widely used in society; for example, for school enrollment and employment, as well as for insurance purposes, and military service. In addition, they serve an important judicial function. Criminal and violent acts such as murder frequently occur, and traffic and industrial accidents that cause injury and intrude upon a person's life are increasing; therefore, the courts and the organizations required to deal with such cases are heavily dependent on medical certificates. Recently, a television program called 'Madam's Outgo', that describes the stay of execution of the wife of a company CEO, became a subject of public debate. The trial of the professor at a famous medical school, who received criticism for his major role in making a stay of execution possible for the wife of the CEO, evokes the importance and social function of such medical certificates. Criminal laws and medical laws institutionalize the important social function of medical certificates and establish regulations designed to prevent the writing of false medical certificates. This paper minimizes the use of legal terminology, concentrating on Supreme Court precedents, so that the main translation problems associated with such legal regulations can be utilized as data of doctors and non-jurists, and focuses its discussion on issues that can be practically discussed. On the basis of a theory of analysis of criminal guilt associated with false medical certificates, this paper suggests that to be guilty of issuing of false medical certificates, the following elements are required to be proved: who (subject), what document (object), how it should be written to be classified as a false medical certificate (behavior), and what subjective facts should be perceived to be guilty of issuing of false medical certificates (intent), besides examining the medical requirements associated with writing medical certificates. It therefore appears necessary for the Korean Medical Association to henceforth systematically review its "Guidelines for Writing Medical Certificates," written in February 2003, from a legal perspective. Modern society is deepening people's interest in healthy life. Therefore, the development of research and service related to health is proceeding. In the IT field, healthcare systems using information in the medical field are being developed. Most systems utilize PC and smart TV or use smart phones to provide users with information and movement-related information in the healthcare field. However, algorithms and systems that accurately analyze user 's body information are in development stage. To solve this problem, this paper proposes a system that provides information to the user by analyzing the BMI (Body Mass Index) index and BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate) of the user. The information provided to the user suggests appropriate exercise intensity, appropriate level of exercise, and fitness equipment that are appropriate for the user's body, unlike conventional fitness systems that detect motion and show the calories consumed. Primary care is a key component of a health care system and many countries have been making efforts to strengthen their primary care. We aimed to outline the status of health service research on primary care in Korea. In Medline and nine Korean databases, we searched the original articles published in peer-reviewed journals through December 2015, and summarized and classified the articles. Their publication year, journal name, research methods and research topics were presented. The main categories of research topics were health care delivery, utilization, quality, workforce, resources, financing, and others. The total number of research papers was 297, and these were mainly published in domestic Korean journals (92.6%). The most frequently adopted research methods were quantitative ones, and various types of data were used. The most two common topics were health care delivery and quality of care. Diversity of data sources, lack of public research funding and low participation of primary care physicians were also found. A clarification of the scope of health services research and refinement of topic classification will be beneficial. In short, this study provides a basis for building a primary care health services research database and can be used as a data source for subsequent research. Background: Schizophrenia is a severe mental disorder that significantly impairs the daily functioning of patients that causes substantial societal and economic burden. While drug therapy is crucial for schizophrenia treatment, relying solely on antipsychotic drugs does not yield the most favorable therapeutic outcomes. Current Concepts: Integrating psychosocial interventions could result in maximized therapeutic effects for individuals living with schizophrenia. Evidence-based psychosocial interventions for schizophrenia management include cognitive behavioral therapy, family involvement, psychoeducation, supported employment programs, lifestyle adjustments for physical health, and coordinated and comprehensive early intervention services. Incorporating peer support, allowing both service users and care providers to share knowledge and their illness-related personal experiences, facilitates mutual assistance along the path to recovery. Moreover, growing interest follows in using digital interventions, such as wearable technology and smartphone applications, as effective therapeutic tools for illness management. Discussion and Conclusion: The above-mentioned psychosocial interventions empower individuals with schizophrenia, helping them improve their functioning, enhance their life quality, and adapt more effectively to society. Combining early medication with comprehensive psychosocial interventions, including digital technology, is crucial for the best outcomes. Mindfulness meditation is effective in stress management and diabetes self-care. This paper provides an overview of mindfulness meditation, the mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) program, and the mindfulness-based therapy's effectiveness in diabetes self-care. Mindfulness meditation and the mindfulness-based therapy may be a useful intervention in helping diabetic patients improve stress management, emotional regulation, mental health, and overall health. Purpose: This study was planned to evaluate that a lecture employing medical drama could motivate students to have an interest in the professionalism of healthcare personnel, which has currently become a critical subject in the field of medical education. Methods: We analyzed subject headings, learning objectives, and further plans developed by students and their responses after two drama modules, 'car crash' and 'refusal of instruction', which were selected based on the conditions made by our faculty members, were given through video or paper to our 121 second-grade medical and nursing students in year 2012. Results: Meaningful subject headings and learning objectives developed by students were 58.2%∼60.0% and 36.8%∼38.0% and significantly more in the 'refusal of instruction' than the 'car crash' (p=0.000). According to the students' major, medical students developed significantly more than nursing students (p=0.000). In the analysis of responses, 91.7% of students reported as impressive to the educational modules and 55.3% of them described their ideas associated with healthcare professionalism. This paper aims to examine the factors that affect the amount of official development assistance (ODA) a developing country receives for healthcare by the Korean government. We empirically tested to what extent the amount of Korea's ODA in health care services, infrastructure, HIV/AIDS, and tuberculosis are affected by the relevant demand factors in the recipient countries. To do so, we carried out country-level multivariate regression analyses by setting the amount of ODA for four health care sectors as dependent variables and the relevant demand factors and economic factors as independent variables. A panel dataset was constructed by combining ODA data from the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development and World Development Indicators. The analyses showed that the ODA for health care in Korea is partly meeting the recipient's health care needs. In particular, the recipients with a smaller number of physicians are likely to receive more ODA for medical services. Meanwhile, the amount of international trade with Korea is likely to affect the amount of ODA for medical services. However, disease factors, such as prevalence of HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis, did not positively affect the amount of ODA for those diseases. These results indicate that Korea's ODA system for health care needs to be improved to meet the demand of the recipients in order to achieve the humanitarian objectives set by the international community. We hope that the medical community and the government of Korea can cooperate in setting the global policy agenda for health care ODA based on concrete evidence-based healthcare policy research. Medical disputes are rapidly increasing due to patients' rising awareness of their rights and greater access to medical information. Medical negligence means the breach of the duty of care based on the level of medical acts currently carried out in the field of clinical medicine at the time of performing the medical acts. To hold medical personnel liable for breach of the duty of care, the breach of the duty of care in medical acts, generation of damage, and the existence of causation between them should each be proven. The victim bears the burden of proving the elements. Considering the nature of medical acts such as the high degree of professionalism, doctor's discretion and incompleteness of medicine, judicial precedent has established a theory to ease the victims burden of proof. When a doctor has corrected medical records after acci-dent, this is an act of obstructing verification. The court can use this fact against the obstructing party upon free evaluation of evidence. The liability for explanation is one of the doctor's most important duties. Moreover, doctors should prove that they fulfill the duty of explanation. This paper reviews the civil liability for medical malpractice. Due to the nature of a doctors work, being charged with the lives, bodies, and health of patients, medical accidents may be inevi-table. Therefore, it is becoming more important for medical personnel to acquire ongoing medi-cal knowledge, keep medical records thoroughly, establish a good rapport with patients and faithfully perform the duty of explanation. We used a systematic review to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of a new health technology in Korea. The results of the systematic review are being used by the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service when the Ministry of Health and Welfare introduces new medical technology. The purpose of this study is to introduce this systematic review, which is the main methodology for evaluating the safety and effectiveness of new medical technology, and to share our experience of performing a systematic review to guide the reader in performing a systematic literature review accurately and easily. This paper presents the process of new health technology evaluation using a systematic review. A systematic review involves collecting current available evidence of health technology systematically. According to the evaluation process, in the first meeting of sub-committee, we develop a systematic review protocol including PICO and criteria for inclusion/exclusion. In the second meeting of sub-committee, we search comprehensively for appropriate literature according to the clinical question and to select in a clear and reproducible method. We also assess study quality, considering the internal validity and external validity of the selected literature, and make a table of extracted data. In the third meeting of subcommittee, we extract general information, study characteristics information, and study outcome information, and synthesize the outcomes. In the forth meeting of sub-committee, we finalize the conclusions based on synthesizing the studies. After the subcommittees? assessments, the results are presented to the Committee for New Health Technology. Finally, we report this result to the Ministry of Health and Welfare. The systematic review is useful for helping policymakers make decisions about the introduction of new health technology based on evidence. It enables people to minimize confusion due to weak evidence for health technology. In case of domestically developed technology and technology for rare disease, it is difficult assess health technology due to a lack of evidence, so assessing raw data (charts, results of clinical trials) is needed in addition to a systematic review. Furthermore, the government should support clinical studies to develop evidence on new health technologies with potential benefit, and the introductionof a conditional coverage decision in the new health technology assessment system is necessary to deal with uncertainty. The decision making for reimbursement has become more difficult than before because of the high cost innovative new technologies and limitation of healthcare resources. Evidence-based healthcare system has been introduced in Korea since 2007. Not infrequently, however, decision makers have been confronted with uncertainties caused by lack of information related to comparative effectiveness, real world outcomes, off-label drug use, combination therapy and cost-effectiveness. Under these circumstances, the decision making of whether or not to reimburse is inadequate because undesirable results may be induced. Managed entry agreement has been introduced globally. This kind of decision is conditional and linked with monitoring and following the results and adjusting the policy according to the results. Especially access with evidence development is a form of prospective data correction with conditional coverage in the case of existing uncertainties of effectiveness and safety. In Korea, there have been several examples including off-label drug use in oncologic drugs, new healthcare intervention and re-evaluation of existing drugs. Even though there has been some conflict and confusion because of inadequate systematization, it is strongly recommended to establish the conditional decision making system in Korea since this is a unique answer to manage the uncertainty in maintaining development of health science, keeping patients' right and using healthcare resources rationally.
