本研究の目的は，若年層女子の脚部の露出意識に着目し，脚部に関する意識や靴下に求められるデザイン性および靴下がファッションにおいて重要な位置を占める理由を明らかにすることである. アンケート調査結果から，ファッションスタイルはカジュアル系が約半数を占め，おしゃれへの関心度も非常に高いことが分かった. 3割以上が日常的にミニスカートを着用し，自分の脚部の露出に関しては8割近くが気にしておらず，異性が脚部を見てもなんら抵抗も持たないことが分かった. ただ，下着が見えることには抵抗があり， また，靴下は安価であるため，コーディネートやイメージ作りが簡便に行うことができ，ファッションにおいて重要なアイテムであると認識していることが明らかになった., The purpose of this research is to examine how conscious younger women are of their exposed legs. As stockings and socks play an important role in women's fashion，their design depends on the degree to which women are conscious of their exposed legs. The results of a questionnaire revealed that a casual style was preferred by more than half of the respondents，while their fashion style reflected their high interest in fashion. While more than 30% of respondents indicated that they wore miniskirts on a daily basis，roughly 80% of them did not care if those of the opposite sex looked at their exposed legs. However，they were averse to undergarments that spilled out of clothes.
