Using a data sample of 980 fb⁻¹ of e⁺e⁻ annihilation data taken with the Belle detector operating at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e⁺e⁻ collider, we report the results of a study of the decays of the Ωc⁰ charmed baryon into hadronic final states. We report the most precise measurements to date of the relative branching fractions of the Ωc⁰ into Ω⁻π⁺π⁰, Ω⁻π⁺π⁻π⁺, Ξ⁻K⁻π⁺π⁺, and Ξ⁰K⁻π⁺, as well as the first measurements of the branching fractions of the Ωc⁰ into Ξ⁻K̄⁰π⁺, Ξ⁰K̄⁰, and ΛK̄⁰K̄⁰, all with respect to the Ω⁻π⁺ decay. In addition, we investigate the resonant substructure of these modes. Finally, we present a limit on the branching fraction for the decay Ωc⁰ → Σ⁺K⁻K⁻π⁺.

「外国語学習の科学」（白井恭弘著、岩波新書）を高校生が読むことで、コミュニケーション重視の言語学習に関するメタ認知的知識の枠組みを広げ、現在の自己の英語学習方法を学習目的に沿うものにさせる手だてとした。

教大協のフィンランドの教育視察団に参加し、各訪問校で観察したことを中心に、フィンランド教育を「個人主義」「柔軟性」「基準」「自己責任」をサイクルにした文化的背景をもつものとして、学校制度や教育課程を含む公教育全般を分析する。集団主義の文化や国民性をもつ日本の教育との比較も試みる。

英語初・中級レベルの中高生の授業で、テキストreadingにoutput志向のshadowing＆self-talk法を取り入れることで、英語理解力が高めることができる。この方法はコミュニケーション重視の時代の授業外での自立的な学習方 法としても有効である。

Intravascular brachytherapy is a novel therapy for preventing the restenosis of coronary artery by use of low-dose irradiation. JAERI and Kyoto University have been developing sup 1 sup 9 sup 2 Ir radiation sources by the cooperative research project entitled as 'The research on safety and effectiveness of the intravascular brachytherapy for preventing restenosis of the coronary artery disease' since 1998. The radiation source was introduced into the stenosis through a catheter (a guide-tube to insert directly into vascular) to irradiate the diseased part. Ten sup 1 sup 9 sup 2 Ir seed sources (phi 0.4 mm x 2.5 mm) were positioned between nylon spacers (phi 0.3 mm x 1.0 mm) in a flexible covering tube and the tube was plugged with a core-wire; the tube was shrunk to fix the inside materials and the size is 0.46 mm in diameter and 3 m in length. The physically optimal design was determined to insert the radiation source easily into vascular and to get the dose uniformity in the diseased part. The production method of the radiation source, which is practical to use in the clinics was also established.

科学衛星EXOS-Cに搭載された分光計BUVによって, 波長260∿315nm域における太陽紫外光散乱強度が測定された。観測されたスペクトラムを反転解析することにより, 成層圏・中間圏のオゾン高度分布が1984年3月から1987年9月にかけて約2万個得られた。反転解析においては, 放射強度とオゾン濃度との近似線形関係を逐次仮定しながら, 線形束縛条件付き最小2乗法で解を反復的に修正していく解法を用いた。測定器感度の絶対値の較正は, 内之浦で行われたロケット・ゾンデ観測によって得られたオゾン濃度に, 同時観測されたデータが一致するように行われた。データ解析によって得られたオゾン濃度を幾つかの地上同時観測と比較した結果, 約±10%の範囲で一致していることが確認された。グローバルに観測されたデータから月毎の平均子午面分布を作成し, これと他の衛星観測に基づく暫定版CIRAオゾン・モデルとの比較を試みた。この結果, 気圧1mb∿10mbの高度領域では±10%ないし±15%の範囲で両者は良く一致していることが示された。1mbより高度の高い領域ではBUVの方が-10%∿-30%小さく, 逆に10mbより低い高度においてはBUVの方が, 緯度35°より高緯度側で+10%∿+30%大きい値を示した。各緯度帯ごとの3年半分のデータには1年以上の長期変動がみられた。その主たる原因は, 測定器感度の経年変化であると思われ, この変化は波長依存性を持ち時間的にも一定ではないことがわかった。, The ultraviolet spectrometer BUV aboard the satellite EXOS-C measured the Rayleigh scattering of solar UV radiation by the terrestrial atmosphere in the wavelength region 250-320nm. Stratospheric ozone profiles were retrieved from the observed spectra by means of the linear constrained inversion method with an iterative calculation of the inversion matrix. In this analysis solar UV flux reported in literature was also used as a reference spectrum. A small correction was made to the sensitivity of the spectrometer by fitting the retrieved profile to one obtained by rocket sonde or balloon sonde measurement. The intercomparison of the retrieved profiles with those from balloon-borne and ground-based observation shows an agreement within about 10%. Monthly-averaged meridional distributions were constructed using the retrieved data for the period of March 1984-September 1987. These values were compared with those of the interim ozone model for CIRA and an agreement within 10% was found in the hight range 1-10mb. By contrast, above the height of 0.6mb level, the EXOS-C data are systematically smaller by -10∿-20% than the interim CIRA model. Three and half years of ozone data reveal a trend whose value varies in time and has an altitude dependence. Ten gas scintillation proportional counters (GSPC's) are on board the X-ray astronomy satellite Tenma. The energy resolution of the GSPC's is twice as good as conventional proportional counters, which enables us to perform spectroscopic study of X-ray sources with substantially better sensitivity than previous satellites. This paper describes the detailed results of pre-flight calibrations on the performance of the GSPC's. The pulse-height spectra for monochromatic X-rays were measured at several energies with the GSPC's in the laboratory before launch. By fitting them with a model function, we obtained a semi-empirical formula for the response function of the GSPC's. The efficiency as a function of energy was also calculated. A grating spectrometer and a interforence filter photometer are used for the experiment. The experiment intends to measure spectra of the scattered radiation between 2500A and 3200A in daylight side of the earth and to deduce the density distribution of the terrestrial ozone layer. The observational region is between 80°N and 80°S approximately. 1. We administered the questionnaire to 860 schools of primary, secondaryschools, high schools, colleges and universities, and examined the appearance of the so-called maladjusted persons. 2. According to its results, among primary schools in Nagoya city, 10 times "fidget children" of other smaller cities and rural communities were found. 3. In the secondary schools in Nagoya city, the maladjusted behavior of the violence, playhooky and deprivation were frequently appeared. 4. In the cases of highschools, the maladjusted pupils were found more frequently in the private school than the public one. In the former, 2∿5 times violent vagrant pupils were appeared compared with the latter. In the opposite way, the public schools have a tendency that neuroses are more frequently appeared. 5. There are no differences among the primary, secondary schools and high schools, and also among all communities, concerning the frequency of childhood schizophrenia, epilepsy, the other psychosis and post-encephalitic syndrome. 6. One of the remarkable facts is that considerable numbers of the pupils of mental deficiency (below IQ75) are not educated in the mentally retarded class, and that the numbers of children concerned are almost the same in the mental retarded class. 7. The importance of the foremen's roles in industry has been greatly emphasized for these years and many investigators have been analyzing the roles and functions of the foreman. We, too, focused the problem of the human relationship in industry on the foremen's role and the training of them, and intended to investigate these from the following two points : (1) What kind of foreman is needed? (2) What kind of training is administrated in the formal training course for the formen and what is the effect of the traing? For the first problem, we interviewed the middle management of a few companies in Nagoya city and mailed questionnaires to about 1,200 companies. For the second problem, we investigated the trainings of 3 different kinds of companies. These companies administrated TWI as the formal training course. The results of our investigation were as follows : For the first problem, the company wants the foreman to take a unique role in accordance with the condition of the company. The aim of this research was to clarify the dynamic relationships between the teacher and the mentally retarded children in the classroom. Beyond the questionnaire level in which we were studying those relationship up to this time, we tried to study this problem in more concrete and real situation. For this purpose the teaching process analysis method was taken as our procedure. Two classes in the secondary school for the mentally retarded were chosen as the different typical patterns which were assumed from our previous research. The full member of our research group engaged to observe the practical teaching porocesses of both classes and analyzed those processes from the two major aspects. The first one was to compare quantitatively and qualitatively the degree of verbal communication by symbolizing the individual interaction between teacher and children as each basic unit. The second aspect was to find the dynamic process of the stream of the teaching situation by illustrating the each unit according to the teaching process. As the result, although we could find the considerable characteristics between those two classes at the standpoint of the teacher-children interaction, for the time being, we concluded not that such a different characteristics was caused by each teacher's ideational attitude on the education for the mentally retarded, but that each teacher who took such a different ideational attitude showed the characteristic type of the teacher-children interaction as to how to act and react to the children in the real classroom situation., 国立情報学研究所で電子化したコンテンツを使用している。

We aimed at the elemenatry and analytical study of questionnaire method compared with observation method. Two forms of questionnaire were constructed in order to find out the children's experiences in a certain day and each form of questionnaire contained 14 items, for instance, the menu for school feeding, frequency of answers in the classroom, affairs on the way home, play and playmates after school and so on. Observers were instructed to make a circumstantial report about children's behaviors in the classroom, on the way home, and in a recreation ground. Subjects : Elementary school children (5th and 6th grade boys and girls) Observer : Students of university and college-Instructor (of questionnaire); Investigators. Procedure : At first, the observers checked the behaviors of children from lunch time (school feeding time) to 5 o'clock in the evening. And then, the day after that, questionnaires were administered by an investigator in the classroom. Findings : (1) The type of question in the questionnaire method were apt to be the cause of different reports concerning the same behavior. (2) Observation (method) data often showed nice correspondence between the two observers as for the reports of simple overt behavior. The parental attitude to the mentally retarded children seems to be influenced by many conditions (IQ, onset of mental retardation, social status of family, etc.). We examined with questionnaire method about the relationship between the parental attitude and the surrounding conditions. The number of subjects were 547 parents of primary school children and 336 parents of middle school children. The method : We compared the responses of parents which were described about their children, the class and the teacher, with the evaluation of teachers to their pupils and parents about the attitude of their children. The findings obtained were as follows : (1) On the parental attitudes about the entrance to the classes for the mentally retarded, the parents of lower IQ children had a tendency to desire to enter the class, but a quarter of the parents whose children had IQ suitable degree (IQ50∿74) to enter that class did not desire. (2) The correlation of the parental attitudes about the entrance to the classes for the mentally retarded and social status of the family had no significant meaning. (3) There were some significant relationship between the zealousness of parental attitudes to education and the degree of satisfaction to the entrance. According to the evalution of teachers. they are zealous about the education of their children.
