保育士養成課程における基礎科目「英語」の授業の役割について考察する。本来、基礎科目の「英語」においては、学生が今まで習ってきた英語を基礎にその復習になる内容を提示し、実用的な英語の習得に重点を置いていることが多い。しかし、保育士養成課程において、同様にすることが必ずしも必要ではないのではないかと疑問を持つ。それは、保育士養成課程に在籍する学生が求めている学習において、「英語」の優先順位がかなり低いことや英語に苦手意識を抱いていることが多いからである。また、本校に在籍するほとんど全ての学生が将来保育職に就きたいと希望しており、彼らは絵本には大変親しみと興味を抱いている。 この現実を踏まえ、本校の基礎科目「英語」の授業において、英語絵本を取り扱い、英語絵本の読み聞かせの実践を行った。そして、受講学生の英語に対する意識調査を行い、その内容と結果から見えてくる課題を探った上で、保育士養成課程における英語授業の役割を考えていく。本授業においては、英語絵本を英語教材としてのみ扱うのではなく、文化・表現として扱っている。英語絵本を取り扱った授業を通して、学生の英語への意識変容と英語の基礎技能の向上と共に絵本の読み聞かせの体験による保育技術に活かせる力を育むことを目指し、今後の保育士養成課程における基礎科目「英語」の授業の役割と課題を考える。

The purpose of the present study was to examine the effects on qualifications and abilities as preschool teachers through conducting the story-telling and social skills education from the view point of the connectivity from pre to primary school. A questionnaire was filled in by 18 university students who attended the seminar,“ Contents of childcare and education of language.” The result of ANOVA indicated that three aspects of teaching standards for a kindergarten teacher training program, efficacy of social skills education, help-seeking preference were increased. This suggested that repeating the evaluations and improvemtents through the training of story-telling and social skills education in the seminar is effective in enhancing several traits and skills of preschool teachers.

論文, 平和ワークにおける芸術アプローチ、そしてファシリテーション・メディエーションの交差点について、実践例を基に意味づけする。第一に、人と人が家庭・社会・国家・国際社会等という多様な環境の中で生きていくために必要なコミュニケーションの多様性の中で、平和創造・平和構築・紛争転換の領域から語られる「ファシリテーション・メディエー ション」がどういった立ち位置にあるのかを明らかにし、第二に、芸術アプローチの一つの要素としての「もの語り（ものを語ること）」を取り上げ、「もの語り」が如何なるファシリテーションによって可能となるか、特にサークルプロセスの手法を通じて、それが如何に平和ワークを可能にするかを検証する。, The article examines the relationship between the arts-based approaches in peacework (peacebuilding work) and acilitation/mediation using the examples of experimental practices. First, where facilitation and mediation are located in the area of peace creation, peacebuilding and conflict transformation is described as methods of communication that are necessary in the diverse levels of society/world. Second, how facilitation enables story-telling as an arts approach is explained by using the method of circle process that makes peacework possible.

[Abstract] This study was conducted to examine the relationships among (1) generation-gaps young people perceive between themselves and their parents' generation, (2) images of their parents' generation, and (3) story-telling by their parents about the past. A survey was conducted on 284 university students. The results showed that respondents experienced story-telling more from their mothers than from their fathers, and more about events in the respondents' childhood than about earlier events. Moreover, those who experienced story-telling from their mothers more frequently rated their parent's generation as having more vitality. A similar tendency was identified regarding the fathers' story-telling among female respondents. On hearing stories, respondents who felt pity tended to have images of toughness and those who felt envy and interest tended to have vitality images about their parents' generation. Finally, those who experienced story-telling from their mothers more frequently perceived smaller generation-gaps regarding some topics. In female respondents, more frequent story-telling from their fathers was related to smaller generationgaps.
