This paper presents results of full-scale cyclic loading tests under constant deformation amplitude conducted to evaluate deformation capacity of welded beam-to-column connection adopted in moment frames. Test specimens are designed and fabricated to investigate the influence of flexural strength of beam end connection. The deformation capacity expressed by the relationships between ductility and cumulative plastic deformation is revealed from test results. The relationships between crack growth at welded joint and strength of connection is evaluated regarding deformation amplitude. Seismic response of the passive controlled structure using buckling-restrained braces (BRB) can be ensured when the BRB connection have sufficient strength. Therefore, it is necessary to prevent the occurrence of slippage or yielding at the connections. In this paper, parametric seismic response analysis was conducted to clarify main factors concerning strength of connections that will affect seismic response of structures. In the analysis, strength variations of BRB and bolted connection are considered. Finally, in order to ensure performance of passive controlled structures and decrease damage of frames, the methodology to determine the demand of strength for connections is revealed., Transactions of AIJ. Previous researches have shown that subject relative clauses are easier to process than object relative clauses in many languages. Roland et al. (2007), however, claimed that the processing ease of subject relative clauses does not depend on structural complexity or linear distance, but it depends on the difference of discourse function between subject and object relative clauses. They confirmed the appropriate context reduced the processing load of object relative clauses. In this paper, we examined the validity of the discourse-function account (Roland et al. 2007, 2008) using a combination of a corpus and an experimental research. The results showed that the discourse-function account was not successful in explaining Japanese data. This suggests that the reduction of processing load in Roland et al. (2007) might be derived from the repetition of noun phrases rather than the relative clause processing itself.

This paper addresses the derivation of collapse load of beam flange to circular tube column connections with exterior diaphragm based on plastic analysis. In order to verify the validity of the derived collapse load, component tests of the connections were conducted. Major findings obtained from tests are summarized as follows: (1) the yield strength obtained from the tests was about 80 to 90% of the calculated collapse loads, (2) the local deformation of the circular tube column that corresponds to the calculated collapse load is small enough for the yield strength, (3) the derived collapse load formula which is considering the shape of the connections correlated well with the test results, and captured the trend in a reasonable manner, (4) the maximum strength obtained from the tests was about 110 to 120% of the calculated maximum loads.

Seismic response of two high-rise buildings, 75m and 150m height, subjected to ground motions predicted for Uemachi Fault was investigated by numerical analysis to estimate plastic deformation demand on steel structural members. From the result, the inelastic response of the structure under Uemachi Fault was larger than the response of conventional ground motions. The maximum ductility factor and cumulative plastic rotation of the story and the plastic hinges at beam ends are obtained. These values are same or more than maximum response obtained from predicted long-period ground motions for Tonankai earthquake.

The number of manufacturers engaged in reuse/recycling activities and there are growing in response to the growth in extended producer responsibility. The reuse/recycling methods in some manufacturing processes have established, but there are some problems concerning those cost and the stock quantities and stock points through supply chain. The circulation supply chain including processes from the collection to product reuse/recycling is called Closed-Loop Supply Chain (CLSC). CLSC has traditional forward supply chain activities and a set of activities required for reverse supply chain. The purpose of this paper is to design CLSC model including Vender Managed Inventory (VMI). We study the availability of the proposal using simulation in which we investigated the VMI among CLSC in consideration of collection rate and reclamation rate in reverse supply chain. We confirm the results of simulations show the efficiency of the proposal.

application/pdf, 論文(Article), 頭部外傷は若い生産年齢層に多く,社会的にもそのリハビリテーション(以下リハビリ)に期待がもたれている。回復期以後,日常生活動作に問題がない症例でもいわゆる高次脳機能障害(認知障害,行動障害,感情障害など)が残ることがある。我々は,交通外傷による高次脳機能障害例に対する1年間のリハビリの経過を述べながら,認知リハビリについて考察した。従来の医学的リハビリにおける狭義の認知リハビリに加えて,本人の障害への自覚を促し,意欲を引き出すこと,家族障害への理解を含めた環境調整を行うことなどが就業までのリハビリに有効であった。認知リハビリでは,個々の症状,病期に応じた個別の様々な方法を取り入れる必要があると思われた。, From the result that traumatic brain injury strikes most frequently in young productive adults, rehabilitation to those patients is more expected. In many cases, they have problems of higher brain function, even though they can do all their ADL activities just like before the injury. We reported one case of cognitive rehabilitation who was an eighteen years old man getting traffic accident and considered what approaches ware effective as his cognitive rehabilitation. Adding to the cognitive training for his dysfunction, the recognition of his own disability, pulling out of his volition and an environmental arrangement containing family's understanding of his disability ware effective in his rehabilitation for work. It is necessary to use various methods for cognitive rehabilitation depending on each severity or the period of injury.
