Abstract

The article focuses on the study concerning changes of blood pressure of the elders during impression taking of the upper edentulous jaw. The study involves several elderly edentulous patients without cardiovascular disorders. It measures the blood pressure both in border molding and final impression through an uninvasive continuous blood pressure monitoring system based on arterial tonometry. It proposes that blood pressures are greatly affected by impression in elderly edentulous patients.
