TQC(トポロジカル量子計算)のモデルとして,再度注目されているスピンネットワークと呼ばれる図式において,評価式の計算が非常に楽になる部分と,複雑になる部分と両極端に分かれる。特に重要な四面体ネットは,結果からみても非常に複雑なものである。実際,別稿[2]でスピンネット変形に基づく計算を見ていただければ,かなり大変であることがわかる。そのため,従来から「彩色法」と呼ばれる方法が注目されていたが,結果的にそれで求められることがわかったとしても,どういう仕組みで求めうるのかがあまり説明がなく,理解という点では心もとない。そこで,本論文では彩色法の基礎付けを試みて,実際その解釈で四面体ネットの評価式を導いてみた。, For usual students to study spin-networks, the chromatic evaluation method is very attractive but hard to understand why we can obtain it by this method. In this paper, we discuss why the chromatic method goes well. Based on our interpretation, we obtain the evaluation of the tetrahedron spin network on the line of Kauffman-Lins[4].

TQC(トポロジカル量子計算)において,スピンネットは重要なモデルである。その中でも,6j記号,すなわち,F行列にかかわる「四面体ネット」は特に重要であるが,スピンネットでの公式は極めて複雑である。それに正面攻撃をかけた[3]については注目していたが,わかりにくい部分もあり,少しミスもあったので,ここで訂正を兼ねてまとめなおしたい。, The evaluation for the tetrahedron spin network is very complicated. The paper [3] is one of the chal-lenging ones to compute this evaluation. But it is also complicated and hard to read for students. So we try to organize it to observe easily the procedure of the proof.

TQC(トポロジカル量子計算)とは最近注目されている,非可換エニオンに基づいた量子コンピュータ実現のための新しい方式で,さまざまな領域と関連している興味深い分野である。しかし,新しい分野なので全体を見通してわかりやすく書かれているテキストがあまりなく,手っ取り早く量子回路の話まで統一したものを先に[10]で著したが,そこでは理論的な背景として要になっているモジュラーS行列に触れる余裕はなかった。また,これをめぐって非常に有効なモデルが立てられているが,まだ論文・著書には細かな間違いも多いので,この機会にそれらも含めて修正しつつ教育的な解説を試みたい。論文の構成としては,まず公理的な方法でSとその性質について述べ,次に有効なモデルとしてのスピンネットにおいてTQCを論じる。さらに,量子群におけるWZWモデルについての結果を紹介する。その際,具体例として[10]同様フィボナッチエニオンを選んで例示・確認することにしたい。, The term `TQC' means the topological quantum computation, which is one of remarkable theories to realize quantum computers. This theory is related to various fields; theory of quantum groups, Lie algebras, Hopf algebras and conformal field or string theory. But there are few textbooks which readers of other fields can read easily. We wrote a survay[10]easy to observe from the basics of TQC theory to basic quantum gates for quantum computers. But we cannot explain modular S-matrices that is one of the keys in TQC in the preceding survey. So, in this paper, we try to express total basic issue including theories around modular S-matrix. In the many papers for TQC, there are some subtle mistakes and we correct them in this paper. At first we introduce formulae for modular S-matrix in the axiomatic (categorical) approach. Secondly we give an important model for TQC; spin network model based on the Temperly-Lieb-Jones algebra. Finally we mention another important model suk(2). In each levels, Fibannaci anyon is a basic example to explain them.

結び目の数学は1980年代に入って様々な分野の最先端研究と関連して急速に発展してきた学問である。また一方で,結び目は私たちの日常生活において身近なものである。ここでは,この「結び目の数学」の教育的意義を考察することを目的とし,小学生の空間図形に対する認識を調査した。その結果,三葉結び目は中学年の段階からほぼ正しくかけるようになり,立方体に比べるとより早い時期からほぼ正しくかけることがわかった。また,立方体の図表現とその図形の認識についての関係を調べたところ,正しく表現している子どもの方が,見えていない面の数や辺の数などを正しく認識している場合が多いことがわかった。このことから,交点数の少ない結び目を扱えば,子どもが自分で図をかきながら,空間図形の動的な扱い(回転移動・対称移動など)を考察したりすることが中学年の段階から可能であり有効ではないかという結論を見いだした, This report outlines the importance of teaching knot theory to students from elementary school. The investigation of the pupils' representation and cognition of the spatial figures was carried out. It is found that the pupils in the middle grade of elementary school are easier to represent the trefoil knot than the cube. It is also found that pupils who represent the cube well can recognize the cube well. We think that when pupils learn spatial figure, it is effective to use the one which can be represented easier will be more effective. Therefore it is found the possibility of learning spatial figure with using knot as a teaching material in the middle grade of elementary school.

金沢大学理工研究域機械工学系, Making knot is important work in the textile industry. Now, devices which make knots such as knotters and splicers are spread. However these devices cannot make all knots used in the textile industry, thus workers still make knots by their hand in some textile mills. These mills, therefore, demand to make knots automatically. In this study, we used a set of parts which is called a mold, to make various knots. Tracks corresponding to each knot must be carved on the surface of a mold. However experience by practice is needed to design a mold, thus a logical design process is demanded for anyone to design tracks. We used the knot theory and the Dowker notation to adapt the mold for each knot, then we tried to move and/or compose tracks in order to obtain the appropriate path. © 2008 The Textile Machinery Society of Japan.

The purposes of this article are to consider the educational significance of teaching mathematical knot theory at senior high school, and to discuss the possibility and benefits of teaching knot theory through "mathematical activities" as follows: After studying the notion of "knot invariants", that is, linking number, tricolorability and Jones polynomials of knots, the students find various properties of knots by experiments or investigations, confirm them, generalize their own results and announce their research results. Our research is based on teaching experiments in a senior high school.
