We performed two experiments to examine how the hue affects the ocurrence of texture laciness, in which one of two textures is seen through the other in front of it for some arrangement.Nineteen undergraduates rated the texture laciness, and also estimated an apparent depth magnitude between the textures. We varied the hue of one of two textures keeping that of the other constant in Experiment 1. We varied the hue of background in orange, yellow, green, blue green, white and black, keeping the hues of the textures constant in Experiment 2.The texture laciness occurred more strongly with the decreasing similarity in hue between the textures, and also with the increasing difference in similarity of hue between the background and each of the textures. The results indicate that the occurrence of laciness is affected not by the local similarity of hue between the textures but the global similarity of hue among the textures and the background.

Colors induce us various emotions and impressions. The emotion is described by the color emotion words such as light and warm. It is very important to know the relationship between colors and emotion words. I systematically selected 212 colors specimens from SCOTOD2450 (kensaikan) and selected 151 color emotion words. I carried out an experiment using color specimens.43 females students were asked to choose only one emotion word which describes best the color in question.34female students were asked to choose one color specimen which describes best the emotion word in question.I tried to find out the relationship between colors and emotion words. However 19-37(Av.27)emotion words were selected against one color specimen and 7-31(Av.21)color chips selected against an emotion word.The highest frequency word was `jimina'. The frequency was 263.9 words were chosen more than 100 times. Only two words, `awai' and `azayaka-na' are included in JIS Z 8102.It was difficult to connect colors with emotion words. In future, it will be important to collect a further variety of data to understand the magnitude of these differences. 住宅街の景観評価に及ぼす建物の外壁の色彩の影響について検討した。洋風住宅街と和風住宅街を取り上げ、それらを写した写真にコンピュータによる画像処理を加えることで一つの建物とそれを取り巻く建物群の色彩を統制し、景観評価を行ってもらった。その結果、不調和感を感じ始める建物の外壁の彩度の値がそれぞれの色彰条件ごとに明らかにされた。そして、建物の彩度が増すと町並み全体の不調和感が増大するということがわかった。特に、周囲の建物の明度が全体に低い場合には、不調和を感じ始める彩度が低くなることが明らかにされた。また、特に、中心の建物の色相が赤と紫の場合、彩度8以上になると景観として耐え難い配色であるという反応が多くなった。以上より、建物の外壁の色彩を決定する際には、周囲の建物の色彩を考慮することが重要で、しかも、高彩度の外壁は避けるべきであるとの結論に達した。, Colours of a house and neighbouring houses in a photograph of a town were changed by a computer graphic software. The subjects rated colour harmony of the town. When the chroma of the central house became higher，the rating of colour harmony of the town became lower. Especial1y，if the value of the colour of the neighbouring houses is low，the subjects tend to dislike the high chroma house. When the colour of the central house is red or purple and the chroma is over 8，many subjects rated the town “intolerable”.

In this paper, the author studied about effects of three attribute of color on correlation between maturity of adolescence and color image. The results of measurements in this study suggest the following points : (1) The measured value of concrete color image was high in the group of high chroma in all color samples used for measurement, and low in the group of low value. (2) As a result of comparing color images that were analyzed by the semantic differential technique, the color image of green yellow was not influenced by value and chroma. As for yellow, green, blue, blue green, blue purple, purple, and red purple, color images in the group of low value differed from other groups. In color images of red and yellow red, the influence by change of value and chroma was large. (3) As a result of classifying color images, the image reminded by chromatic was concrete, on the other hand the tendency to image abstractly from achromatic was strong. In the reaction of both concrete color image and abstract color image, high reaction were in the group of high chroma, the group of high value, and the group of low value in this order. (4) In correlation with the degree of abstraction of an image and the kind of maturity of personality, high correlation coefficient was seen between SR and color image, without being influenced of hue, value, and chroma.
