高レベル放射性廃棄物の地層処分における地質環境の長期安定性に係る評価のうち、火山・火成活動に関する技術的課題の一つとして、マグマ活動範囲の評価技術の高度化は必要不可欠である。そのための有効な手法として、火山体の地形解析による岩脈の分布範囲の把握が期待される。近年では、手作業では作業量が膨大で困難であった作業が、コンピュータによる地形解析技術の発達により、多くの作業量を簡易的に行えるようになった。本報告では、GISソフトウェアを用いた火山体を形作る等高線の形状解析手法について記述する。, Advancement of the evaluation technology of the magma activity range is essential as one of the technical issues related to volcanic and igneous activities in the evaluation of the long-term stability of the geological environment in the geological disposal of high-level radioactive waste. As an effective method, topographical analysis of volcanic edifices is expected to be used to determine the distribution area of dikes. In recent years, the development of computer-based topographic analysis technology has made it possible to simply perform a large volume of work that would otherwise be difficult due to the manual handling. This report describes an analysis method for the shape of contour lines that forms volcanic edifices using GIS software.

地下貯留層の天然ガスは、断層や割れ目に沿った移流によって地表に到達するので、天然ガス資源探査の初期段階においては、地表でのメタンの漏出を検出するための調査がしばしば行われる。一方、沈み込み帯に沿ったスラブの脱水に由来する流体も溶存ガスとしてメタンを豊富に含むことが多いが、これらはしばしば高温、かつ塩分に富むなど特徴的な化学的特徴を有することから、放射性廃棄物の地層処分における重要な評価対象として指摘されている。本研究では、高精度(ppbレベル)かつ短い測定間隔(約1秒)でメタンガス濃度が測定できる波長スキャンキャビティーリングダウン分光法(CRDS法)による携帯型分析装置を採用し、スラブ脱水起源の深部流体の湧出を検出するための車載測定の適用性について検討した。事例対象とした紀伊半島南東部の本宮地域での車載測定では、メタン含有温泉である川湯温泉および湯の峰温泉において、バックグラウンド濃度を超える明らかなメタンアノマリ($>$2ppm)が検出された。ガウスプルームモデルに基づく大気中のメタン拡散の推定結果は、車載測定の結果と調和的である。本研究で適用したCRDS法による車載測定は、資源探査などにおいて、地表でのメタン漏出を迅速かつ容易に特定するのに有効な手法となる可能性がある。本報告書では、車載測定の実施事例に加え、測定装置の使用方法についても併せて取りまとめた。, Methane (CH$_{4}$) seepage to the surface in the early stage of hydrocarbon exploration has attracted increasing attention. Also, detection of CH$_{4}$-rich fluid emission can be applied to reconnaissance surveys for safety management in geological disposal of radioactive waste because high-temperature fluids that come from slab dehydration along a subduction zone are often rich in CH$_{4}$. These fluids likely migrate along faults and fractures. In this study, we employed a portable analyzer that used a wavelength-scanned cavity ring-down spectroscopy (CRDS) with high accuracy (in ppb levels) and short measurement intervals ($\sim$1 s). An on-vehicle measurement that employed the CRDS system was performed in the Hongu area in southeast Kii Peninsula, Japan, which included CH$_{4}$-bearing hot springs (Kawayu and Yunomine). The measurement near the hot springs detected a clear CH$_{4}$ anomaly ($>$2 ppm) that exceeded the background concentration. The estimation of CH$_{4}$ diffusion in air based on the Gaussian plume model corresponded to the result of the on-vehicle measurement. This study confirmed that the method using the vehicle-mounted CRDS analyzer can help in quickly and easily identifying CH$_{4}$-bearing fluid emissions at the surface. Additionally, directions for use of the analyzer were summarized in this report.

AVFサイクロトロンを有する加速器施設の研究者・技術者が集まって行う会議について、発足のいきさつやこれまでの開催状況の紹介と、今回の会議報告を行う。

活断層を見出す調査技術の向上は、地層処分事業を進めるにあたって、断層のずれに伴う透水性の増加が生じる場所を避ける観点から重要である。通常、活断層の存在は、断層運動の地形学的痕跡である断層変位地形の空中写真判読と、現地の地質調査により確認する。しかし、地形学的な痕跡が不明瞭な場合の調査手法は十分整備されていない。そこで、本研究では、既往の地形学的手法を高度化する観点から、活断層を見出す指標となり得る地形学的特徴の直線状ないし弧状配列(リニアメント)を、通常の活断層研究ではほとんど無視されるような明瞭さが乏しいランクまで判読した。調査地域は、測地学的なひずみ集中帯であり、1997年鹿児島県北西部地震(Mj 6.6)の震源断層が伏在している南九州せん断帯である。本研究では、1/25,000地形図62枚の範囲の空中写真判読を実施し、得られた1,327条のリニアメントを地形図上に示し、リニアメントの分布密度,方向性,長さ,地形,地質などの項目について整理した。その結果、南九州せん断帯方向の東西系のリニアメントが西部で卓越し、鹿児島県北西部地震の余震分布域ではリニアメントが高密度で分布することが明らかとなった。これらの結果とともに、明瞭さ,方向,長さなどと地形的特徴の組み合わせによる類型化に基づく代表的な13条のリニアメントについてカタログをとりまとめた。, Improvement of the investigation techniques to identify active faults is important for the implementation of geological disposal projects from the viewpoint of avoiding locations where permeability increases due to fault displacement. Generally, the existence of active faults is confirmed by aerial photography interpretation of fault displacement topography, which is a topographical trace of fault movement, and on-site geological surveys. However, the investigation method for cases where the topographical traces are unclear is not sufficiently developed. Therefore, to improve existing topographical methods, this study deciphered lineaments up to the rank of poorly defined features, which are almost neglected in general active fault research. The investigation area is one of the geodetic strain concentration zone, called the southern Kyushu shear zone, where the seismogenic faults of the 1997 Kagoshima northwest earthquakes are concealed. We conducted aerial photography interpretation of 62 sheets of 1/25,000 topographic maps, and obtained 1,327 lineaments. Distribution density, direction and length of lineaments were also investigated with topographic and geologic information. As a result, it was clarified that the east-west lineaments in the south Kyushu shear zone predominate in the western part, and the lineaments are densely distributed in the aftershock distribution area of the Kagoshima northwest earthquake. Along with these results, we have compiled a catalog of typical 13 lineaments based on combinations of clarity, direction, length and geomorphic characters of lineaments.

地層処分システムに影響を及ぼす可能性がある天然現象の一つに、地震及び断層活動が挙げられる。地震及び断層活動では、断層変位による直接的な影響に加え、地震動に伴う湧水の発生や泥火山の活動、地震断層の活動により引き起こされる流体の移行経路の変化や副断層の形成のような二次的な影響も考慮する必要がある。本稿では、これらの二次的な現象による地層処分システムへの影響の理解を目的として、水理学的影響(湧水・泥火山)、力学的な影響(副断層)を対象に、既往研究を収集し取りまとめた結果を報告する。関連するキーワードを各国語で検索することで、国内外の142編の文献を収集することができた。その結果、それぞれの二次的影響の研究事例を概観し、地層処分の観点で今後の評価技術の高度化に必要な課題を抽出した。地震等の影響による湧水については、湧出機構、影響範囲、活動履歴に関する事例の蓄積を課題として示した。泥火山については、形成の要因となる異常間隙水圧のメカニズムの検討及び予測手法の高度化を課題として示した。副断層については、詳細な分布の把握と形成機構の検討の蓄積が課題であると示した。, One of the natural phenomena that may affect the geological disposal system are earthquake and fault activity. Fault displacement due to the earthquake and fault activity will be considered the direct effects. In addition to it, it is necessary to consider the secondary effects include secondary faults formed by the seismic fault activity as well as spring water and mud volcanoes that are generated by fluid movement attributed to the fault activity. This paper introduces previous studies performed focused on the hydraulic effects (spring water and mud volcanoes) and mechanical effects (secondary faults) in order to understand the effects of these secondary phenomena on the geological disposal system. We were able to collect 142 literatures from Japan and overseas by searching for related keywords in Japanese and English. As a result, we compiled case studies of each secondary impact. From the viewpoint of geological disposal, we extracted the following issues for future research and development. As for the sump water induced by earthquakes and faulting, accumulation of information related to its mechanism, affected area, and activity history is required. As for the mud volcanoes, reviewing of the mechanism of anomalous pore water pressure that causing the formation, also development of estimation technique are required. And for the secondary faults, accumulation of the detailed spatial distribution and reviewing of formation mechanism are required.

本稿は環太平洋の熱帯・亜熱帯域を中心に伝統的な舟の船殻形成について概観するものである。原初的な舟としては（1）筏と葦舟（raft and reed boat）、（2）皮舟ないし獣皮舟（skin boat）、（3）樹皮舟（bark boat）、および（4）刳り舟（dugout canoe）の４系統が考えられる。まず西村真次にそって古代日本にも丸木舟以外に多様な舟の船殻形成法があったことを指摘する。そして比較の視野を広げ、環太平洋地域熱帯・亜熱帯部における伝統的な船について文献、博物館資料および現地調査に基づき報告する。対象としたのは、オ ーストラリアと南米における樹皮舟、南米の葦舟、そして東南アジア・オセアニアおよび南米の筏である。そして最後にコンチキ号以来の復元船による航海実験にもふれ、近年発見が増加している琉球列島の旧石器文化を残した人類は、どのような船を使って琉球列島あるいは日本列島に海を渡ってきたかについて考察する。, Article

ソフトウェアの品質向上は，ソフトウェア開発や保守の効率を高めるために重要な活動である. リファクタリングはソフトウェアの品質を保つために重要な作業であるが，複雑な作業を伴うため，開発者には多くの知識や経験が要求される. 本研究では，プログラムスライスに基づく凝集度を用いたメソッド抽出リファクタリング支援手法について評価実験を行った. その結果，手法の有効性の有無，有効に働く場合の条件について知見を得た., Software quality improvement is one of the important activities to enhance the efficiency of development and software maintainability. Refactoring makes software easier to understand and change. However，the criteria of understandability and maintainability are different among developers. In this study, we performed the evaluation of the technique supporting extract method refactoring used by slice-based cohesion. As a result, we found the efficacy of the technique and conditions which the technique work effectively.

ソースコード中で互いに一致または類似した部分を持つコード片のことをコードクローンと呼び，特にメソッド単位のコードクローンを類似メソッドという．もし，類似メソッドを持つメソッドに欠陥が含まれている場合，類似メソッドとなっている他のメソッドにも同様の欠陥が含まれている可能性が高く，それらを修正するのは大きなコストとなる．この問題の解決策として，類似メソッドの集約が有効であるが，類似メソッド間に差分が存在する場合，その集約は難しい．そこで，本研究では，リファクタリング作業者が選択した類似メソッド対に対して，その集約候補を提示することにより，作業を支援する手法を提案する．また，提案手法を統合開発環境Eclipseのプラグインとして実装した．実験では，オープンソースソフトウェア上の類似メソッド対に対して本手法を適用した．また，ツールによって提示された集約候補が開発者の考えに近いものであるかアンケート評価を行い，提案手法が有効であることを確認した., A code fragment that has identical or similar code fragments is called code clone. Especially, method-base code clone is called similar method. If a similar method contains a defect, a developer needs to check all of similar methods for the same defect and it needs very high cost. Merging similar methods by refactoring is one of solutions to this problem. However, it is difficult for a developer to merge similar methods with differences. In this paper, we propose an approach that supports to merge similar methods with differences by providing candidates of merging similar methods given by a developer. The proposed approach has been implemented as a plugin of Eclipse. In the case study, we applied the proposed approach to actual similar methods in open source projects. We conducted questionnaire and then investigated the similarity between candidates derived by our tool and the intention of the developers. As a result of the investigation, we confirmed the effectiveness of the proposed approach.

環太平洋海域には筏、カヌー、カヤックをはじめ多様な舟が使用されてきた。それはモンゴロイド集団の移動と一部重なることを見れば、人類移動の大きな枠組みの中で捉える必要が確認できる。舟の多くは海の常民たる海人・海民集団の生存に対する必須アイテムであり、比較研究が望まれる。また海の世界は陸上世界とは異なったスケールの技術移転と複合が起りうるという特徴が指摘できる。本稿ではその具体的事例としてハワイ王国から伝わったアウトリガー式漁船が小笠原諸島と八丈島でどのように日本の伝統と融合したかを明らかにしたい。, Article, 研究ノート

本稿は産業レベルの変数（専有可能性と技術機会）および企業レベルの変数（売上高とキャッシュフロー）を用いて，わが国企業の研究開発投資に対する決定要因を論じた．専有可能性と技術機会は，これまで数量化の難しかった変数であり，本稿では質問票調査から得たデータを基礎に作成している．推計の結果，専有可能性と技術機会は，いずれも研究開発投資の決定要因として重要な要因であることが示された．これに対して，キャッシュフローは，先行研究とは異なり，大規模企業・中小規模企業のいずれかにおいてもバインディングであることが示された．, Two sets of variables, namely industry variables such as appropriability, technological opportunity, and firm specific variables such as sales, cash flow are both employed to explain R&D investments by firms. The appropriability and technological opportunity variables are constructed from a newly assembled database. The regression results show that appropriability and technological opportunity are important determinants of R&D investments. Cash flow constrains R&D investment of both large firms and medium firms.

日本経済の潜在成長率は人口の高齢化などのために低下する可能性が高い．その意味で技術進歩の果たす役割はきわめて大きい．研究費の大きな伸びも期待しにくいので，効率的なイノベーション・システムを作っていく必要がある．一国のイノベーション・システムは産業，大学，政府の３者からなりその間の相互作用の中で形づくられていく．日本の産業は１９８０年代前半には強い競争力を示したが，情報技術，バイオテクノロジーといった新しい産業技術においては遅れをとっている．これらの分野の技術に適合的な産業組織，企業組織へと進化していくことが求められる．大学はその点でみても日本のイノベーション・システムの改革を図る上できわめて重要な役割を果たす．政府の政策も，これらの新しい産業技術へあたらしい対応が必要となっている．, Factors of production available to the Japanese economy are expected not to increase much in the 21st century. Therefore, the role of technological progress is important to sustain even a modest rate of economic growth. As it is difficult to expect a significant increase in R&D expenditure, we need to create an efficient innovation system. A national innovation system comprises industry, university and government, and it can be seen as an outcome of the interaction of these three sectors. Japan's industry was highly competitive in the early 1980s, but it is lagging in such new areas as information technology and biotechnology. These technologies require firm and industrial organization which are consistent with their technological imperative. The reform of the university and its relationship with industry will be a key factor in creating an efficient innovation system in Japan. Government policy also needs a new approach to promote these technologies and industries. A national innovation system comprises industry, university and government, and it can be seen as an outcome of the interaction of these three sectors. These technologies require firm and industrial organization which are consistent with their technological imperative.
