Abstract

The article presents a study which examines the histopathological and histomorphometrical effects of non-resorbable membrane on bone formation after the implant of apatite hydroxyapatite (HAP) blocks. It details the method of the study in which HAP blocks were implanted on the parietal bone of rats to examine the tissue reaction and osteogenesis. The result of the study indicates the effectivity of expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (e-TPFE) membrane for osteogenesis in HAP grafts on bone.
