本稿は、大坂の陣前後の時期に平戸オランダ商館の商務員エルベルト・ワウテルセンが商館長ジャック・スペックス宛に発信した書状を主な史料として、オランダ人が畿内で行っていた商務活動に注目し、その実態を実証的に明らかにすることを目的としている。 まず、開設直後の平戸商館とその販売活動についての概況を把握した後に、ワウテルセンの経歴に関する情報を整理し、本稿における中核的史料であるワウテルセン発信書状とスペックス受信書状綴帳について詳述した。 その上で、ワウテルセンが畿内で行っていた主な商務活動について、大羅紗の販売、宿主との関係、販売商品の対価物を取り上げ、史料から拾い上げた関連記述に基づいて、その実態の把握を試みた。 その結果、大羅紗の販売については、需要が見込まれていたにもかかわらず、大坂の陣による商業活動の混乱の影響と需要の低迷のために、平戸商館が期待していたような結果につながらなかったことを明らかにした。 また、畿内で商務活動を行うにあたってオランダ人が地元の宿主と取り結んだ関係については、両者の間に緊密な協力関係が築かれていたことを示した。宿主が果たしていた具体的な役割として、商館員の派遣先での滞在場所と商品の保管場所の提供に加えて、商務に関する助言、商館から預かった商品の代理販売、取引管理・支援などの役割があった。 さらに、オランダ人が販売商品を売却して得ていた対価物について、主力を注いで獲得に励んでいたのは日本銀であったが、そのほかにも銅や木材などの原料、刀や火縄銃などの武器に加えて、漆器などの工芸品も含まれていたことを明らかにした。 江戸時代初期の商業関連史料がほとんど伝存していないなか、本稿では、オランダ側史料の精査・分析を通じて、日本におけるオランダ人の商務活動の実態のみならず、日本の商業活動の一端をも解明することにつなげた。

Adhesion strength between epoxy resin and copper alloy lead-frame was improved using silver layer electrodeposited from acid aqueous solution. Surface roughness of silver layer electrodeposited on copper alloy lead-frame was controlled by the electrodeposition current density. The surface roughness of silver layer electrodeposited from acid aqueous solution was increased up to 2.11 μm, while that electrodeposited from cyanide aqueous solution was around 0.9 μm. The adhesion strength between epoxy resin and copper alloy lead-frame with silver layer was increased to 5.86 MPa with increasing the surface roughness of silver layer up to 1.69 μm. Copper alloy lead-frame with silver layer, which has the surface roughness more than 1.15 μm, showed a conventional level of die bonding and wire bonding properties.

シアーセル法は、融液の拡散係数を高精度に測定するための新たな測定法のひとつである。シアーセル法を用いた場合の測定誤差は、主に液体試料を接合するときの流動により生じることが明らかにされている。試料温度1,600KにおいてAg-Auの拡散係数について拡散時間を変えながら測定し、測定誤差を定量的に評価した。, Shear cell method is one of the advanced experimental techniques to measure diffusion coefficients in liquids. シアーセル法は、融液の拡散係数を測定するためのもっとも優れた方法の1つである。我々は、シアーセル法を用いてより高精度な融液の拡散係数を獲得するため、本方法に潜在する誤差要因の特定とその対策を検討した。特に拡散係数の測定値に対する拡散対接合時の対流(シアー対流)の影響を明らかにするため、実験温度1,300Kおよび1,500Kにおいて拡散時間をパラメータにとりモデル試料としてAuAg合金を採用して拡散実験を行った。溶融Ag中のAuの拡散係数の拡散保持時間依存性から拡散保持時間を3時間以上とすることでシアー対流の影響を排除することが可能であることが判明した。, Shear cell method is one of the advanced experimental techniques to measure diffusion coefficients in liquids. A fern Athyrium yokoscense grows gregariously at a district near the mine at Tada-Ginzan in Hyo¯go Prefecture, where a now closed mining town was developed from ancient times. Being one of the indicator plants, this fern has tolerance to the heavy metals, such as lead, copper etc. A vein of ores containing copper and silver runs at the district. The metals in A. yokoscense were analyzed with the methods of atomic absorption spectrometry and X-ray fluorescence spectrometry. As was expected from the plant character, many heavy metals, mainly copper and iron, which are components of ores in the soil were detected. Silver was concomitantly determined at the ppm level in the fern. Silver which is not an essential heavy metal in plants was found in A. yokoscense but it was not detected in the fern Dicranopteris linearis growing at the same site. Athyrium yokoscense is characteris-tic as an indicator plant with a capability to accumulate heavy metals including silver.

オゾンの性質や取扱上の注意点、歴史的な応用例について概説し、高濃度オゾンガスの金属、酸化物セラミックス、半導体等への最近の応用例について述べた。オゾンの熱力学データからオゾンのもつ酸素換算の極めて高い酸化力を定量化し、高温でのオゾン分解速度と材料内部での酸素拡散速度の兼ね合いによって材料表面に過酸化物を形成する可能性があることを示した。例えば純酸素中では生じることのないAgOがオゾンガスによって形成可能であるが、Ag2O3は生成しない。誘電体酸化タンタル皮膜形成や過酸化クロムによる酸化防止皮膜生成、薄膜の酸化処理例としてSiや超伝導酸化物等の機能性酸化物膜の生成、等の応用を例示した。, Properties of gaseous ozone are reviewed with its handling notes and historical applications, and some recent applications to the metals, oxide ceramics and semiconductors are introduced. Oxidation ability of ozone can be quantified from thermodynamics, and the decomposition rate at high temperatures and oxygen diffusion in the materials delays the peroxides formation by ozone. For example, AgO that can not be formed in pure oxygen could be formed in ozone gas, but Ag2O3 is not synthesized even in ozone. Some examples of ozone application are shown in Ta capacitors, oxidation resistant film by Cr peroxides, the thin oxide film on Si, and the oxidation for the functional oxides such as superconductors.

Various kinds of metals were exposed for half a year at three places in the Chugoku District in order to study corrosion on the surface of metals coused by atmospheric pollution. One place is at the Taisho traffic intersection of intense traffic density, in Kaita Town, Hiroshima Prefectuer, named "Place A". The second place is at our university, surrounded by green fields, trees and forests, named "Place B". The remainig one, near the Sea of Japan, in Yonago City, Tottori Prefecture, named "Place C". The surface corrosion of copper, silver, and zinc specimens were observed by optical microscope, and on the surface of the elements detected by Scanning Electron Microscope with Energy Disppersive of X-ray. Silicon and aluminum were detected on the surface of the specimens at the "Place A" while sulfur and silicon were detected on the surface of the specimens at the "Place B". Chlorine element, silicon and aluminum were detected on the surface of the specimens at the "Place C", although the quantity of Cl element is much more than at the "Place A". The surface corrosion on the metals by atmospheric pollution is discussed in detail., ３種類の金属を大気中で暴露して，大気による表面腐食の研究を行った。暴露を行なった場所は，大気汚染が激しいと予想されるＡ地点（広島県安芸郡海田町大正交差点），大気汚染が比較的少ないと予想できるＢ地点（広島県広島市安芸区中野）及び大陸からの大気汚染物質の越境汚染と日本海からの塩害が発生していると予測されるＣ地点（鳥取県米子市博労町）である。この３地点で６ヶ月間暴露した場合のCu（4N）とAg（4N）とZn（4N＋）を光学顕微鏡で表面を観察し，エネルギー分散型X線分析装置付走査電子顕微鏡で表面に付着した元素を分析した。その結果はＡ地点ではSiとAlが，Ｂ地点ではS元素とSiが，Ｃ地点ではSi，Cl元素とAlが顕著にあらわれた。本研究は，大気による金属の表面腐食への影響を詳細に考察した。

We have found the enhancement of the positive temperature dependency for surface tension of dilute aqueous solution of n-butanol by coexisting aqueous suspensions of Au and Ag nanoparticles (nanofluids). Au nanoparticles were prepared by reduction of HAuCl4 with sodium borohydride (NaBH4), while Ag nanoparticles were prepared by reduction of AgNO3 with Ethylene glycol heating with microwave energy. We measured the nanoparticle size distribution, surface tension and visible spectra at various temperatures. Nanofluids with several times larger positive surface-tension gradient with temperature can be developed by adding small amount of higher alcohols into prepared suspensions of the gold nanoparticles. 塗銀抗菌性カテーテルの長期留置における安全性を4週間以上留置可能な8例で検討し, カテーテル表面の付着物を走査型電子顕微鏡で観察した.尿路感染を有する5例で, カテーテル表面の付着物をシリコンカテーテルと比較検討した. 1)全例において塗銀抗菌性カテーテルの長期留置が可能であり, 長期留置に起因する弊害を認めなかった. 2)比較可能であった4例において, 細菌の付着はシリコンカテーテルの全例に認められたが, 塗銀抗菌性カテーテルでは認めなかった. 3)結晶の形成は両者は同程度であったが, 全てのカテーテルの通過性は良好であった, In order to determine the bacterial and crystal adherence to long-term indwelling urethral catheters, we performed a scanning electron microscopic study utilizing commercially available silver-protein-coated latex (Urotopic Ag Protein) and silicone urethral catheters that were left in place for over 4 weeks. Microorganisms and crystals frequently were associated with fibrillar materials. On the surface of silicone catheters bacteria often were embedded in the amorphous matrix. In contrast we found no bacteria adhering to the antimicrobial urethral catheter surface coated with silver-protein. Crystal formation was similar in both catheters, but no catheteral obstruction was observed in this study. We suggested that antimicrobial urethral catheter coated with silver-protein is applicable to patients who tend to form encrustations on long-term indwelling catheters.

Optical trapping of metal particles were demonstrated using a Nd : YAG laser beam. For both a Gaussian and a doughnut mode laser beams, two-dimensional trappings were achieved. Based on ray optics, results experimentally observed were qualitatively explained.

スペースシャトル内の微小重力の下で、圧力を変えながらArまたはXeガス雰囲気中でのAg金属の蒸発実験(ガス蒸発)を行った。蒸発源の周辺には、対流環境下では得られない球形の煙粒子が成長した。Xeガスの場合、最高圧力(100Torr)において煙粒子の境界面に不安定性が現われ、煙の流れがいろいろな方向に噴出した。この現象を説明するため、ガス雰囲気中での材料蒸発の分子過程モデルを提案した。, Ag metals are evaporated in Ar or Xe gas atmosphere (gas evaporation) with various pressure under low gravity of space shuttle. Round shape of smoke of particles are grown around the evaporation source instead of convective ones. For Xe gas of the highest pressure (100 Torr), the instability is appeared in the boundary surface of the smoke ball and streams of smokes are gush out to the various directions.
