半側視空間無視(USN)は,右大脳半球損傷に高頻度に出現する高次脳機能障害である。そこで今回,USNを伴う右大脳半球損傷患者24例にBehavioural inattention test (BIT)と従来の机上検査(線分二等分検査,線分抹消検査,模写検査)および日常生活動作の評価であるFunctional Independence Measure (FIM)を実施し,日常の臨床における効率的な評価方法の検討を行った。その結果,BITが重度なほど机上検査も低下していたことから,BITと机上検査は相関することが示唆された。またBITとFIMは有意な相関を示し,さらに机上検査(線分抹消検査,模写検査)が重度なほどFIMも低下しており机上検査とFIMも相関することが示唆された。しかしBIT実施は高齢者および時間に余裕のない臨床では,身体的・精神的・時間的負担が大きい。よって効率的にUSNを評価するには,一次検査として机上検査を実施し,より詳細な検討が必要な場合に二次検査としてBITを用いることで評価の信頼性が向上すると思われる。, Unilateral spatial neglect (USN) is a higher brain dysfunction that frequently occurs due to right-hemisphere stroke. 近年の大学（高等教育）支援政策は競争的かつ特定事業支援型である。すなわち、国が大枠的な目的や方向性を確定した上で各大学がその具体策を競い合うものとなっている。その一方で、このような政策の背後には「全学的教育改革」という含意を見て取ることができる。これは、「学位の質保証」や「高等教育の実質化」などの観点から体系的なカリキュラムの構築や学習成果の可視化という文脈と軌を一にするものである。本稿の目的は、①特定の事業を支援する政策の成果として、（当該特定事業ではなく）全学的教育改革にどのような成果があったのか、②成果があった大学の共通点は何か、③充分な成果が挙げられなかったのならば問題点はどこにあったのか、を解明することにある。これを検証するため、本稿ではCOC ／ COC+ に採択された国立大学の動向に着目する。当該大学において、上記の隠された政策意図がどのように実現したのか、それぞれの大学がウェブサイトや報告書等を通じて発信する情報、及びCOC ／ COC+ 事業の外部評価結果などを分析し、上記の目的を達成する。その結果、問いに対して以下のような結論を得た。すなわち、①多くの大学で一定の成果があり、特に成果の大きな大学においては全学のカリキュラム改革や教育資源の再配分などの成果があった、②成果のあった大学では全学的な意思決定や合意形成がなされていると見られるという共通点があった。そして③成果の乏しかった大学においては全学的な意思決定や合意形成が脆弱であり、全学的なカリキュラム改革も教育資源の再配分も遅れ気味であることが推察された。, Today in Japan, there are many policies in place to support specific projects at universities. However, those policies intend not only supporting specific projects, but also triggering university-wide educational reform.The purpose of this paper is, (1) what kind of results were achieved in the university-wide education reform as a result of such policies, (2) what are the common points of the universities that achieved the results, (3) if the results are not sufficient, it is necessary to clarify where the problems were.To verify them, this paper focuses on the trends of national universities adopted for COC/COC+ projects. To reach the goal of this paper, analyzing how such hidden policy-intentions were realized or not realized at those universities.As a result, the following conclusions were reached. Those are; (1) Many universities have achieved certain results, such as university-wide curriculum reforms and reallocation of educational resources throughout the university. (2) At the universities with good results, university-wide decision-making and consensus building have been well-made. (3) At universities with poor results, it was speculated that university-wide decision-making and consensus building were vulnerable, and that university-wide curriculum reforms and redistribution of educational resources seemed to be delayed.

Local governments may respond in ways that differ from national policies. Since local government officials have a great deal of discretion in the administration of public assistance, inconsistencies in the interpretation of the system with the national and prefectural governments often occur. In this paper, we focus on Beppu municipal government's on-site investigation of amusement facilities as an example of a local government conducting administrative activities that differ from the national government's view. Beppu City in Oita Prefecture has been conducting on-site investigations of pachinko and bicycle racing facilities for welfare recipients. However, the government pointed out that this administrative activity was inappropriate. As a result, the municipal government was forced to change its existing policy. Before the decentralization reform, the national government controlled the system to adjust the inconsistency of system interpretation between national and local governments. However, after the decentralization reform, it is said that the national government no longer has direct control over local governments due to the abolition of the institutional delegated administration system and notification administration, and the relationship between the national government and local governments has also changed. So how do reconcile any inconsistencies that arise in the interpretation of the system between local and national governments? This paper examines how the national government, prefectures, and municipalities have come to reconcile the inconsistencies in their interpretations of the system since the decentralization reform, and what problems have arisen. Before the decentralization reform, the national government coordinated the interpretation of the system through control. However, even though the relationship between the national government, prefectures, and municipalities has recently changed to one of equality and cooperation, the prefectures and municipalities are still trying to achieve consistency by conforming to the national government's interpretation of the system. The case of Beppu reveals that local governments have a dilemma not only with the national government but also with local residents due to the existence of a form of control by the national government after the decentralization reform.地方自治体は国の方針と異なる対応をすることがある。生活保護行政においては地方自治体職員の裁量が大きいことから，国や県との間で制度解釈に不整合が生じることが多い。本稿では，国の見解と異なる行政活動を地方自治体が実施した事例として，別府市の遊技場立入調査に着目する。 大分県別府市では生活保護受給者に対して，パチンコや競輪場といった遊技場立入調査を行っていた。しかし，この行政活動が不適切であると，国から指摘があった。そのため，別府市は従来の方針の変更を迫られることになった。 地方分権改革以前は国がコントロールすることによって，国と自治体間で生じる制度解釈の不整合を調整していた。しかし，地方分権改革後は，機関委任事務制度や通達行政の廃止によって，国から自治体への直接的なコントロールはできなくなったとされており，国と自治体の関係性も変化したとされている。では，地方自治体と国との間で制度解釈に不整合が生じた場合，どのように調整するのだろうか。 本稿では以上の問題関心から，地方分権改革以後の制度の解釈をめぐって，国と県及び市町村が制度解釈の不整合をどのように調整するようになったのか，そこには，どのような問題が孕まれているのかを検討する。地方分権改革以前は，国がコントロールにより制度解釈の調整を行った。しかし，国と県及び市町村の関係性が対等・協力関係に変化したとされている昨今においても，国の制度解釈に県と市が合わせることで整合性を図っている。本稿で取り上げる別府市の事例から，地方分権改革以後の国による形を変えたコントロールが存在することにより，地方自治体は国だけではなく，地域住民との間にもジレンマを有することを明らかにする。

本論文では、非同期型COIL（Collaborative Online International Learning）の実施事例から、その可能性について考察する。非同期型の遠隔授業は、同期型授業や対面授業にはない特徴や利点があるものの、日本において積極的に論じられるようになったのはごく最近のことである。これには、COVID-19の感染拡大による遠隔授業への移行という不可抗力の事態において、できるだけ「リアル」に近いコミュニケーションを求める力が働いたことが一因としてあげられる。さらに、その背景には、オンライン上のコミュニケーションが希薄な人間関係を生むというネガティブな評価が存在する。本稿では、文字でのやり取りを主とする非同期型COIL の事例から、このような「非同期型の忌避」を乗り越え、そのポジティブな側面に焦点を当てる。そこで、鹿児島大学とタイのブーラパー大学との間で行った非同期型COIL 授業において見られた学生間の交流の実例を紹介する。その上で、対面式のコミュニケーションこそが真正で人間的なものであるという前提を問い直し、内容本意の異文化コミュニケーションを授業内で実践する教育ツールとして、非同期型COIL 授業が持つ特徴を示していく。 This paper discusses the potential of asynchronous COIL (Collaborative Online International Learning). Although asynchronous remote learning in general has some advantages and features that are not found in synchronous remote learning or in-person classes, it has been underestimated and only recently been actively promoted in Japan. One of the reasons for this is that in the situation of an unavoidable shift to remote learning due to COVID-19 outbreaks, there has been a strong desire for communication to be as close to“ real” as possible. In addition, in the context of Japan, online communication has long been negatively evaluated and accused as a cause of weakening human relationships. This paper attempts to overcome such tendency of avoiding the asynchronous online communication and focuses on its positive aspects. To address this concern, this paper provides an actual example of student interaction observed in an asynchronous COIL class conducted between Kagoshima University in Japan and Burapha University in Thailand. It will then question the assumption that in-person communication is more authentic and humanistic, and show the characteristics of asynchronous COIL classes as an educational tool for practicing content-oriented cross-cultural communication in the classroom.

The purpose of this paper is to make it clear how residents made claims (claims-making activities) through the social movement against building oil bases, which started in 1973 and made the plan withdrawn in 1984 in Uken-village, Amami Islands, Kagoshima Prefecture, focusing on the development of the network of the movement.Japan saw the rapid economic growth in 1950’s onward, and in the late 1960’s, large-scale oil bases started to be built and operated in order to supply the country with petroleum stably. With pollution emerging as a social problem in 1970’s, social movements both against and for the development spread.In Uken-village, there were confrontations around the construction of the oil bases in various layers: inside the village versus outside the village, and a settlement versus another settlement Furthermore, conflicts inside a settlement and even inside a family were caused. The anti-oil-bases movement spread not only inside the island but also to the point that those who had migrated to the mainland of Japan or foreign countries joined.This paper will give a clear picture on what kind of discourses were employed and how the networked movement spread and developed based on literature and data collected by semi-structured interview using the perspective of social constructionist approach.

This paper focuses on the relationship among words, voices, and music as the key to reading Hawthorne's work; it considers the linguistic meaning and voices of the characters, as well as the musical voices.It clarifies the phenomenon caused by the combination and balance of those factors, and rereads from a new angle the problems of crime and romance, which are themes specific to Hawthorne.Hawthorne’s typical romance is The Scarlet Letter. However, this paper takes up “The Birth-mark,” “The Celestial Railroad,” “The Artist of the Beautiful,” “Rappaccini’s Daughter : From the Writings of Aubépine,” the four works that were published before The Scarlet Letter, and explores the connection of the four works with The Scarlet Letter.In these short stories, you can see the romantic elements and the expression of musical voices that try to create the truth of the human heart as an art work written by Hawthorne. It can be seen that Hawthorne had been trying various combinations of word meanings and voices since the time of his writing short stories., 本論は，ホーソーンの作品を読み解く鍵として，言葉と声，音楽の関係に着目し，登場人物の言葉の言語的な意味作用とそれを支える声との関係や均衡，さらに音楽的な声について考察する。その組み合わせやバランスにより惹き起こされる現象を明らかにし，ホーソーン特有のテーマである罪やロマンスの問題を新たな角度から読み直すものである。ホーソーンの代表的なロマンスに1850年発表の『緋文字』がある。それより前の1846年に刊行された短編集『旧牧師館の苔』に所収されている「あざ」，「天国行き鉄道 」，「美の芸術家」，「ラパチーニの娘―オベピーヌ氏の著作から―」の4 作品を取り上げ，『緋文字』とのつながりを検証する。短編にもホーソーンが，芸術作品として人間の心の真実を創り出そうとしたロマンス的要素や，音楽的な声の表現もみることができる。取り上げた作品の登場人物の顕著な特徴として，言葉が，思想や性格と深く関わり体や心の特徴を表現していた。しかしながら，言葉の意味と音楽的な声をバランスよく活かす人物は描かれておらず，その不完全さゆえに日常性を超えた深い人間のドラマが創出されている。登場人物たちのバランスのとれない言葉と声は，「罪」をもつ人間の「逸脱への戒め」と関わっており，言葉の言語的意味作用と音楽的で美しい声が融合できないことが，「罪や逸脱の戒め」を物語化する条件として重要視されたと考えられるだろう。ホーソーンは短編執筆の頃から，たゆまず様々なパターンの言葉の意味と声の組み合わせを物語の中で試みていたことがわかる。作家であるホーソーンは，声による言葉と文字の関係の可能性を探し続けたのであろう。

大学の学部段階（学士課程）において、学位プログラムや学部横断型プログラムなど、新しい試みが始まっている。これは、ディシプリン（学問領域）に即して構築された学部・学科等に準拠する旧来の学士課程とは大きく異なるものである。だが、そのような取り組みの実効性については充分な検証がなされているとは言い難い。そこで本稿では、学部・学科におけるカリキュラムの標準的な履修モデルにおける学びを「縦の学び」、学部・学科を越えた領域横断的な（あるいはディシプリン横断型の）学びを「横の学び」と定義し、「『縦の学び』と『横の学び』には相乗効果が期待できるのではないか」との問いを立て、その検証を試みる。具体的には、2017年度より鹿児島大学が設置した「地域人材育成プラットフォーム」に着目する。これは同大学において地域人材を育成するために学部を横断して学びを展開する枠組みである。これに携わる学生は、それぞれの学部・学科等に所属しつつ、様々な地域の学びをも経験する。このような学生が、地域の学びとして得るものがあるのは勿論のこと、その地域の学びが自身の学部・学科等での学びに対してどのように影響するのか調査する。すなわち、これは学部横断型教育プログラムの意義を探ることのみを目的とするものではなく、むしろそのような学部横断型の学び（延いてはディシプリンを越えた学び）が、学士課程そのものにどう影響するのか、どのような意味があるのか、それを検証することが目的である。, A lot of Japanese universities have begun the new attempts such as degree-oriented programs and inter-disciplinary minor programs. They are very different from the traditional bachelor's degree programs complied with the faculties and departments established by the disciplines.However, it is hard to say that the effects and results of those programs have been fully verified. Therefore, in this paper, we call the discipline-based learning in the standard courses according to the traditional faculty or department as “vertical learning”, and inter-disciplinary learning such as community-based learning beyond the faculty or department as “horizontal learning”. Then, the research question of this paper is following; Is it possible to expect synergy between“ vertical learning” and“ horizontal learning”?Specifically, we focused on the undergraduate inter-disciplinary education programs for regional talents as bachelors at Kagoshima University since 2017. The students participating in the programs experience not only “vertical learning” but also “horizontal learning”. We have investigated how these students can gain“ vertical learning” under the influence of“ horizontal learning”.In other words, this is not just about exploring the significance of inter-disciplinary education programs, but rather how such inter-disciplinary learning (and learning beyond discipline) affects the traditional bachelor's programs. The purpose of this paper is to clarify the questions by verifying the synergy between“ vertical learning” and“ horizontal learning”.

本稿は，大学教養課程の英語クラスでの質問を手掛かりに，英語形容詞の語構成に係る否定とそれに類する意味を担う接頭辞un-, in（il-, im-, ir-）のふるまいについて，語彙の歴史性を考慮しながら考察し，日常生活に係る語彙と学術語彙を念頭に，若干の整理を試みるものである。クラスでの質問とは，次のようなものであった。英語形容詞legal とregular は，語頭の音価との関係により，それらの反意語は，illegal とirregular となる。しかしながら，それらと同様の見方をlicensed とresident に当てはめて，＊ illicensed と＊ irresident となるかと思いきや，そうはならない。実態は，文脈，場面，状況にもよるが，licensed とresident の反義語は，一般的に，unlicensedとnon-resident という形が，安定した表現である。一体，接辞の運用規則はどのようになっているのか，という趣旨の問いである。これについて，絶対的な運用の規則は立てられないものの，il-, ir-, （加えてim-）という否定の意味に係る接辞は，否定接辞in- と当該形容詞の語頭の音価との同化作用によって生じた異形態（allomorphs）であるという点を踏まえ，licensed は，その歴史的経緯の中で，in- との結びつきよりも，un- との結びつきを求めたとといえる。接辞や語の基体の歴史的起源をみると，in-（il-, im-,ir-）はラテン語由来であり，un- は，ゲルマン系の英語由来の接辞である。一方，license は動詞にしろ，名詞にしろ，フランス語に起因する。であれば，in- とlicensed の結びつきは，妨げるものがないように思われるが，実際はそうではなかった。出所に係る歴史的由来による結合性よりも，un- が，とりわけ過去分詞形容詞と結びつく傾向の強さと，un- の有する高い造語力がin- の歴史的由来性に優った，と解釈できると思われる。他方，resident に係る否定の語彙については，歴史的にはnon-resident の出現（16c）のあと，一時期，♰unresident が生まれたが（16c; 初出例1574年），♰unresident は，17世紀以降，廃語となり，non-resident に集約した。意味の面からみると，ある（特定の）場所に人がいるか，いないか，を問題とするため，通常，その間の意味，すなわち，いる，と，いない，の間については注意が向けられることはほとんどない。このことからもresident の否定の接辞として，意味の中間段階のない，二項対立的な意味構造に適するnon- が求められることは頷ける。なお，関連する考察の段階で，否定接辞un-, in-, non- の他に，ラテン・フランス系の接辞dis- とギリシャ語由来のa- の振る舞いにも言及した。, This paper is mainly concerned with English negative prefixes such as "a-, dis-, in-, non-, un-" and their behavior in word-formation. The variety of prefixes may appear to be similar because different prefixes can come from different languages such as Latin and Greek. In- and its allomorphs (different forms of the same morpheme) il-/im-/ir, for instance, come from Latin (e.g. illogical, immoral, irrational). Non- stems from old French and Latin, a- from Greek (e.g. asymmetry, atypical), dis- from Latin, and un- from a native English prefix and the most productive one in English today (e.g. unhappy, unaccustomed). Adjectives, nouns, adverbs, and verbs can take some of these prefixes to make them negative, but in this paper, adjectives and those produced from deverbal participial forms are focused, among other things. A student in the class has made a question: why licensed takes un- as its negative form rather than il- (i.e. an allomorph of in-): unlicensed vs.＊illicensed. Similarly, an explanation of why we can say "nonresident owners of the houses "rather than" ♰unresident or ＊ irresident owners of the houses" is provided. The attempt is to challenge these two questions in terms of historical nature related to the negative prefixes and their relative productivity inherent in them. Unfortunately, determining which prefixes to use with which stem is not always predictable. Moreover, the rules on which negative prefix to use when more than one is possible are not absolute. However, we can consider and guess the subtle behavior of prefixes and their meanings in terms of their historical backgrounds in nature and semantic contrast in context.

高等教育において、地域資源や地域課題を教材として活用する動きが拡大している。そうした動きは、研究レベルでは1970年代ごろから、特に教員養成に関連する形で行われてきた。つまり、初等教育や中等教育において地域に関する教材を用いた教育活動が行われることを想定して、教員養成課程においても実践研究が行われていたといえる。これに対し、2010年代以降拡大したのは、高等教育における人材育成の一環として地域活用教育を実施し、その中で地域資源や地域課題を教材として用いるというものである。こうした動きは、元来地域との関係が強い公立大学や私立大学においてまず見られるようになり、国立大学はそれに続く形となっている。こうした中、地域資源・地域課題を教材として用いることと高等教育として保証すべき単位の質保証に課題が生じている。なぜなら、地域に関わる教材はそのままでは単なる素材あるいは話題に過ぎないため、高等教育にふさわしい教育の質や学習成果を担保するには、それを可能にする仕組みや教育方法が必要となるためである。本稿では以上の課題意識に基づき、特に国立大学における地域活用教育に関する全学必修科目に着目し、その実態を明らかにした。その上で、地域教材を全学必修科目において用いる際の課題を指摘した。本稿の結論としては、地域活用教育の一環として位置づけられる全学必修科目の到達目標は、学位の質保証及び単位の質保証という観点から、能力育成に限定される必要がある。シラバス及び地域教材の共通化は必ずしも必要不可欠ではない。しかし、到達目標及び評価基準の共通化は必須といえる。大学教育において地域資源・地域課題を扱うことそのものに問題があるわけではない。しかし、高等教育にふさわしい水準の教育を実現するには、それにふさわしい用い方がある点に留意しなければならない。特に地域教材に関しては、あくまで能力育成のための素材としての活用することが必要である。, There are issues with the use of local resources and issues as teaching materials and the quality assurance of credits that should be guaranteed as higher education. However, it can be said that it is essential to standardize the achievement goals and evaluation criteria.There is no problem in dealing with local resources and issues in university education. However, it should be noted that in order to achieve a level of education suitable for higher education, there is a suitable usage. It is necessary to utilize regional teaching materials as materials for capacity development.

In many remote islands of Japan, it is difficult to maintain the local economy and society due to the declining population and aging population. Under these circumstances, the national government and local governments promote migration and create an environment where foreigners can play an active role. This paper aims to explain the current situation regarding foreign workers and show the future perspectives in which foreigners and Japanese islanders can come up with positive co-creation for the development of local society and economy. This study takes Okinoerabu Island in Kagoshima Prefecture as an example. It concludes that Vietnamese trainees need more communication with islanders, and the local Filipinos are contributing a lot to the local economy and some are engaged in diaspora businesses.

Trees, flowers, and grasses growing in schoolyards are the most familiar plants to school children. If they can be used in science education and environmental education, they may have a high educational effect. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to compile a list of vascular plants that grow in schoolyards as basic data for use as teaching materials in science and environmental education. In this paper, we report on the list of vascular plants in the schoolyard of an elementary school attached to the Faculty of Education, Kagoshima University. A total of 266 species of vascular plants were identified in the schoolyard of the elementary school during two surveys in spring and fall seasons. Of these, a total of 155 were native species, 91 of which were growing naturally. Alien plant species totaled 36, of which 27 grew in the wild. The total number of cultivated species was 74. It was clear that there are many native species in the schoolyard of the Elementary School attached to the Faculty of Education. In addition, many of the trees planted in the schoolyard were native trees that compose evergreen broad-leaved forest in Japan. Endangered species were also identified. Therefore, plants in schoolyard are a high potential for the teaching material to be used for learning about the familiar plants of Kagoshima Prefecture.

いわゆる同格構造の典型的な形式は、意味上の同一性・類似性のもとで同格をなす言語要素A,B を並置するものである（cf. Crystal 2008: 31）。すなわち一般的には、＜ A, B ＞という形式で示せるが、それに類する多岐にわたる言語事象に対して、現代英語のいわゆる同格という概念は、文法家の間でも統一見解が定まっていないことが指摘されている（cf. Quirk et al.1972: 621）。そうしたなかで、本稿は、非典型的な同格構造を扱い、「同格性」という概念のもとで、学術英語に係る大学英語入門教材にみられる具体的な非典型的同格表現を考察する。その同格構造の特徴は、同格構造＜ A, B ＞のA に相当する要素が節（つまり文）を形成しており、同格の第2 要素に相当するB の主名詞が、制限的関係節によって修飾されている同格構造であるという点である（e.g. Female smoking rates in these countries have been low historically, a fact that marketers want to change with ads that imply that smoking communicates equality, fitness, and trendiness（ Huntley & Shidara 2006: 50））。 上記例示の文中で、文頭からカンマまでの節がA に相当し、カンマ以後のB に相当する最初が主名詞a fact であり、それを関係詞that 以下の制限的関係節が修飾する構造となっている。この考察を行う上で、同格構造の性質を意味的、統語的観点から段階的に程度差を設けて把握しようとする知見（Meyer 2011）を援用する。そうすることにより便宜上、数値化を図り、同格構造の典型性を把握する目安を得ることができる。さらに、問題となる同格構造の類例も考察対象に据える。このような同格構造のふるまいに関する考察は、英語教育や学習にも資するものと思われる。 A prototypical English appositive structure“ A, B” is widely known as a useful expression for conveying identical meaning in reference between the two linguistic units A and B, such as“ Taro, my best friend, came here yesterday.” However, many other peripheral types of apposition are in academic prose, the press and literary works. Attempts have been made in this paper to understand better somewhat complicated linguistic behavior of apposition, which corresponds to a kind of peripheral and non-typical appositive found in academic prose in English education classrooms, such as “…Female smoking rates in these countries have been low historically, a fact that marketers want to change with ads that imply that smoking communicates equality, fitness, and trendiness. …” (Huntley & Shidara 2006: 50). The actual example above shows us that the first unit of the appositive structure is a clause (i.e., a sentence) and that the second unit is a noun phrase, whose central words are a fact, modified by a relative clause. To capture the behavior of such a less central type of apposition, we use the idea of Meyer (2011: 130-133), which categorizes general English appositives in terms of gradience using three semantic categories (or degrees of identity/inclusion in appositives) and three syntactic criteria (or degrees of independence). The idea of gradience helps us better understand the degrees of complicatedness in appositive structures. In conclusion, language learning may be enhanced when considering these aspects of English appositive structures. Further investigation should aim to test the application to English language learning and education.

This paper focuses on the dramatic effects of the political conflicts in The Tempest and how they are related to the reconciliation in the last part of the play. This play exhibits the audience several conflicts, not only on the stage, but also through the words and phrases of the characters. The audience realizes that there are some political conflicts backstage and that these conflicts surround the scene of reconciliation rather than lead to it. This paper clarifies that the reconciliation in this play possesses both alleviating and aggravating factors that cause another political conflict. The repetition of this cycle produces a disturbing atmosphere and has an effect of raising questions about the prospects of their own country among the English audience at that time. This also means that the dramatic effects of the conflicts in this play should be interpreted from a historical point of view.

This paper, focus on the analysis of the Chinese movement around the implementation of the Japanese Emperor's visit to China before the previous night of this visit, to explore the relationship between the process of Japanese Emperor’s visit and the changes in Sino-Japanese relations.On the occasion of his visit to Japan in 1978, Deng Xiaoping first proposed the Japanese Emperor's visit to China. Taking this as an opportunity, the issue of Japanese Emperor’s visit to China was officially put on the agenda of Sino-Japanese diplomacy. Since then, after 14 years of negotiations between China and Japan, the visit was finally realized in 1992.Japanese Emperor’s visit to China is closely related to historical issues, which are a matter of principle in dealing with Sino-Japanese relations. In addition, the implementation of Japanese Emperor's visit to China is also a process of Japan and China making adjustments and negotiating about their own strategic interests. Exploring the solution to the long-standing unsettled case between China and Japan can provide an important clue for understanding the inside information of changes in Sino-Japanese relations after 1972.Based on the above points, this paper will examine the implementation of Japanese Emperor's visit to China based on the connection of the issue of Japanese Emperor's visit to China with other diplomatic issues between Japan and China (Historical issues, ODA issues, etc.) and China's domestic politics. The analysis will be conducted in three periods:The first period is from 1970s to late 1980s, which focuses on China's attitude toward the Emperor Showa's overseas visits, the background of China's invitation for Emperor Showa, and the whole plan of the Crown Prince’s visit to China. The second period is from the death of Emperor Showa in January 1989 to the former Chinese Premier Li Peng’s visit in Japan in April. This part mainly deals with the impact of Japanese Emperor’s substitution on the issue of Japanese Emperor's visit to china. The third period is from the outbreak of the Tiananmen Incident in June 1989 to the enthronement ceremony of Emperor Akihito in November 1990, in which the impact of these two events is analyzed on the Japanese Emperor's visit to China.To conclude, the paper aims achieve three goals. Third, the turning point is confirmed in the realization of the Japanese Emperor's visit to China., 本稿の目的は，天皇訪中問題をめぐる日中関係について，中国の動向を中心に分析し，同問題が日中関係の変化とどのように関連していたかを明らかにすることにある。1978年の鄧小平訪日の際の天皇への訪中招請をきっかけとして，天皇訪中問題は日中外交の舞台に登場した。その後，十四年間にわたり，度重なる交渉を経て，1992年に天皇訪中がようやく実現した。戦後の日中関係の重要な問題の一つが，かつての戦争を中心とする歴史問題である。天皇訪中問題は，この歴史問題と結びついた象徴的な問題であった。また，訪中実現に至るまで，天皇訪中をめぐる日中双方の戦略的利益と結びついた調整のプロセスでもあった。さらに，同問題も日中間の長年の懸案であり，国交正常化以降の日中関係の変化の内実を知る上でも重要な案件であった。これらのことに注目して，本稿では天皇訪中問題を日中間の他の外交的課題（歴史問題やODA問題など）との関連，中国国内の政治との関連に着目し，同問題の歴史的な経緯を明らかにする。具体的には，以下の三つの時期に沿って分析を行う。第1の時期は，70年代から80年代後半までで，昭和天皇の海外訪問，中国による天皇訪中招請の打診，そして皇太子の訪中計画を中心に分析する。第2の時期は，1989年1月の昭和天皇の死去から4月の李鵬訪日までで，天皇の代替わりが天皇訪中問題に対して与えた影響を分析する。第3の時期は，天安門事件の勃発から「即位の礼」までで，この二つの出来事が天皇訪中にどういった影響を与えたのかについて分析する。これらの分析によって，第1に，天皇訪中実現までのプロセス，第2に，天皇訪中における阻害要因とその中での天皇の戦争責任問題がもった意味，そして第3に，天皇訪中を実現に向かわせた転換点を明らかにする。

Haruki Murakami is a well-known Japanese writer who has consistently used the first person, boku, in his most novels and stories. Lexington Ghosts taken up in this paper is also a work which is narrated primarily in the boku first person. This thesis compares the two versions of Lexington Ghosts, namely the short version (group version) and the long version (paperback version). This paper attempts to identify this novel in Murakami's work history from the point of view of the first person, boku, who appears in the novel and the person function perspective,.The emphasis of this novel is focused on the father-son relationship in the paperback version. Unlike Tony Takitani, which was published at the same time, Lexington Ghosts is a novel which is narrated neither from a simple first person viewpoint nor the third person viewpoint. The narrator, boku, cleverly switches the position between the first person viewpoint and the third person point of view according to the scenes, which depicts a more complicated father-son relationship.In addition, the uses of the first person “I” in Lexington Ghosts is different from the uses of boku that have appeared in Murakami’s other works. Through such person expression, this work mixes the first person, boku, and Casey’s view point together which affects the existence of the first person “I”. As a writer, Haruki Murakami makes this novel present a self-explanatory structure by using both the father’s and son’s perspectives. Furthermore, after Lexington Ghosts, Murakami has further embodied the author's continuous trial and error in person expression in other works, such as All the children of God dance, Sputnik's lover, and so on. In short, Lexington Ghosts has shed light on the changes in person function which can be said to be a work of significance in Murakami's work history.村上春樹は一人称「僕」を一貫して使う作家であるとされる。本稿で取り上げる「レキシントンの幽霊」も主に一人称「僕」により語られている作品である。本稿は，「レキシントンの幽霊」のショート・バージョン（群像版）とロング・バージョン（単行本版）を比較しながら，作品中に登場した一人称「僕」のあり方や人称機能の点から，この作品の村上作品史における新たな位置づけを試みるものである。 単行本版では，加筆によって，物語の力点が父子関係へと変化したことが読み取れる。ほぼ同時期に発表された「トニー滝谷」とは異なり，「レキシントンの幽霊」は，単純な一人称視点や三人称視点とは異なり，語り手「僕」が場面に応じて，位置取りを変え，一人称視点と三人称視点が巧妙に切替ってゆくことによって，より複雑な父子関係を描く物語となっている。 また，「レキシントンの幽霊」に登場している「僕」という人称表現は，これまでの村上春樹作品に出てきた「僕」と異なる人称表現のあり方を示している。こうした人称表現によって，この作品は，ケイシーと「僕」との視点の交錯を通じて，語られざる「僕」自身の在り様が浮かび上がる物語であり，息子の立場にあるケイシーとその父親の双方を同時に見渡していく「小説家」である「僕」の自己言及の物語という構造であることを論じた。 そして，「レキシントンの幽霊」以降，「神の子どもたちはみな踊る」，「スプートニクの恋人」などの作品では，人称表現に関して試行錯誤をする作者の姿がより顕著に現れている。つまり，「レキシントンの幽霊」は， 村上作品史において，人称機能が変化する兆しが初めて明確にあらわれた作品と位置付けられ，その意味で，重要な意義を持つ作品と言えよう。

本稿は，南西諸島におけるさとうきびの輪作作物としての意義について考察を行った。論点は以下の3点である。第1は，さとうきびに輪作作物の意義があるとしても，その意義はどの程度あるのか，そしてそれは農家の所得確保などの経済的意義とどのような関係にあるのか，についてである。第2は，さとうきびの輪作作物としての意義はどのような条件において機能するか，である。第3は，輪作作物はさとうきびでなければならないのか（他の作物で代替できないのか）という点である。主な分析の対象は伊江島とした。明らかになったのは次の点である。園芸や畜産等の盛んな島では，さとうきびの面積は縮小し，それが連作される圃場は少なく，多くが数年に1度，輪作作物として栽培されていた。さとうきび作の位置付けが大きな島も含めて，以前から，さとうきびには輪作作物としての意義が多少なりともあったが，所得確保の意義が 低下すると，輪作作物としての意義が拡大することになる。また輪作作物は緑肥でも代替可能な場合もあるが，相対的に条件の悪い土地では緑肥による短期間の地力回復が難しく，さとうきびの輪作作物としての意義がより大きくなる。このように，作物の選択肢が限られる南西諸島では ，さとうきびの経済的な意義が低下すると，輪作作物としての意義が大きくなり，それは特に土地条件の悪い地域において顕著であった。This paper discusses the importance of sugarcane as a rotational crop in Nansei Islands. The following three issues are discussed. First, what extent is sugarcane significant as a rotation crop, and how is this related to its economic importance, such as income security for farmers? Second, what conditions is sugarcane important as a rotation crop? Third, is sugarcane the only crop that can be used in rotation (or can it be replaced by other crops)? The main analysis was carried out on Ie Island. The following points became clear. On the island, where horticulture and livestock farming are more prevalent, the area under sugarcane has been reduced, with sugarcane being planted every few years as a rotation crop. Sugarcane has always had some importance as a rotational crop, even on islands where it is the main crop. However, its importance as a rotational crop has increased as its importance for income security has decreased. In addition, while green manure crop can substitute for sugarcane in some cases, it is difficult to restore soil fertility in a short time with green manure crop on land with relatively poor land conditions, making sugarcane more critical as a rotation crop. Thus, in Nansei Islands, where crop choice is limited, as the economic importance of sugarcane decreases, its importance as a rotation crop increases, especially in areas with poor land conditions.

「TV ピープル」1は村上春樹の九〇年代の幕開け2を告げる短編集に収録された作品である。本作はテレビのセッティングにやってきたTV ピープルの出現や妻の唐突な家出，一人称表現と主観的な感覚表現によるリアリティに推測表現による不確定さが存在することによって，さまざまな解釈を誘うユニークな作品となっている。本稿は，一人称視点及び他者表現という問題に着目し，それによって作品の再評価を試みるものである。 一人称視点を出発点とした村上春樹は，自分の物語を語る「僕」という語り手を作り出した。語り手「僕」は世の中に対してあらわな疎外感情を抱く人間として造型されている。「TV ピープル」は一人称の「僕」が自分のことを語るだけでなく，他者との関係における自己を語ることを通じて，自己というものを捉えようとする姿勢が見られる物語である。 「TV ピープル」においては一人称による語りは一貫しており，一人称視点に限定された枠組みがきわめて意識的に構築されている。物語は語り手「僕」によって一方的に語られた世界でありながら，TV ピープルの出現によって，他者の言動や振る舞いに立脚して自分なりの解釈を行う「僕」の語りは絶対性を失っていく。即ち，完全な他者であるTV ピープルを導入した本作は，自己の不確かさを次第に強く感じるようになった「僕」により，その不確かな自己を凝視していく視点を孕んだ作品となるのである。 “TV people” is a collection of short stories in which the story of Haruki Murakami’s opening in the 1990s was announced. This work is based on the existence of indeterminacy of speculative expression in the reality of the appearance of TV people who comes to the setting of the TV, the sudden departure of his wife, the expressions first-person and the subjective feelings. It is a unique work that invites various interpretations. The characteristics of first-person perspective and the expression of others are the focuses of this paper, which triesto reevaluate the original work. Haruki Murakami, who started from the first-person viewpoint, produced a narrator called “I” telling his story. The narrator “I” is shaped as a person who has a lot of extravagant feelings toward the world. The “TV people” is a story in which the first-person “I” not only talks about himself but also tries to know who he is through telling the relationship with others. In “TV people” the first-person narration is consistent, The framework of the first-person perspective is consciously constructed. The story is a world told unilaterally by the narrator “I”, but with the appearance of the TV people, the narration of “I” who interprets the words and actions of others in his own way, loses its absoluteness which embodies a wider perspective of uncertainty. In other words, this work, which introduces the TV people is a work that embraces the viewpoint of the uncertain self-examining through “I” who gradually come to strongly suspect his identity.

2003年に国立大学法人法が成立し、国立大学法人制度がスタートした。この国立大学法人制度は、先行して制度化されていた独立行政法人を国立大学の設置者として活用することを意図した制度である。 従来、大学を含む我が国の学校教育制度において、学校は「法人格を持った設置者によって設置されるもの」であり、学校そのものに法人格は付与されてこなかった。国立大学法人も、大学そのものに法人格を付与したものではなく、例えば学校法人がそうであるように、「大学を設置するための法人」である。 国立大学法人制度は、その誕生時点から諸種の問題を内包し、また実際に運用される中でも多くの課題が指摘されてきた。国立大学法人法制定から約20年、その問題点に対し、法改正も含め、様々な形で政策的対応が行われている。 本稿では、特にその「法人性」に着目し、いくつかの問題点を指摘した上で、その問題点に対しどのような政策的対応が行われてきたのかについて整理を試みる。 The National University Corporation Law was enacted in 2003, and the National University Corporation system has been launched. This system is intended to utilize independent administrative agencies, which had been institutionalized in advance, as the establishers of national universities. In Japan's education system, including universities, schools have traditionally been established by establishers as corporations, and schools themselves have not been given juridical personalities. A National University Corporation is not a university itself, but a corporation for establishing the university with a juridical personality. The National University Corporation system has been fraught with problems since its inception, and many issues have been pointed out during its actual operation. In the 20 years since the National University Corporation Law was enacted, various policies, including legal revisions, have been implemented to improve these problems. This paper focuses on the "juridical personality" of the National University Corporations, points out some of the problems, and attempts to summarize the policy responses that have been taken to address these problems.

本研究は、看護・介護に従事する外国人が「聞いて理解する」ための熊本方言学習用アプリ教材の開発を目指すものである。教材作成に先立ち介護施設で働く日本人職員40名を対象に「利用者がよく使う熊本方言」に関する質問紙調査を実施した。調査は共通語文を提示し、施設利用者がよく使う熊本方言に書き換えるというものである。和田・吉里（2022）では、「食事場面」で使われる熊本方言を分析対象としたが、本稿では「痛み・症状を訴える」「日常会話」の場面について分析した。 形容詞は、「食事場面」での結果と同様、カ語尾が使われていた。また、否定の助動詞「ない」は方言形ンが使われる。共通語では、形容詞の否定も動詞の否定も「ない」を使用するが、熊本方言では、形容詞の否定は「ナカ」、動詞の否定は「食べン」（食べない）と、異なる形式を用いるため、外国人学習者にとってはバリエーションが増えることになる。 次に文法的要素を見ると「娘が服を買ってくれた」のような求心的方向の授与を表す際、クレルとともにヤルの使用が多くみられた。さらに「くれラシタ」「やラシタ」のようなバリエーションも加わり、その組み合わせは多様である。 質問紙調査では、「痛み・症状を訴える」表現として、共通語とは異なる語彙や表現についても尋ねた。回答には『日本方言大辞典』に記載のあるホーゲタ（頬）をフウゲタ、シリタブラ／シッタブラ（臀部）をシリカブタと記載するなど、身体語彙についても多様なバリエーションがあることがうかがえる。 さらに、本稿では接尾辞ゴタルの音声的多様性について検証した。ゴタルは「①～のようだ、②～したい」という意味で使われる。質問紙調査の回答を見ると、回答者によってその表記方法は様々であった。共通語ではこのような表記の揺れはほとんど見られないが、熊本方言では/ru/ は発音の仕方によって聞こえ方が異なるため、表記においてもこのような揺れが生じていると考えられる。熊本方言では、[ɾ] 音を弾き音ではなく、そり舌音的な[ɽ] で発音したり[ɾ] の子音自体が脱落したり、促音化する場合もあるため、/gotaru/ という言葉に関し、[gotaɾu][gotaɽu][gotaɽ] [gotat][gotaʔ] の発音が存在していると考えられる。本稿では、熊本方言話者が「いこゴタル（行きたい）」を4つのパターン、[ikogotaɾɯ][ikogotat][ikogotaː][ikogotaɽ] と発話した音声を音声解析ソフトウェアに取り込み、その違いを視覚的に比較した。 また、「食べたくない」を意味するクオゴツナカは/kuogotu/ の部分で[kuogotu][kuogoɴ][kuogot][kuogoʔ] の4通り、/nai/ の部分では、[nai][naka][ɲaː] という3通りのバリエーションが見られた。 This study aims to develop an application for teaching materials to facilitate the learning of dialects. Prior to the preparation of the teaching materials, a questionnaire survey pertaining to the Kumamoto dialect commonly used by nursing home residents, was circulated among the 40 Japanese nursing home employees. They were asked to convert the sentences written in Standard Japanese to the Kumamoto dialect, which is common among nursing home residents. The results from the dialect sentences used in meal contexts were analyzed in Wada (2022). In this study, “complaints with regard to pain/symptoms,” and “daily life” were analyzed. It was found that all the adjectives belong to the “ka” gobi dialect form in both “complaints with regard to pain/symptoms” and “daily life” contexts, which is the same as the results from meal contexts. Next, regarding grammatical elements, sentences including benefactive expressions in regional dialects such as “musume ga fuku o katte-kureta (My daughter bought clothes for me)” vary significantly. Because “kureru (do something for me)” also varies to “kureta (did something for me)”, “kure-rashita (did something for me)”, there are various combinations. This paper also verifies a phonetic variation in the suffix “gotaru”. “Gotaru” means (1) “no yo-da (it seems like)”, (2) “~tai (want to)”. The results of the questionnaire survey indicate that “gotaru” was spelled in several different ways because /ru/ sounds differently depending on the way it is pronounced. The Standard Japanese /r/ is pronounced with flap [ɾ] while the Kumamoto dialect /r/ is pronounced variously, such as retroflex [ɽ], omission or doubling of /r/ sound. As a result, “gotaru” varies in a number of ways, such as [gotaɾu][gotaɽu][gotaɽ][gotat][gotaʔ]. Orthographic variants are rarely seen in Standard Japanese. These results suggest that phonetic variation is one feature of the Kumamoto dialect.

本稿では、全学生を対象に課外国際共修を含む活動を行っているグローバルランゲージスペースの目的、設置後９年間の活動取組について紹介・総括し、成果と課題について考察した。多数の参加学生を得て、グローバルコンピテンス育成に関する事柄への関心を高める機会を広く提供できたことが成果である。加えて、その活動理念である「内なる国際化」（Internationalization at Home）について概説し、課外国際共修の教育的意義を確認した。さらに、正課・課外国際共修の意義と可能性、「内なる国際化」と大学国際化の関連について確認、考察した。In this paper, an introduction and summary of the goals and activities over the past ９ years of the Global Language Space including Extracurricular Intercultural Collaborative Learning （EICL） to all students of the university are given, and the results and problems are discussed. The major result was that we were able to broadly provide the opportunity to increase interest in matters concerning the development of global competence with a large number of students participating. Additionally, an outline of“ Internationalization at Home（IaH）” which is the ideology behind EICL activities is provided, and the educational value of EICL is validated. Furthermore, the possibilities and value of Curricular and EICL as well as the relationship between IaH and the internationalization of the university are confirmed and considered.

奄美大島で飼育放棄され、野生化した山羊（以下、ノヤギ）は同じ草食哺乳類であるアマミノクロウサギ（以下、クロウサギ）の飼料資源となる野草類を採食し、クロウサギの生活圏を脅かしていることがマスコミにより報じられたが、ノネコやマングースに比べ、ノヤギへの対応は遅れている。2010年に内閣府構造改革特別区域（以下、特区）内でノヤギが狩猟鳥獣として指定され、本格的な駆除事業が始まったが、特区指定後の生息や捕獲状況の詳細は不明である。本調査では、ノヤギの駆除を推進するための基礎的知見を得ることを目的とし、2013年に実施した調査に続き、最近のノヤギの実態を明らかにするため、野外で目視観察するとともに、生息および捕獲状況について聞き取り調査を行った。湯湾岳山頂付近の目撃情報があったにもかかわらず、大和村側登山道入口付近ではノヤギの糞はほとんど見当たらなかった。一方、三太郎峠や奄美中央林道などの内陸部でノヤギの目撃情報が得られた。したがって、湯湾岳を含む内陸部でノヤギが増加する前に当該地域外で早期駆除を行う必要性が示唆された。2020年11月18～20日の野外観察で生息が確認出来たのは奄美市笠利町屋仁地区の3頭（成雄1および成雌2）のみであった。捕獲には生け捕り（ワナ猟）と銃猟があり、宇検村および瀬戸内町では前者、奄美市では銃猟が主流であった。狩猟者による捕獲は継続されているが、急傾斜地や断崖など危険箇所での捕獲は困難であるため、著しい個体数減少は認められなかった。以上より、特区指定後のノヤギは継続的に駆除されているものの、捕獲困難な場所では個体数が減少しておらず、むしろ当該場所で集団化し、群れを作っているものと推察され、目撃情報も勘案すると海岸部から内陸部へ生息域が拡大あるいは群れが移動している可能性が示唆された。

Sō Han (1758-1834), who was physician to Shimazu Shigehide, the 8th feudal lord of the Satsuma Domain, wrote Yakuho Ketsuyo from the latter half of the 18th century to the first half of the 19th century, recording his many years of experience and observation. This paper considers the process of its formation based on the five editions of the manuscripts currently available for study in Japan. Through a method of bibliographic comparison, it is possible to clarify the relationship between all five version (National Diet Library, National Archives of Japan, Iwase Bunko Library, Kyo-U Library, and Tokyo Medical University Library) and the time of their formation. The National Diet Library and Kyo-U Library editions are three-volume books consisting of three sections, and the others are four-volume books consisting of four sections. The arrangement of the sections and the number of entries indicate that the Iwase Bunko Library edition is intermediate between the three-volume and four-volume versions. Yakuho Ketsuyo contains many citations from earlier books on materia medica and geography, the most notable of which is Ishō. Many parts of the book are related to Sō Han's teacher, Taki Motonori, and the author of Ishō, Taki Motoyasu, showing that in addition to his duties as physician to the Satsuma Domain – managing the medicinal plots and appraising the herbs there – there are traces of interaction with physicians from the shogunate and those from other domains stationed in Edo. Not bound by traditional knowledge of medicinal herbs, Sō Han recorded his knowledge of imported books such as Honzō Jūshin and Seiki Monkenroku, and also had an interest in Western botany and pharmacy, obtaining new information from scholars of Western learning. The work that Sō Han performed in Yakuho Ketsuyo adding new insights and information seems to have been common to materia medica scholars at that time. Through examples such as entries on Panax quinquefolius and Ophiocordyceps sinensis, it can be pointed out that Taki Motoyasu's Ishō had not been made into a printed book at the stage when Sō Han was referring to it. There are also traces of additions In Yakuho Ketsuyo made by scholars of materia medica who succeeded Sō Han. The results of the daily communication and exchanges of information among scholars are reflected in the changes in these manuscripts.曽槃（1758-1834）は薩摩藩八代藩主島津重豪の侍医である。『薬圃擷餘』は曽槃が18世紀後半から19世紀前半にかけて著述したものである。『薬圃擷餘』には多年の曽槃自身の体験や見聞が記録として残されている。本稿は，調査可能な『薬圃擷餘』五つの写本に基づいて，『薬圃擷餘』の成立過程を考察したものである。現在見られる諸写本はいずれも稿本であるが，①国会本，②内閣本，③岩瀬本，④杏雨本，⑤東医本諸本の書誌学的な比較検討を通じて，それぞれの成立に関する前後関係および写本相互の関係を明らかにした。内閣本と杏雨本は三つの部類から成る三巻本であり，ほかは四つの部類から成る四巻本である。部類の配列や項目数を見ると，岩瀬本は三巻本と四巻本の中間的な存在であることがわかった。 『薬圃擷餘』は先行の本草書や地誌などの多くの引用から成り立っているが，その様々な引用書の中で，注目したいのは『医賸』の存在である。曽槃の師である多紀藍渓及び『医賸』の著者である多紀元簡と関わる記事が本書には散見され，曽槃の活動の具体的な様相，すなわち，薩摩藩の侍医として公的な任務―藩領にある薬圃の管理や薬草の鑑定―に加えて，幕府の医員や他藩の江戸詰の医者たちとの交流の跡が記されている。 曽槃は伝統的な本草知識に束縛されることなく，舶来書籍（『本草従新』『西域聞見録』など）の知識を筆録するとともに，西洋の植物学や薬学への関心を持ち，蕃書が読める蘭学者たちから新しい情報を得ていることが注目される。 曽槃が『薬圃擷餘』で行った新たな見聞や情報を増補していく作業は，当時の本草学者に普遍的なものであると考えられる。「廣東人参」「冬虫夏草」のような例を通じて，多紀元簡『医賸』も曽槃が参照した段階から刪補を経て刊本の形になったことを指摘した。『薬圃擷餘』の中には後継の本草学者たちが残した増補の跡が随所に見られる。学者たちの日々の交流や情報交換の結果が，写本の変化として表れているのである。

本研究は熊本市を中心とする地域で使用されている方言を、看護・介護に従事する外国人が「聞いて理解する」ための、方言学習用アプリ教材開発を目指している。教材作成に先立ち、介護施設で働く日本人職員40名を対象に「利用者がよく使う熊本方言」に関する質問紙調査を実施した。本稿は調査で収集した熊本方言について分析し報告するものである。調査ではまず看護・介護に携わる外国人のための日本語学習教材『専門日本語入門 場面から学ぶ介護の日本語』の中から、「食事」「痛み・症状を訴える」「日常生活」の場面で、施設利用者の発話として例示されている文を抽出した。この文を日本人職員に「食事が済む→もう、クイオワッタバイ」のように、「施設利用者からよく聞く熊本方言」に変換して記述してもらった。本稿で分析対象とするのは食事の場面で使われる共通語文（11文）に対して回答のあった熊本方言の文（512文）についてである。収集した文を「状況を説明する表現：名詞＋が＋状態変化動詞／形容詞」、「相手の行動を促す表現」「自分の行動について述べる表現」に分けて統計的手法を用いながら分析を行った結果、次のような特徴が明らかになった。形容詞については全て方言形「ナカ（ない）、カタカ（固い）、コユカ（濃い）、オオカ（多い）」のようにカ語尾（熊本方言で形容詞の終止形・連体形活用語尾が「カ」になること）が見られる。助詞については、主格を表す助詞「が」は「ノ、ン」へ、「を」は「バ」への交替が大勢を占めている。助詞・形容詞に共通語との規則的な対応が見られる一方、文全体を見ると共通語文に対応する地域方言の文は多様である。例えば名詞「みそ汁」に対応する表現として「ミソシュル、ミソオツユ」など九つのバリエーションが見られるほか、「（みそ汁が）さめる」には動詞「ヒユル（冷える）、サムル（冷める）」のほか形容詞「冷たい」があてられている。述部はさらに「ヒエトル（冷えている）、ヒエテシモトル（冷えてしまっている）」「サメトラス（冷めている）、ウッサメチシモトル（冷めてしまっている）」など、多様な形式が出現する。共通語においても、現実の言語コミュニケーションの場面で、同一事象を表す語や文法形式の組み合わせが多岐にわたることは想定されるが、社会活動の中で方言が頻繁に使用される地域においては、さらに方言特有の音変化や文法形式のバリエーションが重なり、共通語以上に多様な表現形式が出現することが今回の調査で確認された。社会活動の中で方言が頻繁に使用される方言多用地域で看護・介護に従事する外国人のための方言学習教材では、助詞や形容詞に見られる共通語と地域方言の規則的な変換とともに、出現頻度の高い多様な方言形式を提示する必要がある。今回の調査で観察された熊本方言の音声や文法表現の特徴、出現頻度を詳細に分析し、今後教材化を進めていきたい。, This study aims to develop an app of teaching materials to facilitate the learning of dialects. The app is designed to help foreigners engaged in nursing and caregiving, “hear and understand” dialects used in the Kumamoto City region. Prior to the preparation of the teaching materials, a questionnaire survey pertaining to the Kumamoto dialect commonly used by nursing home residents was circulated among the 40 Japanese nursing home employees participating in this study. This paper analyzes and draws inferences about the Kumamoto dialect based on the data collected through the survey.The survey first extracted sentences typically uttered by nursing home residents in the contexts of “meals,” “complaints with regard to pain/symptoms,” and “daily life.” These sentences were based on Senmon Nihongo Nyumon: Bamen kara Manabu Kaigo no Nihongo (Introduction to Specialist Japanese: Learning Nursing Care Japanese in Context), a Japanese language textbook for foreigners involved in nursing and caregiving. The Japanese employees were asked to convert these sentences into the Kumamoto dialect, which is common among nursing home residents.” For instance, they were expected to describe “After a meal as mo kuiowatta-bai. (I have finished eating).” In this way, 512 Kumamoto dialect sentences used in response to standard sentences (11 sentences) in meal contexts were analyzed in this study. The sentences thus obtained were classified as“ expressions that explain situations: noun + ga + change of state verb/adjective,” “expressions that encourage others’ actions,” and “expressions that explain someone’s own actions.” A statistical analysis was conducted on the data obtained, and the following characteristics became clear.It was found that all the adjectives belong to the “ka”-gobi dialect form (in the Kumamoto dialect, the predicative/attributive conjugative suffix of the adjective becomes “ka”), such as the dialect forms “naka (not),” “kataka (hard [in texture]),” koyuka (thick),” and “ooka (a lot).” With regard to postpositional particles, the nominative postpositional particle “ga” changes to “no” or“ N” in many cases. Finally, in many instances, the accusative“ wo” changes to“ ba.”While postpositional particles and adjectives typically correspond with standard Japanese, phrases in regional dialects vary significantly. For example, there are nine variations of expressions that correspond to the noun“ miso-shiru” (miso soup); some of these include“ miso-syuru” and “miso-otsuyu.” Furthermore, the expression translating to “The miso-shiru is getting cold” is expressed in different ways, using the dialect verbs“ hiyuru (getting cold)” or “samuru (getting cold)” as well as the adjective“ cold.” Finally, several variations in the use of the predicate exist, including “hie-toru (It’s cold),” “hiete-shimo-toru (it’s gotten cold),” “sameto-rasu (It’s cold),” and“ us-samechi-shimo-toru (it’s gotten cool)”.Presumably, in real-life communication scenarios, standard language may also employ several combinations of vocabulary and grammatical forms to express the same phenomenon. However, this survey confirmed that in regions that frequently use dialects in their social activities, even more diverse expressions may appear through aspects unique to the dialect, including phonological changes and grammatical forms.The dialect-learning materials for foreigners engaged in nursing and caregiving in regions that frequently use dialects in social activities need to cover how postpositional particles and adjectives in regional dialect forms correspond to standard Japanese, as well as commonly used dialect forms. Through a detailed analysis of the characteristics possessed by the phonological and grammatical expressions observed in this survey and a consideration of their frequency, the development of teaching materials may be planned.

本稿は、SDGs（Sustainable Development Goals; 持続的開発・発展目標）に係る国連決議文（2015）原文にある「前文」をテキストとして、特に語彙、文法、構成に注意を払いながら解釈し、英語教育・学習に資すると思われる特徴的な面を指摘し、それらに考察を加えるものである。この国連決議文は、いわゆる学術的文章とは趣きが異なるが、全世界の国民、民族一人ひとりに向けられた内容を有する点で、社会的に開かれたグローバルな文章といってよいであろう。そのテキストの素材はいわゆるEIL（English as an International Language）と考えられ、適切な配慮のもとで英語教育・学習の対象ともなりうる。とりわけ社会的な文脈を踏まえた解釈をする教材として利用価値が高いと思われる。構成や語彙・文法の観点から考察をして見えてくるものは、少なくとも以下の６点である：⑴文章構成法上の工夫：決議文は、その宣言の中核にSDGs を謳うことを念頭にしながら、決議文全体の「前文」や宣言の「導入部」を設けている点に特徴がみられる。その機能を発揮する上で、３重の「入れ子」構造を成している。⑵単なる単語の累積ではない、汎用性の高い句レベルの表現の活用：言及される主要語彙の理解を深める方向での句表現がみられる（e.g. poverty in all its forms and dimensions）。⑶類義表現の活用：（近い文脈内で同じ表現を繰り返し用いることを避ける場合（e.g. eradicating poverty vs. ending poverty）と同一文脈内で同義的な意味領域を共有しながら、同時に微妙な意味合いを表現し分ける場合（e.g. goals and targets）が観察される。⑷日常の感覚に根ざす隠喩（メタファー）と、それを基軸とした関連語彙の活用：いわゆるSDGs に係る2030年までの時限付き目標への組織的な取り組みが、journey という隠喩により表現され、その関連語彙・表現が同じ文脈内で用いられ（e.g. steps, path, embark, “no one will be left behind”）、一つの印象的な意味空間を構成している。⑸文脈上の主題に沿った無生物主語構文の活用：文脈上の叙述の視点をそろえながら物主構文を使い、同時に主題を強調する表現効果を生んでいる。⑹抽象名詞の普通名詞化の観察：抽象名詞の抽象概念を具体化して認識することで、その行為や事例を数えられる普通名詞として用いる事象が少なからず観察できる（e.g. freedoms, partnerships, responsibilities）。少なくともこれらの観点を実際の英語教育・学習上の検討課題としたい。, This paper suggests helpful teaching and learning points for consideration in English education classrooms. The recommendations are mainly based on the preamble of the “Resolution adopted by the General Assembly on 25 September 2015” (i.e., SDGs Declaration). This type of text might not be accepted as so-called academic prose. However, it seems conducive for collegiate and adult English education towards improving understanding and fostering potential societal impact.In the text, organizational features and some grammatical aspects of the sentences have been analyzed. As a result, six recommendations for consideration are as follows: 1) a Chinesebox style organization of content, in which the preamble and the introduction to the Declaration are effectively used for the benefit of readers’ better understanding; 2) semantic phrasal chunks rather than each lexical item, such as in “poverty in its all forms and dimensions” or “goals and targets” ; 3) effective use of synonyms, like one alternative use of verbs “end vs. eradicate”, which means much the same, the other use of nouns “goals and targets,” each of which has a slightly different meaning; 4) effective use of a metaphorical word and its related ones and phrases, such as a“ collective journey” for a long-term laborious activities and a few related words embark, path, steps, and “no one will be left behind.”; 5) an inanimate subject construction, like “the goals and targets will stimulate action over…”; and 6) conversion of abstract nouns to common nouns in number, such as in “Global Partnership for Sustainable Development” vs. “multi-stakeholder partnerships,” depending on the specific context. In conclusion, English language learning may be enhanced when considering these recommendations. Further investigation should be conducted to test these recommendations.

The aim of this paper is to look key persons as the decisive factor in the success of sister-city exchange. The sister-city system in Japan started in 1955, and since then many Japanese local governments have established sister-city relationships with cities abroad, but detailed investigations into those governments' contribution to maintaining and developing the exchange systems have hardly been conducted. 'Key person' in this study refers to a central figure who plays an important role in sister-city exchange. This paper takes up the sister-city relationship between Ichikikushikino, in Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan and Salinas, in California, United States, which has cultivated a long-standing friendship between the two cities, based on the historical background of the emigration of Japanese people to California. The exchange of both cities has been conducted in a friendly way since 1979. The paper considers Zen-Ichiro Uchida as a key person who contributed to developing the sister city relationship between Ichikikushikino and Salinas. It concludes that key persons are indispensable for the continuity and development of sister-city exchanges.

2021年7月，世界自然遺産に登録された奄美大島・徳之島など南西諸島を含む地域の活性化において，河川や道路インフラの整備は喫緊の課題である．島々を訪れる入込観光客が見込まれることからも，動植物のハビタットの保護，自然林の分布する国立公園や公共施設内の樹木管理なども含む社会資本整備としてのグリーンインフラの重要性が叫ばれている．また，グリーンインフラ資源調査は，津波による防波対策や台風による風水害の対策においても必要とされ，住民の生活の場としての緑の創出と同時に避難場所確保など防災対策に寄与する．マングローブ林や防風・防潮林の分布状況を調査することは，大津波や大型化する台風への防災・減災対策にも有用である．ここでは，マングローブ林を含む植物群の分布の拡大と生育状況の監視や干潟，河川流域の気温・水温調査にも有用なUAV を用いたグリーンインフラ整備のためのモニタリング技術手法について検討する．

奄美大島笠利半島において、UAV（Unmanned Aerial Vehicle）で撮影した空撮写真と、SfM（Structure from Motion）画像処理ソフトを用いて作成した高解像度の3D地形モデルから、笠利半島の海成段丘を2面に区分することができた。UAVによって撮影された写真を用いた3D地形 モデルの作成は、これまでの空中写真立体視を用いた地形区分より詳細な地形分類図を作成する上で有効である。詳細な3D地形モデル作製のためには、定量的な撮影計画に基づく、正確な写真撮影が不可欠であり、離島では地形や気象条件を考えた工夫が必要である。

奄美大島は奄美群島のなかで最大の島である。奄美大島は多様な自然、文化、歴史を持つ、原生林に溢れた海岸や山地、周りに透明度の高い青い海、及び多様な動植物の豊富な島であり、島の一部は国立公園として指定されている。島の地質において基盤となる岩石は、秩父帯に区分される後期ジュラ紀〜前期白亜紀の地層と四万十帯に区分される後期〜前期白亜紀の地層からなり、それらは現地性の玄武岩を含んでいる。先行研究では、これらの玄武岩類は２つの異なる火山活動に由来するとされている。北西部に産するものはペルム紀のチャートブロックに隣接していて、中央及び北東部に産するものは四万十付加体の海洋底層序の基底をなしていて、産状とマグマの起源が異なっていると報告されている。しかし、これらの玄武岩類は野外での産状、岩石学的特徴及び地球化学的の証拠から類似し、形成年代もはっきりしておらず、同起源のマグマから形成したことも考えられる。本研究では、奄美大島で地質調査を実施し、北西部に産する貫入した玄武岩と中央や北東部に産する現地性玄武岩及び関連の岩石試料の岩石学記載的研究及び全岩化学組成分析を行い、それぞれの地域の玄武岩の地球化学的比較を行なった。本報告ではそれらの結果を評価する。

喜界島において離水年代の異なる段丘上の土壌を採取し，その土壌学的特性を解析した。時間経過の長い土壌ほどAl₂O₂およびFe₂O₃の含有率が高い傾向にあり，脱ケイ酸作用が進行していることがうかがえた。また，経過時間の長い土壌ほどa*値が高く，土色の赤色度が強いことが示された。海洋酸素同位体ステージ（MIS）5e，5aに対比されている段丘上の土壌（K-1，K-2）およびMIS 3に対比されている段丘上の土壌（K-3）はジチオナイト−クエン酸塩可溶鉄（Fed）に対する酸性シュウ酸塩可溶鉄（Feo）の含有率比（Feo/Fed）がいずれも小さく，遊離酸化鉄に占める結晶性成分の比率が高いことが示された。一方，K-1，K-2 およびK-3のメスバウアスペクトルからは，ヘマタイト（α-Fe₂O₃）あるいはゲーサイト（α-FeOOH）のピークは認められなかった。このことから，喜界島の土壌は時間経過とともに赤色化が進んでいるが，少なくとも13万年程度の時間経過ではヘマタイトの生成までには至っていないと予想された。

奄美群島を中心に南西諸島在来カンキツの分布を明らかにするとともに、それらの果実特性の調査およびDNA分析を実施した。その結果、①黒島のコズミカンおよび屋久島のコズがシィクワーサーであることを発見した。これによって、在来カンキツとしてのシィクワーサーの北限が更新された。②長島から徳之島まで鹿児島の島嶼域で栽培されているクロシマミカン（シマミカン）が遺伝的に同一であり、これらが栄養繁殖で分布域を拡大したことを示した。③南西諸島に広く分布するカーブチー、オートー、シークー類には種内変異は認められないこと、これらがシィクワーサーやクネンボ、ダイダイを親として発生したことを推察した。

本研究の目的は、小児がんの病名を告知されていない場合と告知されている場合の患児・親・医療者の気持ちや体験を明らかにすること、今後の小児がん看護におけるケアについての示唆を得ることである。「医学中央雑誌」WEB 版より、「小児がん」「看護」「病名告知」をキーワードにして検索した1991年から2018年までの21編を分析した。分析の結果、患児には病名を知る機会が多くみられ、告知されている患児と比較すると未告知の患児は不安に陥りやすいことが分かった。また、親は告知の有無にかかわらず患児が不安をもつことを心配していた。一方、医療者は未告知の患児への対応に困難さを感じていた。看護師は、患児や家族の些細な変化にも気づく感性、告知の有無によって起こりうる今後の展開をアセスメントする能力や患児と家族間の意見調整が必要だということが示唆された。, This study aimed to clarify the feelings and experiences of pediatric patients, parents, and health care providers in cases where the pediatric patient was and was not notified of having pediatric cancer, and to obtain suggestions for childhood cancer nursing care.We utilized Ichushi -Web to search for the keywords “pediatric cancer,” “nursing,” and “disease notification,” and subsequently analyzed 21 papers from 1991 to 2018. The results of the analysis revealed that in comparison with pediatric patients who had received a notification, pediatric patients who had not received it tended to feel anxious. Moreover, there were many opportunities for pediatric patients to learn the name of the disease from the people in their network. Parents reported being worried that their children would be anxious, regardless of notification. Moreover, health care practitioners felt it was difficult to deal with pediatric patients who had not received a notification.It was suggested that nurses need to be capable of noticing even the slightest changes in the child and family, the ability to assess future prospects based on the presence or absence of notification and the coordination of opinions between the child and family.

本論の目的は，成川式土器を分類し，土器編年を構築することである。対象資料は，九州南部に分布する95遺跡から出土した成川式土器で，属性分析という方法を用いて分析を行った。結果，弥生時代後期から平安時代前期までの土器を10期に区分でき，他地域（北部九州地域，宮崎県南部地域）の土器編年とも併行関係を整理することができた。今後は，この編年を基盤としながら，笹貫I 式の土器様相の再分析も進めることで，成川式土器の終焉過程と律令期の土器様式の普及過程の関係を明らかにしたい。, This study aims to classify Narikawa-style pottery and to establish its chronology through attribute analysis. It does so using Narikawa-style pottery recovered from 95 sites located in southern Kyushu.The results indicate that pottery from the Late Yayoi to the Early Heian period can be divided into 10 phases. The new chronology proposed in this paper is roughly consistent with the chronology of other regions (northern Kyushu region, southern Miyazaki prefecture).The refined chronology proposed here and the reexamination of Sasanuki Type Ⅰ might help reveal a causal link between the end of Narikawa-style pottery and the spread of Ritsuryo-style pottery in the southern Kyushu region.

島唄教室は1960年代末から，従来の集落内部に機能する歌遊びに代わって，新たな島唄伝承の場として登場した。それは本来集落（シマ）ごとに多様であるはずの島唄の多様性を均質化させる場として，しばしば批判の対象となってきた。しかし，島唄伝承の場が教室以外にない今，肯定的な見直しが必要である。本稿では，日本における民謡の近代化は，「江差追分」の正調化を中心に振り返ったのち，奄美で初めて全国規模の教室を立ち上げた武下和平の「武下流」の成立とその教授法を取り上げ，本土民謡の「保存会」と比較しつつ検討した。次いで，正調化の傾向を意識的に避け，教室にシマの歌遊びの要素を入れようとした一例として，昭和から平成にかけて活躍した唄者・坪山豊（1930-2020）が主宰した教室を取り上げ，武下の教室と対比的に論じたのち，師と弟子の唄，および教室外の唄者の坪山節の歌唱との比較を行った。結果として，教室において師の唄の模倣を推奨せず，弟子の個性を伸ばすことを重視した坪山教室にあっても，弟子は師の唄の特徴を大きく引継ぎ，師の唄の模倣を中心とする「武下流」と相似た結果を示すことが分かった。現在，メディアの多様化は，教室に通う島唄学習者の意識や環境を大きく変化させている。今後は奄美島唄も島唄教室もその影響を免れないだろう。奄美島唄の伝承は今日新たな局面に入ったと言える。, In the late 1960s, shimauta schools began to appear as a new way for learning shimauta, replacing the traditional uta-asobi, recreational gatherings for the purpose of singing in the villages. The schools have often been criticized for ignoring various singing styles of shimauta, the original meaning of which is “village songs”. However, there is no place to hand down the shimauta tradition outside of the schools. This requires a positive reevaluation of the role of shimauta schools.This paper focuses on the method of Tsuboyama Yutaka who tried to adopt the elements of uta-asobi in his school by encouraging his pupils to sing in their own style, rather than imitating his. The uniqueness of his method stands out when we compare it to the method of contemporary shimauta singer, Takeshita Kazuhira, founder of the first nationwide shimauta schools in which he makes students imitate his songs.However, the results of musicological analysis reveal that even in Tsuboyama’s school, students largely inherited the characteristics of their teacher's songs, just like the students in Takeshita’s schools.

本稿は、現代英語の接続表現の一つであるand に着目し、そのコンテクスト（場面、状況、文脈）に応じた振る舞いを、主として意味（特に含意）の面から観察し、その類義表現とも照らしながら、and が伝達しうる含意について考察する。英語教育・学習上、and のような、相対的に使用頻度の高い語彙ほど注意が必要で、安易に読み過ごしたり、話し言葉的な振る舞いと書き言葉的な振る舞いを混同して用いたり、表現効果を認識しそこなっている場合が往々にしてある。and を日本語感覚の「と」や「そして」のみで捉えていることが多いのもその一端であろう。英語のand は日本語のそのような語感をもちつつも、文脈や使い方に応じて、幅ひろく、異なる振る舞いをする。こうした点は、英語教育・学習の盲点にもなっているように思われる。接続表現and が持ちうる複数の含意を、学習者の視点で相互に関係づけ、それらを授業や学習によりよく資する方向で活かす可能性を共有したい。, This paper is mainly concerned with the meaning and use of and, one of present-day widely-used English connectives. Structural and pragmatic considerations have been made to the form of A and B, in which both A and B can be words, phrases, clauses, and sentences, respectively, according to a given context. It has been shown in the related literature (Quirk et al. 1972, 1985 and others) that the English connective and has eight types of pragmatic implications according to context: 1) addition, 2) similarity, 3) sequence of time, 4) consequence, 5) contrast, 6) concession, 7) comment and explanation, and 8) condition and hypothesis. Based upon them, I have here presented actual examples drawn mainly from a particular academic article in Science (2017) and their critical explanations. Some brief notes have been also made here on the use of some English connectives such as therefore, but, however, then, etc., which can be paraphrased by the connective and. It will be hoped as the need arises that we can notice and use the implications in the connective and depending on its context to promote better communication of ideas between English users.

本研究の目的は、手術室看護師が経験する倫理的問題の具体的な内容を文献から明らかにすることである。医学中央雑誌Web 版で「手術」「看護師」「倫理」をキーワードとして、2018年までに公表された論文を対象とした。分析の結果、手術室看護師が経験する倫理的問題は、【手術室看護師自身が関係するもの】【手術室の環境】【医師が関係するもの】【患者のプライバシー】【手術室看護師と患者との関係性】【医療安全】【患者の身体抑制】の７カテゴリに整理された。手術室看護師が経験する倫理的問題は、個人での取り組みに限界があることが推察された。手術室看護師は、自身が経験した倫理的問題について言語化し他者と共有できるよう努めることが必要である。また、管理者は倫理的な視点から個人のサポートに努めるとともに、話し合えるような職場環境の整備を行い、組織としても対応していくことが重要である。This study aims to clarify the specific content on the ethical issues experienced by operating room nurses in the literature. We targeted papers published by 2018 with the keywords “surgery,” “nurse,” and “ethics” in the online version of the Central Medical Magazine. The analysis showed that the ethical issues experienced by operating room nurses are divided into seven categories; “doctor-related,” “nurse-related,” “patient-related,” “privacy of the patients,” “physical restraint of the patients,” “medical safety,” and “operating room environment.” It was inferred that the ethical issues experienced by operating room nurses were limited to individual efforts. Operating room nurses need to strive to verbalize and share the ethical issues they experience. Additionally, it is important for managers to support individuals so that these issues can be verbalized from an ethical standpoint, to create a work environment fostering communication, and to respond as an organization.

Sō Han (1758-1834), who was physician to Shimazu Shigehide, the 8th feudal lord of the Satsuma Domain, wrote Yakuho Ketsuyo from the latter half of the 18th century to the first half of the 19th century, recording his many years of experience and observation. This paper considers the process of its formation based on the five editions of the manuscripts currently available for study in Japan. Through a method of bibliographic comparison, it is possible to clarify the relationship between all five version (National Diet Library, National Archives of Japan, Iwase Bunko Library, Kyo-U Library, and Tokyo Medical University Library) and the time of their formation. The National Diet Library and Kyo-U Library editions are three-volume books consisting of three sections, and the others are four-volume books consisting of four sections. The arrangement of the sections and the number of entries indicate that the Iwase Bunko Library edition is intermediate between the three-volume and four-volume versions. Yakuho Ketsuyo contains many citations from earlier books on materia medica and geography, the most notable of which is Ishō. Many parts of the book are related to Sō Han's teacher, Taki Motonori, and the author of Ishō, Taki Motoyasu, showing that in addition to his duties as physician to the Satsuma Domain – managing the medicinal plots and appraising the herbs there – there are traces of interaction with physicians from the shogunate and those from other domains stationed in Edo. Not bound by traditional knowledge of medicinal herbs, Sō Han recorded his knowledge of imported books such as Honzō Jūshin and Seiki Monkenroku, and also had an interest in Western botany and pharmacy, obtaining new information from scholars of Western learning. The work that Sō Han performed in Yakuho Ketsuyo adding new insights and information seems to have been common to materia medica scholars at that time. Through examples such as entries on Panax quinquefolius and Ophiocordyceps sinensis, it can be pointed out that Taki Motoyasu's Ishō had not been made into a printed book at the stage when Sō Han was referring to it. There are also traces of additions In Yakuho Ketsuyo made by scholars of materia medica who succeeded Sō Han. The results of the daily communication and exchanges of information among scholars are reflected in the changes in these manuscripts.曽槃（1758-1834）は薩摩藩八代藩主島津重豪の侍医である。『薬圃擷餘』は曽槃が18世紀後半から19世紀前半にかけて著述したものである。『薬圃擷餘』には多年の曽槃自身の体験や見聞が記録として残されている。本稿は，調査可能な『薬圃擷餘』五つの写本に基づいて，『薬圃擷餘』の成立過程を考察したものである。現在見られる諸写本はいずれも稿本であるが，①国会本，②内閣本，③岩瀬本，④杏雨本，⑤東医本諸本の書誌学的な比較検討を通じて，それぞれの成立に関する前後関係および写本相互の関係を明らかにした。内閣本と杏雨本は三つの部類から成る三巻本であり，ほかは四つの部類から成る四巻本である。部類の配列や項目数を見ると，岩瀬本は三巻本と四巻本の中間的な存在であることがわかった。 『薬圃擷餘』は先行の本草書や地誌などの多くの引用から成り立っているが，その様々な引用書の中で，注目したいのは『医賸』の存在である。曽槃の師である多紀藍渓及び『医賸』の著者である多紀元簡と関わる記事が本書には散見され，曽槃の活動の具体的な様相，すなわち，薩摩藩の侍医として公的な任務―藩領にある薬圃の管理や薬草の鑑定―に加えて，幕府の医員や他藩の江戸詰の医者たちとの交流の跡が記されている。 曽槃は伝統的な本草知識に束縛されることなく，舶来書籍（『本草従新』『西域聞見録』など）の知識を筆録するとともに，西洋の植物学や薬学への関心を持ち，蕃書が読める蘭学者たちから新しい情報を得ていることが注目される。 曽槃が『薬圃擷餘』で行った新たな見聞や情報を増補していく作業は，当時の本草学者に普遍的なものであると考えられる。「廣東人参」「冬虫夏草」のような例を通じて，多紀元簡『医賸』も曽槃が参照した段階から刪補を経て刊本の形になったことを指摘した。『薬圃擷餘』の中には後継の本草学者たちが残した増補の跡が随所に見られる。学者たちの日々の交流や情報交換の結果が，写本の変化として表れているのである。

本稿では、オンライン国際交流教育の定義づけを行い、その一種と位置付けたオンライン国際協働学習（COIL: Collaborative Online International Learning）について、2020年度に筆者が担当したタイ王国ブーラパー大学との授業実践を報告、考察するとともに、その学習成果を授業評価とアンケート等、並びにBEVI（Beliefs, Events, and Values Inventory）によって分析し、OECD のPISA（Programme for International Student Assessment）の定義によるグローバルコンピテンスの育成について考察を行った。授業評価とアンケート等から、同コンピテンスに関連した学習成果の具体的内容が確認でき、オンライン国際交流教育（今回はCOIL）という手段でも、グローバルコンピテンスの育成に寄与したことがわかった。また、BEVI によって、学生の持つ非認知能力の高低により学習後の変容が異なること、変容が異文化感受性だけでなく、他の非認知能力にも影響することが確認できた。故に、グローバルコンピテンスは、影響し合う他の能力とともに段階的に時間をかけて育成すべきであり、特に学習者の同コンピテンスが相対的に低い場合、同コンピテンスを構成する４つの力を複数の授業で段階的に焦点を当て、繰り返し時間をかけて養うカリキュラムを構成することが有効だと述べた。, In this paper, a definition for“ Online International Interactive Education” has been made, and a report and observations about the implementation of one form of this, COIL (Collaborative Online International Learning) with Burapha University in the Kingdom of Thailand by the author in 2020 are provided. The educational outcomes are evaluated using class evaluations, surveys, and BEVI (Beliefs, Events, and Values Inventory) and the development of global competence was evaluated according to the definitions by PISA (Programme for International Student Assessment) of the OECD. From the class evaluations and surveys, concrete learning outcomes concerning global competence could be ascertained, and it was found that global competence could be developed through“ Online International Interactive Education”. Through BEVI, it was found that the transformational results after learning depended upon the level of the student's ‘Full Scale Score', non-cognitive abilities, and that the student's transformation affected not only their intercultural sensitivity but also their other non-cognitive abilities. On this basis, it is stated that Global competence should be developed together with other related abilities and it will be effective to structure a curriculum where Global competence is developed gradually over a long time period while focusing on different element(s) of the competence in each class.

We studied on typical sorting algorithms, compared their efficiencies, and proposed and evaluated a new sorting algorithms. In this paper, for some typical sorting algorithms, the principle and properties of each algorithm are described, and a function-type program in C language is given. Numerical experiments were used to compare and evaluate the execution times of the three O(n2) sorting algorithms (i.e., Bubble sort, Insertion sort and Selection sort) and the three O(nlogn) sorting algorithms ( i.e., Quicksort, Heaposrt and Mergesort). Furthermore, we proposed a new algorithm called Binary search insertion sort, compared it with the conventional Insertion sort, and confirmed that it can sort at a high speed of about 68%.

The law of energy conservation is most basic and universal in natural phenomena. At mechanics of material particle，the conservation law of mechanical energy correlates only potential energy with translational kinetic energy. However, in the motion of a rigid body, the energy of rotation must be added. In this paper, we discuss the conservation law of mechanical energy from student experiments, when a rigid body does not rotate and when it rotates. By analyzing experimental data, students understand the concept of the conservation law of mechanical energy, which includes the energy of rotation in the motion of a rigid body.

鹿児島県の製造業は、県内総生産への寄与度や産業連関による産業別の影響度数、感応度数いずれも高く、他の産業との関連性が強い産業として位置づけられている。しかしながら、南西諸島域において、製造業についての、実態調査や可能性調査はあまり行われていない。工業地帯ではない地方や離島に立地する理由としては、自然災害などの地理的リスク回避、優遇税制や補助金、地域社会への溶け込みやすさなどなどが挙げられる。また、高い定着率や低い給与水準などのメリットがあるが、気象条件による輸送の大幅遅延や輸送コストが大きな課題として残されている。規模拡大やシナジー効果を生み出すには、雇用確保や協力企業の確保、そして電力や通信、交通、工業用水などのインフラの整備が不可欠である。

奄美大島の照葉樹林において、伐採履歴および微地形と種多様性との関係を把握することを目的として調査を行った。照葉樹林の種組成は尾根に近い上部斜面域と、深い谷に面した下部斜面域との間で共通性が見られるものの、明瞭に分布パターンが異なるいくつかの種群が認められた。特に、地生草本は下部斜面域に分布する種が多く、非伐採地を中心に絶滅危惧種を多く含む着生植物の生育地となっていた。琉球・奄美の固有種としては13種が出現した。固有種の種密度は、伐採歴、微地形による差はなく、伐採地の二次林でも複数種が生育していることが明らかになった。

奄美大島で古くから栽培されるスモモ‘カラリ’は、低温要求量は極めて少ないと考えられている。鹿児島県はモモの栽培地域の南限であり、近年進行する温暖化対策として低温要求量の少ない品種の導入が注目されているが、台木の検討も求められている。本研究では、‘カラリ’の台木としての活用について検討するため、挿し木実験をおこない、また‘カラリ’の苗木生産について現地で聞き取り調査を行った。発根促進剤を処理して緑枝挿しを行ったところ、無処理区を含むすべての処理区で全て枯死し、発根も確認できなかった。現地調査から、‘カラリ’在来系統の育苗は吸枝からの株分けに依存していることも明らかとなった。‘カラリ’に関しては低温要求量も不明であり、台木用の‘カラリ’の苗木生産のみならず、‘カラリ’そのものの苗木生産や栽培特性を解明するためには多くの課題があることが明らかとなった。

2018年4月に南九州・南西諸島域共創機構の中核として産学・地域共創センターは発足し、産学・地域連携活動を開始した。このセンターにおける産学・地域連携活動においては南九州への研究成果の展開に注力しているが、その中でも島嶼域への研究成果の社会実装を重要視する取り組みを行った。本報告では、組織成立の過程や、地域の「マイクロニーズ」の観察内容と今後の展望を記述する。

薩南諸島の植物相の知見を蓄積することを目的として、鹿児島大学総合研究博物館の植物標本室（KAG）に収蔵されている植物標本のデータベース化の推進とその情報の分析、および甑島列島、屋久島、黒島、奄美大島、徳之島の現地調査を実施した。現地調査や標本調査を通じ、環境省や鹿児島県のレッドデータブックで絶滅種とされていたホソバノキミズを奄美大島で再発見したほか、サケバキンチャク、ヒメミクリガヤツリ、ハイクサネム、ホウキガヤツリなどを県内で新たに帰化植物として確認し、また長崎県五島列島から日本新産のオオヒメキセワタの報告を行った。また、各島で100m×5m のベルトトランセクト調査を行い、生育する植物多様性に関する基礎的知見を集積した。

さとうきびは台風や水不足などの影響をあまり受けず過酷な環境下でも育つため，鹿児島県南西諸島の根幹作物になっている．さとうきび栽培において圃場の均平作業はさとうきびの生育ムラを解消するために欠かせない作業であるが，その多くは圃場面の目視により行われる．圃場面の起伏を計測する方法として水準測量があるが，専用の機器と高度な資格を有した技術者が必要な上に測量作業に多大な時間とコストを要してしまう．本研究では，本事業で開発するIoTモジュールを乗用型さとうきび収穫機ハーベスタに搭載し，そのIoTモジュールから出力されるRTK測位データを利用する．収穫と同時にハーベスタの位置情報をRTK測位することで，圃場面の3次元位置はセンチメートル級の高精度で計測される．計測された圃場面の点群データをもとに作成する圃場面マップの提供することで，利用者は圃場面の起伏を確認しながらリアルタイムで均平作業を行うことが可能になる。

本研究は、現在喜界町中央公民館に保管されている民謡研究者・久保けんおの未発表の遺稿を含む資料集を調査・整理を目的としている。具体的には、資料を分類・整理してデータベースを作成し、公民館のHPで公開するほか、草稿類の分析を通して、採集家のみならず、詩人、教育者、作曲家、編曲家などという久保の多様な活動に光を当ててみたい。
