The Synthesis of the RC network has been made by Guillemin in 1949, but this does not represent the attenuation function explicitly, and the design of RC Network wants some considerations in the function. The auther have given some notes on this function in the Lecture-Meeting in May 1951 at Kyoto: the present paper is the same thing, including the Glass I (parallel T circuit) and the class II of the RC filter, in the sense of Tschebyscheff approximation. On the phase splitting-network with the RC-elements it will be reported in the next paper.

Solutions of problems arising in the field of engineering necessitate the solving of systems of linear simultaneous equations. Systems involving up to three equations can normally be solved quite readily by straight elimination methods. When the number of equations exceeds three, however, the solution is not so simple.An "Analogy Device" for solving simultaneous linear equations is treated in this paper. It utilizes a number of high gain amplifier with multi feed back system. The application of the feed back system always brings about the problem of stable operation. This stability problem has been thoroughly investigated in present paper., 工学の分野において表われる数値計算の問題の内で，困難なものの一つに連立一次方程式の根を求めるものがある。これは未知数の数が3元の辺りまでは筆算によってもある程度容易に求められるのであるが，それ以上未知数の数が増加すると計算に要する時間が加速度的に増してくるので，実際問題として不可能に近いものになってくる。そのために種々の解法機が提案され，製作されてきたが，大別して手動式のものと自動式のものとに分けることが出来る。手動式のものは手動制御によって逐次近似に求める解に近づけて行くものであり，自動式のもの自動制御によって与えられた方程式の満足する平衡点にまで持って行き，解を得ようとするものである。随って自動平衡式では解法機を動作させると自然に窮極の求める解まで行くので，その間に何等人間が干与する必要がなく便利なものであるが，解法機がある条件を満足すると，解は不安定となって定まらない。筆者がここで問題にするのはその点であって，解法機として真空管回路を用いmulti-feed backを行えば自動平衡式の解法機を作ることが出来るが，この際，誤差を少くするために高増幅度の真空管を用いるので，自己発振を起す危険性が多分に出てくる。自己発振を起したのでは解は不安定となって定まらないのである。この点について研究した。

The theoretical solutions cf the stresses in an infinite plate with the hole under uniform loading have been solved in a lot of cases by the numerous researchers, and the stress concentration factor along tbe hole has been well known. But there are many cases, in which the plate is loaded by the bolts, the rivets or the weldings in the vicinity of the hole. Then the stress distribution and the stress concentration factors along the hole are different to the uniform loading. In the previous papers, the stresses in an infinite plate with a circular or an intersected circular hole under two concentrated forces have been reported. This paper contains an exact two dimensional solution in the integral form for the stresses in an infinite plate with two contacted circular holes of equal size under two concentrated forces along the plane on the common tangential line of the holes. The basic stress function representing in the complex variables was transformed in the Fourier integrals using the formulas of the definite integral. A complete stress function in the plate with the hole was constructed in the form, in which a basic stress function was added to the auxiliary one. The curves of stress distribution and the rates of stress concentration were shown., 穴をもつ無限平板が穴の附近にボルト，鋲あるいは熔接等によって，集中力と見なし得る荷重を受ける場合はよく見られるところである。この平板の穴周辺の応力分布および応力集中率を明らかにする事は設計上また弾性学上に有意義であると思う。穴の形が完全円形あるいは円弧群より形成される場合は最も実際的である。著者はさきに1円孔，2円孔あるいは交叉2円孔をもつ無限平板が穴の附近に2集中力を受ける場合について報告をした。本論文はこれらと同様の解法により，接触する同大2円孔をもつ無限平板が共通接線上に穴に対称の位置に向きの反する同大2集中力を受ける場合を取扱った。この穴を有する無限平板が一様引張りを受ける問題は著者の研究がある。穴の形は円円座標によって表わし，複素変数で示された基礎応力関数を複素座標の平打移動と積分式によってフーリエ変換し，境界条件を満たす所要応力関数をフーリエ積分の形に求めた。数値計算により主として円孔周辺主応分布を求めた。

In the former papers, the stresses in an infinite plate with a circular or an intersected circular hole, or two contacted or two separated circular holes of equal radii under two concentrated forces of symmetry in the plate, have been reported. This paper reports a ploblem to determine the stresses in an infinite plate with an intersected or a contacted two circular holes under two concentrated forces in the plate, acting on a center line of the holes. The bipolar or the crowded circular coordinates were used in the solutions, and the basic stress functions were changed to the Fourier integrals. The calculations have been carried out for the values of the stress and the rates of the stress-concentrations, and the results of them have been published on the other paper., 円孔あるいは円弧によって形式された穴をもつ無限板数種について，一様荷重を対象とした従来の研究と異なり，穴の附近に2つの集中力を対称的にうける場合を数理弾性論的に解析し，前の論文に報告をした。本論文はこれに残された問題，すなわち交叉2円孔あるいは接触2円孔のある無限板において，円孔列中心線上に対称な2集中力が作用する場合を取扱ったものである。問題を平面弾性論における応力問題とし，2集中力をもつ無限板の基礎応力関数を複素変数で表わし，これを写像関数によって曲線座標に変換し，さらに適当な積分式を用いてフーリェ積分に変換した。基礎応力関数に附加する補助応力関数は前報と同様の形を用いた。また2次元光弾性実験を行い，円孔周辺主応力分布を求め，無限板としての理論値と比較した。

In this paper, graphs of Cr steel and high Mn steel in high temperature--300℃ 400℃, 5000℃ and 600℃--are treated., 高温切削に於ける被削材の適性に関する問題を研究して行くには，被削材の金属組織の変化や機械的性質等を知ることが必要となってくる。そこで先に報告した軟鋼に関する実験に引続いてこの実験を行い，機械的性質の中の高温に於ける被削材の剪断応力の変化状態を求めた。

These are very imporatnt means for the statistical dse ign of automatic control systems., 近年自動制御系の解析の手法の中へ確率的な考えが取り入れられ注目をうける様になってきた。即ち系に加えられる入力や外乱が確定的な単一画数でなくて不規則な時系列となっている様な場合である。不規則な変化をする入力や外乱の例は航空機に当る突風，複雑な変化をする発電機負荷，制御回路の各部に発生する雑音，レーダー電波の変動など種々のものがあげられるが，本稿で問題にしようとする電源電圧の変動もやはりこれに属するものと考えられる。この様な変化は時間に対する既知の単一函数として表わすことが出来ないし，直接にFourier変換やLaplace変換を施す普通の手段では処理することは出来ないので，これを部分振動に分けて平均の電力の周波数分布即ちスぺクトル密度を求めてこれによって問題を処理するのである。ここでは電源電圧変動の統計的性質即ち相関函数とスペクトル密度を求めたので報告する。

This paper deals with the basic research of a material deformation by hlographic interferometry.For the purpose, simplified models were used. The authors paid attention to the fact that it was impossible to measure at the same time interference fringes of different type localization, and made possible to measure them quantitatively by the check base gauge method.In addition, the explanation about holography is supplemented., 写真などによる強度分布の記録しか可能でなかった光学の分野に，物体から出る光の複素振幅分布を忠実に写真に記録し，それから再生像を作るという画期的な原理が確立され，ホログラフィの名称で研究されつつある。このホログラフィの工学への応用として，ホログラフィ干渉と呼ばれる興味ある分野の実現をもたらした。ホログラフィ干渉は同一物体を透過または反射する波面の時間的な変化を干渉によって求めるのに最も適した方法で，拡散性の物体を用いてその変形の前後の反射波面を干渉させることにより波長程度の変形測定が可能である。この方法は，従来からあるモアレ縞干渉法に比して，微小変形の測定に適しており，物体変形の測定範囲を広げ精度指数も高くなる点で期待されている。本文では初めにホログラフィについての解説を加えた後，物体の自由表面変形を想定し，ホログラフィ干渉についての3次元的変形をモデル化して行なった基礎的な研究報告である。

In the last reports, it had been described that the phenomenon of leakage between contact surfaces was radial, nearly radial and whirl flow, respectively, in the case in which the metal surface was finished by lapping, grinding and lathing.In this paper, the specimens which were finished by the methods of various work were examined by using mild steel. The results obtained can be summarized as follows: (1) The analytical values of equivalent gap were in agreement with the experimental values with deviation about 6%. (2) The characteristic curves of parameters a and b listed in the 2nd report can be applied to mild steel., 管フランジの合わせ面のように，金属接触面問からの流体漏れをできるだけ押えることを必要とする機械要素部品は数多く存在する。その漏れ対策については，古くから多くの研究者によって材料力学的見地からの実験研究が実施され，その結果はDIN ASME規格の制定となり，なお，これらは我国のJIS規格のよりどころともなっている。ただ，これらの研究は接触面を平担な弾性体と仮定し，主として締付部位の形状および締付カ標準などを定めることに重点が置かれているので漏れ防止対策としては有益であるが，漏れ量を定量的に把握するには不十分のように考えられる。この点を考慮するに当って，固体加工表面に必ず存在する表面あらさおうとつ（以下，突出部という）の接触機構の理論解析を行ない，その結果，押付荷重によって変化する接触面間の漏れに対するすきま（以下，相当すきまという）の概念を樹立し，その数値を求める計算式を導いた。本文は，機械装置の接合部位に多く採用されている軟鋼材に対してラップ，研削および旋削の各種加工方法を施行した試料を表面あらさH≈Oの剛体と考えられる基礎盤（材質SKS2焼入れ，Hmax

In this paper, we describe about a hypothetical neural network which can detect the changes of the strength of stimuli. The network is composed of some neuron models which have time delays, spatial summation, and firing thrseholds., 生物の神経系は数多くの神経細胞から成っており，とりわけ脳においてはこれらが複雑にからみあい，知覚という非常に重要な情報処理が行なわれている。神経細胞自体はきわめて単純な機能しかそなえていないが，われわれ人間のような高度な知的活動をおこなうことができるのは，ほかならぬこの単純な神経細胞の組み合わせ，いわゆる回路に帰因するのである。このことはある知的活動を理解することは即，神経系各部の神経回路の構造を明らかにし，その結合の網を解いてゆくことにより神経集団としての神経系の機能を把握することになるのである。神経回路の構造を明らかにしていく上において，実際の脳について組織学的に調べることはその複雑さと，生体を対象とする研究がすべて直面する，生命活動を維持させ続けながら特性を把握せねばならないという困難さのため容易ではないと思われる。しかしながら，生体から分離された神経細胞単体の特性についてはHodgkinらの研究によってかなり明らかになっているので，その神経細胞がそなえている電気的活動性をモデル化した神経細胞モデルを用いて，生理学的な神経応答を示す際の神経回路の構造を推定しようという試みがなされてきている。本研究では特に，生物が感覚受容器で受け入れた刺激の強さが変化した時，その変化を検知できる，いわゆる微分的な機能をもつことに注目し，神経細胞モデルを用いてこの機能を実現できる神経回路網を構成しようとするものである。この場合，実際の知覚神経系では入力は周波数変調波として与えられ，刺激の強さに関する情報はパルス間隔の大小で与えられるので，このパルス間隔の大きさに変化がみられた時，その変化を示すパルスが出力として得られるよう回路を構成する。

In delta modulation as well as PCM it is able to develope its S/N ratio by introducing the method of the companding.In this paper we discribe about the useflness of the amplitude weighting coefficient {1,1,2,4,9,・・・,9} which we proposed. This coefficient is especially superior to in both the noise characteristic and the following characteristic operating by the high frequecy input., ティジタル通信の代表的なものとして，パルス符号変調（pulse code modulation;以下PCMと略記）とデルタ変調（delta modulation;以下ΔMと略記）の二つをあげることができる。PCMは入力信号の符号化の過程において，量子化された各標本値の大きさに応じてnビット（例えば8ピット）のパルスを割り当て，変調系を構成する。これに対しΔMは連続する二つの標本値の差に1ビットのパルスを割り当てて変調系を構成するもので，PCMに比べ標本化周波数f_sが高くなる欠点があるが，変調器が著しく簡単となる利点がある。PCMでは量子化の過程で圧伸を行なうことによってS/N比の改善を行なっているが，ΔMにおいてもその様な圧伸を導入することにより，TV画像信号伝送の分野において，PCM方式に匹敵する性能の向上をはかってきた。圧伸の方法に瞬時圧伸を用いた圧伸1ピットΔM方式は，入力信号の変化の大きさに応じてステップサイズΔを変え，低周波入力時のgranular（量子化）雑音並びに高周波入力時のslope overload（勾配過負荷）雑音を軽減する目的で考え出された方式で，その振幅荷重係数{U_1，U_2，......，U_n}としては，安定性の立場から U_i≤^^^_U_j.......① を満たすものが望ましく，この条件のもとで{1,1,2,3,5,......5}（係数II）の方式が最も有効あることが報告されている。しかしながら高周波入力時のslope overload雑音特性を改善する見地からは，最大量子化ステップU_(=U_n)をできるだけ大きくすることが望ましく，著者等は振幅荷量係数{1,1,2,4,9,1.....,9}（係数I）の方式を考えた。この方式は安定条件式①を満たさず不安定性が懸念されるが，その不安定機構を解明した結果，不安定な振動を生ずることは極めてまれで，実用上ほとんど問題がないことが分かった。そこで実験装置を試作し，上記二つの方式の比較を中心に種々の実験・検討を行なったので，その結果をここに報告する。

In order to study transport phenomena between solid and liquid, the electrochemical method is frequently used. This makes it possible to measure not only the average value but also the local value of mass transfer coefficient and of shearing stress at a liquid-solid interface. From the limiting current density at the cathode, the transfer rate of mass or momentum can be calculated. The mass transfer obtained by this method can be correlated with heat transfer by the analogy between both transport phenomena.In this paper, glass rodes 10mm. and 15mm. in diameter are used as turbulence promotors on the wall surface of a duct (100 X 30mm.). The average transfer coefficients on the wall surface without and with turbulence promotor are obtained by the electrochemical method. Maximum ratios for both promotors occur at a pitch to height ratio (P/D_p) of about 7, and transition region Reynold's no. of about 3,000. Though friction factors depend on height ratio and Reynold's no., they increase more than 10 times., 伝熱係数の増進は工業用水の不足対策，高温高熱流束の熱除去あるいはコンパクト熱交換器の設計等において重要視すべき課題である。流路内の伝熱係数を増進させるには強制的に乱流強度を大きくし境膜を薄くすればよく，そのために流路内にタービュレンスプロモーター（乱流促進体）の設置がしばしば考えられる。タービュレンスプロモーターには，1.流路内の主流中にねじり板あるいはらせん板を設置して主流を旋回させるもの 2.主流中に物体（格子，網など）を設置して主流を撹乱させるもの 3.伝熱面を粗面にしたり，突起物あるいはみぞを設置して境界層を撹乱させるものなどがある。これらのタービュレンスプロモーターを用いた伝熱に関する報告は数多くあるが，流体としては空気の場合が大部分を占めている。これは，空気の熱伝達率が小さく伝熱面積が大きくなるのでその改良のために考え出されたからである。ところが高温高熱流束の除熱には空気は不向きであり，実用的には効率等の観点から液体の使用が望ましく，本研究では流体として液体を用い，タービュレンスプロモーターによる影響を調べる。液体にはアルカリ電解液を用い，伝熱実験より精度の高い電気化学的方法により物質移動係数を求め，アナロジーより伝熱係数を求める方法をとった。タービュレンスプロモーターには主流方向と直角に丸棒をおき，流路底面の境界層を撹乱させる方法を選んだ。そのピッチ，高さ，径等による伝熱係数に与える影響を調べた。また，その時の摩擦損失をも調べた。

The graphical computation on the desiglling of the plant for the industrial waste and sewage disposal with the thickner, the oliver filter and the rotary dryer, is described in this paper., 最近工場における廃水廃液，都市の下水し尿処理問題が大きく叫ばれ，一方河川の水質保全に関する諾対策が講ぜられつつあることは衛生の見地より誠に喜ばしきことである。これらの処理方法は処理物質の性状に即応して適当な処理方法を採用すべきであるがこれを分類すると，物理的方法，化学的方法，並びに生物的方法に大別される。何れの方法によるもこれらの処理設備プラントの適切なる設計計画が望ましいものである。筆者等は図らずもこれらの処理についての計画面に参与する機会を得たのでこれらの問題につき若干調査研究することができた。茲では一つの他学処理方式として薬剤添加，沈降分離，濾過，乾燥，消毒，中和，放流という一つのプラントの設計について図式的に考察したところを述べることにしたい。各個々の操作については実験資料を得た上で考察することにし次の機会に報告することにしたい。

The transfer function of dead time is as is well known given by exponential function. When this exists in automatic control system, the theoretical treatment becomes very difficult. Therefore, this is expanded in rational series function and cut off by several terms. In this paper, the behaviors of these approximate transfer functions are verified theoretically and experimentally (using electronic analog computer)., 近似伝達関数についての周波数領域での検討の結果はすでに『富山大学工学部紀要』第13巻第1，2号で発表ずみである。したがって，今回は時間領域での解析を試みる。

Considering the effects of the magnetic saturration caused by the load current, current diagram methods for calculating charaeteristics of the ordinary squrrel-cage and that of the special squrrel-cage induction motors were established, and reported already. But it was impossible to apply them for the case of the deep-slot squrrel-cage induction motors with the slot-depth larger than 2 cm, because, in this case, the locus of the locked equivalent winding impeadamce phasor was not reprensented exactlly. Using Dr. M. Norman's theory, we could established the current diiagram method which was appropriative for this case. So, in this paper we report the new method that was devised for practical use. Moreover, it would be noted that this new method has higher accuracy than the conventional method by making a connparison between the results obtained by each of them., 先に負荷電流による磁気飽和の影響を考慮した誘導電動機の動特性算定電流線図を普通かご形と特殊かご形誘導電動機の場合について設定したが，スロット深さ2cmをこえるものは未設定である。これはこの場合の拘束等価巻線インピーダンスベクトル軌跡を正確に決定できなかったからである。この理由から，Norman氏の方法を用いてこの軌跡を考察し，負荷電流による磁気飽和の影響を考慮した深みぞかご形誘導電動機の特性算定電流線図法を設定するとともに，さらに実用化を目的として簡易電流線図法を設定した結果，簡易法にもかかわらず現行法に比べて非常に精度が高く，かつ，きわめて簡単な手法であることから従来の頻雑な方法から解放されて有効に使用できることを知ったので報告する。

This paper shows the method which decides a size of short time running duty induction motor from continuous running one which is same capacity, and shows there must be size reduction limit to keep the maximum-torque required., 誘導電動機（以下，IMと略記する）の設計について多くの文献が発表されているが，いずれも連続定格IMを対象としており，短時間定格IMに関するものは温度上昇特性を概念的に述べたものが多く，具体的に設計資料となる研究発表はない。その意味に於て連続定格機より短時間定格の理由で体格を縮少した場合，定格時間と体格縮少可能割合及び縮少限界を求めてみた。

The dangerous fire hazard, which is considerd by the ignition of the spark discharge of the static electricity in the treatment of the flamable liquid as gasoline and benzol etc, was reported, frequently. This paper studies the static electrification phenomena of the transformer oil which is circulated by the gear pump through the filter press, as the fundamental research on the electrification by the fluid friction., 周知の如く可燃性の非電導性固体，粉体，液体はその生産又は処理工程において静電気が発生し，種々の障害を惹起し又放電火花による引火災害所謂Mysterious fireが多くなる傾向がある。筆者はかつて〓（土へんに圭）化石灰粉を中心として各種粉体の摩擦帯電現象について実験し，帯電による爆発の可能性は充分起りうるという結論を得た。液体については，この種原因と認められている公知のものには，25年3月九州某工場でベンゾールタンクにベンゾールを圧送作業中におけるタンクの爆発，28年8月静岡市某ガソリンスタンドでドラム缶からガソリンを地下タンクに補給作業中の引火災害，29年11月浜松市某ガソリンスタンドでピニールホースによるガソリン補給中の引火火災，又34年5月勝山市某ガソリンスタンドでタンクローレイより地下タンクに給油中の引火火災等があり，小被害を加えると相当頻出していると指定され近時可燃性液体の処理工程の量産と普及に伴い，この種放電火花による災害が益々多くなる傾向がある。液体が流動する際，その比抵抗が10^Ωcm以上では帯電するが，10^9Ωcmでは漏洩のため帯電は認められないと云われるので，本実験に用いた液体にはガソリン，ベンゾールの如き可燃性液体は引火の危険があるので，便宜上変圧器油を用い，給油装置として加圧式濾過機を使用し，その流動摩擦による帯電現象を究明する第一歩として行った実験で，本報告はその測定の経過概要である。

This paper reports some ferroelectric domain patterns of triglycine suJfate obtained by utilizing a scanning electron microscope. Covering the crystal surface with gold of 20--30Å in mean thickness by vacuum evaporation, clear secondary electron images showing ferroelectric domains were obtained. It is supposed that some parts of the electric and thermal currents flow in the ev aporated gold, and protect the specimen from the charge-up and destruction. It has been found that, annealing the crystal above the Curie point, the lenticular domain structure changed into the fine lamellar one., 強誘電体の分域（ドメイン）を観察する一般的方法として，これまでエッチング法，帯電粒子法（コロイド法・装飾法・露j商法），偏光顕微鏡や電子顕微鏡による方法，さらにはX線回析顕微法等多くの報告がなされている。これらの方法にはそれぞれ一長一短があり，また強誘電体の種類によっては使用不可能なものもある。例えばここでとりあげた硫酸グリシン(TGS)の場合，逆方向を向いた分域のそれぞれの光学的弾性軸が一致するので偏光顕微鏡による観察は不可能である。また薄膜を作製するのが困難であるため透過型電子顕微鏡による方法もまず不可能と思われる。一般的にいってエッチング法及ぴ帯電粒子法は静的な分域構造を示すにすぎず，何らかの外部因子の変化に対する分域の動的なふるまいをこれらの方法で得ることは極めて困難である。以上のような方法に加えて新しい方法として注目されているのが，エレクトロンミラーマイクロスコープ(EMM)及び走査型電子顕微鏡(SEM)による分域の観察である。これらはいずれも試料表面に電子線を照射し，表面電位による応答から分域構造を得ようとするものである。このうち走査型電子顕微鏡によるこれまでの報告例は，W0_3，BaTiO_3，SbSI及びTGSに対してBihanらによって行なわれたものである。彼らの報告では，走査型電子顕微鏡による分域観察の利点として，(1).分解能がかなり高い。 (2).被写体深度が深い。 (3).動的な分域のふるまいを観測できる可能性がある。 をあげている。しかし，SbSIやWO_3等のように比較的電気伝導度の高い物質に対しては極めて良い結果が得られているが，TGSのように電気伝導度が非常に小さく，しかも電子線照射によって破壊されやすい物質に対して安定で鮮明なdomain patternを得ることはかなり困難である。もちろん加速電庄をできるだけ低くしプロープ電流もできるだけ小さくすることによって像を得ることは可能であるが，結局は試料表面に電荷が蓄積するので像が安定でない。筆者は，TGS表面に金を薄く真空蒸着することによってこれらの難点をある程度克服し，かなり安定で鮮明な像を得ることができたのでそのいくつかを報告する。そしてアニーリングによる分域構造の変化についても簡単に報告する。

Development of electrostatic charges in tanks in which non-conductive liquids such as hydro-carbons are supplied or stirred is widely recognized as a serious hazard. In this paper the tendency of accumlation and attenuation of charges in an oil tank earthed or insulated has been described theoretically by electrical potential of an electrode in the oil in the tank to a certa in degree. In the case of an oil tank earthed, this is shown by the time constant of the oil and the electrode circuit in the oil. In the case of an oil tank insulated, this is shown by the time constant of the oil, the electrode circuit in the oil and the oil tank., 既報したように注油中における油槽に対し当然予期される静電気災害の防止対策としてはある程度の研究と防災が行われているが充分とは言い得ない現状である。しかしこの種の研究に対し漸くG.Schonは理論的な指針を，W.M.Bustinらはその実験的なうら付を次式で与えた。石油系のような比抵抗の極めて高い油のパイパ輸送においては，パイプライン中に生ずる電荷割合，所謂流動電流II=TKV^(I-e^) (1) ただしT:油の時定数=εp（p:油の比抵抗，ε=ε_0ε_s:油の誘電率），K:パイプの直径および油との界面によって定まる係数，V:油の流速，L:パイプの長さである。これらの事実に関連して筆者は既にトランス油，軽油およびガソリンにつき，濾過の有無，流速または油温を変化せしめての給油工程に生ずる流動電流Iを絶縁油槽に流入して，その油槽の流入帯電による静電現象を油槽の電位で測定し，それ等の帯電傾向におよぼす影響を比較報告した。本報告は(1)式で流入帯電せしめた油槽に関し，既報の基礎的考察を補足展開し，とくに油中電極を用いての電位測定方式による油槽中における電荷の蓄積または減衰過程に対する影響に関する理論的考察である。

The theory of automatic control is concerned exclusively with the flow of control signal, and is neglected how the energy flow in the control system elements ís taken place. However, according as the progress of Automation-Technique, the design method becomes more and more exact and severe, and we have to evaluate the data of system elements at the limit of allowable power flow. This paper is intended to contribute in these points., 自動制御の技術が各方面に行きわたってくるにつれてサーボ機構の利用される分野も急速に拡大されてきた。生産工業を大きく二種類に分けてプロセス制御とサーボ機構に分類することが出来るが，これは対照的な立場にあるものと考えるととが出来る。即ち原料にエネルギーを加えてわれわれに有用なものを作る過程を調べてみると質の変化（物質を生産する過程）をするものと形の変化（物体を生産する過程）をするものとがある。プロセス制御は前者であって原料の流れる環境条件の支配によって質の変化を目的とするものである。これに対してサーボ機構は機械的の位置（正確に言えば変位と角度）を制御することによって製品の形に関係するものであるという事が出来る。さてサーボ機構をある目的のために用いようとする時に先づ始めに起る問題はサーボモーターに要求されるパワーの見積りである。所がサーボ理論というのは制御系の中の信号の流れという点のみに着目して体系化された斑論であって各要素やブロックにおけるエネルギーのレベルがどうなっているとかパワーの見積りや又その授受がどうなっているかという事には深く立ち入っておらない。しかしながら設計上の立場から見るとこれでは片手落ちであって信号の流れに注目すると同様にパワーの見積り或いはその授受という点にも考慮を払って始めて完全なものという事が出来る。サーボ機構では機器のエネルギーレベル及び動作の安定性という見地からパワーが最も問題になるのはサーボモーターである。サーボモーターが出すパワー，外部の負荷がとるパワー及び駆動に要するパワーが問題になってくるのである。この稿ではこの様な観点からサーボモータとして現在各方面において最も多く使用されている2相電動機に例をとってステップ入力信号に対するパワーの見積り及び授受について調べたものである。

The authors summarized the various papers on the inoculation of cast iron, published duriong the last several years. And researched on the effects of the moculants to the tensile strength of the cast iron. The authors used Fe-Ti, Al-Ti, Zn, Cu-Zn, Fe-Zr and Fe-V, etc., for the complex to Ca-Si, and investigated the effectable inoculant's percent to the various carbon contents of the iron. And recognized from the obtained results that it may be possible to get the high tensile strength cast iron that is over 40 kg/㎟m by the inoculation only, and to reach near the value of the ductile cast iron., 接種とは熔湯に金属又は合金化合物などをLadle又は樋などに於て適当な方法によってLate additionすることであって，相当前から行われているがまだ機構の内容も明確にされておらず，実際的にも多くの問題が残されているように考えられる。接種に関する論文も球状黒鉛に関する論文程数多く発表されておらず，纏ったものも少いので，戦後から最近迄のこの方面の文献を一応纏めて一括した項目に分類してみることにした。併せて著者等の所で今迄行った実験の中で数種のInoculantを使用して試料を作製しその機械的性質を調べた結果について報告する。

It was shown in the previous papers that the electro-solution voltage of each metal might be closely correlated to the induction or the rate of the reaction between various metals and benzyl chloride. Futher-more inhibiting or promoting action of some reagents for the reaction between aluminum partic1es and benzyl chloride was reported as an attempt to checking the solvent effect of these reagents on the reaction catalyzed by aluminum chloride. Now using similar additives the reaction between iron powder and benzyl chloride is studied from the same stand-point as is stated above. The result obtained is as follows: (1) Mercaptans, amines and amides showed strong inhibiting action, and alcohols showed moderate inhibiting action, whereas most of phenols, nitrobenzene and aluminum triphenolate showed remarkable promoting action. (2) It is shown that the form of curve representing the inhibiting or promoting effect is deservedly changed with the variety of the additives and also inf1uenced with temperature in cosiderable extent. (3) The promoting effect of nitrobenzene reinforced our suggestion for the presence of suitable range of electric conductivity over which the intermediate complex in the system of catalytic reaction with metallic halide is activated by the ionization or polarization of that in desirable degree. (4) One presumption is offered for the explanation of the promoting action of phenols ascribing to the formation of metallic phenolates as the intermediate of the reaction., 著者らはハロゲン化ベンジルと各種の金属との反応についてその進行が金属の電溶圧と密接な関連があることを第1報および第3報において報告したが，後者においてはアルミニウム粒と塩化ベンジルとの反応に対する種々の添加物の影響についてそれらの阻害あるいは促進の様相を塩化アルミニウム触媒反応に対する広い意味の溶媒効果の検討を含めて行なったものである。本報では鉄粉と塩化ベンジルとの反応について略類似の添加物類を使用して同じ立場からの研究を進めたものである。

When the frequency characteristics of a telephone receiver are measured with mechanical impact to this object, we have to know characters of this impact, that is, contact time, maximum contact pressure, and reflected direction after impact. For this purpose, non linear integral equation must be solved. In this paper the solution with the digital computer is shown., 通信機器の中で機械的な衝撃を利用する機器が多いがその中で電気音響機器の周波数特性の良否を判定する方法の1つとして，受話器などの振動板に剛球を衝突せしめる方法がある。この場合機械的に与えられた剛球の運動量変化が果して理想的な衝撃であるか否か判定しなければならない。本文は前報告に基づいて，Hertz的な局部変位が存在する時の衝撃機構を考える。この場合非線型積分方程式となるが，この計算を電子計算機で行ったので結果を報告したいと思う。

The mixing resistance in this mixer is function of physical property of material, condition of motion of mixing particles and etc, therefore generally estimation of this amount of resistance by theoretical method is so difficult. But in the case of mixing in which material has negligible small shearing resistance for so called mixing deformation, this mixing resistance is mainlg a affected by condition of motion -- no of revolution of mixing blade. In this paper author presented theoretical formula for estimation of turning torque for mixer blade, which based on the frictional resistance of mixing mateical for mixer-trough bottom and working surface of blade, then checked by experimental method. Results from this study shows; ratio of calculated value to measured one equal to n/100, n=no of revolution of mixing blade; therefore this calculated formula Can be practically applied for critical range of R.P.M. of mixer., 向い流れ螺旋混合機における混合抵抗，従って撓板にかかる回転モーメントは、混合物の物理的性状並びに混合物の運動の状態によって異るものであろう。若し混合物として混合変形に対する抵抗の少ないものを選ぶときは，主として撓板の回転数の大小による混合物の運動の状態の差異によって，回転モーメントは広範囲に亘って変化することが期待される。混合抵抗として考えられるものは； 1) 混合機樋の底板に及ぼす被混合材の摩擦抵抗2) 撓板の作動面とその側縁面に及ぼす被混合材の摩擦抵抗3) 相隣る被混合材の粒子が撓板の作用を受けて，相互に辷り移動変位するに際しての抵抗4) 被混合材は先ずその屑中に喰い込んで来る撓板によって，加速披動されるが，この加速に対する慣性抵抗5) 向い側の軸にある撓板により推動される被混合材が手前の軸の撓板に及ぼす推動抵抗 等であろう。これ等の抵抗の中で，混合変形による抵抗は被混合材粒子が比較的流動し易い場合には余り大きな値を示さず， 而も撓板の回転数の大小には余り関係せず，加速に対する慣性抵抗と向い側の撓板による拙動粒子への反作用的抵抗とは回転数の函数として変動する値を示すものと察しられる。従って，ある回転数の範囲においては，被混合材の樋底板面及び撓板作動面に及ぼす摩擦抵抗が全混合抵抗中の大部を占める場合のあることが予想される。この予想を前提として，上述の摩擦抵抗を理論的に求め，比較的粘性の低い液体を加えた変形流動の困難でない疎らな混合材について，撓板にかかる回転モーメントを実験的に計り，両者を比較して見ることとした。この様なことの実験的証明は例が余りないと考えられる。

This paper presents an exact solution for the stresses in a disk acting two concentrated forces on a circular hole. The polar coordinates were used for the disk with a concentric circular hole and the bipolar coordinates were used for the one with an eccentric circular hole. The basic stress functions were expanded in the Fourier series by means of parallel movements of the complex coordinates. A complete stress function in the disk with a hole was constituted in a form, in which a basic stress function was added to the auxiliary one., 1円孔を有する円板において，円孔縁に釣合った集中荷重が作用する問題は機械部品によく見られるところである。本報告は同心あるいは偏心する1円孔縁に円板に対称の位置に2集中力が作用する場合を平面応力問題として取り扱い，主として円孔縁の主応力分布について考察をした。理論解は複素変数であらわした基礎応力関数を複素座標の平行移動によって曲線座標に変換し，級数の形にあらわした。

The volumetric efficiency of internal combustion engines includes many factors mutually complex. Hence, it is very difficult to express that by the description of chemical and physical terms. Especially, the initial compression temperature T^B, which gives important light on questions of charge density or volumetric efficiency, will be gained only by the experiment, that one greatest difficulty is the problem of non-homogeneity of the cylinder charge. There is described a theoretical discussion on the volumetric efficiency in this papers, and factors included there-in have been qualitatively descussed in comparison with the thesisses having already been published. This discussion has revealed the following. (1) The temperature Tw of the cylinder wall on gas side must, if possible, be measured at any constant state in which difficult the temperature of jacket water at least must be constant. (2) At high speed engines the values calculated by the experiment may be compared with under the equal conditions of the charge temperature Ts, on the contrary, of the temperature Tw at low speed engines. (3) The volumetric efficiency of idling at high speed diesel engines may be in estimation, but gasoline engines or low speed diesel engines must be tested on loading., 内燃機関（以下単に機関という）の給気吸込能力を表わす尺度としての体積効率は複雑な要素を含んでおり，実状に適合した物理化学的因子を用いて数式をたてる事が仲々困難である。その為かどうかは知らぬが，内容的に類似の性質をもつ充てん効率等との混同が文献或は著書等に偶々見受ける。機関のシリンダ内ガスの状態変化並ガス交換に影響を及ぼす因子は複雑多岐に互る為，実際の現象を数式で明示するのは非常にむつかしく，従って理論式は幾多の前提条件の上に成立するので定量的には勿論時としては定性的にもこれを論義するのが無意味のように思はれる事さえある。然しながら体積効率の意味する内容は機関の性能特にその出力に大きな影響をもつ。本文は機関の体積効率に関し一つの理論式を提出し併せて数式中の各因子の体積効率に及ぼす影響を定性的に論じた。

Retarding action of many sorts of inhibitors on the reaction between aluminum particles and carbon tetrachloride was reported in the previous many papers. Now the similar studies using various metallic diisopropyl salicylate which may ionize in the organic solvent are carried out, and further-more solvent effects of ligroin, decalin, tetralin and methylcyclohexane are checked. The outline of results may be summarized in the following: (1) Various metallic diisopropyl salicylate having ionizing ability in the organic solvent prolonged the induction period, and some relation between the critical concentration of the induction period and the specific conductivity was showed this reaction, therefore, was presumed appreciably different from the radical reaction suggested by M.Stern. (2) In solvent effects of three solvents excepting tetralin, the induction period is shortened with a narrow range having the small quantity, but is prolonged with the quantity beyond that range. (3) The order of prolonged induction period with mixed inhibitors in these solvents may be classified into two groups, that is, the order of methylclohexane is normal, whereas the order of ligroin or decaline is inverse. It seems that this order associated the adaptability of Al ion concentration from AlCl_3 complex of respective stability., アルミニウム粒と四塩化炭素との反応について，各種の阻害剤の添加効果に対する研究を従来浅間らが多数の報告を行って来ている。本報ではこれらに関連して，有機溶媒中で電離性のあるジイソプロピルサリチル酸の各種金属塩類（以下本稿中ではDips塩類と略記する）の添加による阻害作用と溶媒としてリグロイン，デカリン，メチルシクロヘキサン，テトラリンを添加した場合の反応誘導期におよぼす影響について行ったものである。

Because the circle diagram method (JEC-37-1961) being used now, is using Z_so which has been presumed by proportional method from the results of Rock-test in rated frequency and 1/2-rated frequency, the characteristics of deep-slot-squirrel-cage induction motor which is calculated by this method (JEC-37-1961), has some errors. This paper shows these errors which are made theoretically. As results, the writer has known that these errors are negligiblly small in the scope whose depth of slot is under two centimeter, but are very large in the scope whose depth of slot is over two centimeter. In the scope whose depth of slot is over two centimeter, maximum torque and power factor and slip are calculated in larger values than in true ones, and efficiency and rated current are calculated in smaller values than true ones. And the error in the maximum torque is paticularly large., 現在深溝かご形誘導電動機の特性算定に特殊円線図手法を用いているが，これはZ_{SO}を比例推定によって求めるもので，一般に最大値特性が実測値より大きくなって求まる傾向があるといわれている。筆者はこの点に着目し理論上比例推定法によって特性算定を行なうと定格周波数が商用周波数の場合に算出された特性にどのような誤差を伴なうのか明らかにしてみた。この結果，溝深さ約2cm近辺に誤差の正負変位点があり，2cm以下では真値に比べて最大トルク，力率，滑りは小さく，定格電流，効率は大きくなって求まり，2cm以上の範囲に於ては逆に最大トルク，力率，滑りは真値より大きく，定格電流，効率は小さくなって求まることがわかった。また，これ等の誤差は溝深さ2cm以下の範囲では無視できる程小さいが，溝深さ2cmを超える範囲では溝深さが大きくなればなる程大で無視することはできない。またこの誤差は最大トルク特性に於て特に著しくあらわれかなり大きな値となることがわかった。この問題は重慣性負荷用電動機の特性算定に重要な役割をはたすものと思われ，また電動力応用上参考になると考えられるのでここに報告する。

In the preceding paper it was shown that considerably available results had been obtained by the addition of many sorts of metals or inorganic salts to the AlCl_3 or FeCl_3 as the catalyst for the reactions, such as the ketone synthesis, the polymerization of olefins etc. Now the similar studies on the reactions which take up on the head are carried out. The results obtained are given in following summaries. (1) Effects of 11 sorts of metals and 7 sorts of inorganic salts are studied for the isomerization of α-bromonaphthalene or butylnaphthalene to β-compounds and the polymerization of cyclohexene or dodecene with TaCl_5 (2) Many sorts of metals and inorganic salts gave the positive effects. (3) In the case of the isomerization of butylnaphthalene to β-derivertive, the order of effect became just reverse to that for the disproportionation of butylnaphthalene with AlCl_3. (4) The difference between the order of effects obtained for the isomerizetion of α-bromonaphthalne to β-compound with TaCl_5 and that for the same reaction with AlCl_3 and FeCl_3 in the lene to β-compound with TaCl_5 and that for the same reaction with AlCl_3 and FeCl_3 in the previous reports were checked. (5) The optimum quantiy in respective substance required to enhance the polymerization of olefins with TaCl_5 was nearly equal to that for the other reactions in the preceding reports., 無水塩化アルミニウム系触媒に金属類または無機塩類などの他物質を添加して種々の反応を行なった際の効果に関する研究については，すでに報告してきている。本報は無水五塩化タンタルを触媒とした際の添加物の効果を掲題の反応について検討したものである。

To solve the Non-steady heat counduction problems, we must know the temperature diffusivity a defined α = λ/Cϒ, where λ thermal conductivity, C specific heat and γ specific weight of solids. Experimental methods for temperature diffusivity are numerous, but periodic heatíng method are fitting for determination of diffusivity of the earth. In the present paper, the auhers tried experimentally to determine the temperature diffusivity of the earth by the periodic heating method., 非定常状態を数値的に解析する場合温度伝導率α[㎡/h]の値を知る必要があり，この値は，物体内温度波の伝播速度を規定するもので，熱伝導率λ，比重量γおよび比熱Cとの間には，α=λ/Cγの関係がある。著者等は土壊の伝熱問題の解析のため，その温度伝導率を知る必要にせまられ種々の測定方法の中から週期的加熱法を選び測定を行ったのでここに報告する。

In the previous paper, about 10% increase of yields were shown by the addition of many sorts of metals, alloys and inorganic salts to the FeCl_3 a catalyst for the two kinds of the reaction of ketone-synthesis. Now the similar studies on the polymerization of olefins are carried out using AlCl_3 or FeCl_3 catalyst accompanied with various metals or inorganic salts, because these reactions are known to have the mechanism followed by the way of addition with HCl, but not produce HCl as the byproduct differing from the reaction of ketone-synthesis. The results obtained are given in the following summary. (I) Effects of the 13 sorts of metals and 6 sorts of inorganic salts are studied for the polymerization of 3 sorts of olefins i.e. cetene, dodecene and cyclohexene with AlCl_3 or FeCl_3. (II) Many sorts of metals and inorganic salts gave the positive effects, but others of these substance gave the negative effects. (III) These results roughly resembled with the outline for the effect of various metals and inorganic salts in the previous report., 前報に於てはケトン合成反応の際の触媒としての無水塩化鉄に各種金属，合金類並びに塩類等を添加した際の添加効果について研究し，金属にも，合金にも，無機塩類にもそのケトン収率を10%以上増加するものが相当数ある事を明かにした。またこれに先だって『無水塩化アルミニウム触媒に対する他物質添加の影響（第1報）』として「ケトン台成反応の際の鉄或はアルミニウムの添加効果について」なる本研究の予報に相当する研究を行い，粉状の無水塩化アルミニウムに対して鉄或はアルミニウムを添加する際に1O～15%の収率の向上する事を認めている。本報に於ては塩化水素が反応機構に関与するが，それの副生をしないと云う点に於てケトン合成の場合と様相を異にするオレフィン類の重合反応を選び，類似の研究を行ったものである。

A method is shown in the text book of transient phenomenon published by the Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan. But considered pricisely this method is wrong. A correct method is shown in this paper., 過渡現象論にラプラス変換というのがある。これは相当難解なので，教科書の記載も不完全であり，又誤りの箇所もある。本稿で述べるのはこの一例である。単位函数は実積分で表示することもでき又複素積分で表示することもできる。従って複素積分表示から実積分表示を導くことができるはずである。

In order to research the natural coalification process, studies on composition and on artificial coalification of the wood in the Submerged Forest at Uozu and carried out by the author in recnt years. In this article, the geological process of the Subrrerged Forest was discussed from author's standpoint with reviewing, the geological papers ever published on the problem. From hemical composition of the Submerged Wood, it was proved that there was no the great difference of composition between the Submerged Wood and the present wood and only slight coalification of the Submerged Wood being in the early first biochemical stage of peat formation could be find. The absolute age determination of the piece of the Submerged Wood by the radio acctivity measurement of ^C was carried out with result of 1960^+_-70 B. P. years,as the earthenware of late Jyomonian period was excavated on the bottom of peat layer at the Submerged Forest. The Submerged Forest eseems to have been formed at comparatively recen geological age. Various opinions were presented on the formation of the Submerged Forest, such as the subsidence of the ground by block movement, change of the sea level, marine transgression, development of coastal sand dune, coast erosion and relative subsidence of the ground to the sea level. The author's conclcsicn is as follows. During the middle and the late Jyomonian period the primeval forest of Cryptomeria japonica grew thickly on the fan of the Katagai River, During the latest Jyomonian period and Yayoian period, by growing of the coastal sand dune and the relative subsidence of the ground (or the raise of the sea level), the region of the primeval forest tumed into the region of the back marsh of the coastal sand dune and the peat layer was formed and so the region was covered with mud and sand from the river and particularly by river flooding of the river. Then, the coastal sand dune migrated into inner land and at last disappeared by the coast erosion until the Submerged Forest exposed on the present shore line., 著者は富山県魚津埋没林の埋没材を用いて石炭化行程に関する若干の詰完を行って来た。本報では地質学的にどのようにして魚津埋没林が生成したかについての過去の多くの研究を比較し，更に著者の得た結果を加えて論説した。

As the ordinary st roboscopes utilize the neon lamp or the mercury discharge tube, the stroboscope with the fluorescent lamp is studied in this paper. I experimented the stroboscope lighted by the alternating current whose wave form is sinusoidal, rectangular and pulse. The lamp is most bright when it is lighted by the pulse, moreover the contrast of the stroboscope image is sharpest in this case., 従来ストロボスコープの光源としてはネオン放電管，或は水銀放電管等が利用されているが明るさの点に於てけい光灯の方が優れているので，けい光灯を利用したストロボスコープの実験を行ったので，その結果について報告する。けい光灯の電源としてはCR発振器，微分回路，増幅器を組合せて用い一般照明用のFL-10Wのけい光灯を点灯した。波形は正弦波，短形波，パルスの三つについて実験したが，明るさの点ストロボ像の鮮明度の点でパルスが最も適している。しかしけい光灯の残光性のためにパルスを用いた場合でも像はいく分ぼやけるものである。

Many studies on the utilization of polyphosphates in food processing industry and some chemical industry were carried out in the authors' laboratory, but only few papers are published. Among them there is an interesting and applicable study referring to the influence of various phosphates on the viscosity of aqueous solution containing high molecular substance. And thematic studies are now reported. The outline of results is summarized briefly in the following. (I) Effects of 5 sorts of phosphates on the about 6.0% gum tragacanth solution are studied and the remarkable increase of their viscosity are observed. (II) Due to the gum tragacanth has branched macromolecular chains and behave as negative colloid in the solution, the origins of marked increase of viscosity are probably ascribed to the change of pH and the adsorption of phosphate ion by the dispersed particles., 著者等は重合燐酸塩類の食品工業を含めての各方面への利用のための研究をして来ているが，高分子物質の水溶液の粘度への影響に興味を持ち，各種の実験を行ったのでその中から捺染用基糊に使用されたりアイスクリームの如き冷菓などヘの広い用途を有するトラガントゴム水溶液について報告するものである。

It has been found out that the neon transformer sometimes overheats,when it is shortcircuited and the discharge occurs in air between the secondary lines. This paper reports the experiments that have been carried out to reserch the causes of this overheat accident. As the results of these experiments,interesting phenomena were found. That is,the primary and the secondary current(rms) increases abnormally when the wind blows through the discharging air gap,and it follows from this that the temperature of winding also rises abnormally. we are convinced this report offers some useful data to the protection and the designing of the neon transformer., ネオン照明などに使用されているネオン変圧器が二次回路の断線事故，その他の負荷の損傷により大気中で放電を生じている場合に，このネオン変圧器が焼損するという報告をうけた。われわれはこの事故の原因を究明するため実験を行なったところ，放電電極間に微風があたると一次および二次電流(rms)が異常に増加し，さらに，巻線温度が二次回路短絡のときよりもかなり高くなるという現象を確認したので報告する。

Deducing from that the throwing-off mofion of the materials in a bucket of the buckct elevator is similar to the motion of parallelogram links, we considered the graphical representation on these motions. In such case the condition oÍ these motions may be explained in this paper., バケットエレベーターにおける投出し運動を考えるためにスプロケットの回転中心を原点にとってxy座擦を考えることにする。いまrをスプロケット回転中心からバケット内の重心までの距離としこれを半径として本稿中の図-1のように円を画きこの円周上任意の点Aにおいて働く力について考えることにする。

This paper reports the resistivity of evaporated Chromium,Nickel-Chromium (80%Ni-20%Cr) and Nickel films deposited on glass by the oblique incidence. The specific resistivity of the Chromium film showed very large values owing to oxidation. And the resistivity of all substrates at large incident angles were also very large values,because their film thickness was smaller than the theory values. The anisotropy of the resistivity was similar to the nomic metals. Anomaly of the resistivity was observed at the near incident angle O^0 in high rates of deposition., 斜方蒸着法により作成された薄膜には，その物理的性質に異方性や異常性があらわれることが，いろいろな物質について報告されている。たとえば，パーマロイ磁性薄膜では磁化容易軸が異方性を示す。シリコン，ゲルマ二ウム，CdTeなどの半導体においては蒸着方向に沿って非常に大きな光起電圧効果がみとめられる。また，偏光に対する吸収系数が偏光方向と膜の蒸着方向との関係により異なることがゲルマ二ウムなどで研究されている。金属薄膜においても一般にその抵抗値が異方性を示す。そのほかに，銀では蒸着角が30°～35°において抵抗値が小さくなり，マンガンでは蒸着角が0°～20°で大きくなるという異常性が報告されている。我々は，現在最とも薄膜抵抗として実用化されているニッケル・クローム系薄膜について斜方蒸着の実験を行なった。得られた抵抗値より膜抵抗値，異方性を求め考察を行なった。

P. H. Kaar published the paper treating a method of obtaining shear stress-strain graphs by interpretation of moment-twist data in Trans. of the ASME, May, 1953. The author tested the torsion of the carbon steel (c=O.26%) in high temperature -- 300℃, 400℃, 500℃ and 600℃ -- and drew up shear stress-strain graphs from moment-twist data by Kaar's method., 金属の機械的諸性質は切削に色々な影響を及ぼすが，切削はパイトが被削材を剪断破壊せしめて切屑を出すという考え方からすれば，それ等の諸性質の中でもとりわけ剪断応力の切削に与える影響はより大きいものがあると考えられる。従って我々が2，3 年前から行って来た高温切削の問題を論ずるにも高温に於ける材料の剪断応力の変化状態を知ることが必要となってくる。然るに直接高温に於ける剪断応力を知ることが非常に困難であるので，この実験では材料の高温捩り試験を行ってモーメント捩り角線図を求めて之よりP. H. Kaar氏の方法によって剪断応力歪線図を作成したのである。

Specific grinding shear energy ratio involved in the total specific energy varies with work materials and grinding codition. In this paper the oritical analysis and some experiments have been attempted by assuming a rit edge as a combined tool with various top rake angle and side rake angle., 本稿中の諸計算と実験を綜合すると全研削エネルギーに対する剪断エネルギーの割合は主として接線抵抗と垂直抵抗との比によって変化する。この比が大きくなる様な条件，例えば砥石が良好なる切味を持続する様な砥石の選定や作業条件では剪断エネルギーの割合が大きい。

We prepared a new apparatus for measuring the contract ion stress in castings. By using this apparatus, the contraction stress in castings was continuously measured during solidification and subsequent cooling. Some conclusions about the relation between the contraction stress and the residual stress in castings are reported in this paper., 一般に鋳造時に生ずる残留応力は，冷却が不均一な時に生ずると言われている。残留応力を小さくする為にはどのような冷却条件で冷却をしたらよいか，あるいは各部の温度差を何度位の時に無いようにしたらよいのか，という事は重要である。我々は鋳鉄でハンドル状鋳物を鋳込み，そのボス，アーム，リムの断面積を変えたり，あるいは中子砂，鋳造方案，鋳込温度を変え，鋳物の残留応力に及ぼす影響を調べて来た。その結果，鋳鉄のハンドル状鋳物の場合には温度差が650℃付近で零になるような冷却条件の時に残留応力は小さくなるという結果を得た。そこで更に材料の鋳込時からの弾性・塑性挙動を調べる事により，鋳物の残留応力を小さくする方法，あるいはまた残留応力が大きくなる材料は鋳込後に温度によってどのような弾性・塑性挙動を示すかを検討してみる事も有意義な事と思われる。そこでまず手始めに，材料の弾性・塑性挙動を調べる為に，鋳造収縮応力を測定した。本稿では，Al-Cu合金，Cu-Zn合金，および鋳鉄に於ける鋳造収縮応力の測定結果について報告し，鋳造残留応力との関係について考察を行なう。

Photoelastic experiments on the studies of stress which are induced by a concentrated load applying to each position of a beam as the fundamental problem, now follow the previous papers., この問題の基礎実験として梁が静荷重をうける場合について光弾性実験を行った結果につき前報に引き続き報告したい。

This paper is the report of some comparisons on the static electrification accumulated by charges in the oil tanks between the theory introduced and the experimental observation in the large storadge tanks in practical use described on the 5th Report in this BuIletin. The theory of static electrification in an oil tank has been discused in case of the steady state and the transient state respectively. In comparison between theoretical and measured values, both values have been coincided to a certain degree., 前掲第5報において，パイプラインに生じた流動電流によって帯電した油が流入する現用大型タンク中に挿入した油中電極の電位を観測した現場実験の概要を報告した。本報告はそれらの結果に対し，大まかではあるが，定常状態としての油タンク中の電位の分布状態，過渡状態における電極電位の上昇，減衰の過渡現象などについての理論的考察である。

Auther tried to treat them by solving a Dirichlet problem and by considering by means of the finite Hilbert transformation, and special cases are calculated and shown in graphs., 気流中におかれた有限巾の平板のまわりの流れの解析をディリクレ問題を解いて求める方法と，翼理論積分方程式を解いて求める方法で示した。又或る特殊な形の平板に関する数値計算を行った。

In this paper, we have studied the operations of each parametron and excitation part., パラメトロン加減乗算機の試作とともに二周波記憶装置の実験を行った。この二周波記憶装置は試作中の加減乗算機の励振周波数と異なるので，両者の連動には難点があるけれども将来この連動を考えている。この記憶装置は1 word 12 bits，addressは16の小さいものであるけれども，記憶装置の特殊なものとして別に使用を計画中であり，本文には装置の動作関係に限り述べてみたいと思う。

The state of surface by the old grinding process was not sufficiently fine. Theoritically the roughness must be the order of 10^1--10^2μ, but practically it was a few microns. These remarkable disparity would be the results from the precision of revolution of the grinder axis and longitudinal feed of the grinder. Recently the cylindrical plane grinder has been remarkably improved and at some conditions the possibility of glassy finished surface would be realized, so the comparison of theoretical values and experimèntal values has been easily and clearly done. In this paper some analytical formulas are reduced and some experiments at variousconditions were tried. These experimental results generaly verified that analytical results would be reasonable., 近時工作物の仕上面の組さは益々精細なものを要求され，これに伴ってその要求を或る程度迄満たし得る研削盤も出来て来て現在では10^μ単位迄の粗さの仕上が研削盤で可能となった。凡そ面の組さは理論的に求めると矢張り10^μ単位以下に出るのであるが今迄の多くの実験資料を見ると大低μ単位位しか出ていない。従って理論と実験とはよく一致せず，この点は推察によって説明づけられているにすぎない。故に果してその理論が正しいものであるか否かは判定に苦しむのである。この様に理論と実験とが一致しない一つの大きな原因は，より精密仕上が出来るよい研削盤を使用しないことにある。研削盤の良否の急所は砥石恥の回転精度にある。某会社の調査によると従来の研削盤の主軸心の移動軌跡は10μ以上にも及びしかも無軌道的なものであるとのことである。この様な研削盤を使用した場合には砥石の振動が大きくなり砥石面と工作物との接触が或は大きく或は小さくなり砥粒の切刃間隔の不同が著しくなるため実験結果は凡そ理論的結果と縁遠いものとなってくる。更に砥石の縦送りの粗い為めに研削圧力による工作物の響曲変形を完全に補正出来ず，この為面の粗さが悪くなることもあって実験結果は正確には表われてこない。本実験は求めた粗さの理論式がどの程度真理かを立証するためこの目的によくかなった円筒研削盤の入手が出来たので行ったものである。面の粗さに影響ある因子としては砥石の性質，機械の性能，研削油の良否，研削作業条件及び工作物の材質等広い範囲にわたるものであるが，ここでは単に研削作業条件のみに就いて実験を試みた。

In the previous paper,it was our investigation that the self-condensation of benzyl halides and the benzylization of phenols both occur simultaneously as competitive reaction when the mixtures of phenols and benzyl haildes,in which the existing quantity of the former to the latter being 1:1 or the more in mole ratio,were treated with gritty aluminum for the condensation by dehydrohalogenat ion. Since these reactions with aluminum needed the addition of some quantity of nitrobenzene,similar reactions with iron is now carried out without this addition. The results obtained are as follows: (i) Using iron powder,benzylization of phenols by benzyl halide smoothly proceeded to the considerable yield,and it is presumed that the iron halide produced as the intermediate product may catalyze the alkylation. (ii) From the determined values of mean molecular weight for the respective reaction products,it was shown that the phenols were mono- and di-benzylized,and the benzyl halides di- and tri- benzylized. (iii) Some information was obtained for the reaction temperature dependance of mean molecular weight of self-condensation products and benzyl phenols having maximum at the specific reaction temperature for respective sort of phenols. (iv) In the benzylization of phenols,p-benzyizlation was easier at lower temperature and o-benzylization at higher temperature., 前報では，フェノール類とハロゲン化ベンジルとの混合物の金属アルミニウムによる脱ハロゲン化水素反応においては，ハロゲン化ベンジルの自己縮合とフェノール類のベンジル化の反応とが同時競争反応として起こることを認め，両反応生成物の性質や生成比率の反応条件による変化などについて述べた。しかし，その場合にはある量のニトロベンゼンの共存を必要としたので，本報ではそれを要しない鉄粉を触媒とする場合について同様な研究を行なったものである。

ln this paper, test pieces were made of epoxy resin. Photoelastic investigation of two circular holes of large and small sizes in a field of pure tensicn was done, in order to know relations between two circular holes of large and small sizes and A/b, a/b and A/c, a/c. ln the case of the circular hole of the small size, if A/a were large, the maximum stress would become smaller and smaller compared with a/c which became larger and larger. ln this study, the relations of the case of one circular hole, two circular holes of large and small sizes and two circular holes of equal radius were investigated, too, where A is the radius of the large hole, a is the radius of the small hole, b is the constant breadth of bar and c is the distance between the centers of two holes., 古くより円孔の研究はいろいろの角度よりなされている。1円孔ではR.C.J.Howlandの数値解，2円孔ではG.B.Jeffery，C.B.Ling，鵜戸口氏等の解折がある。又光弾性実験としては島田氏の2円孔を有する帯板の引張の論文が見られる。本報告は長さ方向に大小2円孔のある帯板の引張による光弾性実験を行った。大小円子の直径の比，試験片の幅及び円孔間の距離を変えて実験を行い，大小円孔縁上の応力を調べ，又試験片の幅，円孔間の距離の円孔縁最大応力に及ぼす影響を調べ，併せて既知の研究結果とも比較した。
