The 70-year practice of New China shows that our party has, permanently, attached importance and strengthened the leadership of ideological work, which is an essential factor for the Chinese nation to achieve the leap from standing, wealthy to powerful, and consolidate continuously the ruling position of the party. The successive leadership collectives of the party have explored and innovated the theory of socialist ideology in different periods of the history of China in light of the international and domestic situation, providing the CPC with a scientific theoretical basis and action guidelines for breaking through ideological barriers in its long-term rule. Mao Zedong made significant historical contributions to explore the road to new Chinese socialism, institutional design, theoretical innovation and ideological construction. The purpose of this study is to combine the basic principles of Marxism with the specific reality of China, creatively put forward the basic principles and basic directions of national ideology construction, and systematically elaborate the essential connotation, guiding ideology, primary objectives, fundamental nature and realization path of socialist ideology construction. This study shows that the first theoretical leap of the localization of Marxist ideology in China has laid a solid foundation to build a scientific and complete country and a scientific and complete national ideology system.

Due to the close relationship between pets and humans, pet owners are highly invested in proper diets for their pets. Even though pet food mislabeling is concerning, there are few studies on this topic. This study investigated pet food mislabeling in South Korea’s market based on DNA barcoding. In total, 10 pet food products were purchased, and 200 sequences of the partial Cytochrome c oxidase subunit 1 (COI) gene were generated from clones of the samples. The obtained sequences were compared to available public databases to identify species present in the ingredients. The data analyses showed that the labeled species were consistent with species detected by COI sequences in 6 of the products. However, the expected species were not detected in 4 products, revealing possible mislabeling in these samples. Our findings indicated that DNA barcoding might represent a promising tool to detect pet food mislabeling.

The street artist Ernest Pignon-Ernest, between 1988 and 1990, stuck some serigraphs inspired by Caravaggio's paintings to the walls of corners and streets in Naples. These interventions, epiphanic visual narratives, are presented here as forms of street art of a highly theatrical nature. The spatio-temporal dimension they give life will be read as a scene, at the same time real and symbolic, capable of revealing what the social order would tend to hide or forget.

The purpose of this paper is to emphasize the importance of «inculturation» in the religious images drawn by Monica Liu (Ho-Pei), a unique artist who promoted Religious Art and Education in Taiwan. Monica Liu adopted Western Christianity into Chinese art to create paintings that reflect her love for nature as well as Our Lady who is deeply venerated in the Catholic Church and regarded as the mother of humanity. This paper is a qualitative research based on an interview conducted with Huang Wan-Yun, a protégée of Monica Liu who had a very close relationship with the latter during the last ten years of her life. This research is also based on some writings that Monica left behind and several articles written about her by acquaintances. The culture and faith expressed by Monica Liu through Our Lady’s images help us to deeply understand the value and relationship between religious art and faith. In addressing the needs of the secular world, religious art has encountered difficulties in terms of contemporary aesthetics. Monica’s distinct aesthetic considered «moral virtues» important to modern or contemporary art and their absence could result in distorted values. Therefore, true mission work in the field of religious art has to be close to everyone’s heart, as well as emphasize the importance of inculturation through natural representations and create awareness of taboo in art, which involves «additional and supplementary» elements in original artworks.

Recent molecular and morphological data derived from members of the pollen-beetle subfamily Meligethinae suggest the need to separate the genus Sagittogethes Audisio and Cline, 2009, including species mostly distributed in Western Palaearctic areas, into two distinct (although related) genera, Sagittogethes and Teucriogethes gen. n. This new genus, comprising the Western European Meligethes obscurus Erichson, 1845 as its type species, includes less than ten species distributed between the Iberian Peninsula and North Africa westward, and China and Japan eastward. All inclusive species utilize members of the genus Teucrium L. (Lamiacaeae: Ajugoideae) as larval host-plants. Morphological and bionomical information, and molecular data clearly demonstrate the necessity for updating the taxonomic position of the two clades. Based on molecular evidence, the new genus represents the sister-group of Thymogethes Audisio and Cline, 2009, while the sister-group relationships of the remaining Sagittogethes taxa with other Lamiaceae-associated genera of Meligethinae remain uncertain. Within the new genus, the relictual and rare Western Mediterranean species T. minutus (C.N.F. Brisout de Barneville, 1863) seems to occupy an isolated position.

Two new species of the genus Lamiogethes Audisio & Cline, 2009 are described from China (Sichuan): L. forcipenis sp. n., and L. convexistrigosus sp. n., based on a series of recently collected specimens. The new species are both likely morphologically related to L. potanini (Kirejtshuk, 1979) from Sichuan and to L. conjungens (Grouvelle, 1910) from Yunnan. These new species clearly differ from their related taxa by details of the body shape and color, and the distinct shape of the male and female genitalia. Both new species are likely associated as larvae with a member of the genus Phlomoides Moench (Lamiaceae).

Meligethes (Odontogethes) inexpectatus sp. n. is described from China, Sichuan Province. The new species is based on a female specimen previously incorrectly referred to as Meligethes scrobescens Chen, Lin, Huang & Yang, 2015, which was recently described from a series of male specimens collected in the same area. Both species belong to the taxonomically difficult species-group related to M. chinensis Kirejtshuk, 1979, including a dozen closely related species distributed throughout Nepal and SW and Central China. The true female of Meligethes scrobescens is also described, based on recently collected material from China (Hubei and Chongqing), including a series of male and female specimens. Diagnostic characters distinguishing the new species from all other known members of the M. chinensis species-group and species-complex are discussed, and their overall range distribution are depicted. Additional data on geographic distribution and larval ecology of some of the closely related species are also reported.

Denarrativisation. D’Annunzio. Ekphrasis. Stage directions. Theatre ,Language and Literature ,French literature - Italian literature - Spanish literature - Portuguese literature ,PQ1-3999 - Abstract
D’Annunzio wrote ékphrasis and stage directions with a strong literary connotation. His descriptions of paintings as well as opening scenes stress in particular the details, giving a poetic aura to the vision, at the same time hyper-realistic and elusive. The linguistic vividness of d’Annunzio is examined in these two forms of speech, the ékphrasis and the stage directions, to bring out the characteristics of a ‘pictorial’ theatre. The centre of this analysis is the tension between word and image, between the contents communicated by the first and the contents expressed or evoked by the latter. The article proposes the analysis of some theoretical writings and theatrical texts. At the end we suggest a contemporary feature of d’Annunzio’s theatre in term of “denarrativisation” of the theatrical scenes in a visual way.

In this essay I would like to propose a reinterpretation of certain passages of the earlier Derrida’s works, specifically on Edmund Husserl. I will focus mainly on his dissertation (Mémoire d’études superieures) and his Introduction to the Husserlian appendix The origin of geometry. My purpose is to point out some aspects that I consider relevant for the development of the following Derrida’s philosophy. First of all, I’ll try to take into account the concept of dialectic in his transition from Kant to Husserl. Then, starting from Derrida’s interpretation of The Lectures on Internal Time-Consciousness, I’ll try to explain the meaning of what could be described as an aesthetic refoundation of the transcendental. In these early stages Derrida attempted to lay the foundation of what he’ll then call “quasi-transcendental”. From this perspective, we might note that the deconstructive reading – as such – involves a phenomenological attention towards the original contamination between the conditions of possibility and the empirical field. Therefore, the exercise of deconstruction has something to do with difference as différance from the very beginning.

The article discusses Emanuele Pellegrini's book La memoria in tasca (Memory in a Pocket, 2021) which traces the history of the notebook, from papyrus to contemporary form, as a working tool and travel companion characterised by an open and adaptable character. Focusing on the relationship between text and image, one of its central aspects, it asks how their relationship changes over the course of the notebook’s history and to what extent the word influences the image and vice versa in the notation practice of live observation. How do text and image complement each other? What relationship does their interaction have with memory practices?

Book IV of the Marriage of Philology and Mercury devoted to dialectics contains, in the part that studies words (De loquendo), a doctrine that deals with genus, species, difference, proper, and accident, as well as a paraphrase of Aristotle’s Categories. This article aims to show that the doctrine of these “predicables” exposed by Martianus does not come from Porphyry’s Isagogè (as modern critics have supposed), but was constituted from materials taken from Cicero’s rhetorical treatises and Apuleius’ Peri hermeneias.

20. The ethical image in a topological perspective: the poetics of Gaston Bachelard

In the poetics of Gaston Bachelard, the natural images, especially the four elements (fire, water, air, earth), occupy the eminent place for literary imagination. Under this main frame, this paper tries to present the relation of ethics and aesthetics in focusing on the ethical image as a synthetic concept. It also argues that the poetic imagination in Bachelard presupposes a metaphysical base managing the being, the force, the will, and the action. There is a dynamic structure in this metaphysics of imagination. Notwithstanding the usual separation of different spheres in philosophy, Bachelard urges a primary fusion in the cosmic scale, i.e. the world and the human are communicative and correspondent. Taking these principles into consideration, this paper explores the topological dimension in those poetic images of elements and space. The ontological sense of being-there is evaluated by the dynamic function of “there” in restoring its ethical meaning. Likewise, the terms “in front of the fire”, “before the water”, “in the water” are given the topological accents. The verticality indicating the dynamic function of the flight, of the falling, and of standing upright is topologically effective. In accordance to the verticality, the concept of survival contains an effect of surpassing the existential conditions, the prefix “sur-“ means that tentative of the higher degree. In sum, the cosmicity as the very place of ethical and ontological unification reveals Bachelard’s concern on the imaginative transformation of the personality, the appropriation in the cosmos.

- Abstract

The goal of this paper is to test whether changes in the marketing margin betweenthe farm and the retail prices can result in an asymmetric relationship between the farm and the retail prices in the rice market of Taiwan. By separating the transaction cost variation into two regimes, this paper utilizes a two-regime TVECM with the error correction term serving as the threshold variable to create a non-linear threshold model. The empirical results show that when the marketing margin is lower than the threshold value, the market system operates freely and there is feedback between the farm and retail prices. However, when the marketing margin is higher than the threshold value, the government intervenes in the market and the causality between the farm and retail prices no longer exists. The conclusions are as follows. Changes in the marketing margin can cause the asymmetric price transmission between the farm and retail prices in Taiwan’s rice markets; therefore, ignoring the effect of the marketing margin could lead to errors in the models. When the marketing margin is higher than the threshold value, the government intervenes in the market and the causality between the two prices is broken.

In this paper I will demonstrate how, in Derrida's approach to Husserl, phenomenology is to be understood through the notions of sound and space. First, I will show how the deconstruction of Husserl's phonologocentrism leads to a repositioning of the traditional concept of sound. Then, I will emphasize the relevance of the spatial element and its rhythmic dynamism. Under these premises, I will present my interpretive hypothesis, that in Derrida's thought there persists a transcendental dimension as a new transcendental aesthetics.

In Your Face is a theatrical exploration on identity. This stage workshop, organised by IUAV and coordinated by the theatre company Anagoor, explores the relationship between creativity and identity. The delicate balance of self-observation and self-exposure allowed each participant to create a personal representation of themselves. The results of the workshop, twenty-two self-portraits in motion projected onto a plasma screen, were presented in the Spazio Cosmo at the Giudecca (Venice). In order to present this work, the relationship between the self-portraits and the exhibition space that hosts them is analyzed first. Then, the reflection focuses on the principles of the gaze according to the assumptions of visual culture. The relationship between performance and painting thus becomes a crucial junction for understanding the creative principles behind the workshop. But above all, in the end, the reflection underlines the principles of theatricality on which this type of work is based. An interview with the workshop participants, which was the starting point for the proposed reflections, accompanies the text.

- Abstract
This paper investigates the principles of the construction of the dramatic image in Beckett’s works. The starting point is the analysis of the short prose L’image. Following the suggestions of an ecfrastic theory, it is possible to identify the performative elements involved in the construction of the vision with the writing process. The same elements are then studied in the theatrical practice particularly focusing upon: the fragmentation of the textual image; the fragmentation of the body and of the subject on stage; the dynamic process between movement and frozen image., Studi e ricerche

Progresses in podocyte biology have been strictly connected with genetic advances; the identification of genes mutated in familial and sporadic forms of nephrotic syndrome has been followed by functional studies of the encoded proteins, revealing numerous properties of the cell. The molecules uncovered so far belong to three main categories: a) proteins located at the slit diaphragm, the intercellular junction which laterally connects podocyte processes and is responsible for selectivity of the glomerular filter, b) molecules involved in regulation of actin dynamics, which are essential for the maintenance of podocyte structure and function, and c) molecules belonging to intracellular organelles, such as mitochondria and lysosomes, which are central players in podocyte metabolism. Considering the key role of the podocyte in health and disease of the glomerular filter, better knowledge of this cell is a pre-requisite for developing targeted therapies of glomerular diseases.

[SHS.LITT]Humanities and Social Sciences/Literature - Abstract

Therefore, the exercise of deconstruction has something to do with difference as différance from the very beginning., Con questo contributo intendo proporre una rilettura di alcuni passaggi specifici della fase iniziale dell’opera di Jacques Derrida dedicata allo studio di Edmund Husserl.

DELPHI data collected at centre-of-mass energies up to 208 GeV have been analysed to search for charginos, neutralinos and sfermions in the framework of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) with R-parity conservation. No evidence for a signal was found in any of the channels. The results of each search were used to derive limits on production cross-sections and particle masses. In addition, the combined result of all searches excludes regions in the parameter space of the constrained MSSM, leading to limits on the mass of the Lightest Supersymmetric Particle and other supersymmetric particles., 103 pages, 44 figures, Accepted by Eur. [SHS.LITT]Humanities and Social Sciences/Literature - Abstract
