This paper tries to present morphological productivity of compound nouns in a corpus comprised of news, literary, academic and TV registers using an onomasiological approach, namely, the productivity at the level of word-formation rules. The productivity at the aforementioned level is the union of the productivity at the level of word-formation types and morphological types. By using manual, descriptive, analytic and statistical methods, we came to 571 examples of compound nouns that fell into 10 different conceptual categories (Agent, Action, Result, Object, Location, Instrument, Substance, Time, Quantity, State), i.e. clusters. Each cluster offered pieces of information on the interaction of different concepts within different word-formation types together with the morphological aspect through different morphological types, which was the aim of the paper. The results proved our initial hypothesis that the interaction of different elements is of the utmost significance for better understanding of compounding. The interaction of two concepts dominated all clusters while the combination of two stems, especially two nouns, dominated morphological types.

У раду се анализира роман Џејн Остин Разум и осјећајност (Sense and Sensibility) у свјетлу Бахтиновог схватања ауторског и туђег говора и њиховог односа (1980: 127−130), а у теоријском оквиру лингвостилистике (Kovačević 2012, 2011, 2013, 2015; Katnić-Bakaršić 2001), односно према критеријумима репрезентологије (Kovačević 2015: 253−254). Циљ рада је да се препознају и испитају типови преношења туђег говора, мисли и писања (Leech and Short 2007; Semino and Short 2004; Kovačević 2013) и њихов однос са ауторским текстом. Текст романа анализира се методом „ријеч по ријеч“, без примјене софтвера. Показује се да Џејн Остин у овом роману користи: нараторово извјештавање о говорном чину / чину мишљења / чину писања, неуправни говор/мисао/писање, експресивни неуправни говор/мисао, слободни неуправни говор/мисао, монолошки, дијалошки и полилошки управни говор, слободни управни говор, реплику дијалога, фрагментарни управни говор, хипотетички говор, управну мисао, слободну управну мисао, управно писање, уметнути туђи говор/мисао. Гледано са синтаксостилистичког становишта, Џејн Остин превасходно сапостављањем и симетричношћу стилогених комбинација ауторског говора и слободне неуправне мисли, и неуправне мисли са једне стране, те управног говора, реплике дијалога, слободног управног говора, управног писања и слободног неуправног говора са друге стране, постиже антитетички ефекат који одликује укупну структуру овог романа.

Abstracts generally summarize key points of research studies, and as such, their main purpose is to attract the attention of potential readers. Thus, they should be well-written, concise, clear, and informative. This paper aims to provide basic guidelines for writing a good abstract in English, focusing mainly on linguistic aspects. Also, the paper addresses some common abstract-writing mistakes resulting from Serbian-English language differences that are usually overlooked or unrecognized by Serbian authors and available proofreading tools. The examples come from a corpus of 71 abstracts written in English by Serbian authors for the 11th International Scientific Conference Special Education and Rehabilitation Today in 2021. They illustrate some frequent errors, ways to correct them, and suggestions on how to achieve greater clarity and coherence in English sentences. Both versions (before and after the proofreading process) were analyzed. It was observed that sentences and structures in English abstracts were significantly affected by the rules, sentence patterns, and flexibility of the Serbian language.
