Aldo Bodrato's thought is not easily comprehensible in a specific subject-matter research: he studied philosophy but dealt in theology during all his life with a great competence. His word is free, sometimes pungent, but this is because he is passionate and his work can be only understand considering his faith, lived as a political and social engagement. The narrative turn, in which he is experimenter of that theological field always more theorized than praticed still today, is realised in three stories collections, where acts many biblical, historical or fictional characters (neverthless historically founded, as he himself wished to remark), who in different ways embody rebellion typical in those hungry of justice, so near to the author' sensitivity. This meas that we find prophetic voices who criticized and unmasked the various forms under which human power concealed and variously embodied in characters living on the threshold or outside the human community. What correspondence from Dante's Commedia and De Monarchia to Kant's theories on universal peace? If we discover a sommo poeta who was also a greatest theologian (although not exclusively so), in the identity between faith and life experienced by the Florentine author and transmitted in his works, there appears a conception of the world (general), where the faith of the individual (particular) is reflected. If a theological structure, in Dante's there is a precursor of the palingenetic experience of the inner journey, also in Kant the analysis of the concept of good leads to a sort of innate (and aprioristic) divine conception. Thus, in this similitude, we discover the analogy between the two thinkers, sealed in the hope and the wish for a single kingdom/state that allows all human kind to live as peaceful brothers.
