- Abstract
The article examines education in the information age, proposing an informational perspective. By analyzing the epistemology of informational learning, I offer a framework for understanding how individuals acquire knowledge, highlighting the role of design and models in active and constructive learning. Following this, the paper presents the UDL and ODDE educational models, outlining their key features and potential contributions. I then showcase the practical application of these models through case studies focusing on the use of AI to develop personalized learning tools and inclusive environments. I propose EIML as a competence to address the abundance of information in learning and the need for the concept of reciprocity. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
This paper aims to conduct an at-tentative analysis on the challenges and opportunities sot-tended to prepare future generations so that they can easily adapt in a learning context characterized by constant fluidity and evolution. The School, initially oriented toward the unidirectional transmission of knowledge, is undergoing a process of redefinition of its status, configuring itself as an entity of a cultural and educational nature within the society of Conoscence. This metamorphosis requires a wideranging approach capable of recognizing and affronting, with adequate depth, the intricate human dynamics that shape the process of adoption and condition the effectiveness of digital technologies in education. - Abstract
The contribution explores the intricate relationship between science and the humanities, emphasising the significant role of dreams and poetry in inspiring technological innovation. It delves into the historical context in which scientific discoveries and artistic expressions have mutually shaped human civilisation. The discussion emphasises the need to integrate scientific rigour with humanistic depth to promote a holistic understanding of the world and address complex global challenges. Examining examples such as D'Annunzio's poetic interpretation of technology and the broader cultural impact of scientific progress, the paper argues for a more unified approach to education and thinking, merging the analytic with the creative to cultivate responsible and empathetic individuals. - Abstract
Guidance, tailored to personal needs, is essential in shaping each person's educational and vocational path. Targeted orientation can contribute to the construction of personalized itineraries that enhance the individual's talents, expectations, and aspirations in a way that offers the possibility of pursuing goals consistent with one's inclinations. The Ministry of Education's recent guidelines aim to strengthen the link between the first and second cycles of education and training, creating a structured and coordinated guidance system that recognizes students' talents, aptitudes and inclinations. The aim is to accompany students on a personal, vocational and educational life path. This paper offers a first commentary on this, underlining the importance of the autonomy dimension of educational institutions in the next phase of implementation of the guidelines. - Abstract
This paper focuses to a biblical analysis into the relevance of the fundamental values of Gospel in relation to the community. The Sermon on the Mount in Mt 5 refers to unmatched values. Values are those that refer to God: trust in God, listening to the Word, walking on the paths drawn by God’s Law. But deep spiritual values have applicability in concrete life, where they are cultivated: justice, peace, kindness. By far the supreme value is love with its expressions in concrete existence. The scope is the field of human community, where relationships play a fundamental role. Biblical man lives from relationships: the relationship with God, the relationship with his fellow men and the relationship with nature. The same applies to Matthew, an evangelist attentive to the sphere of relationships. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

GENDER differences (Sociology) , *GENDER , *TEACHERS - Abstract
inglese In recent years, the issue of gender difference in scientific disciplines has established itself in the political, social, and economic debate at national and international level. Nevertheless, in the italian scholastic environment, many topics related to gender inclusion are still underdeveloped or perceived as marginal. In this paper we investigate what are the strategies that school, and therefore teachers, can implement to promote inclusion in scientific disciplines, without losing sight of the complexity of the phenomenon which requires reflection at a broader level. - Abstract
The aim of this article is to reread the letter Iuvenum Patris by John Paul II, 30 years after its publication on 31, January 1988 on the Centenary of the death of St. John Bosco, Founder of the Salesian Family and Educator of the young. The paper highlights the relevance of the text and some new challenges of today's context that calls for the integration the interpretation of the Preventive System with some updated paradigms, in an original way, in the education of the new generations. The focus is therefore on the "first and fundamental cultural fact", as well as the fruit of the integral education, specific hallmark of the Preventive System, which John Paul II identifies in the letter as the formation of "the spiritually mature human being, that is, the fully educated person, a person capable of educating him/herself and educating others". - Abstract
The paper deals with the reconstruction of the main educational and cultural experiences lived by the Italian philosopher Mario Dal Pra (1914-1992), during his childhood and youth in Veneto (a region in the North-East of Italy). The classical studies in the seminary of Vicenza, the involvement in the local Catholic Movement (Azione Cattolica and then Fuci), the studies in Philosophy at the University of Padua under the guide of Erminio Troilo represented the pillars of his initial formation as a Catholic young scholar during the dreadful Fascist period. This kind of perspective, so effective in those years, was suddenly changed by Dal Pra into a new look on reality, philosophy and religion − influenced by a critical rationalism − after his commitment in Italian Resistance movement during the second world war. For this reason, an in-depth analysis of his “Venetian years” could offer an unreleased reading of his intellectual and religious origins. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

EDUCATION & economics , *FINANCIAL crises , *LABOR market , *PROBABILITY theory , *REAL options (Finance) , *ECONOMIC policy , *LITERATURE reviews - Abstract
This paper examines the role of economic appraisal of education and training systems under the light of the current economic and financial crisis and of the relevant "exit policy" strategies. On the basis of the literature on the Post World War II "economic miracles", the paper confirms that a careful evaluation of education and training systems can be a powerful tool to transit to the "post crisis" situation and to set a growth path. However, evaluation of human capital preparation through education and training cannot be disjoined from evaluation of human capital utilization- viz. of labor and retirement policies. The current practice is to follow different methodologies, techniques and procedures for evaluating human capital preparation, on the one hand, and human capital utilization, on the other. The paper outlines two possible strategies to define a unified evaluation methodology with pertinent techniques and procedures. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

LABORATORIES , *PROFESSIONALISM , *RELIABILITY (Personality trait) , *BENCHMARKING (Management) - Abstract
This paper provides information on the start and rapid development of training, research and laboratory activities of IIS and IIS Progress in Italy and abroad. In particular, two successive periods are considered separately for the first and the remaining tasks, the first one of affirmation and development of training and research activities and of start and growth of the Laboratory, the second one, characterized by the availability of the new modern IIS headquarters, of vigorous growth, also due to the reorganization of the corporate structure and to the preparation of the partition that led to the birth of the IIS Group. The latter includes, as it is now well known, along with IIS ente morale (Non-proflt Organization), IIS Cert srl (Ltd.), IIS Service srl (Ltd.), both created in early 2011, and IIS Progress srl (Ltd.) which was created in early 2013. At the same time the most important events are remembered related to the acquisition in 1988 of the new and well-equipped IIS headquarters in Genoa and, in the following years, of a number of offices in other Italian locations. IIS Group had in force at the end of 2013 approximately 225 employees (including about sixty graduates engineers and a hundred technical graduates), of which almost a quarter are employees and managers of IIS Progress. Appears as well as in over sixty years of activity before IIS and afler the IIS Group have been won a reputation for professionalism, reliability and expertise that have made it one of the most comprehensive European benchmarks in the field of joining and related and connected techniques, appreciated everywhere it has acted, in Italy, in Europe and in other continents. WOMEN in mass media , *FAMILY history (Sociology) , *PRINTING presses , *NINETEENTH century , *SOCIAL history - Abstract
The present paper aims at revealing the historical value of one of the mass media used by Romanian elites in their effort of redefining the roles women and family should have in the Romanian society of the 19th century. Two were in fact the main objectives we aimed at achiving: first to stress the importance that printed press has as an historical resource for the study of women and family history and, secondly to reveal how press perfectly mirrored some of the great debates of the Transylvanian society during this century. As a society has at its basis the women and the family, what we intended to point out is how the Romanian journals, such as Gazeta Transilvaniei, Familia, Amicul Familiei were used as disseminating and formative tools for educating the women or correcting some bad habits caused by the modernity in the family areal. Moreover, our intention was also of studying the journals form a gender perspective as they represent indeed a major media in which the debate over women's condition and role in the society developed. CHILD abuse , *CHILD welfare , *CRIMES against children , *ABUSED children , *DOMESTIC violence - Abstract
This paper directs its attention towards the emotional repercussions and the subjectivity of whoever is tackling the subject of child abuse. This study intends to explore the processes through which individuals placed within a group involved in educational activity organise their information and build up representations regarding child abuse. The group of participants in the study was made up of 163 individuals (122 university students and 41 professional persons, of whom N = 12 police officers and N=29 social-medical workers), who were shown a documentary film, Capturing the Friedmans, (USA 2003). The results of the subsequent deliberations were examined via an analysis of frequency and the Chi-square statistical tests. The study confirms the importance of the utilisation, in education, of cinematographic laboratories; they also provide an opportunity for interior narration, which is permitted by the relationship (and the protection) created within the group. Through these the conceivable aspects of the event can emerge, along with the meaning and motivation behind the events. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

AQUARIUMS , *ANTHROPOLOGY , *EDUCATION , *QUESTIONNAIRES , *EXPECTANCY theories , *NUMERICAL analysis - Abstract
This paper illustrates an evaluative research process, committed by the Genoa Aquarium and developed by the Department of Anthropological Sciences, aimed at building an index of educational effectiveness of the visit, which allowed the company management to get a synthetic indication of effectiveness and to identify more easily the strengths and weaknesses of the path from the educational point of view. To do this, after a preliminary analysis of the bibliography of reference, the first step was the conceptual clarification of the evaluation object, sought through focus groups and interviews in which managers and operators of the structure were invited to more properly define the educational objectives of the visit. Then questionnaires were constructed and filled in by the visitors before the visit, to ensure that their educational expectations on the visit coincide with the objectives identified by company management, and after the visit, to evaluate its effectiveness. In the final phase the staff structure has been involved in the indicators weighting, allowing to re-evaluate the scores obtained on the different indicators with the administration of questionnaires and to calculate, on a 0-100 scale, an index of educational effectiveness that respects the priorities defined by managers and experts of Genoa Aquarium. The main index strength, thus calculated, is that it reflects the priorities assigned by company management, and on this basis gives a synthetic feedback on the educational effectiveness of the visit. Its intrinsic limit, is that one can not assume the overlap between the priorities assigned to the objectives by managers and operators, on one hand, and the relative priority of user expectations on the other, and this is an important element of uncertainty for the definition of corporate strategies.
