- Abstract
This study investigates the impact of liquidity ratios, solvency ratios, and ESG scores on the operational performance of companies in ASEAN, and examines the moderating role of the CEO's education level. Data was collected from non-financial companies in ASEAN for the period 2018-2022 using the Refinitiv Eikon database and other public sources. A deductive to inductive approach and panel data regression analysis techniques were employed for data analysis. The findings reveal a significant positive effect of liquidity and ESG on operational performance, while solvency does not have a significant impact. Additionally, the study shows that the CEO's education level significantly moderates the relationship between Liqudity, Solvency, and ESG scores on operational performance. This research contributes to a better understanding of the factors influencing the operational performance of companies in ASEAN and its implications for decision-making and sustainable practices. It highlights the important role of the CEO's education level in this context and extends existing knowledge by broadening the scope of independent variables and confirming previous findings.
