Introduction: COVID-19 is caused by a novel virus and is known to be an infectious respiratory disease affecting more than 200 countries and union territories of the world. 80% of the patients are shown to have mild to moderate disease. Illness prevention is the mainstay of getting away from the condition with the non-availability of vaccines or medicine. Methods: The aim & objective of this study is to describe the behavioral insight (knowledge, attitude & practice) regarding preventive measures of COVID-19 among the teaching hospital staff. An institutional-based descriptive study was conducted among 168 staff, including lab technicians, doctors, staff nurses, and other supporting staff of a tertiary hospital using a convenient sampling technique. The data were obtained by interviewing staff with a pre-tested semi-structured schedule. Result: The study results showed that most of the respondents were found to have good knowledge, attitude, and practice towards preventive measures such as social distancing, hand hygiene, face mask, and PPE Kit. 88% of participants were using 3 layered medical masks, and most of them (63%) were using a regular wash of face mask. Among most respondents, no gap between knowledge and practice was seen; however, proper use, handling, and disposal of face masks and other PPE was a concern. Conclusion: Therefore, there is a need to improve the knowledge of COVID-19 among healthcare workers, which is possible with the availability of good quality Information Education and Communication (IEC) materials. MASKS AND THE IMPLEMENTATION OF PHYSICAL DISTANCING AS AN EFFORT TO PREVENT THE TRANSMISSION OF COVID-19: SOCIALIZATION IN SAMARINDA ULU DISTRICT. The status of the Covid-19 red zone in six sub-districts, namely North Samarinda sub-district, Samarinda Ulu sub-district, Samarinda City sub-district, Sungai Kukung sub-district, Sungai Pinang sub-district and Samarinda Ilir sub-district. Meanwhile, the other 4 sub-districts, the orange zone in Sambutan sub-district, as well as the yellow zone in the Samarinda Seberang sub-district, Loa Janan Ilir and also in the Palaran sub-district (Niaga Asia, 2020). The solution that will be offered to this problem is to provide socialization about the importance of using masks, distribution of masks and an explanation regarding the importance of carrying out physical distancing. This activity aims to increase knowledge and the community about the correct type & method of using masks and the importance of physical distancing. The service method used in this activity is socialization. This socialization was carried out by providing counseling on the importance of using masks and the importance of carrying out physical distancing as an effort to prevent the transmission of Covid-19. The service output will be submitted to an accredited journal. The conclusion of this community service, namely the delivery of practical material applying the use of masks and physical distancing in order to prevent Covid-19 transmission, the results are quite good and can be accepted by all people and become a habit in everyday life in the new normal era.

The increase of air pollution in today’s environment is directly proportional to the increased in free radical compounds in the body, which can cause damage to the demis tissue and skin collagen, especially face. One of the effort that can be done to avoid this damage is by using natural face masks such as moringa leaves and robusta coffee. This study aims to analyze the content of antioxidant activity and the physical quality of face masks made from moringa leaves and robusta coffee. This research is an experimental research which is presented descriptively. This research consists of the process of making moringa leaf powder and robusta coffee, testing the antioxidant activity and physical quality of facial masks. Based on the results from the test of the content of antioxidant activity, it shows that the A3 formula has the highest value based on the test for the content of antioxidant activity, pH, drying time and organopeltic test as a whole with values of 75.28%, 6.0, 22.15 minutes and 3.6. In conclusion, moringa leaves and robustas coffee are recommended and can be used as a face mask formula with antioxidant activity and good physical quality for skin health.

Seberang Padang Village, South Padang District, is next to Padang City, which has approximately 200 families. This location is a crossing area between Padang-Painan, in West Sumatra. The community consists of two existing traditional markets that sell daily necessities. Besides that, there is also one elementary school, two junior high schools, and one high school. The global Covid-19 pandemic certainly affects the community's daily activities and learning activities, including children, elementary school students, middle and high school students, and the village community to fulfil their basic needs. Furthermore, the main problem of Covid-19 is not only about the effects caused by the virus on sufferers but also about its high-speed transmission. Therefore, to educate the community around the Seberang Padang village, several Chemistry Lecturers and students at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at Andalas University did a community engagement. They taught the community about making disinfectants and hand sanitizers without alcohol that can overcome the occurrence of Covid-19 transmission. In addition, face masks were provided for the community, and the alms of food for underprivileged residents to push down the negative impact of Covid-19.

Mysterious atypical pneumonia appeared abruptly in Wuhan, China in December 2019. China authority and Word Health Organization (WHO) found out the etiology on January 2020. New strain of Corona virus that eventually called by SARS-CoV2 has been responsible for the Corona virus disease of 2019 (Covid-19). The disease has ability to spread from human to human. These diseases had been pandemic since March 2020. As the start of early spreading we need to give right information about Covid-19 to the community so that the mass panicked could be avoided. We also need to educate community to take right precaution and prevention. These activities aims to spread the right information about Covid-19 and give simple training to performed prevention act so that community can slowdown the disease transmission. Methods: the campaign and health education about covid-19 and training of cough etiquette, right steps of hand washing using water and soap or alcohol based hand rub, and also how to use face mask properly. There were 66 participants that involved in this event. Participants had actively asked information about frequency of hand washing we need to prevent transmission and travel safety. We also performed flash mob so the participants could train cough etiquette, hand washing, and using face mask in fun ways. We ended the activities with competition of hand washing and using face mask properly. The door prize for the winner was hand sanitizer and face mask that they could use as tools to prevent transmission of Covid-19.
