Utilization of medicinal plants by Krui People those whose raw materials come from agroforestry "Repong Damar" has long been known and this knowledge has been passed down from generation to generation. Repong Damar is a term for agroforestry in Krui. Research has been conducted in Mei-Juni 2018 with the aim to known the species of plant as utilizing medicinal plants. Data were collected through direct interview with snowball sampling technique and field observations. The results showed that 93 species of plants from 40 families were used as medicine. The highest family is Piperaceae (10%). The most widely used plant parts are 46% of leaves and the type of disease that is often treated as medicinal plants is respiratory tract. PARTNER VILLAGE IN FAMILY MEDICINE PLANT CULTIVATION TOWARDS CIBIRU WETAN VILLAGE AS A HERBAL CENTER. The area of ​​Cibiru Wetan Village is a farming area because besides the limited water supply, the land is hilly. With the initiative and participation of women farmer groups which had so many achievements and skills, it was necessary to explore the potential that could provide a new icon for Cibiru Wetan Village. The purpose of the activity was to socialize and practice the cultivating of the medicinal plants carried out by a group of women farmers with simple and effective technology and finally able to become a center of dried herbs production. The method used in the cultivation program for medicinal plants was divided into three stages. The first stage was to provide material counseling on family medicinal plants including the understanding of the benefits of the plant, the second stage was to provide an explanation or training in planting family medicinal plants and the last stage or third stage was to practice directly in planting these medicinal plants. The results showed a positive understanding of both groups for both the socialization and counseling stages as well as for the practice of medicinal plants cultivation. It could be concluded, the partner village activities in medicinal plants cultivation could improve the understanding of the target group.

Eugenia polyantha, one of Indonesian medicine plant, often used in society as traditional medicine and also Indonesian culinary additives. Daun salam is called Indonesian bay-leaf, the leaves contain only tiny amounts of an essential oil 0.2%. As main components, eugenol, methyl chavicol, and citral have been identified. Thus application to used of Eugenia polyantha have done. The aim of the present work was the application of Eugenia polyantha for food and health in the community area of Keraton Surakarta. The results indicated that Eugenia polyantha is of particular interest, since it may be an alternative way to carry out of food flavor simultanous as herbal medicine.

Consequences that arise as population growth and negative paradigm about fecal waste become one of unhealthy residential factors. However, if managed properly and correctly it can improve the welfare of the community. The management of biotic waste (biotin) into biotic and biococopit variations can be used to optimize the utilization of waste management. The management of this activity aims to cultivate environmental awareness, self-sufficiency of food and medicine, and optimization of narrow land use. The results to be achieved in this activity is community empowerment urban village Berkas is to improve the ability and skills of housewives in managing biotin variation as an effort to green the yard, coastal and family medical plants. Socialization is the initial stage of community empowerment. Counseling and training are the methods applied to this activity through personal and group approaches. Socialization is done by introducing variation of planting medium, plant type, and crop management. Meanwhile, the training that was carried out was planting, care and crop management. Optimization of narrow space utilization by utilizing biotin variation is expected to create a society with self-sufficient conditions of food and medicine. Introduction: Fennel plant is known as a medicine plant. Fennel plant parts that have the highest content is the seed. Essential oils, flavonoids, and saponins contained in fennel seed have an influence against candida albicans growth. Purpose: This study was conducted to determine the influence of various concentrations of fennel seed extract as a denture cleanser against candida albicans growth on acrilyc plate. Methods: This research was an experimental laboratoty and study design was an experimental with post test only control group design. Total sample is 30 acrilyc plate measuring 6x1 cm. The sample were divided into 6 groups, 5 groups were soaked in various concentrations of fennel seed extract (20%, 40%, 60%, 80%, 100%) and one groups was soaked in control positive polident. Soaking was done for 5 minutes. Candida albicans were incubated for 48 hours at 37˚C. The result of this study were analyzed by one-way ANOVA and LSD (Least Significance Difference). Results: Based on the one-way ANOVA test was done then obtained significance value of 0,000 (p0,05) which means there are no significant differences between two groups. Conclusion: The researchers’ conclusion that there was the influence of various concentration of fennel seed extract as a denture cleanser against candida albicans growth on aclilyc plate. Background: Lipid profile effects is a risk factor for Coronary Heart Disease. Soursop leaves (Annona muricata L) isa traditional medicine plant containing metabolic compounds that contribute to the improvement of the lipid profile.Objective: To determine the effects of soursop leaves extract on lipid profile (total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, HDLcholesterol and triglyceride).Methods: An experimental study using randomized pre-posttest with control group design. Sample consisted of 28 maleWistar rats, were divided into four groups. The control group (K) was only given High Fat High Cholesterol (HFHC)diet and treatment groups (P1, P2, P3) were given a HFHC diet plus Annona muricata L extract with doses of 100, 200and 300 mg/kgBB per day for 28 days respectively. Data were analyzed by Wilcoxon test, Kruskal-Wallis and MannWhitney.Results: The mean total cholesterol level significantly decreased in the treatment group P1 (p = 0.028) from 60.7 mg/dl(47.6-75.3) to 45.5 mg/dl (38.4-62.4). Mean HDL cholesterol level significantly increased in the treatment group P2(p=0.043) from 26.0 mg/dl (19.7-35.3) to 27.9 mg/dl (18.8-38.0). The mean levels of LDL cholesterol and triglyceridedecreased but not significantly.Conclusion: The administration of Annona muricata L extract can decrease total cholesterol and increase HDLcholesterol significantly.
