One of the requirements for a hadith to be considered sahih (authentic) is ghairul illat (absence of defects). In addition to the absence of illat, there are five conditions that must be fulfilled for a hadith to be classified as sahih. These conditions include the continuity of the chain of narrators (sanad), the reliability (adalah) of the narrators, their strong memorization, the absence of contradictions (syudzudz), and the absence of defects (illat). Illat in hadith refers to a hadith that appears to be sahih but upon further research is found to be weak. Scholars sometimes face difficulties in detecting hadiths with illat, requiring intuition, strong memorization, and a deep understanding of hadiths. Therefore, this writing aims to explore the aspects of illat in hadith from an ontological, epistemological, and axiological perspective. The methodology used in this research is content analysis using a literature-based approach or library research. The author utilizes scientific journals and studies on hadith in analyzing the data) [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
