This study investigates the relationship between diabetes comorbidity and COVID-19 severity in Muhammadiyah Palembang Hospital, focusing on hematological parameters as potential predictors of disease progression. Utilizing a case-control design with 61 respondents, demographic data, COVID-19 severity classifications, and hematological profiles were analyzed. Results reveal a prevalence rate of diabetes mellitus among COVID-19 patients at 32.8%, with diabetic individuals experiencing higher rates of moderate clinical complications. Hematological analysis demonstrates variations in parameters such as hemoglobin levels, platelet counts, and neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio between diabetic and non-diabetic COVID-19 patients. These findings underscore the importance of tailored interventions for diabetic individuals infected with COVID-19 and highlight the potential of hematological parameters in predicting disease severity. The study suggests the need for larger-scale, multicenter research to validate findings and inform evidence-based clinical practice in managing COVID-19 patients with comorbid diabetes mellitus.

Latar Belakang: Penguatan ketahanan pangan menjadi salah satu sektor kunci untuk mewujudkan gizi masyarakat yang optimal. Namun, capaian tingkat ketahanan pangan mencakup aspek penyediaan, stabilitas, aksesibilitas, dan penggunaan pangan di lingkup rumah tangga masih dikhawatirkan terjadi kesenjangan antar wilayah. Adanya pandemi COVID-19 turut menghambat upaya percepatan perbaikan gizi. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan strategi baru untuk memastikan terjaganya ketahanan pangan dan gizi saat situasi darurat sekalipun. Program P2L menjadi salah satu program prioritas dalam menjaga ketahanan pangan masyarakat. Namun, pelaksanaan program ini masih rentan terhadap keberlanjutan dalam implementasinya. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji sejauh mana program Pekarangan Pangan Lestari dalam menjaga ketahanan pangan dan gizi masyarakat dan perannya dalam upaya percepatan penurunan stunting di Kabupaten Sleman pada masa pandemi COVID-19 sebagai sarana perbaikan program kedepannya. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Metode pengambilan data dilakukan dengan wawancara mendalam, kuesioner, studi dokumentasi, dan observasi partisipatif. Ulasan: Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan pandemi COVID-19 berdampak nyata pada pemenuhan pangan tingkat rumah tangga Kabupaten Sleman. Pada masa pandemi COVID-19 dimana ruang gerak terbatas dan harga pangan yang fluktuatif, program P2L efektif dalam mendukung ketahanan pangan rumah tangga dengan berperan sebagai lumbung pangan hidup bagi masyarakat. Implementasi program P2L di Kabupaten Sleman baru memenuhi kebutuhan konsumsi sayuran, sementara kebutuhan protein hewani, protein nabati, pangan pokok, dan buah belum dapat memenuhi kebutuhan rumah tangga. Kesimpulan: Program P2L berdampak positif bagi masyarakat, tetapi perlu adanya inovasi integrasi tanaman-ternak-buah pada masing – masing kawasan serta melakukan penguatan kelembagaan agar program dapat lestari.

Latar belakang. Hingga 18 Mei 2020, 584 anak terkonfirmasi positif COVID-19 di Indonesia, mendorong upaya pencegahan melalui vaksinasi anak. Kendati Ikatan Dokter Anak Indonesia mendukung vaksinasi COVID-19 pada anak usia 6–11 tahun, terdapat keraguan (hesitancy) dan penolakan vaksin yang perlu dipahami faktornya. Tujuan. Penelitian bertujuan mengeksplorasi adanya keraguan terkait vaksinasi COVID-19 pada anak dan menganalisis faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi orang tua. Metode. Penelitian analitik kuantitatif dengan desain potong lintang, menggunakan data sekunder yang diperoleh dari penelitian sebelumnya yang merupakan bagian dari riset Academic Leadership Grant meliputi data demografis subjek penelitian, tingkat pengetahuan subjek penelitian mengenai COVID-19, serta status keraguan subjek penelitian terhadap vaksin COVID-19. Hasil. Didapat 613 subjek penelitian yaitu orang tua yang memiliki setidaknya satu orang anak berusia 6-12 tahun yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi dan tidak memenuhi kriteria eksklusi. Dari 613 subjek, sebagian besar memiliki skor pengetahuan COVID-19 yang baik pada 419 orang (68,4%) dan sebagian besar menunjukkan tanpa keraguan pada 546 (89,1%). Pendidikan terakhir (p=0,002

Background: On March 11 2020, WHO declared COVID-19 as a pandemic. One of the efforts to prevent, control and break the chain of transmission of COVID-19 in the community is to use a mask. However, apart from feeling uncomfortable, many complaints about acne due to the use of masks are found in the community. During the COVID-19 pandemic, a popular phenomenon appeared on social media, namely "Maskne", a combination of the words mask and acne. Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine the incidence of acne due to the use of masks. Methods: The approach used in this research is quantitative, cross- sectional with data collection techniques through questionnaires. Data analysis using SPSS version 16.0 software. Results: The results showed that the longer use of masks, the higher incidence of acne; the more steps of cleaning the face, the smaller severity of acne. Conclusion: The incidence of acne due to wearing mask during the COVID-19 pandemic correlates with the length of time wearing a mask. The type of mask, the colour of the mask and the variety of beauty products used are not correlated with an increase in the incidence of acne during the use of masks. Selama pandemi COVID-19 muncul fenomena yang populer pada media sosial yaitu “Maskne” gabungan kata mask dan acne. Tujuan: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui gambaran kejadian jerawat akibat menggunakan masker selama pandemi dan faktor yang menimbulkan jerawat akibat pemakaian masker. Metode: Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu kuantitatif, potong lintang dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui kuesioner. Analisis data dengan menggunakan software SPSS versi 16.0. Hasil: Hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa semakin lama pemakaian masker maka semakin tinggi angka kejadian jerawat; semakin banyak tahapan membersihkan wajah maka tingkat keparahan jerawat makin kecil. Kesimpulan: Insidensi jerawat akibat penggunaan masker pada pandemi COVID-19 berhubungan dengan lama penggunaan masker. The country has been facing the Covid-19 crisis that has affected the rest of the world in this decade. Numerous approaches and alternatives are implemented by the government to overcome this pandemic either controlled or stopped utterly. In order for the government to succeed, the emphasis on breaking the chain of infection of Covid-19 and the direction of the Movement Control Order (MCO) must be strengthened. Thus, the main goal of this study is to identify the level of patient’s knowledge regarding Covid-19 and Movement Control Order as well as to analyze the relationship between the level of knowledge about Covid-19 and Movement Control Order () among patients who come for treatment at the Kinarut Health clinic. Methodology: This study applies the quantitative research methodology, specifically surveys through questionnaires, whereas the sampling method used is systematic sampling with 200 patients in the Kinarut area. Analysis of instrument evaluation and sampling technique is also discussed in this study. Analysis: The finding showed that the patients' knowledge level about Covid-19 was at a moderate level with a mean value = 3.610, SD = 0.345. The level of knowledge relating to Movement Control Order (MCO) is also at a moderate level with a mean value = 3.610, SP = 0.345. Result: The correlation analysis showed that there is a strong relationship between the level of knowledge about Covid-19 and the level of knowledge of the Movement Control Order, with a correlation value of r = 0.71, p> 0.05. Thus, the results of this analysis show that there is a strong relationship between the variables of the knowledge level of Covid-19 and Movement Control Order in breaking the chain of infection Covid-19, particularly among patients who are living around Kinarut.

Abstrak. Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Corona-virus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) atau lebih dikenal Covid-19 adalah virus menular yang sangat berbahaya dan menular dengan cepat. Penyebaran Covid-19 terus menjadi tantangan global yang signifikan dan dapat menimbulkan kematian. Vaksinasi menjadi strategi penting dalam upaya mengendalikan penyebaran penyakit Covid-19 ini. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menunjukkan efktivitas vaksinasi dalam mengendalikan penyebaran Covid-19 di wilayah Sumatera Utara. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah melalui pengembangan dan analisis model matematika yang mempertimbangkan faktor-faktor kunci yang mempengaruhi penyebaran penyakit. Dalam model ini, kami menggabungkan parameter vaksinasi dengan variabel-variabel terkait penyebaran penyakit seperti tingkat kontak sosial, kekebalan populasi, dan faktor risiko lainnya. Vaksinasi dilakukan terhadap populasi rentan, Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa vaksinasi memiliki peran yang signifikan dalam mengendalikan penyebaran Covid-19 di Sumatera Utara. Dengan menggunakan model matematika, dapat memprediksi dampak vaksinasi terhadap penurunan jumlah kasus, tingkat kesembuhan, dan tingkat kematian terkait Covid-19. Selain itu, kami juga menganalisis skenario vaksinasi yang berbeda untuk mengevaluasi efektivitasnya dalam mengurangi penyebaran penyakit Hasil penelitian menunjukkan semakin besar populasi rentan yang divaksin akan memperlambat laju penularan sehingga mengurangi populasi terinfeksi. Analisis dari hasil simulasi menunjukkan bahwa 75% jumlah populasi di Provinsi Sumatera Utara melaksanakan vaksinasi memberikan penurunan jumlah populasi terinfeksi yang signifikan, grafik populasi terinfeksi turun melandai menuju nol, artinya kasus Covid-19 di Provinsi Sumatera Utara dalam kurun waktu tertentu berkurang secara signifikan, Covid-19 bukan pandemi lagi. Hasil penelitian ini dapat menjadi dasar bagi pengambilan keputusan yang berorientasi pada vaksinasi dan upaya pengendalian penyebaran Covid-19 di Sumatera Utara.

To prevent the transmission of COVID-19, the learning process that used to be face-to-face meetings has turned into online learning. In the online learning context, students’ satisfaction is one of the crucial aspects. However, limited research has looked at the factors contributing to students’ satisfaction in developing countries, including Indonesia. This study investigated the determinants of online learning satisfaction among undergraduate students in Indonesia during the pandemic COVID-19. A total of 267 students aged 17-28 years old (M=20.07, SD=1.40) were participated in this study through accidental sampling technique. This study applied a quantitative approach with six instruments: online learning satisfaction, online learning readiness, academic stress, learner-content interaction, learner-learner interaction, and learner-instructor interaction. Multiple regression analysis showed that only online learning readiness and learner-content interaction were contributed significantly to online learning satisfaction (R2 = .36, F (2,262) = 36.80, p .001). Furthermore, learner-content interaction had a more considerable contribution (b=1.41, p.001) to online learning satisfaction than online learning readiness (b=.15, p=.03). The theoretical and practical implications of this study are discussed.

Background: The SARS-CoV-2 mutation in the bodies of COVID-19 patients is a critical factor for health. Notably, in October 2022, the disease recovery rate in Sidoarjo (96.05%) was lower than the national rate (97.30%). Purpose: This study aims to identify the recovery time and its influencing factors in COVID-19 patients in Sidoarjo. Methods: The life-table method was used to conduct a survival analysis on data from the NAR COVID-19 dashboard in Sidoarjo from January 3 to August 4, 2022, which involved 20,662 respondents. Perilaku makan merupakan salah satu sarana yang dapat diupayakan dalam menopang kesehatan para tenaga medis. Zat makanan yang terdiri dari makronutrien dan mikronutiren yang dikonsumsi dengan jumlah sesuai yang dibutuhkan per harinya akan membantu sistem imunitas tubuh dalam mencegah paparan virus. Jumlah pasien yang terus meningkat, Keterbatasan fasilitas, dan jam kerja yang semakin panjang akan meningkatkan beban kerja tenaga medis yang dan dapat mempengaruhi perilaku makan sebagai mekanisme coping. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode potong lintang yang dimana sampel dari penelitian ini adalah tenaga medis di Provinsi Sumatera Selatan dengan tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan perilaku makan tenaga medis di Provinsi Sumatera Selatan saat Pandemi COVID-19.

This study examines the institutional changes and topographical landmarks within which the incident of death took place in the Moroccan context by focusing on the topic of in-hospital death during the COVID-19 pandemic. The complicated aspects surrounding the death arise from the process of medicalization, burial, and mourning among the relatives of the deceased. Methodologically, the research is based on a grounded phenomenological analysis of the experiences of relatives (50 participants) who lost their deaths in the first wave of the pandemic in four Moroccan cities: Rabat, Kenitra, Fez, and Missour. The study concludes that the negative attitude of Moroccans towards in-hospital death does not stem from the fragility of health services or the characteristics of loneliness and isolation, as revealed by Norbert Elias’s sociology. However, it closely links to the anthropological factors that construct the personal concept in the Moroccan context as a knot of relationships and looks at the body in its social, cultural and cosmological extensions. [Penelitian ini mengkaji perubahan institusional dan landmark topografis tempat terjadinya kematian dalam konteks masyarakat Maroko dengan fokus kematian di rumah sakit selama pandemi COVID-19. Aspek rumit kematian muncul selama proses penanganan medis, penguburan, dan perkabungan di antara kerabat almarhum. Secara metodologis, penelitian ini didasarkan pada analisis fenomenologis terhadap pengalaman 50 orang dari keluarga orang yang meninggal pada gelombang pertama pandemi COVID-19 di empat kota di Maroko: Rabat, Kenitra, Fez, dan Missour. Tulisan ini menyimpulkan bahwa sikap negatif masyarakat Maroko terhadap kematian di rumah sakit tidak berasal dari buruknya layanan kesehatan atau pun dari dampak isolasi dan rasa kesepian yang khas, seperti yang diungkapkan sosiologi Norbert Elias. Namun, sikap negatif tersebut erat terkait dengan faktor antropologis yang mengkonstruksi konsep personal dalam konteks masyarakat Maroko yang menjadi simpul hubungan sosial dan pandangan terhadap jasad dalam konteks sosial, budaya, dan kosmologi.]

The purpose of this study is to evaluate whether there are differences in non-performing financing and yield rates on mudharaba and musharaka financing of Islamic commercial banks in Indonesia, both before and during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study uses a quantitative method using a sample of 14 Islamic commercial banks in Indonesia. The data used is monthly secondary data obtained from Islamic banking statistics for 2017-2022. Data analysis was carried out using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov Test normality test and the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test non-parametric difference test using IBM SPSS 26 software. The results showed differences in non-performing financing and the rate of return on mudharaba and musharaka financing in the period before and during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The advancement of information and communication technology (ICT) has big effects on human life in many facets, one of them is in education. However, the use of this technology left some problems faced by its users. Therefore, this study aims to explore in-depth the kindergarten student parents’ perception of the use of WhatsApp in the teaching and learning process during the COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia. The study employed the exploratory study which engaged twenty-nine students’ parents in Lebak - Indonesia where online learning using WhatsApp was implemented. Then, six participants were voluntarily involved in the interview. The questionnaire and semi-structured interview were administered in collecting the data. The data from the questionnaire were analyzed in percentage while the content analysis technique was used in analyzing the data from the semi-structured interview. From the data analysis, this study reveals two major research findings. Firstly, the use of WhatsApp helped students in learning during the COVID-19 pandemic and physical distancing, establishes student and teacher communication, Secondly, technical problems were found such as unstable internet connection, student-teacher communication and interaction are not maximized, and lastly, after a long period, the students got bored. In brief, the use of WhatsApp can be used as an alternative teaching platform in the COVID-19 age on the one hand, on the other hand, its’ usage faced barriers such as unstable internet connection.

Outbreak of Corona virus disease (Covid) in 2020 affected people’s life, particularly adolescents. Loneliness was one of the problems that adolescents faced during the outbreak of Covid-19. Loneliness could affect adolescents health, both mental and physical health. On the other hands, there were a lot of factors that related to loneliness among adolescents. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to explore the factors associated with loneliness in adolescents in Indonesia during the Covid-19 pandemic. Methodology this study was a cross-sectional study. The respondents in this study were 590 adolescents. This study was using some questionnaires that distributed online by social media. The questionnaire included the Connor Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC)-25, the UCLA loneliness Scale version 3, and demographic characteristics. Hierarchical linear regression was performed to investigate the determinant factors of loneliness among adolescents. Results this current study found that age group of 16-19 YO (β = .117); female adolescents (β = .095); trust in one’s instincts, tolerance to negative affect, and strengthening effects of stress (β = .130); and spiritual influence (β = .094) were associated with increasing loneliness in adolescents. For the positive acceptance of change, and secure relationship (β = -.289); and control (β = -.273) were associated with lower likelihood of having loneliness. Conclusion this current study found that age group of 16-19 YO; female adolescents; trust in one’s instincts, tolerance to negative affect, and strengthening effects of stress; and spiritual influence were associated with increasing loneliness in adolescents. For the positive acceptance of change, and secure relationship; and control were associated with lower likelihood of having loneliness. The current results, particularly the identification of associated factors, should be useful for developing loneliness-prevention program.

The real sector and the financial sector have been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic for approximately 2 years. It condition makes the banking financial sector pay attention to the level of operational expenses efficiency and be careful in channeling financing in order to reduce the occurrence of bad financing caused by defaults from customers. Analysis of the capabilities of Islamic banks in Indonesia in terms of operational cost efficiency and managing problematic financing in conditions before and during the Covid-19 pandemic so that the ability of Islamic banks to manage their financial performance will be known is the aim of this research. Saturated sampling was the technique for sampling this research from the research population of 14 Islamic commercial banks in Indonesia. Documentation is used as a technique in collecting data from the combined financial reports of 14 Islamic commercial banks. Data before the pandemic can be seen from the 2018-2019 financial reports, while 2020-2021 data during the pandemic. Paired sample t-test with Jamovi media was used as a data analysis technique. The findings of this research show that during the Covid-19 pandemic, the level of efficiency and non-performing financing of Islamic banks has decreased, meaning that the financial performance of Islamic banks is better and operating costs are more efficient, problem financing is reduced, so that the potential for increased profitability is higher. This research was done to discern changes in food consumption behavior in Indonesia two years after the emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic. Primary data for this research was gathered through questionnaires distributed from 26 June 2022 until 26 July 2022 to 258 respondents living in Bandung, Indonesia, using a simple random sampling method, which was then processed with SPSS. Results showed that people’s food consumption levels increased. Furthermore, changes in food consumption behavior are also identified, such as increased grocery and food purchases through online applications and increased cooking time. People also eat with their family more often, rather than eating out. The relatively more controlled COVID-19 situation also made people calmer and felt no need to stock up on foods with longer storage lives. This research faces a limitation regarding its respondents’ diversity. Follow-up research can be conducted to address the decrease in personal employees’ work level identified in this research

Covid-19 is a disease that can easily spread and infect anyone, including medical personnel. Handling COVID by health workers such as doctors, is faced with a dilemma because the disease itself is easy to transmit to other people. Doctors are a profession that is at the forefront of dealing directly with Covid-19. In conditions like this, doctors sometimes become victims/died in order to protect the public from the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic. This type of research is normative juridical with the main sources of legal material being the Civil Code and the Criminal Code and Law no. 36 of 2009 concerning Health. Law Number 36 of 2009 concerning Health Article 83 paragraph 2 states that the government guarantees legal protection for everyone according to their abilities. The importance of fulfilling the rights of doctors to be able to work accsording to medical standards. In the critical condition of the Covid-19 pandemic as it is today, the availability of PPE for doctors is one of the essential elements that must be met for doctors to fulfill the element of safety for doctors. In civil law, the doctor-patient relationship states that doctors in carrying out medical practice have the right to obtain complete, honest and clear information from patients or their families. health, then this can lead to criminal acts that are included in acts of persecution or crimes that endanger public safety for people.

Introduction: When a disaster strikes, non-profit organizations working in the field of donations will be beneficial, as their role is to raise funds and direct them toward disaster recovery. A large number of internet and social media users in Indonesia provides opportunities for non-profit organizations to use social media strategies in fundraising promotions. Therefore, this study examined the relationship between non-profit organization strategies on social media such as interactivity and disclosure, as well as transaction safety in influencing the intention to donate in the Covid-19 case in Indonesia. The non-profit organization in this study was a non-profit organization that raised funds through social media for Covid-19 assistance. Social media in this study was not specific to one platform, but to Instagram and Facebook users who know the non-profit organization. Methods: The study was conducted on Indonesians who have social media accounts and know about the social media of non-profit organizations that were raising funds for Covid-19. Findings: The study found that interactivity, disclosure, and transaction safety influenced the intention to donate through trust mediation. However, these factors have no direct impact on donation intention. Therefore, trust is an important factor in implementing social media strategies for non-profit organizations because it is the full mediator in this case. Originality: This study was novel in that it examined the effect of social media strategy on intention to donate, taking into account the perception of payment safety, specifically for the promotion of Covid-19 fundraising through social media by non-profit organizations in Indonesia.

This research aims to analyze the comparative financial performance of Islamic insurance companies before and during the Covid-19 pandemic. The financial performance measured refers to the early warning system ratios, which consist of the underwriting, liquidity, own retention, premium stability, and loss ratios. This research is a descriptive quantitative research using the Wilcoxon test. The research population is all Islamic insurance companies registered with the Financial Services Authority (FSA) for 2018-2021. The sample was selected based on purposive sampling so that 48 observation data were obtained. Data comes from financial reports obtained through the official FSA and Company websites. The research results show significant differences in financial performance before and during the pandemic in the liquidity and loss ratio variables. However, there is no significant difference in financial performance before and during the pandemic in the underwriting ratio, own retention ratio, and premium stability ratio variables. This research can complement existing theories and become a reference for companies to evaluate and improve their financial performance, especially after the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstrak Pandemi COVID-19 menunjukkan kasus peningkatan dan menuntut respon layanan kesehatan. Puskesmas Air Naningan merupakan Puskesmas rawat inap terbanyak merawat pasien COVID-19 yaitu 6 orang dan Puskesmas Margoyoso merawat 3 orang pasien. Pelaksana pelayanan masih terhambat masalah tenaga medis, keterbatasan peralatan dan vaksin serta kapasitas ruangan. Penelitian bertujuan mendeskripsikan manajemen pelayanan pasien COVID-19 di ruang isolasi yang difokuskan pada unsur man, money, material, method dan machine. Jenis penelitian adalah kualitatif. Tehnik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara mendalam. Teknik sampling menggunakan purpossive yang terdiri dari 1 orang informan kunci yaitu Kepala Bidang Pelayanan Kesehatan Dinas Kesehatan Kabupaten Tanggamus, 2 orang informan utama yaitu Kepala UPTD Puskesmas Margoyoso dan Air Naningan serta 2 orang informan pendukung yaitu penanggung jawab ruang isolasi di kedua Puskesmas tersebut. Analisis isi menggunakan koding, kategori dan tema. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan gambaran pelayanan pasien COVID-19 di ruang isolasi pada aspek man dibutuhkan tambahan SDM untuk mengurangi beban kerja. Pada aspek money sudah tersedia pembiayaan berasal dari bantuan alat dan barang dari Dinas Kesehatan Kabupaten dan dana operasional Puskesmas (BOK dan JKN) dan dana insentif. Pada aspek material sarana sudah tersedia dan pedoman Kementerian Kesehatan sudah menjadi acuan pelayanan. Pada aspek method telah ditetapkan Standard Operational Procedure dan ketersediaan alat dan bahan melindungi tenaga kesehatan. Pada aspek machine logistik mampu memaksimalkan tata laksana kasus COVID-19 yang dirawat ruang isolasi. Background: Myopia (nearsightedness) is an eye condition when a far object reflection is focused in front of the retina without accommodation, so far object cannot be seen clearly. The elongation of the eye's axial length primarily causes myopia. Lack of outdoor activities and excessive near work (screentime) during home confinement duringthe COVID-19 pandemic have increased the risk of myopia development, primarily in school children. Objective: This study aims to see children's myopic progression during the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: This research was an observational analytic study by a retrospective cohort about children's myopic progression based on the difference between the spherical equivalent (SE) of 34 patients in RSUP Dr. M. Djamil from before (September 2019–February 2020) followed up to late (September 2021–February 2022) of COVID-19 pandemic from their medical records. Results: The results showed that myopic progression majorly occurredin children who were females (47.0%), had myopic parents (67.6%), ≥ 2 hours of outdoor activity (61.7%), > 5 hours of screentime (79.4%); with slow annualized myopic progression (61.7%). Latar Belakang: COVID-19 merupakan penyakit baru yang masuk di Indonesia dengan insidensi yang terus bertambah dan diikuti oleh angka mortalitas yang cenderung naik. Terdapat beberapa faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi tingkat keparahan dan risiko kematian pada penyakit ini, contohnya seperti usia, jenis kelamin, dan komorbiditas. Objektif: Untuk mengetahui karakteristik jenazah terkonfirmasi COVID-19 yang ditatalaksana sesuai pedoman tatalaksana jenazah di RSUP. Dr. M. Djamil Padang dan RS. Unand. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif retrospektif. Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah total sampling. Pengumpulan data dengan melihat data jenazah yang berasal dari rekam medis dan buku registrasi forensik. Hasil: Hasil penelitian didapatkan jenazah COVID-19 terbanyak berada di kelompok umur 51-60 tahun, berjenis kelamin laki-laki, komorbiditas tertinggi berupa DM tipe 2. Tempat perawatan terbanyak adalah ruang isolasi biasa dan jenazah paling banyak dimakamkan di TPU selain yang ditetapkan pemerintah. Kesimpulan: Peningkatan risiko kematian akibat COVID-19 dapat dipengaruhi oleh beberapa hal seperti usia, jenis kelamin dan komorbiditas dan masyarakat diharapkan untuk dapat mematuhi peraturan yang telah ditetapkan pemerintah seperti mengikuti aturan lokasi pemakaman jenazah terkonfirmasi COVID-19 untuk menekan angka persebaran penyakit ini. Latar Belakang: Hipertensi merupakan komorbid utama pada pasien COVID-19. Pasien dengan komorbid hipertensi memiliki faktor risiko kematian lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan pasien tanpa hipertensi. Pasien COVID-19 dengan hipertensi cenderung memiliki viral load yang lebih tinggi, dengan demikian akan didapatkan hasil nilai CT yang rendah dari pemeriksaan RT-PCR. Objektif: Mengetahui hubungan nilai CT dengan derajat penyakit COVID-19 dan luaran klinis pada pasien dewasa dengan komorbid hipertensi yang terkonfirmasi positif COVID-19 di RSUP Dr. M. Djamil Padang tahun 2021. Metode: Jenis penelitian ini adalah analitik cross-sectional study dengan menggunakan data sekunder yang diperoleh dari rekam medik pada bulan Mei 2022-Juni 2022. Sampel mencakup semua pasien dewasa dengan komorbid hipertensi yang terkonfirmasi positif COVID-19 yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi. Hasil: Terdapat 153 pasien yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi dalam penelitian ini. Sebagian besar pasien berusia ≥60 tahun (60,8%), berjenis kelamin laki-laki (58,8%), menderita hipertensi derajat 2 (52,9%), memiliki riwayat hipertensi >5 tahun (62,7%), terkonfirmasi COVID-19 derajat berat-kritis (54,2%), dengan luaran klinis pasien meninggal (54,2%). Hasil analisis didapatkan masing-masing p=0,001 untuk hubungan nilai CT dengan derajat penyakit COVID-19 dan luaran klinis. Kesimpulan: Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara nilai CT dengan derajat penyakit COVID-19 dan luaran klinis pada pasien dewasa dengan komorbid hipertensi yang terkonfirmasi positif COVID-19. Kelompok komorbiditas diketahui menjadi kelompok yang rentan terinfeksi Covid-19. KIPI akibat vaksin Covid-19 dibedakan menjadi reaksi lokal dan reaksi sistemik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi KIPI akibat penggunaan vaksin Covid-19 pada kelompok komorbiditas di Desa Blaru Kecamatan Pati Kabupaten Pati. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis deskriptif dengan menggunakan pendekatan metode cross sectional. Jumlah total responden dalam penelitian sebanyak 92 orang masyarakat di Desa Blaru Kecamatan Pati Kabupaten Pati dan telah mendapatkan kedua dosis vaksin Covid-19. Vaksin Covid-19 yang digunakan diantaranya Sinovac, Astra Zeneca, Moderna, Pfizer, dan Biofarma. Berdasarkan karakteristik usia mayoritas 26-55 tahun sebanyak 59,8%; karakteristik jenis kelamin mayoritas wanita sebanyak 64,1%; karakteristik komorbid mayoritas hipertensi sebanyak 23,9%. Disamping itu, 68,5% responden tidak mengalami KIPI; 9,8% responden mengalami kelelahan; 6,5% responden mengalami demam; 5,4% responden mengalami nyeri di tempat suntik; 3,3 % responden mengalami pusing, nyeri sendi, dan kedinginan atau menggigil. Kesimpulan penelitian ini yaitu tidak terdapat hubungan antara penyakit penyerta dengan KIPI vaksinasi Covid-19 karena hasil p (value) ≥ 0,05.

COVID-19 merupakan penyakit pandemi di seluruh dunia. Jumlah kasus baru COVID-19 dari tahun ke tahun sudah semakin berkurang. Namun, kasus COVID-19 masih tetap ada di masyarakat, karena kesadaran masyarakat mengenai pencegahan penyakit mulai berkurang. Pemeriksaan yang rutin dilakukan dalam menegakkan diagnosis COVID-19 adalah radiografi toraks. Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat mengenai pemeriksaan radiografi toraks sebagai pemeriksaan rutin dalam menegakkan penyakit COVID-19. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode pre and post-test design yaitu memberikan penyuluhan tentang penegakan diagnosa COVID-19 dengan pemeriksaan radiografi toraks disertai dengan kuesioner pre dan post penyuluhan. Hasil dari pengabdian masyarakat didapatkan rata-rata nilai pre-test 69 dan rata-rata nilai post-test 83. Kesimpulan pada pengabdian masyarakat didapatkan peningkatan pengetahuan peserta yang dilihat dari nilai post-test bila dibandingkan nilai pre-test.

The COVID-19 vaccination policy was issued by the Indonesian Government to tackle the COVID-19 pandemic. The Kendal District Health Service as an implementing element of government affairs plays a role in implementing the COVID-19 vaccination as an effort to fulfil the right to health of the people of Kendal. Several obstacles in implementing vaccination mean that vaccination coverage is not optimal and tends to decrease. This research aims to find out about the arrangements and implementation, as well as the factors that influence the implementation of the role of the Kendal District Health Service in implementing the COVID-19 vaccination. This research uses a sociological juridical approach with analytical descriptive specifications. Primary data through observation and interviews, and secondary data through literature study. The sample was selected using a purposive sampling method and research data was analyzed using qualitative analysis. The results of this research show that there are many adequate regulations regarding the implementation of the role of the Kendal District Health Service in implementing the COVID-19 vaccination. Implementation of the role of the Health Service is imperative because implementing vaccination is the responsibility and obligation of the Health Service, namely carrying out needs planning, targeting health facilities, providing vaccines and other logistics, implementing COVID-19 vaccination services, recording and reporting, implementing communication strategies, monitoring and overcoming AEFI. Covid-19, as well as monitoring and evaluation. Beberapa kendala dalam pelaksanaan vaksinasi membuat cakupan vaksinasi tidak maksimal dan cenderung turun. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui mengenai pengaturan dan pelaksanaan, serta faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pelaksanaan peran Dinas Kesehatan Kabupaten Kendal dalam pelaksanaan vaksinasi Covid-19. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan yuridis sosiologis dengan spesifikasi deskriptif analitis. Data primer melalui observasi dan wawancara, serta data sekunder melalui studi pustaka. Sampel dipilih dengan metode purposive sampling dan data penelitian dianalisis dengan analisis kualitatif. Hasil Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ada banyak peraturan yang memadai terkait pengaturan pelaksanaan peran Dinas Kesehatan Kabupaten Kendal dalam pelaksanaan vaksinasi Covid-19. Pelaksanaan peran Dinas Kesehatan bersifat imperatif karena pelaksanaan vaksinasi merupakan tanggung jawab dan kewajiban Dinas Kesehatan yaitu melakukan perencanaan kebutuhan, penetapan sasaran fasyankes, penyediaan vaksin dan logistik lainnya, pelaksanaan pelayanan vaksinasi Covid-19, pencatatan dan pelaporan, melaksanakan strategi komunikasi, pemantauan dan penanggulangan KIPI Covid-19, serta monitoring dan evaluasi. Pelaksanaan peran Dinas Kesehatan dalam pelaksanaan vaksinasi Covid-19 sudah berjalan lancar tetapi belum optimal yang dipengaruhi faktor yuridis yaitu penegakan sanksi administrasi belum berjalan dan surat edaran terbaru vaksin booster II untuk masyarakat umum sebatas himbauan. Faktor sosiologis antara lain persepsi positif masyarakat pada vaksin Covid-19 akan mendukung vaksinasi, sedangkan persepsi negatif menghambat vaksinasi. Pada faktor teknis, umur vaksin pendek, vaksin dari Provinsi tidak sesuai dengan usulan kebutuhan dari Kabupaten, rantai dingin vaksin tidak selalu terjaga, Indeks Pemakaian (IP) vaksin tidak selalu sesuai dengan jumlah sasaran, dan kurang gencarnya strategi komunikasi dengan komunikasi risiko.

The Practice of Shamanism Continues into Modern Society. To survive and grow, shamans follow the development of the times and continuously adapt to technological advancements. This research aims to explore the utilization of information technology in shamanic practices during the Covid-19 pandemic. The research method used is qualitative, using modernization theory. The results show the existence of shamanic practices utilizing information technology during the Covid-19 pandemic. The research subjects use features of information technology such as phone calls, video calls, and WhatsApp to provide services to their patients. Information technology is also used for promoting their services; they use Facebook and Instagram for this purpose. The utilization of information technology is done to increase the number of patients and to heal both mild and severe illnesses, including curing Covid-19 patients. Their patients feel comfortable because they do not have to travel far to meet with the shaman. This research concludes that the utilization of information technology has expanded into shamanic practices since the Covid-19 pandemic hit the world.

The Indonesian Ulema Council (Majelis Ulama Indonesia, MUI) was stigmatised as an institution accommodating conservative Islamic groups’ interests post-New Order. However, the religious fatwas produced by the MUI during the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 had prioritised independence so that it returned to its original role, namely as a translator of government policies. For this reason, this article aims to examine the MUI fatwas and its relationship to state policies in tackling the spread of Covid-19. It is a qualitative research study with a historical approach, examining the content of seven fatwas issued by the Fatwa Commission (Komisi Fatwa) between March and July 2020 as the primary data sources. This study found that MUI’s legal arguments and methods are more inclusive, flexible, and progressive towards socio-religious problems. These fatwas have become a reference for the government in taking policies to suppress the spread of Covid-19. It is reinforced by the fact that several fatwas issued by MUI were used as guidelines by the government in formulating policies to curb the spread of Covid-19. Therefore, the authors argue that the MUI’s fatwa politics not only serve the interests of the Muslim community but also align with the state’s interests in tackling the spread of Covid-19. Thus, the debate regarding the stigmatisation of the role of MUI can be dismissed through these findings, providing new insights into the dynamic interplay between religious and legal frameworks.

Globally, the COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted all spheres of the education industry, including libraries. The absence of emergency plans for unforeseen situations like COVID-19 disrupted regular operation and demanded the adoption of new operational protocols. The objectives of this paper are to examine the impact of COVID-19 on library operations, to identify the challenges encountered in libraries, to examine the changes in users’ service preference, and to reflect on the best practice for library operations in the future. To achieve these research objectives, both qualitative and quantitative research methods were employed. Surveys and interviews were conducted to understand changes in users’ service access, librarians’ daily work, and the library operations. Based on the findings, we reflect on how libraries should perform in the future for the best interests of their users.

Penanganan anak ASD membutuhkan kolaborasi dari berbagai profesional. Pendamping yang paling utama tentunya adalah keluarga. Tempat pendampingan yang lain seperti pusat terapi dan fasilitas kesehatan juga sangat menunjang stimulasi bagi anak ASD. Salah satu fasilitas dari pemerintah yang ada di daerah dalam pendampingan anak ASD adalah Pusat Layanan Autis (PLA). Akibat pandemi covid-19 layanan tersebut terpaksa harus ditutup sebagai bentuk kepatuhan terhadap aturan pemerintah agar varian baru tidak menyebar. Keberadaan anak ASD yang butuh penanganan komprehensif ditambah situasi pandemi dan penutupan sementara PLA membawa keluarga pada kondisi negatif (stres, cemas, dan mungkin depresi). Situasi yang masih belum diketahui akhirnya membutuhkan adaptasi. Ketidakmampuan beradaptasi membawa pada berbagai kesulitan yang akan terus dihadapi. Resiliensi menjadi penting bagi setiap keluarga anak ASD. Penelitian ini dilakukan sebagai langkah awal dalam mengatasi dampak yang diakibatkan oleh pandemi covid-19 khususnya dampak psikologis dengan memahami bagaimana hubungan resiliensi terhadap fungsi keluarga yang memiliki anak ASD di masa Pandemi Covid-19. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan rancangan cross sectional. Variabel bebas dari penelitian ini yaitu resiliensi dan variabel tergantungnya adalah fungsi keluarga. Subjek penelitian adalah 33 orangtua anak ASD dan dipilih secara random. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya korelasi positif dan signifikan antara resiliensi dan fungsi keluarga. Resiliensi berkontribusi 22,6% terhadap fungsi keluarga.

This research is an attempt to understand communication and local wisdom centered on mamak (MmK) and kamanakan (KmN) communication in the Minangkabau community in West Sumatra in tackling the Covid-19 pandemic. The research is motivated by the reality of the world which is experiencing a crisis due to the Covid-19 pandemic, which has caused many setbacks in all fields, especially in the social, cultural and economic fields. Data analysis was carried out by exploring and narrating community experiences, and analyzing domains that are considered potential for developing cultural communication, maintaining local wisdom and communication gaps between generations. The results of the study show that the MmK – KmN communication is still quite well maintained and useful for the educational process and solving problems that arise as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. However, the vertical communication pattern from top to bottom places MMK as the party that knows best about the problem of communication generations gaps, so it must be modified according to the development of KmN's knowledge which is more technologically literate and has more access to various sources of information.

Remaja merupakan masa seseorang akan mencari dan membentuk identitas dirinya. Dalam membentuk identitas diri remaja perlu beradaptasi di lingkungan sosial yang ada di kehidupan remaja. Kemunculan pandemi COVID-19 membuat remaja memiliki keterbatasan untuk mencari identitas melalui lingkungan sosial akibat pembatasan kegiatan secara tatap muka. Akibat tersebut membuat remaja memiliki lingkungan sosial yang terbatas untuk mengeksplorasi diri sehingga melakukan pelarian bermain game online. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengeksplorasi dinamika pembentukan identitas diri yang terjadi pada remaja pemain game online di dunia virtual pada masa pandemi COVID-19. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan paradigma fenomenologi. Penelitian ini menggunakan wawancara semi terstruktur. Kriteria partisipan yang digunakan yaitu remaja dengan usia 18-22 tahun yang bermain game online lebih dari 3 jam perhari pada masa pandemi COVID-19. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa proses pembentukan diri seorang remaja melalui proses eksplorasi dan komitmen yang dipengaruhi pengalaman dan relasi yang terjadi di dunia virtual. Temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa remaja mengalami kesulitan membentuk identitas diri di dunia virtual akibat ketidakpastian dan perbedaan cara menghadapi masalah di dunia nyata dan virtual.

The COVID-19 pandemic cases affect health and the economy and have become a burden for the global community. Effective and specific antiviral for COVID-19 is still controversial and has yet to be found. Antiviral use is the main mitigation strategy that tends to be more cost-effective but varies in effectiveness and cost depending on various factors. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness, safety, and cost of antiviral therapy in moderate COVID-19. This observational-analytic study used a retrospective cohort design. Subjects were hospitalized patients with moderate COVID-19 who received antivirals in July-October 2021 and January-March 2022. Therapy effectiveness was measured by lowered NLR (Neutrophil-to-Lymphocyte Ratio) to a normal level and length of stay (LOS). Drug safety includes adverse drug events. The cost of therapy was calculated based on the hospital’s perspective (provider), using direct medical costs. A total of 170 patients were divided into two groups (94 patients remdesivir and 76 patients favipiravir). In this arm, there were 45 patients with lowered NLR (21 patients reached the target and 24 patients did not). The effectiveness of favipiravir and remdesivir was 70.6% and 32.1%. Remdesivir may lower NLR (2.92) versus favipiravir (1.55). Favipiravir had a shorter LOS than remdesivir (8 vs 9 days). Adverse drug events observed in remdesivir were nausea (47.9%) and abdominal pain (22.3%), while in favipiravir nausea (53.9%) and vomiting (22.4%). The average total cost of remdesivir is higher than favipiravir (IDR 19,772,985 vs IDR 13,819,727). Favipiravir has higher efficacy and a shorter LOS with a lower average total cost than remdesivir.

The purpose of this research was to reveal the phenomenon of the kebyar dudukpeliatan dance during the COVID-19 pandemic. In general, Balinese performing arts activities are very rare because of the red zone and demands for adaptation to health protocols. However, the kebyar duduk dance in the peliatan style was seen being performed. The performance of the kebyar duduk dance in the peliatan style during the COVID-19 pandemic looked different from usual. The questions are: 1) What is the form of the kebyar dudukpeliatan performance during the COVID-19 pandemic?; 2) What was the impact of staging the kebyar duduk peliatanperformance during the COVID-19 pandemic?. This research was completed based on qualitative methods. Secondary data was obtained through literature studies on COVID-19 and the kebyar duduk dance. While the primary data was obtained by means of observation and interviews with informants in Ubud. All data were analyzed qualitatively with aesthetic theory and practice theory. The results of the research show : (1) the people of Ubud present the kebyar duduk peliatan dance through digital technology; (2) the presentation of the kebyar dudukpeliatan dance through digital media has a positive impact on flexibility in learning the kebyar duduk peliatan dance and has a negative impact on the enculturation of the kebyar duduk peliatanperformance in the culture of the Ubud people.

Decreased immunity is a risk factor for viral respiratory infections, underscoring the crucial role of balanced diets to support the immune system. Therefore, this study aimed to determine the eating habits of people in the location based on balanced nutrition guidelines during the Covid-19 pandemic. A cross-sectional design was used and the samples included 3394 respondents who met the criteria of being ≥15 years old and living in the provinces of Central Java, East Java, Riau, and Southeast Sulawesi. Data were collected using a Google form-based online questionnaire filled out independently by respondents. The gathered data comprised compliance with balanced nutrition recommendations for consuming staples, protein-rich foods, fruits, vegetables, water, salt, sugar, and oil. In addition, diet was also observed based on several sociodemographic variables. The results showed that during the Covid-19 pandemic, 75.7% of respondents had not fulfilled intake according to balanced nutrition advice due to insufficient fruit consumption. However, about 60.6% consistently used dietary supplements, and 77.8% did not limit salt, sugar, as well as oil intake. The population at more risk of inadequate nutrition included younger age groups, males, those with low education, unemployed, and living in areas with high Covid-19 cases. This study concluded that during the Covid-19 pandemic, many Indonesians did not implement a diet based on the principles of balanced nutrition. Therefore, education on the importance of balanced nutrition consumption, local food campaigns, cheap markets, and food aid was needed, specifically for rarely consumed diets such as fruit, by targeting the most vulnerable groups.

Mild, moderate, severe, and critical COVID-19 are associated with hyperinflammation. The CRP and ferritin are acute phase proteins that marks incidence of inflammation and used as the paramaters of hyperinflammation. This study aimed to determine the validity of CRP and ferritin level examination in moderate and severe COVID-19 since the time of admission. This was a cross-sectional analytical retrospective study with on moderate and severe COVID-19 patients admitted to Dr. Hasan Sadikin General Hospital Bandung, Indonesia, during the period of March 2020 to December 2020. The CRP and ferritin levels were obtained since the beginning of admission to the fourth day since admission on patients without any history of anemia. Subjects in this study were divided into moderate and severe COVID-19 groups based on the 3rd edition of COVID-19 Prevention and Control Guideline issued by the Ministry of Health Republic of Indonesia. Each group consisted of 30 subjects. The cut-off value was 7.65 mg/dL (AUC 0.698) for CRP and 963.1 mcg/L (AUC 0.938) for ferritin. The validity of ferritin vs CRP were reflected respectively as follows: 93.3% vs 76.7% sensitivity; 80.0% vs 63.3% specificity; 82.4% vs 67.6% PPV; and 92.3% vs 73.1% NPV. The validity of ferritin was proven to be superior as it significantly increases since day one, persisted longer and reaches its peak on the16th day. Meanwhile, CRP increases within 6-8 hours and reaches its peak within 48 hours after inflammation, then declines soon afterwards.

Since the COVID-19 pandemic occurred all over the world, numerous studies were carried out to overcome this problem, including COVID-19 image analysis. An expert analysis based on the Chest X-ray images of COVID-19 determines the progression of the lung condition. Eye visualization and expertise of a radiologist have limitations in handling big cases. This study aims to implement the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) and MobileNet models as deep learning models to classify chest X-ray images into multiclassification, three categories: COVID-19, normal, and virus. The processes were pre-processing and processing. The pre-processing stage was preparing data, and the processing stage was the implementation model and investigating the best model performance in both convolution and classification in depth-wise convolution and batch normalization. The metrics were accuracy, precision, f1-score, and recall. The CNN results of accuracy, precision, recall, and f1-score respectively were 0.94; 0.99; 0.95; and 0.96. The MobileNet results of the metrics were 0.97; 0.98; 0.99, and 0.99. The MobileNet outperforms the CNN results due to depth-wise convolution and batch normalization. Both models contribute to the faster epoch of the best hyperparameter to achieve loss and accuracy convergence. The models are worth recommending to deployment front-end.

The challenge of the COVID-19 Pandemic is usually reduced to a mere medical and health problem, while one can observe its sizeable influence on economic, cultural, political and moral domains, too. In Muslim countries, moral conflict becomes one of the significant challenges of COVID-19 affecting people’s lives. Staying at home and its relationship with livelihood is one of the most complicated of these conflicts. In this essay, the authors assess and expose this moral conflict using the ethical doctrines of the Islamic religion rooted in the moral law of Movasat Altruism. There are four strategies in the principle of Movasat for overcoming the crisis: (1) uprooting poverty and reducing social-economic inequality; (2) job creation and supporting the production cycle; (3) eliminating unnecessary brokers; and (4) strengthening sympathy, empathy, and love within society. [Tantangan akibat Pandemi COVID-19 banyak difokuskan hanya sebatas masalah medis dan kesehatan saja, padahal pengaruhnya juga terlihat cukup besar dalam bidang ekonomi, budaya, politik, dan moral. Di negara-negara Muslim, konflik moral menjadi salah satu tantangan signifikan akibat COVID-19 yang berdampak pada kehidupan masyarakat. Tinggal di rumah dan hubungannya dengan penghidupan merupakan contoh salah satu konflik yang cukup rumit. Dalam tulisan ini, penulis berupaya mengungkap konflik moral ini dengan menggunakan doktrin etika agama Islam yang berakar pada hukum moral altruisme Movasat. Ada empat strategi dalam prinsip Movasat untuk mengatasi krisis: (1) memberantas kemiskinan dan mengurangi kesenjangan sosial ekonomi; (2) menciptakan lapangan kerja dan mendukung siklus produksi; (3) menghilangkan perantara yang tidak diperlukan; dan (4) memperkuat simpati, empati, dan rasa cinta kasih dalam masyarakat.]

Background: Vaccination is an action to raise immunity actively by injecting an antigen substance to trigger the formation of antibodies to be immune from the disease or only experience mild symptoms. According to data from the Padang City Health Office, the North Padang sub-district is included in 5 sub-districts with low vaccination coverage. Objective: This study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge and the intention of dental clinic patients to carry out COVID-19 vaccination in the sub-district area of Padang Utara. Methods: This research is an analytical study using a Cross-Sectional design study approach with chii-square test. The sample in this study was 107 respondents using purposive sampling techniqueobtained from research questionnaires filled out by respondents. Data analysis using univariate and bivariate analysis processed by using SPSS.Results: 58.9% of respondents have good knowledge about vaccinating, and 66.4% are willing to vaccinate. 23.8% of respondents who had good knowledge but had a low intention to carry out COVID-19 vaccination, and as many 76.2% of respondents who had good knowledge with a high intention to carry out COVID-19 vaccination and obtained significant results with a p-value = 0.005 (

The objective of this study is to examine the associations between levels of population density and the transmission of COVID-19 in Indonesia. Descriptive analysis is employed to determine the data distribution of the response variable (dependent variable Y) as well as the independent variables X1 and X2. Therefore, inferential analysis is a quantitative technique that involves examining a sample in order to draw conclusions about a larger population. The present investigation has revealed a statistically significant positive connection (r = 0.954) between the incidence of COVID-19 patients and population density in Indonesia. The Model Summary provides the R value (Correlation Coefficient) of 0.959, indicating a strong positive correlation between the variables. Additionally, the multiple correlation coefficient r (Multiple R) is 0.920, which represents the determination index or the proportion of the influence of X on Y. Therefore, it can be asserted that 92% of COVID-19 cases are driven by population density and the number of individuals experiencing employment terminations, whilst the remaining 8% is affected by additional factors. The regression equation can be constructed from the Coefficients table in the following manner: The equation can be expressed as . The calculation of the Standard Error of the Estimate (SE) yields a value of 8151.076 or 8151. The standardized coefficient (Beta) of 1.381 represents the extent of association between the number of COVID-19 infection cases and population density.

Background: Healthcare workers’ (HCWs) vaccination hesitancy during a pandemic can be problematic for the health system as these workers need to be fully vaccinated. Aims: This study aimed to determine the level of vaccine hesitancy and its associated factors among HCWs at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted among randomly selected HCWs of a tertiary hospital in the state of Selangor, Malaysia, using an online questionnaire. The questions were designed to collect information on HCWs’ sociodemographic and health status and attitude towards vaccination. Higher scores for the four scales on attitude towards vaccination denote a higher level of vaccine hesitancy. Results: Of the 380 respondents (98% response rate), the overall score depicted low vaccine hesitancy despite the scores being slightly higher on worrying over unforeseen future effects and concerns about commercial profiteering. Women demonstrated a lower preference for natural immunity compared to men. Conclusion: In the context of this study, vaccine hesitancy among HCWs was low, which may indicate good acceptance. However, concerns about unforeseen future effects and commercial profiteering need to be addressed, and health education and promotion activities on the male workers in terms of preference for natural immunity need to be enhanced. The nutritional status of a toddler can be influenced by a parent's income because meeting the nutritional needs of a toddler, is very dependent on parent's income. This study aims to analyze the Relationship between Parent's Income and Nutritional Status of Toddlers During the Covid-19 Pandemic at the Integrated Health Post in Alassumur Kulon Village, Kraksaan District, Probolinggo Regency District, Probolinggo Regency. The research design used was an analytic observational design, with a cross-sectional research design. The number of samples was 80 respondents with the purposive sampling method. This study uses univariate analysis to determine the frequency distribution and bivariate analysis using Spearman's Rho test. The results show that most of the parents' income is in the medium category, with as many as 31 respondents (38.8%). Most of the nutritional status of toddlers is in the good nutrition category, with as many as 46 respondents (57.5%). Purpose – This study examines improving student morality through religious extracurricular activities during the COVID-19 pandemic in Bogor City, West Java elementary schools. Design/methods/approach – Employing a case study method, this research was conducted at SDN Empang 02, Bogor City. Data was collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. Data analysis was performed interactively and reflectively to ensure validity through credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability criteria. Findings – The findings indicate a significant improvement in students' morality at SDN Empang 02 Bogor during the COVID-19 pandemic. The religious extracurricular program, focusing on developing students' talents and interests, has been effectively planned, organized, implemented, and supervised. Research implications – This study provides new insights into the importance of religious extracurricular activities in shaping student morality, especially in the context of the pandemic. These findings emphasize the need for a comprehensive and integrated approach to education, focusing on academic aspects and developing students' morality and character.

In order to determine how the COVID-19 announcement affected the Indonesian Stock Exchange (BEI), this study examined IHSG, stock prices, abnormal returns as well as trading volume activity in the transportation industry from 2019 to 2020. Eighteen transportation companies were chosen for analysis over a 12-month period, centered around the event date of March 2, 2020, using purposive selection. The results demonstrate significant differences in IHSG and stock prices, but there are no significant distinctions in abnormal returns or trading volume activity prior and after the COVID-19 notificationt. This study contributes important new information about the complex ways that the pandemic has affected financial markets, particularly in the transportation sector.

This research examines the factors supporting the success of financial performance based on local wisdom and social capital as a role in building a people's economy during the COVID-19 pandemic. Respondents in this study were Village Credit Institutions (LPD) throughout Bali. The technique of taking respondents in this study uses the Non-Probability Sampling technique with the method used purposive sampling, which means that the respondent's sampling technique is based on specific criteria such as 1) LPD health status, 2) level of capital owned. Calculating the determination of respondents using the Slovin formula with the calculation results of 100 respondents. The data that is processed is primary data through surveys by distributing questionnaires which are then analyzed using Amos Ver.23.0 software with Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis techniques. The results of this study indicate that partially accounting control variables, leadership style, and organizational culture have a significant positive effect on social capital. Other findings include accounting control, leadership style, organizational culture, and social capital having a significant positive effect on financial performance.

Berdasarkan analisis karakteristik siswa di tengah pandemi COVID-19, studi ini menggunakan analisis diskriminan dan regresi multinomial untuk mengeksplorasi dampaknya terhadap prestasi akademik. Faktor-faktor seperti usia, jenis kelamin, tingkat stres, dan transisi ke lingkungan pembelajaran virtual diperiksa untuk memahami pengaruhnya terhadap hasil pendidikan. Temuan ini menyoroti peran penting manajemen stres dan tantangan yang ditimbulkan oleh lingkungan pembelajaran virtual, serta menekankan perlunya intervensi yang ditargetkan untuk mendukung kesejahteraan siswa dan keberhasilan akademik. Analisis diskriminan mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor utama yang membedakan tingkat prestasi akademik, sementara regresi multinomial memodelkan hubungan kompleks di antara variabel-variabel yang mempengaruhi pencapaian siswa. Penelitian ini berkontribusi pada strategi pendidikan yang disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan siswa yang terus berkembang di lanskap pendidikan yang ditransformasi secara digital.

Background: A subset of patients diagnosed with COVID-19 is encountering persistent post-COVID symptoms. These symptoms can significantly impede their quality of life and exert profound effects on their day-to-day functioning. Purpose: This study aimed to identify the dimensions of quality of life most affected in patients with long COVID symptoms. Methods: A cross-sectional survey was applied using the SF-36 questionnaire which was distributed on Twitter and Instagram. Furthermore, a total of 122 respondents were obtained through accidental sampling. The association between variables was analyzed using Chi-square and Mann-Whitney tests. Results: Respondents who completed the questionnaire (n=122) came from different regions, with West Java as the largest area of origin (37.70%). In addition, the majority were female (n=103, 84.4%) under 25 years old (n=92, 75.41%), and the three symptoms experienced were fatigue (n=108; 35.29%), brain fog (n=61;19.93%), and olfactory disturbances (n=54; 17.65%). There was an association between long COVID duration and gender (p= 0.03). However, there was no association between other demographic characteristics with long COVID duration (p > 0.05). General health (41.67 (IQR=29), p= 0.00) and vitality (40.00 (IQR=20), p= 0.02) were the two aspects of quality of life significantly altered in patients with long COVID symptoms more than 3 months. Conclusion: The aspects of quality of life, particularly general health and vitality, experienced a significant decline in post-COVID-19 patients with long COVID symptoms for more than 3 months.

The COVID-19 pandemic exacerbated the food security dimension, from the macro to micro level. Households dealt with the crisis by implementing coping strategies led by mothers. Consequently, these impacted their health and nutrition status, notably during pregnancy. This unfavorable condition was due to their primary role in maintaining household food security. This study aimed to explore the perceptions of pregnant mothers of food security and insecurity about their household coping strategies. This study used phenomenology with purposive sampling, with 33 informants (21 pregnant mothers and 12 other informants) in Serang district from May to October 2022. In-depth interviews (IDIs) were used during data collection, and the transcripts were verbatim. Respectively, the data was analyzed using thematic coding with N-Vivo 12 Plus and Microsoft Excel. Result, twenty-one pregnant mothers from food-secure (n=7) and insecure (n=14) households revealed adopting the food-focused coping strategies: rationing, scratching, seeking, and sharing. Non-focused on food: sought new job and side hustle, sold assets, borrowed money. Differentiation was the barter which the food insecure family solely adopted. Conclusion, both food-secure and insecure households implemented 2 types of coping strategies, while the severe coping strategies were implemented by food insecure pregnant mothers.

Latar belakang. Anak epilepsi berisiko mengalami malnutrisi, keterlambatan perkembangan, dan defisiensi vitamin D akibat obat anti-epilepsi. Pandemi COVID-19 membatasi kunjungan ke dokter sehingga menghambat pemantauan pertumbuhan anak epilepsi. Pemantauan jarak jauh dapat membantu asuhan nutrisi optimal selama pandemi.. Tujuan. Mengevaluasi efektivitas pendampingan asuhan nutrisi pediatrik melalui WhatsApp pada balita epilepsi. Metode. Penelitian multisenter dimulai Maret 2021 pada pasien epilepsi (6 bulan - 5 tahun). Kelompok intervensi mendapat pendampingan asuhan nutrisi melalui WhatsApp selama 3 bulan, sementara kelompok kontrol tidak. Sebelum intervensi, subjek diberikan edukasi melalui webinar, pemeriksaan anemia defisiensi besi dan vitamin D 25-OH. Hasil. Sebanyak 73 subjek direkrut dan 69 subjek mengikuti penelitian sampai selesai. Defisiensi/insufisiensi vitamin D didapatkan pada 35,6% subjek. Oral nutrition supplement merupakan saran intervensi terbanyak (23,1%). Meski WhatsApp tidak signifikan untuk perbaikan status gizi, 84,2% orangtua melihat manfaatnya dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan dan mengatasi masalah nutrisi. Meskipun beberapa memerlukan nutrisi enteral dan kunjungan tatap muka, dampak positif WhatsApp terlihat dalam meningkatkan pemahaman orangtua. Kesimpulan. Asuhan nutrisi anak epilepsi dapat ditingkatkan melalui pendampingan WhatsApp di masa pandemi. Beberapa intervensi memerlukan konsultasi tatap muka, tetapi kombinasi supervisi daring dan kunjungan tatap muka dapat menjadi alternatif setelah pandemi, mengatasi kendala jarak dan mobilitas dalam memberikan asuhan nutrisi.
