The contribution of «Prosvita» society to the national self-awareness of the Ukrainians of Galicia, Bukovyna and Transcarpathia during the Austrian period attracted the attention of researchers and is still of scientific and public interest. The historical significance of «Prosvita» in the Ukrainian national revival (modern nation-building) of the 19th and early 20th centuries difficult to overestimate. Therefore, the article draws attention to the problem of the formation of national self-awareness as a necessary condition for the formation of a nation. It is noted that at the epicentre of national self-consciousness is a national symbol – a universal phenomenon that, in a sensibly perceived and realized form, expresses, preserves and broadcasts ideas about spiritual and material values that are fundamental to it development and functioning. The multifaceted activity of «Prosvita» in the last third of the 19th and early 20th centuries made it possible to overcome the Russophiles, Moscophiles worldview among a significant part of the Galician-Ukrainian society. The First World War played a special role in this, when during the Russian occupation of Galicia the political concept of Moscophiles was completely discredited. At the same time, the ideas of «Prosvita» confirmed their own viability, or relied on the broad masses of the people, the national self-assertion of Ukrainians as a separate nation. Based on the research problem, it is worth pointing out such a concept as the frontier. This is a scientific interdisciplinary discourse, on the basis of which the following processes are highlighted: spatial (taking into account regional and local differences), temporal (which makes it possible to trace the evolution of images of the region over time), political and cultural (the use of ethno-national stereotypes and myths). The subconscious level of perception of the border is especially important, since emotional stereotypes are formed on different sides of the border, which influence the appearance of aggressors and victims

Based on the current discussion on the professional profile of psychological psychotherapists (Sachsen, Fasbender & Hammelstein, 2014; Amrhein, 2014; Fliegel, 2014; Strauß & Nodop, 2014; Sulz, 2014a-d), the difference between psychotherapy and science is worked out. In doing so, a scholarly discussion is inevitable, in which the dominant position of RCT research is questioned (Henry, 1998; Kriz, 1996a, b, 2000, 2007, 2010, 2014; Revenstorf, 2005, 2014; Sulz, 2014d). The need to open up to other research paradigms and research methods is shown (such as field studies, qualitative research, hermeneutics). As a result, the best possible place for psychotherapy training is not to be found in university psychology, but where psychotherapy is done and there are teachers (lecturers and supervisors) who are experienced psychotherapists (Sulz, 2014c; Sulz & Richter-Benedikt, 2014; Sulz & Backmund-Abedinpour, 2014; Sulz & Hoenes, 2014). A university degree beginning at the age of 18 is not given the opportunity to provide the necessary framework for the development of a sufficiently mature therapist personality with the necessary skills (Sulz & Sichort-Hebing, 2014). Emotional intelligence is the personal ability to identify and effectively manage one’s emotions in relation to personal goals (career, family, education, etc.). Even if a person has enough knowledge and intelligent ideas, if he does not know and fails to manage his emotions and feelings, he may encounter difficulties in trying to build relationships with others. The COVID-19 pandemic created fear, anxiety and depression among the population, but the most exposed were those who already suffered from a mental disorder. All these changes could but affect human behavior in the management of interpersonal relationships. Social distancing, meeting bans, hygiene measures, lockdown, closed schools and kindergardens, technical unemployment - for most people life has suddenly changed afterMarch 2020. The consequences are visible especially in mental health and interpersonal relationships.

In this paper I examine compatibilism and incompatibilism about whether the self can be both a subject and an object in the same awareness at the same time. While this is an old debate that many traditions of philosophy have contributed to, my point of departure is the work of A.C. Mukerji (an Indian philosopher of the modern era) who worked on the possibility of self-awareness by articulating, what he called, the paradox of ego-centricity. I also consider Patañjali (an Indian philosopher of the classical era), Maurice Merleau-Ponty (a phenomenologist), and Arindam Chakrabarti (a contemporary Indian and Analytic philosopher) on the debate over compatibilism. First, I present Mukerji’s paradox, then I critically examine Patañjali and Merleau-Ponty’s arguments against incompatibilism. I move on to bring Mukerji’s paradox into contact with Chakrabarti’s arguments in favor of compatibilism. I critically examine Chakrabarti’s arguments in favor of compatibilism and against incompatibilism. While insightful and powerful, I argue that they can be resisted; and should be considered alongside Mukerji’s paradox. I close by offering an argument for compatibilism based on an analogy with particle-wave duality in quantum physics and the relation between conceivability and metaphysical modality.

In the literature on sexual therapy, touch – sensual touching – is seldom mentioned. What is missing are practical, exerciseoriented therapeutic interventions in individual or group settings which convey qualitative touch skills. The present study focuses on the importance of mindful sensual touch for sexual intimacy. Using qualitative interviews with patients who have increased their touch experience and skills, the article discusses how touch positively affects various aspects of sexuality and sexual well-being. In this report I describe the considerations that went into my choosing a profession as doctor and psychoanalyst. I had never really thought about it so deeply, and was surprised myself to discover that it involved a complex process with many influences, turning points and inspirations from the widest possible range of people from my social environment. I start with my childhood and youth, the effects of female role definitions in the post-war period, the parentification but also promotion by my parents, the stabilizing, continuous relationships in the kindergarten and school, the sense of rootedness in a place, the early interest in people and their history, the first encounter with the writings of Freud. The choice of medicine as a study subject after finishing school was partly due to paternal influence, but was also an active, conscious decision linked with the idea of being able to practice a worthwhile, self-determined profession as a doctor. I also talk about the discovery of the areas of psychiatry, psychosomatics and psychoanalysis which became for me determining and fulfilling in the area of medicine, but also brought difficult phases of conflict due to hierarchical structures and the then still existing disharmony between the various disciplines. For me, however, the importance of the trench wars has faded today, including those of the psychotherapeutic institutions with which I was later confronted. What appears most important to me in the meantime is that psychotherapy and psychoanalysis – starting from a psychology of the unconscious and the drives – have become more a psychology of the relationship. This brings me to the conclusion in the final reflection on the numerous changes on my professional career path that I could only become what I have become with the help of reference persons who stimulated, confronted and supported me. Duygusal Özgürleşme Tekniği (EFT/Emotional Freedom Technique), son yıllarda psikolojik destek sağlamak amaçlı yaygınlaşmış bir uygulamadır. 1980’li yıllarda Çin tıbbından hareketle keşfedilmiş olan bu uygulama, kişinin zihin ve beden yapısını bir bütün olarak kabul etmektedir. EFT, Türkiye’de yakın dönemde uygulanmaya başlamıştır. Bu araştırma, EFT’nin insanlar üzerindeki etkisini incelemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın temel sorusu, “EFT uygulamasının kişinin bireysel, sosyal ve manevi boyutları üzerindeki etkisi nedir?” şeklindedir. Bu çalışmada 21 kadınla EFT öncesi ve sonrası mülakatlar yapılmış ve gözlemler kaydedilmiştir. Nitel veriye içerik analizi uygulanmıştır. Sonuç olarak, EFT ile kişilerin kendileri ve çevreleri hakkında farkındalık kazandıkları ve kendilerini Allah’a daha yakın hissettikleri bulgulanmıştır.

The aim of this study is to investigate the predictive relationship between authentic leadership and trust to supervisor. The data were collected from 104 employees from a variety of jobs and industries in a collectivistic culture, Turkey. In the scope of this study, existing scales are used to collect data. Employees completed the ten-itemed one factor solution trust to supervisor scale and sixteen-itemed four factor solution authentic leadership scale. Structural equation modeling was conducted to test the research hypothesis. The structural equation modeling results showed a strong positive relationship between authentic leadership and trust to supervisor. The results are discussed along with practical implication, suggestions for future research and limitations.

This space offers a number of aspects of the philosophy of Levinas ex-pressed in a section of his work Totality and Infinity faced with the thought of Hegel in the context of inter-relationships around ethical behavior of con-sciousness of self against to the other self. The meetings points and even more disagreements between the two authors show that the historical context is crucial in the postures posed to the extent that offer mostly differing inter-pretations according to each subject´s relationship with the external to itself. The aim of this space for discussion between the two authors is to highlight the importance and role of the figure of Hegelian self-consciousness in front of the building societies that aspire to implement projects of social justice and true democracy.

The public administration of the modern age and the significant changes taking place in the public administration in these days gave rise to the lecture. After a brief review of the historical antecedents a multi-stage process of reforms is mentioned as a result of which the so called closed system of public administration of Hungary became loose in a sense and the stiff margins which hindered the realization of the human resource management functions and presented a parting line between the establishments of the civil service and the competitive sector have been altered in a certain way. The present study deals with the direction towards which the present system proceeds and also with some management functions (e.g. performance evaluation) the importance of which is stressed greatly in the past few years. Finally a new field of research is dealt with which examines the efficiency of the personal development trainings as a special segment of these changes.

There is growing evidence on the importance of rehabilitation interventions promoting the persistence of the sense of self in people with Alzheimer's disease (AD) or other forms of dementia. Assistive Technologies (AT) may contribute to the development of interventions aimed to improve adaptive responses to environmental demands. This, in turns, can promote self-awareness. At the same time AT can manage computer interfaces able to record and reproduce autobiographical multimedia contents that can be very useful during reminiscence tasks carried out during conversations with supportive staff. These tasks could promote the self-concept. Globally the AT can be of great help in setting up rehabilitation and leisure environments promoting the experience of self in people with AD and other dementias.

This article focuses on a research project that was designed to inquire into the cultivation of wisdom in the classroom in the context of a newly implemented school subject called Glück (English: happiness). Glück was introduced in order to make a difference in traditional mainstream schooling as a reaction to school curricula that emphasize data and knowledge transfer. It is different and new because it embraces the kind of learning that includes the senses, the mind, body, spirit and the guts. Its multidimensional approach makes an attempt to validate a renunciation of the reductionistic perspective of traditional and contemporary schooling. How it is implemented served as a transformational process through a set of experiential exercises, group discussions, contemplative practices, teamwork etc. It is my aim to give an insight into what I understood as an alternative learning arena embedded in a traditional schooling system and the implications for further development beyond the transfer of data and information in adolescents. Zooming in on Glück, I aim to provide some perspectives on how key experiences and the reflection upon them can lead to the cultivation of wisdom. The understanding of cultivating wisdom I have gained from this study is that it is a dynamic process where the creation of new structures of meaning making emerge through the interaction with others, with oneself and the reflection upon one’s own interior processes that can help unfold, know how to use and refine tacit knowledge. Part of this process is actively discovering and transforming complex information in order to embody it and make it one’s own. Due to the assumption that traditional schooling mostly puts an emphasis on conveying informational knowledge (Hart, 2009; Sternberg, 2001) (to the more or less attentive) students and another assumption that wisdom is often seen in connection to age, this article makes an attempt to give an alternative perspective. In this article I propose a synergistic model of the interior process that enables the activation of tacit knowledge into explicit knowledge and the development of age-appropriate wisdom in stages in due consideration of the nature and life tasks of adolescence.

The problem of time and identity in the autobiographical essay (Stefan Szymutko, Ryszard Przybylski) The aim of this article is to consider the relation between narrativity of autobiographical text and Kantian concept of transcendental entity. The author claims that the connection between time and identity of the subject, which is fundamental to modern autonarratives, can also function as a theoretical background in non-narrative intimate writing (e.g. an autobiographical essay). Examples of Szymutko’s and Przybylski’s works prove that selfconscious turn towards non-narrative forms of self-expression makes the Kantian concept of ego a negative, but (still) inherent waypoint. Stefan Szymutko’s Nagrobek Ciotki Cili (Aunt Cila’s Gravestone) and Ryszard Przybylski’s Uśmiech Demokryta (Democritus’ Smile) can be therefore described as quasi-autobiographies.

The argument underlying this article is that innovative and skillful change strategies are needed in order to handle a range of complex and difficult societal issues. For many of these so-called wicked issues, conventional institutions and policies have performed rather poorly. It can be reasonably argued that societal change agents play a crucial role in catalysing developmental processes regarding our societies’ problem-solving strategies and organizational forms. The purpose of this article is to contribute to a deeper understanding of the different ways societal change agents engage wicked issues by developing a conceptual framework for analysing the meaning-making patterns of change agents. The framework integrates relevant concepts and models from the field of adult development with a specific focus on the role of awareness in five domains: task complexity, context, stakeholders, self, and perspectives. The framework is expected to be useful in analysing and explaining the variability in how societal change agents construct visions, goals, strategies, and courses of action, as well as in analysing patterns of effectiveness and success in initiatives that engage complex societal issues. Knowledge gained from such studies can (presumably) be used for designing more effective forms of scaffolding individual competence development as well

[english] Study aim: Physician empathy constitutes an outcome-relevant aim of medical education. Yet, the factors promoting and inhibiting physician empathy have not yet been extensively researched, especially in Germany. In this study, we explored German medical students’ views of the factors promoting and inhibiting their empathy and how their experiences were related to their curricula. Methods: A qualitative short survey was conducted at three medical schools: Bochum University, the University of Cologne and Witten/Herdecke University. Students were invited to complete an anonymous written questionnaire comprised of open-ended questions inquiring about the educational content of and situations during their medical education that positively or negatively impacted their empathy. Data were analyzed through qualitative content analysis according to the methods of Green and Thorogood. Results: A total of 115 students participated in the survey. Respondents reported that practice-based education involving patient contact and teaching with reference to clinical practice and the patient’s perspective improved their empathy, while a lack of these inhibited it. Students’ internal reactions to patients, such as liking or disliking a patient, prejudice and other attitudes, were also considered to influence their empathy. Although each of the three schools takes a different approach to teaching interpersonal skills, no relevant differences were found in their students’ responses concerning the possible determinants of empathy. Conclusion: Providing more training in practice and more contact with patients may be effective ways of promoting student empathy. Students need support in establishing therapeutic relationships with patients and in dealing with their own feelings and attitudes. Such support could be provided in the form of reflective practice training in order to promote self-awareness. More research is needed to evaluate these hypothetical conclusions.

This article attempts to address this question, taking the phenomenon of dance as a point of departure, since in dance, movement steps out of its everyday background function to become the principal theme. Rudolf zur Lippe extracts from a dance step of the dances of the Quattrocento, the posa, a concept of sensual reflection. Rather than a conceptual reflection, the posa can be understood as an awareness of one's own movement. In this article, in a dialogue between critical philosophy, dance science, and phenomenology, terms of a possible sensual reflection in dance will be discussed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
