The present text starts off by discussing the conditions of psychoanalytic approach to culture and society. It explores how a transfer of the method to nonclinical fields can take place and the role theory plays in this process. Engaging with Freud's "The dissolution of the Oedipus complex" three elements are emphasized: dealing with sexual difference, the après coup in the threat of castration and the undiscovered nature of the female genitals. This is used to underscore the significance of recognizing that which is not familiar when dealing with ideas of decline and existential crises. What determines the unconscious fantasies about one's own genitals? How do female anatomy and inner conflict issues projected onto anatomy intertwine? The author refers to the sources of anxiety of the female genital anatomy explored by Bernstein, especially to the fact that the vagina cannot be opened and closed voluntarily. She posits that this anxiety-provoking moment in particular can combine with unconscious pregenital conflicts, so that, depending on the conflict theme, quite different unconscious images of one's own genitals emerge. From a predominantly drive-theoretical perspective, two case presentations are used to show which unconscious images can develop in oral and in anal conflicts projected onto the sex. The connection to penetration fears is made and the quality of penetration fears is examined in more detail. Finally, the author addresses the question in which way the oral and anal colored genital fears can be warded off by a penis fantasy and what the penis fantasy then means in each case. Operations on the genitals of women are increasing. This can be due to dissatisfaction with their appearance, which can negatively impact sexual satisfaction. Since there are only a few opportunities for adult women to work on improving their genital self-image, there is hardly any empirical knowledge in this regard. The text is based on a study whose research question was the acceptance of body-oriented and haptic aspects of sexual education with regard to genital self-image in a group setting. The clitoris and the surrounding structures of the external genitalia are among the most sensory innervated regions of the female body. The reception of stimuli takes place via specialized sensory nerve endings. The genital corpuscles (GK) and the Pacinian corpuscles (VP) are responsible for the generation of sexual arousal and the initiation of orgasm. Another important erogenous role may be played by the C-tactile fibers (CTF) as “stroking receptors”. The GK and VP, which were already known at the end of the 19th C., possess complex corpuscles of connective tissue cells that determine their receptive properties. The GK, also known as “corpuscles of pleasure”, are typical for the clitoral and penile glans, where they occur at high density. They are responsible for the perception of touch and gliding pressure. Congestion of erectile clitoral tissues – caused by sexual arousal – is a prerequisite for the activation of GK. Furthermore, hormonal influences likely play an important role in the modulation of these receptors. Despite their important role in the generation of female pleasure, little information about the GK is found in current textbooks. The well-studied VP usually co-occur with the GK in various erogenous zones, as well as in the rest of the body. They perceive touch, pressure and especially vibration stimuli. Their activity is modulated by hormonal influences and local pressure. The material of Scopula spp. specimens (n = 1181) in the Hungarian Natural History Museum is revised in the light of recent publications. The museum hosts vouchers of three species from the white-coloured taxa of the “ornata speciesgroup” from the Carpathian Basin and six species from the Palaearctic Region. A historical specimen of S. orientalis, undoubtedly collected in the Carpathian Basin, was found amongst Palaearctic material. This is the first record of this species from the area and its most inland occurrence in Europe. A key to the identification of the three species recorded from the Carpathian Basin is given. The penelfin Penaincisalia alina sp. nov. is described from Department Apurímac, Peru on the basis of wing and genitalia characters. Spectral analysis of structural colours carried out on congeneric species is presented. A hitherto unnamed Penaincisalia species from the vicinity of the type locality is also documented.

The author has lived without a prostate for more than ten years - a loss that not only changed his life, his relationship with his partner, but also his everyday life and professional life. Sympathetic physicians and sensitive therapists showed him ways to overcome his fear of loss. The pair therapist appealed to his journalistic profession, urging the author to describe his situation after the prostatectomy. Based on his professional self-understanding - educating by means of information in the media - the author wrote and self-published two books. Attempts to interest an established publishing house in the topic failed. In the two books the author describes the loss of the sexual organ and how he experiences his masculinity afterwards. That the removal of an aggressive tumor in the prostate must not be the end of a lustful relationship among partners is described in a sensual, detailed and perhaps even shameless way. The species Procapperia ankaraica Fazekas, 2003, was described from Turkey. It is most closely related to the well-known Procapperia kuldschaensis (Rebel, 1914), but the wing pattern and male genitalia differ significantly. The original description was supplemented by figures of ink drawings. This study presents the most important identification and differential traits of Procapperia ankaraica in colour digital images. While Doing Gender using technical products usually functions according to user gender scripts, Doing Gender with prostheses has its peculiarities. With the help of breast and penis prostheses and testicle or erectile tissue implants, gender can be ‚manufactured‘ – so that we can speak of Doing Sex. In this article, the dimensions of a Doing Gender by means of prostheses are illustrated using research on the mass replacement of body parts during and after the First World War. The literature shows that genital injuries caused by war and their possible restoration were tabooed. In addition or precisely for this reason, there are now no systematic studies or object collections that comprehensively address the technical developments, the users or the cultural-historical contexts of male genital prostheses. Medical and surgical texts from the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries are consulted in this article to establish the development of the concept of sex as the term is used in the so-called sex-gender debate. The author contends that it was surgical operations to reconfigure hermaphrodites' bodies that yielded a new conception of sex. Not until the end of the 18th century does it appear that the predominant phenotypical notion of sex was displaced by a view of sex as an organ-based system centered around gonads.

Background: Gender Dysphoria (GD, formerly known as transsexualism) describes distress and impairment in an individual caused by the incongruence between the experienced gender and the sex assigned at birth (Gender Incongruence: GI). Transgender health care focusses on gender-affirmative treatments (e. g., hormone therapy) and associated needs (e. g., psychotherapy). Moreover, genital surgery is considered an effective treatment to reduce GI/GD and improve mental health and quality of life. Interdisciplinary cooperation between the associated medical facilities is regarded as evidence-based health care., Objectives: To date, THC is delivered in zwei different health care settings: interdisciplinary and centralized from one medical institution vs. decentralized, spread over several medical institutions. In Germany, individuals with GI/GD access health care mostly in decentralized structures. The consequences of feminizing genital surgery carried out in centralized and decentralized health care structures in terms of quality and effectiveness have not been investigated so far. A patient with diffuse angiokeratomas of the lower abdomen and genital region was diagnosed with Fabry disease on the basis of genetic testing. Fabry disease is an X-linked lysosomal storage disease that can affect several organ systems including the heart or kidneys, resulting in reduced median survival. Pathogenetically, Fabry disease leads to a deficiency of the lysosomal enzyme α‑galactosidase A (α-GAL A). Treatment options include lifelong enzyme replacement therapy or chaperone therapy.
