Thiazolidines formed from l-glyceraldehyde and l-cysteine or d-penieillamine inhibit glycolysis in ascites tumour cells in the presence, but not in the absence of air. The respiration is not inhibited at all. These findings are discussed and compared with those of O. Warburg [20] in regard to the effect of free l-glyceraldehyde on the metabolism of tumour cells.
