10. Solitary benign follicular hyperplastic lymphoid tumor in parapharyngeal space

Abstract

Tumors of the parapharyngeal region account for only 0.5% of all the head and neck tumors. This article presents a case of a 36-year-old female, who presented with an extensive mass in the right preauricular and parapharyngeal space. The tumor was excised successfully using a transcervical approach with temporary lateral mandibulotomy. The histopathology report showed a “solitary benign follicular hyperplastic lymphoid tumor in parapharyngeal space”., Nur 0,5% aller Kopf-Hals-Tumoren sind im Parapharyngealraum lokalisiert.
