The pastoral program of the Polish Bishops’ Conference for the liturgical year 2022/2023 “I believe in the Church of Christ” indicates the awakening and strengthening of faith in the Church as the primary pastoral task. The reason for taking up the subject discussed are signs of loss of trust in the Church community that can be observed in the society and the synod on synodality convened by Francis. The conciliar vision of the Church that is open, communal and servant, remains an unimplemented program of renewal. The implementation of this task assumes raising the level of understanding of the Church among the faithful and awakening in them the awareness of being the Church. In the catechetical dimension, this task should be accomplished through introduction to community life. The aim of the article is to indicate the specific tasks for catechesis introducing to community life in the Church, an attempt to assess the current catechetical and pastoral situation and to present initiatives undertaken in the Katowice Church to support the introduction to community life.

This paper deals with the problem of mobilization of the society in favor of governmental foreign policy actions in Austria within 1808–1809. The Austrian government during the period of 1805–1809 had the aim to restore its influence in Germany and Austria. Under the leadership of foreign affairs minister Philipp von Stadion the discussion on state and social reforms, and on the new war against France becomes active. To get a positive reply from the public opinion, the mass media become an instrument of Stadion's administration and his supporters within the court in turning the public in favor of actions against France. One of the examples of such media was the newspaper Vaterländische Blätter für Österreichischen Staat. Historiography of the topic is limited and mostly presented in German language and published in Austria.

Prezentuję zestaw pięciu pojęć służących do opisu doświadczenia estetycznego sztuki komputerowej. Wśród nich wymieniam: tekstualność, nieograniczoność, dotykowość (prioprio-receptoryka), usterkowość i analetyczność. Jakości, które wskazuję, są ważne z punktu widzenia kontaktu odbiorcy z dziełem sztuki. Analizę ograniczam do ściśle określonej sfery sztuki. Jest nią ten zakres doświadczenia, który do swojego wytworzenia i prezentacji wymaga w sposób konieczny udziału komputerów.

One of the effects of ecocritical scholarship can be seen in the questioning of postmodern attempts of a radical constructivism that understands the world as a discursive phenomenon and that opposes any notion of a ‘reality’ outside those discursive entanglements. In light of environmental crises in particular, to doubt an extradiscursive reality seems inappropriate. However, I will argue in this essay that narratives of catastrophe do follow specific dramatising rhetorics, and I will show how Indra Sinha’s Animal’s People questions and ultimately deconstructs these. By radically questioning the idea of a stable reality and authentic means to narrate it, postcolonial ecocriticism in general, and Animal’s People in particular, engenders a sense of the tension between reality and representational ideology, and it enables a way of experiencing this conflict through the eyes of an ecological posthumanism.

How can the analysis of narrative structures contribute to the understanding of what makes a text´s "environmentality" (see Buell 2005:25)? By reading Call of the Wild from a narratological perspective and against the historicist foil of its discursive context, this paper seeks to illuminate how strategies of narration lend to an eco-centred reading - even despite the text´s apparent ethical orientation. The discursive circuit thus established enables a textual negotiation of diverging ethical convictions and aspects of compassion and giving voice to an animal. Eventually, reading and interpreting texts can thus be described as an "applied ethics" (Iovino 2010: 41) the features of which this essay seeks to describe as the "ethics of narrative strategies".

The article is focused on the document published in 2014 by the Pontifical Biblical Commission and called: The Inspiration and Truth of Sacred Scripture. The Word that comes from God and speaks of God for the salvation of the world. The purpose of publishing was to reach the priests, the people studying the Bible as well as the laity. By the discovering the biblical truth everybody can understand better oneself, the creation and God. Everybody can concisely grow in one’s faith. According to the document, the Divine inspiration is revealed to us when we read the Holy Scriptures. On the pages of Bible we can meet God himself. The message shared with us in the Bible explains the truth about God, about a man, our salvation and about a world. Even though it has some elements of the science or history, it is not a source of the science knowledge or chronicle of the historic facts. Besides we always have to include the genre and style of the ancient authors. This document can have amazing impact on the pastoral work, helping people to get interested in the Bible and to find the answers for many questions they have about it.

The present article is an analysis of 1 Corinthians 7:1-40. It presents the relevance of the choice of one’s way of life, either in marriage or in celibacy. Considering the passing away of this life, St. Paul showed the Corinthians the value of virginity as a testimony of the Kingdom of God. According to the apostle, this particular form of life is the best preparation for the eternal life. It enables a person to completely devote his/her life to the preaching of the Kingdom. St. Paul chose this way of living in order to commit himself to the proclamation of the Gospel. Celibacy freed him from all concerns related to the providing for the family. The teachings comprised in the analyzed text are particularly relevant for Christians living in the early twenty-first century. 1 Cor 7: 29-31 is utterly opposed to the models of life preferred in the contemporary world. In light of this utterance, it is worth asking where we can be led by this world that has chosen a completely different way of living. It is no wonder that modern man is not able to understand the value of virginity and celibacy which are a call to conversion and a sign of the Kingdom that will be opposed.

The article presents the significant development of theological and biblical thinking since the beginning of the 20th century until the end of the Second Vatican Council. The tension between natural sciences and Biblical Studies, and thenceforth between historical studies and the matter of historical truth in the Bible, became the cause of numerous disputes, and controversies that Catholic theologians could not manage. Additional difficulties were caused by dubious conclusions of the Protestant exegetes, who stated that based on the Gospels there is only one reliable fact about the historical Jesus – the fact that he had existed (R. Bultmann). The very systematic and persistent work of the Council Fathers led to the formulation of the Dogmatic Constitution on Divine Revelation Dei Verbum. This document described the nature of Divine Revelation and acknowledged all scientific research of the Catholic theologians and biblical scholars.

Molecularly imprinted polymer microspheres were immobilized within a polymer nanofiber membrane by electrospinning. Such membranes simplify the handling of functional microspheres and provide specific recognition capabilities for solid-phase extraction and filtration applications. In this study, microspheres were prepared by precipitation polymerization of methacrylic acid and divinylbenzene as a cross-linker with the target molecule (?)-cinchonidine and then, they were electrospun into a non-woven polyacrylonitrile nanofiber membrane. The composite membrane showed specific affinity for (?)-cinchonidine which was attributed to the functional microspheres as confirmed by Raman microscopy. The target molecule capturing capacity of the composite membrane was 5 mg/g or 25 mg/g immobilized functional microsphere. No difference in target affinity was observed between the immobilized microspheres and the free microspheres. These results reveal that electrospun composite membranes are a feasible approach to immobilizing functional microspheres.
