WOS: 000183262100003 A fluorite mineralization is observed within the sediment rock, having dimensions of about 60 m in length and between 0.4-2 m in thickness is found in the Feke (Adana) region. In this study, it is aimed to explain the genesis of this deposit by means of rare element geochemistry analyses. The fluorite samples analysed showed low REE-contents (REE < 10 ppm) on the average which are characteristics for Fluorite sedimental-diagenetic origin. The carbonate host-rocks are about ten times richer on REE. The REE-distribution pattern of fluorite and host-rocks are marked through strong enrichments and negative slopes. The Cc and Eu anomalities indicates an oxidative conditions by the fluorite-precipitate. In the Tb/Ca and Tb/La diagram all the fluorite samples lie in the sedimentary field. All the data indicate that, fluorite-deposits occured during diagenetic events which caused the intraformational formation water migration in the carbonate sedimentary environment as well as its alteration effect with surface-solutions.
