Der DIN-Fachbericht 50 definiert den Normungsbedarf im Bereich der Geschätsprozeßmodellierung und des Workflow Managements. Es wird gezeigt, auf welchen Gebieten heute ein erheblicher Normungsbedarf besteht, wenn sich in der nächsten Zukunft Workflow Management Systeme, Prozeßmodelle und Referenzmodelle am Markt durchsetzen sollen. Besonders wurden die betrieblichen und organisatorischen Aspekte, z.B. die Einführung in Betriebe oder die Messung der Wirtschaftlichkeit, analysiert. Auf diesem Gebiet wnrden Normen eine wesentliche Hilfe darstellen. Durch eine Normung der Begriffe und Kriterien wird für zukünftige Kunden von Workflow Management Systemen eine größere Transparenz der angebotenen Systeme erreicht, da dann die Funktionalitäten leicht verglichen werden können. Der Fachbericht geht darüberhinaus noch auf die wesentlichen technischen Apeskte ein und zeigt, daß es zur Zeit verschiedene sich widersprechende Bemühungen gibt, die technischen Schnittstellen zwischen Workflow Managemen t Systemen festzulegen. Hierfür ist eine internationale Norm zwingend notwendig.

This report gives an insight into the projects carried out in the "Integrated Software Infrastructures" department of the ISST Berlin on the subject of teleworking and telecooperation, as well as into the assumptions on which they were based and the initial experiences of the group. These are the installation and testing of a connection with the Dortmund branch (Cobra-l project), a project on the support of hotline consulting in the Berlin Service and Administration Centre for local administration centres in the public administrative districts of Berlin (HotCon project), and a project for the development of a general speech-act-based workflow system for the field of administration (WAM project).The authors come to the conclusion that telecooperation and teleworking can open up considerable economical and social potentials as a result of new fields of activity and increased effectiveness. But this will depend on a significant improvement in the technical and organizational conditions. I t is thus only natural that computer scientists should carry out the initial exploratory work "on themselves".
