The article reports on the island almanac from the years 1906-2011. Almanacs have been part of the literary scene since German classical music, and word formation seems to derive from a mixture of Arabic, Middle Latin, Coptic, Greek and other influences. For the head of the island publishing house Anton Kippenberg, the genus of the almanac was the suitable form to draw attention to the current production of the island publishing house.
