New social and spatial indicators : quality of life, social well-being, territorial disparities. — The authors are gathering here a wide range of texts from the 2th Géotopiques Colloquium devoted to new social and spatial indicators on quality of life, social well-being and territorial disparities. They examine how relevant this questionning is. The fact that studies on the subject are making no headway seems related to a lack of conceptual approach and a need to elaborate a theory and methodology that can apply to a new and difficult topics. The question of the quality of measurement seem to them particularly important among the conditions funding our ideas on the production of academic knowledge., Les auteurs introduisent les différents textes constituant les Actes du 2e colloque Géotopiques, consacré aux nouveaux indicateurs sociaux et spatiaux de la qualité de la vie, du bien-être social et des disparités territoriales. Ils s'interrogent sur l'actualité de ce type de préoccupation, le piétinement des études en la matière leur paraissant lié à une insuffisance conceptuelle et à l'absence d'une élaboration théorique et méthodologique adaptée à une problématique neuve et difficile. Quality of life, social well-being, territorial and social indicators : the homo geographicus between choice and constraints. — When concluding the 2th Géotopiques Colloquium the authors are still wondering whether they should consider quality of life and social well-being allow to define a field of investigations where the indicator can only be the sign of a practice. 0. Sôderstrôm opposes two conceptions in the production of academic knowledge while J.-L. Piveteau invites to consider the temporal density of present time. J.-L. Chancerel returns to epistemo- logical and methodological questions posing the problem of the use of the idea of need when analysing well-being, and examining the relevance of the theory of Maslow. the authors conclude with more general argument on the place of indicators, which are never neutral and stand between descriptive and a normative approach., A l'issue du 2e colloque Géotopiques, les auteurs s'interrogent encore : qualité de la vie et bien-être sont-ils des représentations à inscrire dans la carte des configurations de la reproduction sociale ?
