Zitser; "Le parti musulman Difai: Enjeux locaux, nationaux, impériaux et représentations dans le sud du Caucase: Début du XXe siècle," by Edith Ybert-Chabrier; and "Un anti-Gide allemand: Lion Feuchtwanger," by Anne Hartmann.

The article discusses the history of political parties and socialist movements the Southern Caucasus at the beginning of the 20th century, with a focus on the political party Difai, or Defense, an organization of Muslims in the Southern Caucasus which was active from 1906 to 1908. Topics include the political participation of Muslims in socio-political movements in Azerbaijan from 1917 to 1920; terrorism and political violence; and the historiography of political parties in Russia before the revolution from 1905 to 1907 which led to the establishment of the Soviet Union.
