În acest articol este analizat un caz din Republica Moldova de spălare a banilor prin intermediul criptovalutelor. Cazul a ajuns, în cele din urmă, la Curtea Supremă de Justiţie. În acest sens, s-au scos în evidenţă erorile comise de către instanţe şi s-au oferit soluţii concrete. De asemenea, s-a analizat cadrul normativ relevant şi s-au punctat unele inadvertenţe legislative. Nu în ultimul rând, s-a accentuat că în Republica Moldova prestarea serviciilor privind activele virtuale este interzisă.

Innovations in the industry have also proved to be quite impressive in the medical field, where another approach is needed due to the need for personalization. Due to femoral fractures, it is not just enough to stabilize the bone, but also to have the integration of the implant with the host bone. Thisresearch is intended to undertake studies on the redesign of the distal femoral plate. The redesign had been elaborated to increase the number of people who are compatible with this type of femoral plate and also, to improve the physico-mechanical and biological properties toward to a commercial distal femoral plate made of type 316L stainless steel. Within SolidWorks software, a static simulation has been run after there have been defined restraints, external loads, and a mesh. The parameters were similar to those after the implantation. Taking this reason into consideration, the final results will be improved by modifying plate’s material from 316L to titanium alloy Ti6Al7Nb to increase the capability and biocompatibility. Moreover, the geometry of the distal femoral plate changes to decrease theweight and time of osteosynthesis. The final implant is parametrized 3D models that handle all day-to-day activities and has a weight 50% lower than that of the commercial implant.

Although polyethylene terephthalate (PET) is a champion of recycling, intense research is being done to find new solutions for using recycled plastic. This study aims to characterize the mechanical andstructural properties (SEM- scanning electron microscopy) of products made from recycled metal swarf or mesh wire with recycled plastic (PET) in comparison with virgin plastic. Samples manufactured from virgin and recycled PET are made by pressing and high temperature. The loss of mechanical properties ofproducts made from recycled plastic is a major drawback that influences their use. SEM images confirm that the dispersion and distribution of the PET phase is not very uniform. By addition of virgin plastic in various compositions with recycled plastic, processing parameters and mechanical properties can be optimized.

Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) based nanocomposites containing nano-silica (Aerosil (Degusa)) and titanium oxide (TiO2 (Merk)) were prepared by melt compounding. Influence of nano-silica and titanium oxide on properties of the resulting nanocomposites was investigated by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and atomic force microscopy (AFM). The possible interaction between nano-silica and titanium oxide particles with PET functional groups at bulk and surface was elucidated by transmission of FTIR-ATR spectroscopy. AFM studies of the resulting nanocomposites showed an increased surface roughness compared to pure PET. SEM images illustrated that nano-silica particles have tendency to migrate to the surface of the PET matrix much more than titanium oxide powder.

In experimental in vivo work, we used 45Ca and 131I radioisotopes to establish the impervious nature of biomaterials used for filling. A comparative study of permeability in 3 biomaterials used as pit and fissure sealant, alkylcyanoacrylate, Delton and Sigilar was conducted with 86Rb radiosotope. The materials were applied to the surface of 60 natural intact teeth divided into 3 sets and 6 groups. Each of the 3 types of materials were applied no one set of teeth. Within each set, a group of 10 teeth were labeled with 86Rb for 30 minutes and the other group was marked with 86Rb for 60 minutes. After washing, gamma emission was measured immediately after labeling then again 24 hours later. Results indicate that the biomaterial Delton is the least permeable to 86Rb, gamma counts being approximately 20-times lower with Delton than with alkylcyanoacrylate and Sigilar.

Early cardiac involvement has been reported in type I diabetes mellitus. This study was undertaken to evaluate the relationship of systolic blood pressure (SBP), erythrocyte magnesium (MgE) and left ventricular diastolic function (LVDF). Forty-four patients with insulin-dependand diabetes (IDD) aged 26 to 31 years, without apparent cardiac complications 8.5 +/- 6 years after the onset of disease were studied. They were compared with 20 healthy subjects of the same age who comprised the control group. Left ventricular diastolic function was evaluated by isotopic technetium 9m ventriculography with a Gamma-Picker scintilation chamber, by determining maximum left ventricular filling velocities (I, VFmax). The MgF was measured by EDTA titrimetry. Patients were divided into two subgroups depending on the SBP: Group A (20 patients) with a mean SBP of 136 +/- 4.2 mmHf and Group B (24 patients) with a mean SBP of 118 +/- 4.4 mmHg; the control group had a mean SBP of 110 +/- 4.4 mmHg. The following results were obtained. [table: see text] The authors conclude that even small increases of SBP may, with a decrease in Mg, be a risk factor for early cardiac complications in IDD in young adults.

Fine needle biopsy (FNB) has been used as a therapeutic method in different nodular lesions of the thyroid. Between 1989-1995, 295 subjects with thyroid cysts, 235 women and 60 men have been treated by FNB. The treatment of cysts was performed by: one or multiple aspirations in 207 cases, sclerosis by injection with tetracycline in 77 cases and by ethanol washing in 11 cases. 263 (89.11%) cases have been cured and we have lost track of 32 cases in the survey. Of the 207 cases treated by aspiration, 177 (86.5%) have been cured after one or more aspirations. Of the 77 cases treated by injections with tetracycline, 75 (97.26%) displayed sclerosis after one or more injections. All 11 cases treated by ethanol washing method displayed sclerosis. Between 1993-1995 we used percutaneous ethanol injection (PE1) in 6 cases, as an alternative to the classic treatment, in order to induce necrosis of toxic adenoma. After 1 to 9 injections all cases were cured, with the appearance of the entire image of the gland on the scintigram. In 4 cases of cold nodules with benign cytology PEI, induced a significant decrease of volume appreciated by sonography.
