The first comprehensive programme in the Croatian language in the Republic of Serbia started in 2002, and the status of the Croatian community as a national minority was recognized, but teaching took place in very challenging circumstances, considering the numerous obstacles in hiring teachers, difficulties with textbooks, the decreasing number of Croats and the perception of the typologically related Serbian language as the mother tongue among Croats. The aim of this research is to get an insight into the experiences of teachers who work within the Croatian Teaching Abroad (CTA) programme in the Republic of Serbia. Only teachers from the Republic of Croatia selected by the Ministry of Science and Education participated in the research. The research was conducted through an anonymous survey that examined: 1) teacher education for work through the analysis of specific and general competencies and the suitability of available textbooks in the Croatian language, 2) the teachers’ ability to deliver content related to the cultural and historical heritage of Croatia and 3) the teachers’ qualifications for teaching Croatian as a heritage language. The results show that: 1) the teachers need additional intercultural competencies that they did not acquire during formal education, 2) the existing textbooks are not fully suitable for teaching language and literature, 3) the teachers need further training and practice in teaching the Croatian language before teaching Croatian abroad, especially in the area of acquiring Croatian as a heritage language, which is primarily due to the lack of programmes for the education of teachers of Croatian as a foreign or heritage language at the formal level. Moreover, the teachers note the problem of students’ prior knowledge and motivation, as well as that of differentiating between the Croatian and Serbian languages, as great challenges.

The use of numerical methods in solving engineering problems can save both time and costs compared to experiments. In this study, the finite element analysis software ATENA Science was employed to model reinforced concrete columns subjected to axial compressive loads. The columns modeled in this study had previously undergone experimental compression tests. The primary objective of this modeling was to assess the compatibility of ATENA Science simulations with the experimental results. Based on a comparison between the ATENA analysis and experimental data, the ATENA analysis produced results that closely matched the experimental outcomes. In this case, the study specifically focused on the L-D relationship and crack patterns. The alignment of these results is important as it serves as validation, allowing for future modifications to the test specimens as required.

Introduction : L’étude présentée est le fruit d’un partenariat entre une équipe de recherche, un milieu clinique, et des patients. La Direction des soins infirmiers (DSI) du Centre Intégré de Santé et des Services Sociaux (CISSS) de Laval (Québec, Canada) a implanté plusieurs fonctions de coordination des soins et des services depuis plusieurs années pour les personnes ayant des besoins complexes. Ces fonctions incluent celles des infirmières pivots en gériatrie, soins palliatifs, soutien à domicile, cancérologie, et bien d’autres. À date, aucune évaluation de ces fonctions n’a été établie. Objectif : L’objectif de cette étude est de poser un diagnostic de la coordination pour la patientèle du milieu clinique partenaire, du point de vue des infirmières exerçant ces fonctions de coordination et de personnes suivies par elles. Méthode : Une méthode de recherche qualitative suivant une approche de co-conception fondée sur l’expérience est retenue. Le Rainbow Model of Integrated Care (Valentijn et al., 2013) est utilisé comme cadre conceptuel. Entre juin et septembre 2022, des entretiens individuels auprès de 10 coordinatrices et 10 personnes ayant des besoins complexes seront conduits afin d’explorer leurs expériences et les facteurs facilitants et obstacles à la coordination. Par la suite, deux entretiens de groupe avec les mêmes participants permettront d’identifier des pistes d’amélioration conjointes pour répondre aux besoins exprimés par les personnes et aux difficultés rencontrées par les coordinatrices. Ces propositions seront soumises et discutées avec la DSI. Résultats : L’étude est en cours. Discussion et conclusion : Les résultats attendus du co-développement incluent un meilleur arrimage des soins et services du CISSS avec les besoins exprimés par sa patientèle cible, menant à une meilleure expérience et une meilleure qualité de soins pour celle-ci.

The syllabus should be frequently renewed by the course coordinator to keep the quality of their teaching in the field. The focus of this current article was on the needs analysis for the reconstructing a syllabus for ELT Methodology course. The syllabus for the course should be renewed since the ministry of education, culture, research and technology of Indonesia demanded that the syllabus utilized for the universities in Indonesia should be based on case method or team-based project. This study involved the lecturer teaching the course in English Language Education Study Program of Universitas Maritim Raja Ali Haji (UMRAH), the head of the English Language Education Study Program of UMRAH, and a class of ELT students taking the ELT Methodology course in UMRAH. The data were collected from interview, questionnaire and documentation. Using the data from the aforementioned three sources in this current research, the syllabus developers can begin to identify the most important aspects to be included in the syllabus.

The pandemic covid 19 in Indonesia has entered the second year and may be extended into the next several periods of time. As academia, study space has shifted from physical office and class into virtual space. Several design adaptations have been applied in our home to accommodate the preference of users as students/lecturers in teach, work, and study. This study was performed by literature review, questionnaires and software simulation. The result showed that there is a strong relation between virtual space and physical space during a pandemic; the preference of study space design shows a generic template for further developments.

Comparison of fig leaves with stevia leaves and drying time were evaluated for their effect on the quality of fig leaf teabags. The study was designed using a factorial completely randomized design with 2 factors: the ratio of fig leaves to stevia leaves (D) and drying time (P). The results of the analysis showed that the ratio of fig leaves and stevia leaves had a very significant effect on the water content, total sugar, and total phenol and had no significant effect on the crude fiber content. Drying time has a very significant effect on water content, total phenol, and crude fiber content, and has no significant effect on total sugar. The interaction between the 2 factors gave a very significant effect on the total phenol. The best fig leaf tea formulation is 95% fig leaf: 5% stevia leaf and 120 minutes drying time with antioxidant activity content of 23.81 g/mL.

The third generation of bioethanol production, bioethanol converted from biomass of microalgae. Our reserach aimed to produce bioethanol from substrate microalgae Oscillatoria sp. as substrate has been conducted. Oscillatoria sp. cultured in two media namely Bold Basal and Blue Green 11. microalgae Oscillatoria sp. were cultivated in Bold Basal and Blue Green 11 media hydrolyzed substrate, 0.143 mL/g and 0.496 mL/g, respectively. Unhyrolysate microalgae generated 0.018 mL/g and 3.59 mL/g of reduced sugar, respectively. Biomass obtained from Blue Green 11 media and Bold Basal media were 0.676 g and 0.482 g, respectively. Based on HPLC analysis, Oscillatoria sp. biomass contained maltose. Biomass were hydrolyzed by autoclaving in 121°C for 15 minutes. Bioethanol production was conducted by fermentation process using Saccharomyces cerevisiae as a microbial agent which applied in hydrolysate and non-hydrolysate of microalgae. Ethanol generated from fermentation was analyzed using gas chromatography. Based on gass chromatography data resulted that hydrolysate of microalgae biomass cultivated in Bold Basal medium and in Blue Green 11 medium produced 7% and 23% ethanol, respectively.

Langsa City is one of the City in Aceh Province that suffer from flood disaster almost every year. This research aims to analyze the extent of preparedness of community disaster response of Gampong Seulalah Langsa Lama in Langsa City in the event of the flood disaster. The type of this research is experimental research with phenomenology method. Data processing is done by performing data organizing, reading, and coding. The researchers also made an edge note of the data obtained. Furthermore, researchers conducted development of textural description and structural description. Finally, the researchers described the data obtained. The results of this study indicate that the level of preparedness of community disaster response of Gampong Seulalah Langsa Lama Sub-district in Langsa City is still low. This is due to the level of public awareness on the importance of disaster risk reduction through the response to the disaster is still very minimal. Advice from researchers, the need for a rigorous training effort to increase public awareness on the importance of community disaster response attitude to minimize the risk of the flood disaster. Good disaster preparedness will generate a good response and may minimize disaster risks.

This research aims at describing the complexity of Integrated Instrument Components media (CII) in learning of science at Elementary schools in District Siulak Mukai and at Elementary schools in District Siulak. The research applied a descriptive method which included survey forms. Instruments used were observation sheets. The result of the research showed Integrated Instrument Components media (CII) natural science that complexity at primary school district Siulak was more complex compared with that at primary school district Siulak Mukai. is better than from primary school district Mukai
