Furthermore, it incorporates a GSM-based mechanism with OTP authentication, adding an extra layer of security and efficiency. The GSM module sends a one-time password (OTP) to the user’s registered mobile number before dispensing rations, ensuring that only authorized individuals receive their entitled goods. Customers can select the goods they need from the allocation provided by the Government, and the amount will be automatically deducted from their RFID card based on the goods selected. A microcontroller manages the motor and relay to dispense items, while an alarm system alerts in cases of incorrect OTP entries, effectively deterring unauthorized access to rations. This system promises to make the ration distribution process more efficient, transparent, and accountable. Composites are replacing more conventional materials due to their advantageous properties, such as high strength, hardness, low weight, and wear resistance. In this study, the stir casting method is used to create an Al7075/SiC aluminium matrix composite, and its dry sliding wear behaviour is examined. The EDX and SEM results both show that the silicon carbide is evenly distributed throughout the matrix. The dry sliding wear behaviour of the composites is investigated using the Taguchi L16 orthogonal array to reduce the number of experimental runs. Four key process parameters—reinforcement quantity (0%, 3%, 6%, and 9%), load (15N, 30N, 45N, and 60N), sliding velocity (0.75m/s), sliding distance (1.5m/s), and sliding distance (3m/s)—are evaluated across four levels to determine the best parameter combination for reducing wear rate. S/N ratios are best when the following conditions are met: 3 wt.% SiC reinforcement, 15 N load, 3 m/s sliding velocity, and 800 m sliding distance (as shown in the main effect graphic). Wear rate, frictional force, and coefficient of friction are all affected by the four process parameters, and their effects are often studied using analysis of variance (ANOVA). The Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) outcome indicated that the probability value associated with the applied load was below 0.05, signifying statistical significance.

In the realm of advanced materials, Intermetallic Matrix Composites (IMCs) have garnered significant attention due to their potential for high-temperature applications. This study systematically investigates the influence of various processing parameters on the microstructure and mechanical properties of IMCs. Utilizing a combination of powder metallurgy and subsequent heat treatments, samples were prepared under varied conditions. The microstructural evolution was meticulously examined using Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), revealing distinct morphological changes as a function of processing parameters. Quantitative analysis demonstrated a direct correlation between processing conditions and the distribution, size, and morphology of the reinforcing phases. Mechanical testing, including tensile, compression, and hardness tests, was conducted to evaluate the resultant properties. The findings indicate that specific processing conditions can be optimized to achieve a desirable balance between ductility and strength. Notably, a unique set of parameters was identified that yielded an unprecedented combination of high strength and ductility, challenging the conventional trade-off paradigm in composite materials. This research underscores the critical role of processing in tailoring the microstructure and, consequently, the mechanical performance of IMCs, paving the way for their application in demanding environments.

We also examined the potential for innovative solutions, including advanced material characterization techniques, additive manufacturing, and digital twin technologies, to address these challenges. Our findings reveal that the integration of these technologies can significantly enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of recycling and re-manufacturing processes, enabling the recovery of high-quality materials and components. Furthermore, we highlight the importance of establishing a robust regulatory framework and incentivizing industry participation to accelerate the transition towards a circular economy. This study provides valuable insights for policymakers, industry stakeholders, and researchers working towards the development and implementation of sustainable materials management strategies. By addressing the challenges and harnessing the opportunities identified in this study, we can pave the way for a more sustainable and resource-efficient future.

In an epoch marked by escalating apprehensions regarding the depletion of resources and the destruction of the environment, the notion of closed-loop supply chains (CLSCs) has garnered recognition as a viable and sustainable resolution. The present study examines the interdependent connection between environmental conservation and economic advancement by analysing the recycling and re-manufacturing procedures inside closed-loop supply chains. This paper utilises an extensive case study to investigate the crucial significance of closed-loop supply chains in the processes of recycling and re-manufacturing materials and components. Through a comprehensive examination of the complex relationship between environmental benefits and economic advantages, this study reveals the diverse and nuanced effects that arise from the implementation of closed-loop systems in contemporary supply chain management. The study utilises a mixed-methods methodology, incorporating both quantitative and qualitative studies. The study used quantitative data to measure the extent to which recycling and re-manufacturing processes contribute to the decrease of raw material usage, energy consumption, and greenhouse gas emissions. The study highlights the capacity of closed-loop supply chains to promote circular economy concepts, reduce waste output, and mitigate the environmental impact of companies. This study provides valuable insights that may be utilised by practitioners, politicians, and corporations to make well-informed decisions that prioritise both environmental protection and economic growth in their supply chain strategy.

In the rapidly evolving automotive industry, the longevity and reliability of materials and structures are paramount. This research paper presents a comprehensive Finite Element Analysis (FEA)-based investigation into the fatigue life and durability of materials and structures commonly employed in automotive applications. Utilizing state-of-the-art FEA tools, the study evaluates the stress distributions, strain concentrations, and fatigue-induced deformations under cyclic loading conditions representative of real-world automotive scenarios. A comparative analysis of various automotive materials, including advanced high-strength steels, aluminium alloys, and novel composite materials, is conducted to discern their fatigue performance. The results elucidate the critical regions susceptible to fatigue failure and provide insights into the underlying mechanisms governing material degradation. Furthermore, the study introduces a novel fatigue life prediction model, calibrated against experimental data, offering enhanced accuracy in predicting the lifespan of automotive components. The findings of this research not only contribute to the fundamental understanding of fatigue phenomena in automotive materials but also pave the way for the development of more durable and sustainable vehicles in the future. This work serves as a cornerstone for engineers and researchers aiming to optimize material selection and design strategies, ensuring safer and longer-lasting automotive structures.

Contemporary research on technology and innovation management has gauged blockchain as a catalyst for the electronic-information era. As developing countries around the globe are facing challenges to adopt and implement blockchain, this evidence-based systematic review aims to identify the implementation challenges of blockchain technology for developing countries. A total of 1,298 published documents during the period 2016-2021 from the Scopus, Web of Science, IEEE Xplore, and ScienceDirect databases were explored to recognize 19 appropriate publications for research analysis using a PRISMA flow diagram. Based on the identified challenges from the thorough reviews of these 19 publications, using the association technique, the authors developed four comprehensive themes as broad challenges: technological, governance, organizational and environmental, and knowledge. Later, they performed bibliometric analyses using VOSviewer 1.6.17, and based on the bibliometric evidence constructed term co-occurrence network plots. The results show that developing countries face challenges vis-à-vis technological, governance, organizational and environmental, and knowledge issues when implementing blockchain technology. Hence, to make blockchain adoption and implementation processes successful in developing countries, these broad categories of challenges must be properly addressed. In addition, practitioners of disruptive technology, policymakers, consultants, IT experts, business people, top company managers, and above all, respective governments need to pay attention to these challenges for accelerating the blockchain adoption and implementation process in developing countries. The effect of Corynebacterium parvum (C. parvuum) on the immune response of the guinea pig to ovalbumin varies with the protocol of immunization. The marked effect of C. parvum on the anamnestic response in the rabbit has been confirmed in the guinea pig when immunization is carried out intradermally with a mixture of C. parvum and ovalbumin. When C. parvum is given intravenously or subcutaneously or intradermally but separately from the antigen, this effect is not observed. Whatever the route of injection guinea pigs treated with C. parvum show skin reactions of delayed type hypersensitivity at the site of an intradermal booster when the latter is given at least 27 days after primary immunization.

After intradermal immunization with a mixture of Corynebacterium parvum (C. parvum) and ovalbumin guinea pigs show a markedly increased anamnestic response to an intradermal booster of ovalbumin as compared to controls treated with ovalbumin only. At the same time a reaction of delayed type hypersensitivity is observed in the treated animals, but not in controls. The enhanced anamnestic response as well as the posivitive skin reaction were transferred to strain 2 histocompatible guinea pigs by peripheral blood leukocytes as well as by peritoneal exudate cells. Passive transfer was not obtained after prior irradiation of donor animals.
