In general, the flow of detailed data through the physical sensing of the mechanical system and the analysis of the production process is important as well as the development of the CPS(cyber-physical system) system in smartizing the production plant. In this study, stream is composed of three main fields in order to make fabric factory as smart factory. The three streams are divided into a knitting process, a dyeing process, and a sewing process. It can be made into a system that can monitor and manage the fabric production process as an integrated system by connecting the three separated streams. Physical sensors are developed and applied to the textile machines used in the three streams, and software programs for collecting and delivering data was performed together to construct a system for data collection per stream.

Compacted Graphite Iron, (CGI) is known to have outstanding mechanical strength and weight-to-strength ratio as compared to conventional grey cast iron, (CI). The outstanding characteristics of CGI is due to its graphite particle shape, which is presented as compacted vermicular particle. The graphite is interconnected with random orientation and round edges, which results in higher mechanical strength. Whereas, graphite in the CI consists of a smooth-surfaced flakes that easily propagates cracks which results in weaker and brittle properties as compared to CGI. Owing to its improved properties, CGI is considered as the best candidate material in substituting grey cast iron that has been used in engine block applications for years. However, the smooth implementation of replacing CI with CGI has been hindered due to the poor machinability of CGI especially at high cutting speed. The tool life is decreased by 20 times when comparing CGI with CI under the same cutting condition. This study investigates the effect of using cryogenic cooling and minimum quantity lubrication (MQL) during high-speed milling of CGI (grade 450). Results showed that, the combination of internal cryogenic cooling and enhanced MQL improved the tool life, cutting force and surface quality as compared to the conventional flood coolant strategy during high-speed milling of CGI.

Many studies of DiMethyl Ether (DME) as an alternative fuel in Compression-Ignition (CI) engines have been performed. Although diverse DME engine research has been conducted, the investigation of combustion behavior and temperature distribution in the combustion engine has not progressed due to the fact that there is no sooting flame in DME combustion. In order to investigate the combustion characteristics in this study, the KIVA-3 V code was implemented to research various pilot injection strategies on a single-cylinder CI engines with DME and Ultra-Low-Sulfur Diesel (ULSD) fuels. The combustion distribution results obtained from the numerical investigation were validated when compared with the measurement of flame temperature behaviors in the experimental approach. This study showed that long intervals between two injection timings enhanced pilot combustion by increasing the ambient pressure and temperature before the start of the main combustion. Different atomization properties between DME and ULSD fuels contributed to the formation of a fuel-air mixture at the nozzle tip and piston lip regions, separately, which strongly affected the temperature distribution of the two fuels. In addition, the pilot injection timing played a vital role in regard to ignition delay and peak combustion temperatures. Exhaust emissions, such as NOx and soot, are related to the local equivalence ratio and temperature in the combustion chamber, also illustrated by the contrary result on a Φ (equivalence ratio) – T (temperature) map.
