Dans un pays qui encourage le développement d’une économie fondée sur le savoir, l’investissement pédagogique est la source essentielle de la prospérité. Le Programme national a pour objectif d’assurer la réussite de l’apprentissage scolaire des élèves tout en y incluant l’optimisation de leurs dispositions. Il s’agit de former des citoyens capables d’une pensée plus créative, plus autonome pour répondre aux défis économiques et d’enseigner des contenus scolaires liés à des savoirs spécifiques, tout en tenant compte des besoins de chaque élève et en valorisant les capacités et les talents de chacun. Cela implique une redéfinition des notions de savoir et d’apprentissage, de valorisation des processus d’apprentissage, de dépassement de la culture des résultats. La mise en œuvre de ces dispositions ne va pas sans contradictions, ambiguïtés et résistances. Elle suppose en outre la modification et la diversification des modes d’évaluation. In a country which fosters the development of an economy based on knowledge, investment in school education is the main source of prosperity. The National Curriculum aims at ensuring the successful learning of students while optimizing their aptitudes. The main drift is to train citizens capable of thinking in a more creative and autonomous way so as to meet the economic challenges and to teach academic contents related to a specific knowledge while taking into account each and every student’s needs and maximizing the capacities and talents of everyone. That implies a redefinition of the notions of knowledge and learning, of the improved status of learning processes, of going beyond the mere culture of performance. These measures can hardly be implemented without contradictions, ambiguities and resistances. Moreover, their very implementation supposes that the ways of assessing students be modified and diversified. En un país que fomenta el desarrollo de una economía fundamentada en el conocimiento, la inversión pedagógica constituye la fuente esencial de la prosperidad. El objetivo del Programa Nacional es garantizar el éxito del aprendizaje escolar de los alumnos al mismo tiempo que se optimizan las disposiciones legales al respecto. Se trata de formar ciudadanos capaces de desarrollar un pensamiento más creativo y autónomo que responda a los desafíos económicos, y de enseñar contenidos académicos asociados a conocimientos concretos, pero teniendo siempre en cuenta las necesidades de cada alumno y valorando sus aptitudes y talentos individuales. Ello requiere volver a definir los conceptos de conocimiento y aprendizaje, dar valor a los procesos de aprendizaje y superar la cultura de los resultados. La aplicación de estas disposiciones da lugar a algunas contradicciones, ambigüedades y resistencias. Además, exige la modificación y diversificación de las fórmulas de evaluación.

Natural dyes from plants, insects, and fungi can be used to color yarns and textiles by craftspeople. Craft communities interested in natural dyes are using social media platforms such as Instagram to connect and share knowledge and to generate commerce for their products. #Naturaldye is a documentary film that explores the use of Instagram as a pedagogical, social, commercial, and creative space where dyers foster community and support businesses. Participants in the film discuss what types of information they find essential to articulate while also describing themselves as part of a community of other makers and artists. Theoretically, #Naturaldye is situated at the intersection of the circuit of style-fashion-dress (Kaiser, 2012) and imagined communities (Anderson, 1983). Social media platforms like Instagram enable articulation between fashion, textiles, commerce, and craftspeople where knowledge of natural dyes, dyers, and their work is conveyed to a wider array of individuals that become part of an imagined community through craft.
