- Abstract
The use of antiretroviral drugs for HIV, on demand, for prophylaxis, has been approved for marketing in France since March 2017. The vast majority of beneficiaries are homosexual men. In addition to the presentation of these patients under Prep to proctologic emergencies, programmed proctological consultations are very often proposed by infectious physicians. There are currently no recommendations regarding the content of these consultations. This mini-review attempts to shed light on these new practices, with a sharing of our experience based on the epidemiology of human Papilloma Virus (HPV) lesions. The key elements for these patients are: information on HPV contamination and other sexually transmitted infections (STIs), a careful clinical examination, the treatment of observed lesions and their monitoring. Many questions arise regarding the indication for an HPV vaccine in these patients, the possibility of an increase in the resistance of other STIs and the pace of follow-up to offer them.
