- Abstract
Despite a decreasing incidence, gastric cancer remains a burden. Generally discovered at an advanced stage, survival improved with progress in perioperative treatment and surgical management. Preoperative staging is essential to accurately classify the tumor and introduce the appropriate treatment. Tumor location is particularly important because the treatment of tumors of the esophageal junction and the stomach is different. Minimally invasive techniques can probably reduce postoperative morbidity and help to put patients in the best possible conditions for adjuvant treatment., Competing Interests: Les auteurs n’ont déclaré aucun conflit d’intérêts en relation avec cet article.
