This critical compe-tence is vital for fostering global connections, promoting mutual respect, and facilitating effective interna-tional collaboration. This paper delves into the significance of cross-cultural competence, dissecting its es-sential components and outlining effective strategies for its cultivation among students. It emphasizes the pivotal role of education in nurturing cultural awareness, honing communication skills, fostering empathy, and enhancing adaptability—key elements that together form a robust framework for developing cross-cul-tural acumen. We argue that educators and educational institutions play a crucial role in equipping students with the necessary knowledge and skills to thrive in diverse settings. Through the implementation of experi-ential learning opportunities, engagement in intercultural exchange programs, and the adoption of inclusive curricula that reflect the rich tapestry of global cultures, students are encouraged to step beyond their comfort zones. This paper champions the integration of cross-cultural competence into educational practices, high-lighting its importance not only as a critical aspect of personal development but also as a strategic imperative for success in the 21st century. By fostering an educational environment that values and promotes understand-ing across cultures, we prepare students to become adept navigators of our complex, multicultural world, thereby underscoring the profound significance of cross-cultural competence in shaping future global citizens.

In order to accurately grasp consumers’ demand for regional cultural and creative products, this paper introduced the fuzzy Kano model demand algorithm. Firstly, the initial requirements of cultural and creative products were divided into three levels, and the corresponding fuzzy Kano questionnaire was designed. Then, through questionnaire survey and matrix processing of its data, the category of demand items was clarified, and the priority calculation of demand items was carried out with the help of the better-worse coefficient. Finally, it is concluded that consumers’ preference for regional cultural and creative products is mainly concentrated in the behaviour layer and reflective layer, which could provide direction for the design of regional cultural and creative products.

In order to inherit the intangible cultural heritage of Yi nationality and enhance the added value of the local cultural tourism products, this paper combines QFD and TRIZ to carry out research on the creative product design of intangible cultural heritage of Yi nationality. Firstly, draw technical conflicts by analyzing user needs and product technical requirements with QFD. Secondly, describe it as a standard problem using TRIZ theory, and a reasonable solution to cultural and creative product design is obtained by querying the contradiction matrix table. Finally, through design demonstration, the integration of QFD and TRIZ provides an effective and scientific method for creative product design of intangible cultural heritage of Yi nationality, and new research idea for innovative design of cultural and creative products.

Based on fuzzy analytic hierarchy process, this paper studied and established a comprehensive evaluation model of L-shaped kitchen cabinets from four aspects, which are as follows: functionality, aesthetics, economy and safety, the weight value of each attribute was calculated, then the model was applied to a kitchen cabinet product design. The results show that the economic and safety factors have high weight values in the kitchen cabinets product design, which means those aspects of kitchen cabinets product design should be adjusted to improve overall performance. FAHP has high feasibility and effectiveness in the practices of comprehensive evaluation, which can provide a reference for the evaluation and optimization of kitchen cabinets product design.

From the perspective of modern furniture innovative design, this paper analyzes the application extent of geometric language in modern furniture, and provides new design ideas for modern furniture symbolization. By studying the elements of geometric language, such as point, line, surface, color block, shape, through combination, division, superposition, reconstruction and other methods, a variety of symbolic modelling elements are created. Finally, three principles of product symbolic design are summarized, and at the same time, combined with color matching, material selection, man-machine size, using functions, which could be applied into modern furniture design.

This study was performed to investigate the status and exiting problems of bus station design use by using comparative analysis, literature analysis, case analysis and other methods, then provide references for functional requirements of bus station. The theoretical and practical analysis says that principle of sustainability, demand, safety, humanization and cultural heritage should be considered in bus station design. Finally, the research results of this study were demonstrated by the case of two bus station design plans, and the development trend of bus station design are forecasted in order to provide certain scientific basis for the design of bus station in the future.

This article takes the lumbar muscles of degeneration status of Chinese sanitation workers as the starting point, analyzed the waist health status of sanitation workers in China. The design conception of sanitation products for the lumbar muscles of degeneration of sanitation workers was obtained by analysis, and the design of today's sanitation products are rethought, use relevant research results to demonstrate that. With sanitation products as the design center, it integrates many research contents such as ergonomics, appearance, function, process and cost. To this article has designed tools that sanitation workers can use to protect their waists while working, It also provides a new idea for the wide design of sanitation products. It is conducive to maintaining the basic rights and interests of sanitation workers and promoting the urbanization process and the harmonious development of society.
