National audience; Les applications de diffusion de flots multimédia en direct via un réseau pair à pair (P2P IPTV) sont en plein essor et promises à un bel avenir. Leur utilisation massive va fortement augmenter le trafic réseau de l'Internet. C'est pourquoi il est important de caractériser leur trafic afin d'évaluer leurs effets sur le réseau. Dans cet article, nous étudions le trafic d'applications P2P IPTV. Nous avons pour cela mesuré leur trafic et nous caractérisons sa structure à différentes échelles temporelles en utilisant une méthode de transformées en ondelettes. Notre analyse montre que les propriétés d'échelle du trafic P2P IPTV sont différentes suivant que les applications utilisent principalement TCP ou UDP. Les caractéristiques du trafic descendant sont différentes de celles du trafic montant. La signalisation utilisée a également un impact significatif sur les propriétés du trafic descendant, mais n'affecte pas le trafic montant. Ces observations nous permettront de concevoir des modèles de trafic P2P IPTV réalistes qui sont des éléments essentiels pour modéliser ou simuler correctement ces systèmes.
