Traditional cooking techniques prevalent contribute to deforestation, indoor air pollution, and associated health issues. This study explores the transformative potential limitations for improved biomass cookstoves (ICS) uptake among the rural households in Kilimanjaro. ICS offer a faster, more efficient cooking process, reducing cooking time, minimizing heat loss, preserving nutrients, fostering healthier eating habits, and enhancing the flavor of meals. Data were gathered from 300 families in two districts through a crosssectional study, employing both quantitative and qualitative analysis, a binary regression analysis model was used to analyze data collected. The findings indicate that firewood is the major cooking fuel source in the region, where preferred by 83.0% of all respondents and 91.70% of population utilize traditional cookstoves while only 13.0% utilize ICS. The results show that income, education level, occupation and awareness of the household head have greater effect on the uptake of ICS, result indicates that the probability of utilize ICS would increase by 63.173 for every unit increase in monthly household income. Furthermore, households with higher education are more likely to utilize ICS technology by 4.579 times higher compared to those with lower education level. Therefore, the study suggests initiating on public campaign to raise the public awareness and encourage the uptake and utilization of improved cookstoves in rural households. The study's insights can guide policymakers, businesses, and stakeholders in promoting realistic cooking solutions, addressing and overcoming financial barriers of energy challenges, and tackling environmental issues in rapidly growth population in Tanzania.

Research has shown that AI algorithms can generate unique digital art forms and automate tasks in traditional painting processes, freeing up time and effort for artists. The field of AI painting holds immense potential and further research and development will likely lead to new and innovative applications. In addition, this technology has a long way to go on the road of commercialization.

With the rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) technology, it is increasingly being utilized in the field of education, particularly in foreign language teaching. The concept of education meta-universe is also gaining popularity, and the emergence of ChatGPT has revolutionized traditional foreign language teaching methods. AI technologies such as speech recognition, machine translation, and natural language processing have proven to be effective tools to help students improve their foreign language learning outcomes. However, the application of these technologies also brings some challenges and problems. This paper aims to discuss the impact of AI on foreign language teaching, analyze its advantages and disadvantages, explore its future development trend, and provide suggestions for educators to make better use of AI technologies to assist foreign language teaching.

Water resources are important natural resources and play a key role in economic development and social life. China is one of the countries with the most serious water shortage in the world. In the next few decades, the contradiction between supply and demand of water resources will always plague China. Increasing the use of unconventional water resources to mitigate the water crisis is necessary way to achieve a sustainable development. There has been no effective standard yet in China to evaluate the exploitation level and potential of unconventional water resources. This study describes the current status of the exploitation and aims at establishing an evaluation system incorporating the three relevant factors, namely, driving, restrictive, and risk factors respectively, and provides a theoretical basis for the management of unconventional water resources in China. In order to mine the relationship between data and evaluation indexes, the rough set theory is adopted to determine the weight and objectively reflect the importance of each evaluation index. On the basis of the evaluation system, relevant data from 2006 to 2017 in Beijing were selected, and the results show that the urgency of unconventional water resources development in Beijing was generally on the rise with a small fluctuation range.

Results of experimental studies of heat-and-mass transfer and hydrodynamic processes at distillation on a regular packing are presented. The mixture of freons R114–R21 at the pressure of 0.3 MPa was used as a working mixture. The mixture was separated on the Mellapak 350Y structured packing with the diameter of 0.9 m under the conditions of complete reflux (L/V = 1) at different packing heights. A specially designed liquid distributor with a possibility to change the density and pattern of drip points was used to irrigate the packing. The experimental data on the efficiency of mixture separation (height of transfer unit HTU) and distribution of the local flow rate density over the column cross-section were compared. It is shown that an increase in the height of the structured packing from 2.1 m to 4.0 m leads to a significant decrease in the efficiency of mixture separation in the distillation column.
