The term ‘Chinese dama’ was originally coined by the Wall Street Journal in 2013 to refer to a group of middle-aged and elderly Chinese women who, somewhat frenetically, purchased gold or other items. This study employs a cognitive-linguistic approach to critical discourse analysis to examine how Chinese damas are linguistically mediatised in the Chinese English-language news media. A specialised corpus of 41 news articles with 26661 words, covering the years between 2013 and 2019, was built for this purpose. Informed by Maslow’s ‘hierarchy of needs’ theory, four most recurrent themes of Chinese dama news discourses were identified and coded. The analysis of these discourses suggests that whilst there is divergence in how newspapers construe Chinese damas’ participation in social activities when they are agentive, there is convergence in terms of schematising the conflicts between Chinese damas and the other parties. This seems to fit with the media’s ideological framework, steering ultimately towards the legitimisation of excluding Chinese female seniors from the public realm.

In order to meet the requirements of precise investment in the distribution network under the new power reform, this paper proposes an optimization model for the investment decision of the distribution network. With the largest net present value rate and the smallest comprehensive cost of grid operation as the optimization goal, and certain capital constraints as constraints, a distribution network 0-1 programming model is established and solved by LINGO software; the analysis of an example shows that this model can ensure the safety of investment in the distribution network and the precise investment allocation in the distribution network under certain financial constraints.

The stable regulation of cerebral blood flow plays an important role in the normal operation of brain function. The disturbance of cerebral blood flow automatic regulation will lead to brain injury and lead to cerebrovascular disease. Therefore, it is of practical clinical significance to study the fine modeling of intracranial blood vessels. First of all, based on the anatomic structure of the intracranial blood vessels, the above sagittal sinus vein, sigmoid sinus, superior petrosal sinus, transverse sinus and cerebral arterial circle were mainly modeled, the three-dimensional model of cerebral blood flow is constructed. Secondly, the three-dimensional model is given conductivity characteristics. Through the expansion and contraction of cerebral blood vessels to simulate the self-regulation of cerebral blood flow, the simulation method of cerebral blood flow impedance is studied. When the blood flow changes, the brain impedance is calculated. The simulation data shows that the change trend of the electric potential and the whole brain impedance of the outer layer of the brain is consistent with the theoretical analysis. The experimental results show that the impedance curves and changes calculated by the brain model in this study are consistent with the measured impedance results, which shows that the modeling method in this paper is precise and effective, and provides a theoretical basis for further study of cerebral blood flow problems.

Asphalt mixtures were immersed in the fuel oil to study the oil corrosion resistance. The mechanical performance of asphalt mixtures in the oil was evaluated by the observation, mass loss measurement, Marshall stability test and splitting strength test. Effects of immersion time, binder types, and anti-oil corrosion additive content were analyzed. It is found that there is the evident stripping after immersing the mixture in the oil. The stability test and strength significantly decrease. Using the anti-oil corrosion additive can effectively improve the mechanical performance of asphalt mixtures in the oil. It still can satisfy the criteria after immersing for 7 days. Finally, the optimum anti-oil corrosion additive content of 0.4% is recommended.

This thesis will take the narrative theory as the foundation, analyzing the narrative method of luxury display space. The author adopts the literature research method, systematic analysis method, and interdisciplinary research method to study the luxury display space. By discussing the relationship between the narrative theory and luxury exhibition space, and combining with the cases of luxury brand exhibition space, this paper explores how to apply the narrative theory to the design of luxury exhibition space. Re-examining the spatial narrative from an interdisciplinary perspective is not only conducive to the emotional communication between brands and consumers, but also conducive to the value construction and promotion of luxury brands.

With the rapid economic and social development, human disturbances to the ecosystem have become more and more intense. However, the scale of regional economic and social development, supported by regional water resources, has boundaries. The central government and local governments of all levels have clearly proposed to carry out water resources carrying capacity evaluation and early warning. From the perspective of the actual management of the county water administrative department, with the administrative divisions within the county as the basic unit, the principle of index selection and index grading standards determination is proposed, and an index system including the four major levels of society, economy, water resources, and ecology is constructed. Then, combined with the functions of various government departments, the basic framework of a universal water resources carrying capacity early warning mechanism, including three major processes: carrying capacity evaluation and update, early warning information release, and implementation of differentiated control measures, is proposed.

In this paper, combined with experiments and theoretical calculations, the effect of urban low-calorific value sludge on the slagging characteristics of easy-slagging coals is studied. The results show that when the melting point of sludge ash is lower than that of coal ash, the ash melting point of the mixture after the two blends will be lower than the melting point of raw coal ash. When SiO2 and Al2O3, which are relatively high in sludge, are used as single additives, the ash melting point of coal will first decrease and then increase. As the mixing ratio of sludge increases, coal ash slagging characteristics show a trend of gradual relief. For coals that are prone to slagging and rich in alkali metals, they can be appropriately mixed with sludge rich in silicon and aluminum compounds or additives to improve Slagging characteristics.

WeChat, a new instant messaging software, has been popularized nowadays. In order for WeChat to have the maximum impact on the ideological and political education areas, we need to have a deep understanding of the characteristics and regulars which attract students in the communication process, and combine WeChat platform with ideological and political education to attract students motivated to learn the content of ideological politics. This article, starting with college students, aims to understand their thinking and use of WeChat, and pertinently use WeChat platform to enhance the attractiveness and effectiveness of ideological and political education.
