As a basic industry for national development, the development of agriculture will reduce food insecurity, get rid of resource dependence and achieve broader development. This paper constructs a four-dimensional measurement system of food production, economic development, ecological protection, and social progress by considering food security. Comprehensive agricultural development in Sichuan Province from 2004 to 2018 was evaluated by using improved entropy method and coupling coordination degree model (CCD). The study found that: (1) From 2004 to 2018, comprehensive development of the four subsystems in Sichuan agriculture are different, ecological protection (9.62%) > social progress (3.34%)> economic development (2.61%)> food production (-0.44%); (2) The comprehensive development level of agriculture in Sichuan Province had been continuously improved from 2004 to 2018, with obvious phase characteristics; (3) The coordination development among subsystems advanced in volatility, which is adjusted from the medium to the optimal level of coordination. Finally, based on the above conclusions, Sichuan agricultural sustainable development can be improved from the perspective of food production, economic development and social progress on the basis of ecological protection.

This paper collected panel data of 74 countries from 1990 to 2017, and based on the Chinn-It index to depict the degree of capital account opening. Under the framework of the neoclassical economic growth model, the impact of capital account opening on economic growth was empirically tested by systematic GMM. The results show that: first, taking the overall capital account openness as the explanatory variable, the coefficient of the capital account openness of the whole sample is significantly positive. Further, considering the national differences found that high income countries capital account openness coefficient is significantly positive, but in low and middle-income countries capital account openness coefficient on economic and statistical significance were not significant, indicating that high income countries made open dividends, while in low and middle-income countries and earnings in the capital account liberalization. Finally, it proposes to open the capital account sub-projects step by step, strengthen prudent supervision in the process of further opening the capital account, and improve the regulatory legal system.

Sustainable concept has been a topic that is of broad and current interest in applying in many different areas of development. A sustainable concept encompasses three main criteria, namely environmental, social, and economic. This sustainable concept has usually been defined as the ability to develop something to meet the present needs yet it does not compromise the ability of future generation to meet their needs. Whereas waste management plays an important role in managing the municipal solid wastes produced. The landfill has been widely used in the disposal of solid wastes. However, the negative impacts caused by landfill have led to the need for application of sustainable concept. The acceptance of sustainable concept by stakeholders will determine the possibility of moving into sustainable waste management. This study aims at assessing the of acceptance by the stakeholders in the application of the sustainable concept into landfill. The research was conducted by reviewing of the past similar researches and through interview with ten waste management stakeholders. The results obtained show that there are some limitations in terms of understanding on the concept of sustainability and the willingness in accepting on this concept. Further action should taken in and moving towards sustainable waste management.
