In this study, the relationship between human capital and global competition in OECD countries was analyzed. In the application part of the study, a panel data set was established for 18 OECD countries for which healthy data could be reached with the data obtained from the World Economic Forum (WEF) and Penn World Table (PWT) databases. The period of the study is the period of 2004-2018. As a result of the application, it was determined that there is a bilateral causality relationship in the short run between the Human Capital Index and the Global Competitiveness Index.

Bu çalışmada BIST100 hisse senedi endeksinin faiz, döviz kuru ve altın fiyatları açısından duyarlılığının belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaçla 4 Ocak 2000-28 Haziran 2021 dönemini kapsayan günlük veriler kullanılarak tüm örneklem dönemine ilişkin değişkenler arasındaki uzun ve kısa dönem ilişkilerinin COVID-19 pandemi dönemi ile kıyaslandığında nasıl seyrettiği Johansen-Juselius eşbütünleşme analizi, Granger nedensellik testi, varyans ayrıştırma ve etki-tepki analizleri uygulanarak araştırılmıştır. Elde edilen bulgulara göre, eşbütünleşme analizi için bağımlı değişkenin BIST100 endeksi getirisi olduğu durumda değişkenler arasında bir uzun dönem ilişki bulunmuş olup; altın fiyatlarının BIST100 üzerinde anlamlı bir etkisi bulunamamıştır. Granger nedensellik analizi sonuçları ise ele alınan dönem için BIST 100 endeksi ile hem döviz kuru hem de faiz serisi arasında çift yönlü bir nedensellik ilişkisinin varlığını saptarken, BIST100 endeksinden altın fiyatlarına doğru tek yönlü bir nedensellik ilişkisi ortaya koymuştur. COVID-19 dönemi ele alındığında %5 anlamlılık düzeyinde seriler arasında bir uzun dönem ilişkisi bulunamamış olup, %10 anlamlılık düzeyinde bulunan bir eşbütünleşik ilişki için ise hata düzeltme mekanizması yalnızca bağımlı değişkenin faiz oranları olduğu durumda çalışmıştır. Ayrıca bu dönemde genel dönemdeki kısa dönem ilişkilerinin tersine BIST100 endeksindeki değişimi serinin kendisinden sonra en çok açıklayan değişkenin altın fiyatları olduğu saptanmış olup, altın fiyatlarından BIST100’e doğru ve BIST100’den faiz oranlarına doğru tek yönlü nedensellik ilişkileri elde edilmiştir.

Çalışmanın amacı Türkiye için enflasyonun 2008 sonrası belirleyicilerini araştırmaktır. Değişkenler arasındaki ilişkiyi saptamak için 2008:1-2019:12 dönemini kapsayan aylık veriler zaman serisi analizi ile test edilmektedir. Johansen eşbütünleşme analizine göre, serilerin uzun dönemde eşbütünleşik olduğu görülmektedir. Granger nedensellik test sonuçları incelendiğine, TÜFE ile hampetrol ve doğalgaz fiyatları, reel efektif döviz kuru ve yurtiçi kredi hacmi arasında çift yönlü nedensellik ilişkisi tespit edilmektedir. Bununla birlikte, TÜFE’den para arzı ve politika faiz oranına doğru tek yönlü bir nedensellik ilişkisi mevcutken, ÜFE ile bankalarca mevduatlara verilen faiz oranından TÜFE’ye doğru tek yönlü nedensellik ilişkisinin varlığı ortaya çıkmaktadır. Ayrıca VAR analizi temelinde gerçekleştirilen etki-tepki fonksiyonları ve varyans ayrıştırması sonuçları değerlendirilmektedir.

The inflationary process has become a phenomenon that has a significant influence on society in general and it is therefore important to be managed in an efficient manner. The objective of this study is to analyze the core inflation measures in Romania, after the adoption of direct inflation targeting regime in August 2005. In order to identify the causal link between the core inflation measures and inflation quantified by the Consumer Price Index (CPI), the Granger causality test is used. The study results indicate that only on the short-term the CORE 1 inflation (calculated using the Consumer Price Index from which the administered prices are eliminated) has influence on the total inflation, among the other core inflation measures and total inflation rate, the statistical relationships being insignificant.

The objective of this paper is to determine the factors affecting the level of insurance using different models and econometric techniques on data for the period 1974- 2011. The results of the MCO indicate that the real density depends positively on real GDP per capita, the liquidity ratio and the life expectancy and negatively on the level of study. The test of Granger causality does not indicate a causal relationship between the real density and real GDP per capita. Rural financial development has played a vital role in the process of agricultural economic growth. This article explores the relationship between rural financial development and agricultural economic growth by utilizing China’s time series data from 1978 to 2011. The empirical result shows that there is a long-run equilibrium relationship between China’s rural financial development and agricultural economic growth, and the rural financial development has a negative effect on agricultural economic growth. RFD is the Granger Cause of AEG in 10% significance level. Based on these empirical results, some rural financial service policies have also been proposed so as to ensure the smooth running of the rural economy.
