Purpose: This study investigates the support systems and needs of siblings of young people with cancer, shedding light on the emotional and informational challenges they face. Design and Methods: Qualitative interviews were conducted, and thematic analysis was employed to gain in-depth insights into the experiences and perspectives of siblings. While the study's relatively small sample size and participant homogeneity are acknowledged limitations, it offers several strengths, including relevance and participant diversity across age cohorts. Results: The findings underscore the essential role of healthcare professionals, particularly nurses, in providing emotional and informational support to siblings. Family-centered care, psychosocial support, tailored interventions, and ongoing research and education are recommended to address the unique needs of siblings effectively. Conclusion: Overall, this study highlights the importance of recognizing and addressing the support needs of siblings in pediatric oncology care, emphasizing their role as a vital component of the family system and advocating for holistic support throughout the cancer journey and beyond.

Objectif : Cette étude examine les systèmes de soutien et les besoins des frères et sœurs des jeunes touchés par un cancer, mettant en lumière les défis émotionnels et informationnels auxquels les frères et sœurs sont confrontés. Ce domaine a reçu relativement peu d'attention. Devis et méthodologie : Des entretiens qualitatifs ont été menés et une analyse thématique a été utilisée pour obtenir des perspectives approfondies sur les expériences et les points de vue des frères et sœurs. Bien que la taille relativement petite de l'échantillon de l'étude et l'homogénéité des participants soient reconnues comme des limites, l'approche présente plusieurs forces, notamment la pertinence et la diversité des participants dans les cohortes d'âge. Résultats : Les résultats soulignent le rôle essentiel des professionnels de la santé, en particulier des infirmières pour fournir du soutien émotionnel et informationnel aux frères et sœurs. Une approche centré sur la famille, un soutien psycho- social, et des interventions personnalisées sont recommandés pour répondre de manière efficace aux besoins spécifiques de la fratrie. Conclusion : Dans l'ensemble, cette étude met en lumière l'importance de reconnaître et de répondre aux besoins de soutien des frères et sœurs dans les soins en oncologie pédiatrique, en mettant en avant leur rôle en tant que composante essentielle du système familial. Cette étude souligne l'importance de fournir un soutien à la fratrie pendant et après l'expérience du cancer.

Conclusion. | (Abstract) The GDPR is designed to render data protection rights more effective and to address the challenges created by the digital world. In line with the understanding of the right to data protection as data subjects’ right to have control over their data, the GDPR empowers data subjects through individual choice. However, the market power of big tech casts doubts on individuals’ ability to choose. In particular, reliance on consent is problematic when dealing with dominant platforms. If an individual does not have alternatives on the market, can the consent for the processing of personal data be considered as freely given? This issue is at the core of the case against Facebook brought by the German competition authority, now before the CJEU. This Article puts the case into context and discusses what it could mean for the regulation of big tech in the future. The focus is on the novel assertion of Advocate-General Rantos that dominance plays a role in the assessment of the freedom of consent under the GDPR. This statement raises two main issues surrounding the role of market power in the GDPR that this Article seeks to address. Firstly, how should data protection authorities assess dominance? Secondly, what role should dominance play in the assessment of the validity of consent? The Article aims to further the debate around how to ensure the continued future-proofness of the GDPR in the digital market, in light of the market power of tech companies. It proposes to introduce a two-tier approach which reduces the extent to which dominant firms can rely on consent for data processing.

Dans ce volume dédié à notre très chère collègue italianiste Théa Picquet, nous avons voulu consacrer un article à une femme parmi les plus puissantes de la Renaissance. Une femme qui joua un rôle de première importance dans les vicissitudes politiques européennes de la première partie du XVIe siècle. Il s’agit de Marguerite de Habsbourg, la tante de Charles Quint, connue aussi sous les noms de Marguerite d’Autriche ou Marguerite de Savoie, fille de l’empereur Maximilien Ier de la famille des Habsbourg et de Marie de Bourgogne, fille de Charles dit le Téméraire. Sa vie est un exemple du rôle réservé aux femmes de la haute noblesse européenne de cette époque, rôle dicté par l’obéissance et la soumission aux politiques matrimoniales dynastiques, mais elle donne aussi à voir un modèle de femme de lettres, de poétesse et de protectrice des arts qui trouva le moyen de s’affirmer dans un monde dominé par le pouvoir patriarcal.

The paper focuses on the technological inventions made by the artist Michele Sambin during his activity with the Tam Teatromusica theater group, founded in 1980 together with Pierangela Allegro and Laurent Dupont. Since 1970s Michele Sambin has been conducting a research across multiple artistic territories – painting, music, cinema, video, performance and theater –, recombining their codes in the idea of probing the possibilities of relationship and conflict between images and sounds. This peculiar interdisciplinary approach is combined with the constant interest in subverting and reinventing the technological tools available on the marketplace. While taking into account the historical-critical contexts and the linguistic and aesthetic changes that have marked the various decades of the Italian and international theatrical practices from the 1980s till today, the analysis attempts to restore the richness of the artist’s experiments, assuming as lines guides the technical and technological inventions that from time to time have forged the conceptual and aesthetic dimensions of Tam Teatromusica’s performances. However, reading the history of this group through the lens of the technological devices used, does not mean considering its artistic production as a deterministic response to technological innovation, it means shifting the emphasis on the interrelation between the technical and expressive possibilities of the tools, the discourses that orient their uses and practices that reinterpret their values, discarding their underlying ideologies.

The paper focuses on women’s condition in totalitarian regimes, in the light of the principles of the Italian Constitution. To this end, the paper will examine three main aspects. Firstly, the analysis will focus on the condition of women during the Nazi and Fascist totalitarian regimes. The proposed historical and legal reconstruction aims at identifying some key traits featuring the condition of women in the context of totalitarian regimes: the exclusion of women from the labour market and, more broadly, from the public sphere; the propaganda of an ideal-type of woman; the segregation of minority women (e.g. prostitutes, homosexuals, women with disabilities); the creation of masses of refugees fleeing regimes. Secondly, the paper will hinge on the Italian Constitution, that promoted a vision in clear rupture with the previous fascist regime with regard to women’s condition and to the strong protection granted to people fleeing regimes set forth under Article 10, paragraph 3 of the Italian Constitution. At the outset, the paper aims at reflecting on the current system of human rights protection in light of the 2021 takeover of the Taliban regime in Afghanistan, by way of underlying the specifics of the actual status of Afghan women

Nicholas of Cusa elaborates the doctrine of the human spirit as a Metaphysics of Subjectivity. The Cusanus shows that the being of mind is its own operation and its own deployment that becomes either a form or a conjectural world entity. The deployment of every mind in a symbolic world has a unique and irreducible character. In order to elaborate this doctrine that advances modernity, the Cusanus responds to the relation between unit and number, which comes from the Platonic-Pythagorean Tradition.

The idea of death in Spinoza’s philosophy. This paper focuses on two aspects of Spinoza’s account of death. On the one hand, it analyses the idea of death which can be object of scientific investigation. On the other hand, it considers the idea of death psychologically linked to our fear of death. Spinoza’s reductionist perspective over all natural phenomena includes death itself. Death is in fact a natural phenomenon which, in its real effects on our affective life, can be object of rational enquiry. However, the fear of one’s own death remains a constant challenge for any rational man. No positive meditation on death is possible. A free man is not free because he does not fear death; on the contrary, he does not fear death because he is free, that is to say that his mind thinks of something else.

Untergetaucht – Clandestina: voices in Nazi Berlin. A sociolinguistic analysis. The article deals with the problems related to the translation of multilingual texts, in which diatopic, diastratic and diaphasic varieties play a key role both in terms of style and characterization of the characters and their milieu. On the basis of the autobiographical work Untergetaucht. Eine junge Frau überlebt in Berlin 1940-1945, which recounts the extraordinary story of Marie Jalowicz Simon, a young Jewish woman who survives underground in Nazi Berlin for three years, the sociolinguistic markedness of the text – whose narrative and dialogues are informed by different varieties of German, including the Berlin dialect – will be investigated according to the levels of analysis and the theoretical-descriptive framework proposed by Schwitalla/Tiittula 2009. The translation strategies adopted in the Italian version in order to render its variegated linguistic repertoire will be then described focussing on substandard elements as well as on the linguistic-textual means used by the author to create the illusion of orality and considered in relation to the criteria set out by Berruto 2010 with regard to the sociolinguistic adequacy of translation.

Attraverso una approfondita analisi casistica, l’autrice analizza le modalità con cui i giudici, a livello nazionale e sovranazionale, sono intervenuti negli anni più recenti a tutela dei diritti fondamentali. Nel saggio, l’Autrice si preoccupa di mettere in evidenza non soltanto le criticità che si accompagnano ad una tutela dei diritti fondamentali assicurata in modo sempre più importante dai giudici, ma anche le lacune che continuano a caratterizzare il processo, sia costituzionale sia sovrananzionale (con specifico riferimento al sistema della Convenzione europea dei diritti dell’uomo), soprattutto per quanto attiene alla fase istruttoria e all’intervento dei terzi. L’indagine casistica consente, quindi, all’Autrice di intrecciare profili di diritto sostanziale e processuale, contribuendo a delineare un quadro dettagliato dello status dei diritti fondamentali in Italia e in Europa.

The Author addresses the relationship between secularism and religious fundamentalism within the italian constitutional system. Through an in depth investigation of the most significant case-law both at the national and at the supranational level, the Author questions how could religious fundamentalisms be reconcilied with the individual’s fundamental rights. The Author then goes on by investigating the dilemma surrounding an approach to the relationship between the secularity of the State and religious forms of radicalization by underling the key role played by the so called “secularistic method” together with a case-by-case evaluation in the composition of conflicts among the individual, the community and the State.

Cet article étudie les rapports, au cours de la première moitié du XVIe siècle, entre le pouvoir politique de Charles Quint et les hommes de culture italiens. Le plus souvent, les écrivains entretenaient eux-mêmes des rapports directs avec le pouvoir impérial. Certains dédiaient leurs œuvres à l’empereur, d’autres attendaient d’être sollicités par son entourage. Mais aussi, de nombreuses productions littéraires, élogieuses à l’égard de l’empereur, naissaient suite à un événement comme une alliance entre princes, une défaite militaire et ses conséquences politiques, l’arrivée de nouveaux alliés dans le camp impérial, ou étaient le moyen de prétendre à une pension. Les exemples analysés ici illustrent la contribution de plusieurs écrivains italiens comme l’Arioste, l’Arétin, le Trissin ou Paul Jove à la définition de l’idéologie à la base du programme politique impérial en Europe et la contribution de chacun à la création d’une nouvelle image iconographique et littéraire de Charles Quint en Italie.

In the Arab world, the role of the state in the social contract has been addressed from various angles: as a provider of employment, as a supplier of goods and services, as a guarantor of security and political stability and more generally as an enabler of economic growth. State-owned enterprises (SOEs), which contribute significantly to all of the above objectives, have not been considered in economic policy making, despite the fact that they are integral to the economic history and competitiveness of most countries in the region. Tracing the history of state ownership from the nation-building process to the present time, this article argues that the scope of state capitalism in most Arab countries is not retreating and that the mechanisms of state control have become increasingly diverse. Across the region, the performance of state enterprises has been highly variable: while some operate with private governance models, those that operate as an extension of the public sector still underperform despite being subsidised. Recent experience demonstrates that in countries that have recently undergone political changes, political appetite or popular support for SOE reform is lacking and the prospects for the transfer of positive experiences of SOE management in the region are so far limited.

Purpose: To provide evidence-based recommendations and guidance for the management of diabetic retinopathy (DR) and diabetic macular edema (DME) based on recently published clinical evidence and clinical experience. Methods: A literature search using PubMed and the Cochrane Library was performed with the terms “diabetic macular edema” or “diabetic retinopathy” to identify studies published from January 2008 to November 2013. This was followed by a manual search of references cited in selected papers published in peer-reviewed journals. The references identified in these literature searches were reviewed and presented by members of the Latin America DME expert panel to the entire group during the 2-day consensus meeting. During this meeting,the experts formulated recommendations with consideration of the health benefits, risks, and adverse effects of interventions. References used to support recommendations were assigned a level of evidence based on the Strength of Recommendation Taxonomy (SORT) evidence rating system. Results: Thirty-one consensus recommendations were formulated. These include the recommendation for early glycemic control in diabetic patients in order to reduce the risk of progression of ocular disease. The expert panel also recommended the collection of epidemiological data to further define the prevalence of DR and DME in Latin America and to establish management and treatment algorithms for various stages of the disease. The need for early screening and development of infrastructure to ensure appropriate followup and treatment of those in need is further emphasized. Both fluorescein angiography (FA) and optical coherence tomography (OCT) are needed for proper assessment of disease progression and response to therapy. Based on available high-level evidence, we recommend ranibizumab as the gold standard for the treatment of DME and panretinal photocoagulation (PRP) as the gold standard for proliferative DR. Vitrectomy should be considered in the presence of macular traction or if edema is not responding to pharmacological therapy. As intravitreal steroids provide a reduction in edema, they can be used to ameliorate the effects of other therapies as well as in pseudophakic eyes. Finally, when selecting a therapy for DR and/or DME, it is of particular importance to consider the general health status of a patient. Conclusion: Although these guidelines are not intended to be a replacement for clinical judgment, they should help to streamline the management of DME across Latin America and ensure that patients receive the best available care in a timely manner.

Las moscas sin alas del género Chionea spp son artrópodos especializados de la fauna supranivea, de los cuales se tiene escasa información ecológica. De las siete especies europeas del subgénero Chionea (Sphaeconophilus), se sabe que al menos cuatro se distribuirían en los Pirineos: C. pyrenaea Bourne 1981, C. bezzii Oosterbroek & Reusch 2008, C. alpina Bezzi 1908 and C. lutescens Lundström 1907. Las dos últimas serían, posiblemente, endémicas ya que están descritas en una única localización y solamente individuos macho. En este trabajo hemos ilustrado por primera vez el habitus de la hembra de C. pyrenaea proporcionando además una distribución actualizada de las moscas alpinas en los Pirineos. En el contexto futuro de una subida generalizada de las temperaturas y una reducción de la cubierta de la profundidad y duración de la cubierta de nieve, estos resultados indican la vulnerabilidad de estas especies al cambio climático.

Este artículo propone una reflexión epistémico-metodológica sobreel trabajo de investigación en ciencias sociales en el campo de estudiosde los movimientos sociales y las experiencias de organización populares.Desde una perspectiva que recupera el pensamiento político y la epistemologíacrítica, se presenta una reconstrucción de los supuestos a partir de loscuales producimos conocimiento así como las implicancias que los puntosde partida ontológicos tienen en nuestros abordajes metodológicos. La reflexiónse complementa con dos estudios empíricos de diferente alcance.En los casos presentados indagamos sobre la conformación de sujetos ysubjetividades en sectores populares atendiendo a la densidad analítica deun objeto de investigación que se piensa a la vez como construcción, enmovimiento y atravesado por múltiples temporalidades y espacialidades. Elalegato es por recuperar un lugar para las investigaciones que procuranformular preguntas para las que no hay respuestas y que asumen el desafíodel pensamiento abismal para una mejor comprensión de la realidad social.

In this paper, we investigate the impact of the fiscal system on wealth redistribution in Germany, Greece, and Italy. We demonstrate the application of the model to the data of the quoted countries. We obtain the gross income distributions by starting from the net income distributions downloaded from the Eurostat website and by using the individual income tax rates of each country. We evaluate the Dynamic Theil's Entropy that allows us to recover the total inequality between the net and gross income distributions for each of these countries. Such a comparison allowed us to understand how the fiscal systems affect wealth distribution. These results can be used for planning welfare policies.

Megabunus diadema (Fabricius 1779) es una especie de opilión Atlántica y Europea, caracterizada por una distribución discontinua desde Escandinavia a la Península Ibérica. La singularidad biológica de la especie se encuentra en el modo de reproducción, la partenogénesis facultativa, hasta ahora considerada como asexual. De hecho, hasta el momento se han observado muy pocos individuos masculinos en el campo. Los resultados de este estudio muestran, sobre una amplia muestra (741 individuos sexuados), que la proporción de sexo masculino es muy superior a lo conocido hasta ahora (65%). Localmente este porcentaje puede variar entre 0 y 100% (mediana del 75,5% para los machos). Los resultados muestran que la proporción de sexos depende de la altitud y del ciclo fenológico: la proporción de machos disminuye con la altitud y aumenta gradualmente durante la primavera hasta llegar a una meseta en verano. Para describir las poblaciones dominadas localmente por individuos masculinos y proporcionar nueva información sobre los patrones espaciales y temporales de la proporción de sexos en poblaciones adultas, cuestionamos el modo de reproducción actualmente admitido de la especie que podría ser normalmente sexual, al menos localmente, en lugar de asexual. Se proporciona, por primera vez, un mapa de distribución de la especie en la vertiente norte de los Pirineos. Nuestro estudio también complementa el estudio publicado recientemente por Merino-Sáinz et al. (2013) sobre su distribución en la vertiente sur de los Pirineos y en el resto de la Península Ibérica.

The comparability of UNESCO’s international statistics on education has been questioned since the end of the 1980s, when other international agencies started producing their own educational data. This evolution coincides with the newly strategic role given to education in the context of “globalization”, i.e. education and training contribute to help nations improve their economic competitivity in the international market. According to OECD or the World Bank, more emphasis should be placed on the comparability of education outputs than on the measurement of the development of “mass education”: indicators should be used not only to compare the characteristics of national education systems but also to compare underlying political decisions. The latter would be evaluated based on performance criteria established by external assessments (students’ “life-skills”, cost efficiency...). This new kind of comparability, which was justified by the quest for better quality of data, is, in a sense, less robust from a statistical point of view, but more ambitious in terms of objectives and consequences.

The inaccessibility of the Truth or deus absconditus and the factum of the diversity lay the foundations for the search of the unity in the difference. The philosophical Foundations of the Trinity and the lncarnation, which acceptance is indispensable for the building of the peace of the faith, shows the coherence between Philosophy and Theology, both understood in the sens of the docta ignorantia

Las investigaciones recientes han mostrado que el sistema pronominal del español causa dificultades para los estudiantes angloparlantes del español como segunda lengua en todos niveles de aprendizaje. Para entender mejor esta dificultad, este artículo explora tres razones posibles con un enfoque en el estudio de García (2014) y dos estudios de la autora (D’Amico 2007, 2013). Las tres razones sugeridas son la transferencia de la primera lengua (inglés) a la segunda lengua (español), la poca enseñanza dedicada a los pronombres y el valor semántico bajo de los pronombres. Mientras es posible que haya otras razones para los errores con los pronombres por parte de los angloparlantes, éstas tres son bien apoyadas por los resultados empíricos.

Este artículo inscribe a la obra de Nicolás de Cusa, De concordantia catholica, al interior del marco de la tradición conciliar de la Baja Edad Media. Se muestra cómo Nicolás encuentra la posibilidad de una concordancia –por definición siempre provisoria y “conjetural”– entre los miembros de la sociedad cristiana (unitas fidelium). En este sentido, se reconstruye la articulación entre un esquema teocrático o descendente del poder temporal y la doctrina del consentimiento. También se señala que, teniendo esta combinación como su fuente, resulta una conceptión particular de representación: Concilio e Imperio, organizados últimos de las necesidades espirituales y sociales de la unitas fideliumson, respectivamente, los representantes de Dios y del consentimiento popular.

Among the numerous applications of electronic nose technology, the analysis of foodstuff is one of the most promising and also the most travelled road towards industrial applications. On the other hands, since human senses are strongly involved in the interaction with foods the analysis of food provides an excellent field to compare the performances of natural and artificial olfaction systems. The electronic nose, being non-destructive and, in principle, directly correlated with the consumer perceptions, is a good candidate to develop quality evaluation tools for quality assessment. In this paper, the application of electronic nose to the evaluation of quality of foods is discussed. As selected example, the measure of quality of fruit is outlined. The experiments described have been performed with an electronic nose developed by the authors and of which a description is also given.

El opúsculo De deo abscondito representa una de las expresiones paradojales habituales en el pensamiento de Nicolás de Cusa. El tópico del “Dios oculto” está relacionado con el problema de la atribución de nombres a Dios. Siguiendo los pasos de inspiración dionisíaca –y también atendiendo a los comentarios escolásticos– y eckartiana, este artículo presenta las similitudes y subraya los rasgos originalmente cusanos: la inaccesibilidad absoluta de la verdad, la preferencia por el nombre “unitas” en el marco de las primeras obras y el pasaje por la via negativa.

[fr] Une étude menée sur les Opilions (Arachnida) en haute-vallée d'Ossau (Pyrénées-Atlantiques; France) entre 1987 et 1989 a permis de souligner la richesse et la diversité de ce groupe dans les écosystèmes montagnards: dix-huit espèces ont été inventoriées. Nous présentons ici les principaux aspects de leur phénologie, de leur distribution altitudinale et de leur écologie. [es] Un estudio sobre los Opiliones (Arachnida) en el Alto Valle de Ossau (Pirineos Atlánticos, Francia) entre 1987 y 1989 ha permitido señalarla riqueza y diversidad de este grupo en los ecosistemas de montaña: dieciocho especies se han inventariado. Presentamos aquí los principales aspectos de su fenología, distribución altitudinal y ecología.

L'étude a porté sur l'agencement de l'espace pastoral chez les éleveurs Mbororo de Centrafrique et les mouvements de leurs zébus à robe acajou. Outre le campement des éleveurs, cet espace est divisé en trois compartiments principaux : l'aire de repos, l'abreuvoir et le Pâturage sillonné de sentiers. Son utilisation repose sur une ségrégation spatiale et temporelle des déplacements des animaux. Dans le contexte particulier des savanes humides du centre de la République centrafricaine, où l'espèce riveraine Glossina fuscipes fuscipes Newst. 1910 est le vecteur principal des trypanosomoses bovines, les auteurs montrent qu'une connaissance approfondie des pratiques pastorales apporte de nouveaux éléments à la compréhension de l'épidémiologie du nagana. Ainsi, la conduite différentielle des veaux par rapport mix adultes est-elle vraisemblablement un facteur épidémiologique capital.

Le suivi d'un réseau d'élevage de 19 troupeaux zébus Mbororo a été mis en place pour évaluer l'impact d'une lutte par piégeage contre Glossina fuscipes fuscipes limitée aux abreuvoirs. Ce programme s'inscrit dans la stratégie d'une lutte intégrée contre les trypanosomoses bovines en République centrafricaine. Le piégeage permet d'abaisser les densités de G. f. fuscipes et de diminuer les prévalences trypanosomiennes. Ces effets se traduisent par l'amélioration des valeurs de l'hématocrite et par la diminution du nombre de traitements trypanocides réalisés. L'impact sur les productivités est plus difficile à mettre en évidence sur une courte période ; il apparaît cependant manifeste sur les paramètres calculés.

Spreading the universal monarchy myth in the early 16th century was closely linked to the magnitude of the territories controlled by Charles V. For the imperial chancellor Mercurino Gattinara, universal and messianic ideas, which were integrated into the symbolism of the Empire, were to legitimate a policy that aimed at giving a more rational structure to Charles’ territories and at securing a prominent influence for the Habsburg family in the whole of Europe. Gattinara imagined a kind of supranational monarchy, organised in accordance with the mythical model of the Roman Empire, which would be able to guarantee peace under the aegis of Christianity.

L’article de Juan Carlos D’Amico analyse les rapports entre l’Arétin, appelé par ses admirateurs le fléau des princes, et Charles Quint. L’écrivain avait fait de l’éloge et de la célébration des puissants de la terre la source de son indépendance matérielle. On peut être choqué par son adulation et ses tirades dithyrambiques adressées à l’empereur et roi d’Espagne. Cependant, il faut y voir la conséquence logique d’une stratégie originale pour éviter les servitudes d’une vie courtisane. À cela, nous pouvons ajouter que Charles Quint avait besoin d’une voix amie à Venise pour y défendre sa politique et y trouver l’appui nécessaire à la poursuite de sa lutte contre François Ier.

Sous l’effet de divers facteurs, le cheptel zébu Mbororo de la RCA s’est considérablement accru durant ces dernières années (2 200 000 têtes) du fait des potentialités pastorales offertes. En vue d’une meilleure gestion de cet espace, des zones d’activité agropastorale ont été créées (ZAGROP). En contrepartie du disponible fourrager, cet élevage en zone humide doit affronter des contraintes pathologiques accrues, dominées notamment par les trypanosomoses. Pour éviter que l’usage massif actuel des trypanocides par les éleveurs n’aboutisse à une impasse, l’Agence Nationale de Développement de 1’Elevage (ANDE) a demandé d’identifier des méthodes de lutte contre les glossines. Dans l’une de ces ZAGROP (60 000 ha), la première étape a consisté à établir une carte précise de la distribution des espèces vectrices grâce à un piégeage systématique (piège biconique). Glossina fuscipes fuscipes (10 805 glossines capturées) occupe la totalité du réseau hydrographique avec des densités faibles à moyennes (3 glossines par piège et par jour). Glossina fusca eongolensis est rare (7 individus capturées) et Glossina morsitans submorsitans, autrefois présente, semble avoir disparu. Les éléments sur l’abondance, la diversité et la distribution des espèces sont discutés. Ils servent de base au choix d’une méthode de lutte par piégeage actuellement mise en oeuvre dans ce milieu pastoral.

Siguiendo la noción tradicional de la Sabiduría como Palabra de Dios, Nicolás de Cusa propone en De sapientia una sabiduría humana cuya condición es la scientia ignorationis y su punto de partida la realidad considerada como explicatio dei. El idiota cusano –arquetipo de sabio– afirma la posibilidad de pasar de la multiplicidad a sus “mensurae” o principios explicativos que nos ofrecen una aprehensión cognitiva parcial de la realidad. La “transferencia” al Infinito de estos principios conducirá, aunque a través de un camino conjetural, a lo que es la Mensura o Complicatio absoluta. Finalmente, la “transferencia” de la geometría a la teología da una imagen aproximada de la desconocida relación Dios-mundo. Este artículo destaca la formulación del Cusano de algunas nociones relacionadas con el Neoplatonismo medieval desde el punto de vista de la teoría del conocimiento.

El artículo analiza los distintos momentos de la recepción de Proclo en el pensamiento cusano. La lectura directa de Proclo puede ser establecida pues Expositio in Parmenidem Platonis (Cod.Cus. 186) y Elementatio theologica (Cod.Cus.195) en las traducciones de Guillermo de Moerbeke y De theologia Platonis Libri VI (Cod.Cus.185) en la traducción de Pedro Balbo, se encuentran en su biblioteca de Bernkastel-Kues con marginalia del mismo cusano. La asimilación de doctrinas puede ser considerada a partir de las referencias implícitas y explícitas al Diádico de Platón, especialmente en las últimas obras.

En el marco de la formulación de la Docta Ignorancia, el tercer diálogo del Idiota presenta una profusa especulación sobre la humana mens. Este tratado comienza con el análisis de la palabra “mens” caracterizada como “mensura” de la totalidad de la realidad. Esto determina el lugar del hombre en el cosmos; Nicolás de Cusa destaca tanto su naturaleza intermedia como su condición de mediación universal. La mens, la única imagen de Dios –todo lo demás es explicatio dei– comparte con el infinito absoluto algunos de sus atributos: capacidad complicativa y poder creativo. Pero, mientras que Dios es “complicatio absoluta” y su vida o fuerza es entitativa, el espíritu humano “complica” humaniter y tiene una vía configurativa o assimilativa. La pregunta “hombre, imagen de Dios” tiene muchas consecuencias originales en Nicolás de Cusa: al dotar de significado al mundo creado por Dios, la humana mens deviene secundus deus. Teniendo en cuenta las consideraciones del De mente sobre este tema, este artículo admite a la élite “moderna” cusana pero destaca, sobre todo, sus raíces profundamente medievales.

Une étude comparative des organes sensoriels de l'aile, plus particulièrement les chimiorécepteurs, de deux vecteurs de trypanosomoses, Glossina pallidipes Austen, 1903 (transmission cyclique) et Stomoxys nigra Macquart, 1850 (transmission mécanique) a été menée. Leur morphologie, leur localisation et leur rôle sont analysés en fonction du sexe et des variations inter-spécifiques. Une comparaison est faite avec d'autres espèces de glossines et avec Musca domestica. Globalement et par section respective, G. pallidipes possède plus de chimiorécepteurs (mâle : 138,26; femelle : 135,33) que S. nigra (mâle : 89,85; femelle : 95,68) mais moins que G. m. morsitans (mâle : 173,17; femelle : 168), G. m. submorsitans (mâle : 169,29; femelle : 169,52) ou G. austeni (mâle : 160,58; femelle : 156,47). Les écarts d'effectifs des chimiorécepteurs entre mâles et femelles chez une même espèce ne sont pas significatifs. Chez S. nigra, la section E est mieux fournie en chimiorécepteurs chez les deux sexes et les sections A et F en sont dépourvues. En outre, la répartition des soies le long de la nervure costale se limite aux sections B, C, D et E, tandis qu'elle s'observe sur toute la longueur de l'aile chez les glossines. Le rôle possible des chimiorécepteurs est abordé.

Une étude conduite au microscope électronique à balayage chez six espèces de glossines (Diptera : Glossinidae) a permis de préciser l'identité et la distribution des structures sensorielles de l'aile, particulièrement pour les soies chimioréceptrices. Localisées uniquement sur la face dorsale de la nervure costale, elles sont plus denses sur la partie médiane. Ce travail constitue une étape avant des recherches électrophysiologiques et comportementales qui devraient permettre de mieux appréhender la perception de l'environnement par les glossines et rendre plus performantes les méthodes récentes de lutte sur le terrain.

Les auteurs décrivent la problématique du transfert de technologie que représente l'adoption par les éleveurs Mbororo de la lutte par piégeage. Cette lutte est dirigée contre le principal vecteur des trypanosomoses du bétail, Glossina fuscipes fuscipes, et utilise le piège bipyramidal. La vulgarisation de cette technique s'appuie sur les structures mises en place pour le développement de l'élevage en République centrafricaine. Les voies et les moyens de cette vulgarisation sont décrits et commentés.

Une étude conduite sur trois espèces de glossines (Glossina tachinoides, G. morsitans morsitans et G. fuscipes fuscipes) au moyen du microscope électronique à balayage (MEB) a permis d'acquérir de nouvelles données sur la morphologie et la localisation de certains organes sensoriels : les premières photographies illustrant la morphologie des soies proprioceptives de l'organe prothoracique sont présentées et, pour la première fois, est signalée l'existence de soies, probablement mécanoréceptrices, sur le ptilinum et de soies chimioréceptrices sur la nervure costale des ailes. Cette approche fine vise à mieux comprendre la perception de l'environnement par les glossines en vue d'une application plus efficace des moyens de lutte par piégeage.
