Self-luminous magnesium phosphate cement is a new material that combines long-afterglow luminescent material with magnesium phosphate cement. This paper studies the performance of self-luminous magnesium phosphate cement material through experiments, so as to expand the applicability of this material to exterior walls of buildings in a cold climate. The experiment indicates that the Self-luminous magnesium phosphate cement has excellent corrosion resistance, impermeability, and salt-freeze resistance in a cold climate. It can be used as a new kind of beautiful, energy-saving and environment-friendly exterior wall paving material.

This paper applies Neural Network to predict WTI crude oil futures prices on basis of intraday minutely high frequency data. We looked into the recent market crash in the WTI crude oil futures market in April before the Delivery day. The results indicate that Neural Network could be misleading. More specifically, the paper shows that in normal situations Neural Network works well in sample and out of sample but it could give predictions with the opposite signs when the there exists a crash such as the one happened on April 20th, 2020. The evidence demonstrates that the prediction based on Neural Network may not be suitable to predict the market crash which is due to extreme shocks or financial or economic crises. This study gives a new insight in the relation between short term price discovery and the extreme market crash movement.

A pot experiment was conducted to study the effects of cross-hybridization on biomass, photosynthetic pigment content, antioxidant enzyme activity and soluble protein content of Solanum nigrum and Solanum diphyllum. The results showed that under cadmium (Cd) stress, the plant biomass, photosynthetic pigment content, antioxidant enzyme activity and soluble protein content of hybrid ND (S. nigrum male × S. diphyllum female) and DN (S. diphyllum male × S. nigrum female) were all higher than those of S. nigrum. S. diphyllum was optimal, and hybrid ND was superior to hybrid DN. The POD activity of S. nigrum was higher than that of S. diphyllum, and the POD activity of hybrid ND and DN was significantly higher than that of parent.

Cu-Zn catalysts based on ZSM-5 were prepared with impregnation method. Their catalatic behaviors for the synthesis of ethanol from syngas were investigated in a fixed bed. XRD and H2-TPR were adopted to characterize the structure and of the catalysts. In the synthesis procession, such factors as ZSM-5 with varied n(Si)/n(Al) ratio, reaction temperature and space velocity were inspected carefully. The results showed that: changing the ratio of silica to alumina in the carrier zeolite has a great influence on the conversion of CO.with a n(Si)/n(Al) ratio of 80, the conversion rate of CO peaked at 25% and the selectivity to ethanol reached 22%. Optimal space velocity for Cu-Zn catalysts was 8400·mL−1·h−1·g−1.

Purified coal-tar was chosen as the raw material for foaming precursor. Distillation methods that refining light constituent was applied as preliminary treatment of pitch. Carbon foam was prepared by the self-foaming of the resultant pitch. The effects of distilling temperature as well as time on the micro structure, bulk density, porosity, compressive strength, and thermal conductivity of carbon foam were investigated in this paper. The compressive strength of produced carbon foam can reach 6.287 MPa and thermal conductivity can lower than 0.048 W·m-1·K-1.

Hepatitis E virus (HEV) presents a worldwide distribution. In developing countries, hepatitis E, related to HEV1 and HEV2, is a waterborne disease. In developed countries, hepatitis E is a zoonotic disease due to HEV3 and HEV4. It is mainly transmitted through meat consumption from animal reservoirs such as pig, boar, deer and rabbit. New clinical forms include neurological manifestations that are now clearly associated with HEV3 infection. Recent studies showed that ORF1 polyprotein was able to disrupt the innate immune response. It was also shown that ORF2 protein exists at least in two forms: a free, glycosylated form and a non-glycosylated form, which assembles to form the capsid. Lastly, it was shown that ORF3 protein, involved in the virus egress, acts as a viroporin. New culture systems and animal models have been developed recently, and will be very helpful to complete our understanding of HEV life cycle and pathogenesis.
