Environmental, social, and corporate governance, which is commonly shortened to ESG, is becoming an increasingly important part of the oil and gas industry as it faces a transition towards the usage of renewable energy sources. Today, businesses are increasingly looking for new ways to promote ESG initiatives, as a growing number of customers and investors are urging organisations to take ESG issues more seriously. Businesses are also looking for new ways to promote initiatives related to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues. This pattern can be explained by the fact that consumers are becoming more conscious of the significance of the problems being addressed. Even if the pressure on oil and gas companies is rising, the sector now has a lot of alternatives thanks to the increased emphasis on environmental, social, and governance concerns. This paper explores how ESG is redefining the sustainable energy sector as well as the reasons why it is necessary for businesses to address environmental challenges and adapt to this new paradigm. In addition, it explains how ESG is transforming the energy industry.

Addressing the limited research on online shopping trust in the emerging e-market context, this study examined how online experience affects experiential trust, attitude, perceived risk, perceived usefulness, and purchase intention. Further, experiential trust was tested as a mediator between online experience and attitude, perceived risk, and perceived usefulness. A structured questionnaire was administered to collect data from 583 respondents. The proposed hypotheses were tested through structural equation modeling using AMOS 23 and hierarchical regression analysis. The result indicates that online experience is significant in forming experiential trust. The findings also show that experiential trust plays an important role in influencing e-shoppers’ purchasing behavior. Furthermore, it has been found that online experience and experiential trust function as distinct predictors of perceived risk in online shopping behavior. This study provides new insights into online shopping behavior in emerging e-market scenarios. Practically, the findings suggest the strategic importance of generating experiential trust in the e-retailing context and indicate the utility of past online experiences.

Dwell sensitivity of titanium alloys at ambient temperature (~250 C) is a well-known phenomenon, although the question about the exact micromechanical reasons responsible for this still remains open. In this work, the normal and dwell fatigue response of a near-alpha titanium alloy, IMI 834, is studied. Samples with three different microstructures, namely, fully lamellar, fully equiaxed and bimodal, are evaluated for their dwell fatigue behaviors. A reduction in fatigue life by at least an order of magnitude is seen in all the three microstructures. Large plastic strain accumulation (almost equal to the monotonic ductility) was observed during the dwell fatigue loading condition and this is held responsible for this large debit in fatigue life. The normal fatigue lives decreased in the order, bimodal > fully equiaxed > fully lamellar, while the dwell fatigue lives decreased in the order, fully equiaxed > fully lamellar > bimodal. Bimodal microstructure showed a dwell fatigue debit of 17, while fully lamellar and fully equiaxed showed a debit of 9 and 10, respectively.

Hot tensile testing is useful to understand the material behavior at elevated temperatures. Hence it is of utmost importance that the test condition is accurate enough to derive stress-strain data in fully austenitic state and to ensure homogeneous deformation throughout the gauge length of the specimen. But present limitation of standard Gleeble hot tensile sample geometry could not be used to achieve a uniform temperature distribution along the gauge section, thus creating errors of experimental data. In order to understand the effect of sample geometry on temperature gradient within the gauge section coupled electrical-thermal and thermo-mechanical finite element analysis has been carried out using Abaqus, with the use of viscoplastic damage constitutive equations presented by Li [1]. Based on the experimental study and numerical analysis, it was observed that the new sample geometry introduced by Abspoel [2], is able to achieve a better uniformity in temperature distribution along the gauge length; The temperature deviation along the gauge length within 25 ∘C during soaking and 5 ∘C after cooling and onset of deformation); also the strain deformation is found to be almost homogeneous.
