Dieser Artikel beschäftigt sich mit der Translationsgeschichte der Arabischen Erzählungen der ‚Tausend und eine Nacht‘ aus einer performativen, ausgangskulturorientierten Perspektive. Die Zweistufigkeit des Translationsprozesses als interlingualer/zweisprachiger Kommunikation impliziert eine eindimensionale Linearität, die die Beziehung zwischen Ausgangs- und Zieltext bestimmt. Die Effekte der Translation auf Produktion/Rezeption des Ausgangstextes fallen jenseits der konzeptuellen Reichweite des Translationsbegriffes und können prinzipiell nicht in einem translationstheoretischen Rahmen behandelt werden, was in einer statisch-genetischen Konzeption vom Ausgangstext als „Quelle“ resultiert. Ich werde anhand der ‚Tausend und eine Nacht‘ argumentieren, dass eine neue Auffassung der Translation als performative Bewegung in Richtung Ausgangstext die Komplexität translatorischen Handelns besser zeigen und die interpretativen Möglichkeiten der Translation als Interaktion zwischen einem Ausgangstext und einem Zieltext erweitern kann. Dabei wird die Rolle Antoine Gallands und seiner Übersetzung der ‚Tausend und eine Nacht‘ (Les mille et une nuits) hervorgehoben.

The adjective πιθανός ‘persuasive, credible’, attested for the first time in Aeschylus, and ever since in use in the Greek language has a special meaning ‘beautiful’ in a group of early Byzantine texts. The development of this later meaning can be traced since the comedian Menander and the epigrammatist Asclepiades. The early examples are attested in poetry or philosophical prose, always as a characteristic of female persons, seductive and fatal. On the other hand, the later examples, attested since probably late fourth century until the early seventh, are all to be found in works written in a more casual literary register, and in dialogues and passages with a pronounced ironical tone. Defined like this by chronology, literary register and, it seems geography - all these texts were written in Palestine or Egypt - this usage can be characterized as colloquial.

By using the unique orbital properties of Phobos and Deimos, this method creates a dynamic encryption algorithm. The approach involves dividing the alphabet into groups and applying shifting techniques based on Deimos’ positions, enhancing data security through increased complexity. The Phobos and Deimos encryption method aims to provide a robust solution for safeguarding sensitive information, ensuring confidentiality, integrity, and authenticity in today’s digital landscape.

Text extraction from images has always been challenging, especially if the image is taken under bad conditions, like lightning and noise that can influence text detection and recognition. This paper introduces a novel text extraction and recognition technique applied to the case study license plates. The main idea of this study is to detect the license plate in an input image and try to figure out the original country of the car based on the license plate. To accomplish this task, we first started collecting images from the internet, which were about 100 images. Afterward, we extracted the license plate using machine learning methods. Subsequently, we applied k-means clustering as well as thresholding in order to segment the extracted license plate and make the character recognition task easier. Thereafter, a sequence of techniques were applied, such as resizing and cropping the image to limit the wanted area of the desired character we want to extract. The last part of the proposed method is reading the text from the image using EasyOcr method, and using the function find in order to search for the character or the word. his proposed method achieved satisfactory results in detection where we achieved an accuracy of 87%, and a recognition of 97%. As for finding the ‘word’ part, the algorithm succeeded in all the examples.

La cinétique de séchage conductif de la menthe a été étudiée pour trois températures. L’augmentation de la température a réduit de manière significative le temps de séchage. La cinétique de séchage de ce produit a été analysée pour déterminer le coefficient de diffusion lors de la période de séchage à vitesse décroissante. Le coefficient de diffusion varie de 2,15 x 10-8 à 1,031 x 10-7 m2/s avec l’augmentation de la température. La relation d’Arrhenius avec une valeur d’énergie d’activation de 84,796 kJ/mol a exprimé l’effet de la température sur le coefficient de diffusion. Le modèle de Midilli-Kucuk décrit d’une manière satisfaisante la cinétique de séchage en régime continu des feuilles de menthe.
