Titanium carbide (TiC) nanoparticles were included into epoxy resin composites to enhance their mechanical and thermal properties. Epoxy-TiC nanocomposites were produced using a solution mixing method, including different concentrations of TiC (0.5 weight percent, 1 weight percent, 2 weight percent, and 5 weight percent). The nanocomposites were then submitted to mechanical and thermal assessment. The results indicate that the addition of TiC nanoparticles enhanced the tensile strength from 50 MPa to 75 MPa, the flexural strength from 80 MPa to 110 MPa, and the impact strength from 10 kJ/m² to 15 kJ/m² at a TiC content of 2 weight percent. The initial deterioration temperature rose from 350 degrees Celsius to 375 degrees Celsius, while the glass transition temperature went from 120 degrees Celsius to 130 degrees Celsius. This led to enhanced thermal stability. A little reduction in features occurred due to the agglomeration of TiC nanoparticles when the concentration was raised to five weight percent. This study demonstrated that the optimal concentration of titanium carbide (TiC) for enhancing mechanical and thermal performance in epoxy composites is 2 weight percent. This suggests that these composites possess the capability for use in sophisticated engineering applications.

Mismanaging mud characteristics can create drilling issues and financial losses. Field drilling operations can avoid lost circulation (mud loss), stuck drill strings, uncontrolled blowouts, and caving shale by carefully selecting drilling mud that matches the formation characteristics of a well. The aim of this study is to develop a mud formulation that effectively mitigates shale-related issues while preserving the integrity of the physical properties of the formation. The use of appropriate polymer mud and shale stabilizers at 250 degrees Celcius, with KCl at 9 percent and Soltex at 2, 4, and 6 ppb, will help this study achieve its aim. In this study, clay swelling is measured with a linear swell meter. Test results will be shown as charts or graphs. We can see from the linear swell meter graph that using KCl polymer mud with Soltex at a concentration of 4 ppb is an effective way to reduce shale formation swelling by about 21.20 percent. This study proposes employing KCl polymer and Soltex to decrease shale swelling at high temperatures, which could have a positive effect on petroleum engineering. Precision in drilling mud composition and selection can improve drilling operations, which could reduce drilling expenses and financial losses.

In order to address this challenge, this project proposes and implements a sophisticated algorithmic solution designed to produce extremely accurate and user-centric product rankings. This represents a groundbreaking approach. The system attempts to predict and present the most relevant product suggestions by meticulously considering a wide range of factors such as user preferences, historical interactions, product popularity trends, and user similarity metrics. Our methodology is distinguished by the use of a dynamic simulation environment in which user profiles, product categories, and interaction pat- terns are manipulated to replicate authentic real-world scenarios. The dynamic framework facilitates the comprehensive testing and optimization of customized ranking algorithms, guaranteeing their flexibility in response to changing user preferences and behaviors. The project’s effectiveness is evaluated using precise evaluation metrics that offer quantitative information about how well the system understands and responds to each unique user’s preference, ultimately resulting in a more fulfilling and rich online shopping or content consumption experience.

Separation techniques and particle manipulation has always been a matter of curiosity to research groups worldwide for numerous biomedical applications like cell concentration, separation, patterning, and trapping. The present work describes the fabrication and testing for constant cell separation using Dielectrophoresis phenomenon. The cells with different electric properties separate continuously at different location as they flow across the channel. Known mixture of non viable and viable yeast cells is selectively trapped using negative Dielectrophoresis. We achieved the cell trapping efficiency of 98%. A serpentine structure in the cell separation device appears to be a design choice that addresses the need for continuous separation and improved efficiency by minimizing dead volume.

The management of marine waste is an increasingly complex issue facing the world today. Our study provides an interesting take on the issue of marine waste by examining how Indonesian indigenous communities can deal with plastic marine pollution. While there is an obvious need for mitigating plastic use, for effective legislative policies regulating plastic waste management, and to do more to develop sustainable waste management practices; there are also opportunities for indigenous communities to take an innovative approach by using plastic waste in a manner that drives economic development from both non-market and neoliberal theoretical ideologies. As part of this assessment, alongside Indonesian examples we include examples of plastic re-use by indigenous communities of the Philippines and Australia. Moreover, our study highlights some of the areas in which this is being done in the fields of art and infrastructure development.

من إحدي القضايا التي تهم الشعر و الأدب و التي مازالت تطرح في جميع الأعصر طوال التأريخ الأدبي هي قضية الاغتراب و التشكي من المجتمع التي كانت موضع الاهتمام و العناية في كل فترة ما لعصور التأريخ الأدبي و لم تقل من أهميتها ، بل كان هناك شعراء انتهجوا منهج التغرب و الشكوي حسب أسباب و علل منها عدم التصالح بالمجتمع ، سيادة السلطات السائدة و الفشل و الخيبة في الحب و… و قد توسعت هذ ه الظاهرة خاصة في حقبة لم تتمتع سلطات المجتمع بالدراية الكافية لإدارته متابعين مصالحهم الشخصية. بما أن للشعر علاقة وثيقة مع الوضع الفكري ، السياسي و الاجتماعي السائد في المجتمع و أنه يصور الأحوال و التغييرات له في كل واحدة من المراحل القائمة، فإن ابن نحاس كون وصفه أحد شعراء حلب البارزين و الذي كان متمتعا بالذوق الأدبي الرفيع مقارنة مع شعراء آخرين من عصره ، فاستطاع أن يقوم بتصوير الحقائق و الواقعيات الاجتماعية لنفسه من بوابة النظرة الواقعة والمطالبة بالحقيقة عندما كان قد سيطر السلاطين العثمانيون علي بلده و كذلك فإنه تمكن عبر مضامينها المدحية من أن يعرض روحه الصادقة بواسطة التبيين للوقائع و الحوادث المحزنة المؤلمة الناتجة عن فشل الحب. و يمكن القول إن فشله في الحب قد كان من إحدي العوامل و الأسباب المهمة للتغرب الذي انتهجه ابن نحاس.

This paper examines governance practices and their impact on the performance of selected Nepalese cooperatives. In order to address the objectives of the study, 400 sample members from eighteen primary cooperatives in provinces 3 and 6 of Nepal have been identified by stratified random sampling technique to collect primary data with a semi-structured questionnaire. The collected data have been analyzed using SPSS (version 23). Statistical tools like regression, correlation and chi-square tests were applied. The findings revealed that there is significant and positive relationship between professionalization; accountability and performance of cooperatives. Similarly, there are insignificant but positive relationships between participation; transparency and performance of cooperatives. However, there is an insignificant and negative relationship between legitimacy and performance of cooperatives. In conclusion, the performance of cooperatives depends on existence of factors of good governance such as legitimacy, participation, professionalization, accountability and transparency with honesty. On the basis of the study, it is concluded that good governance in cooperatives is the single most important panacea to uplift quality of life of members through economic, social, cultural and technological change in their practical lives. The paper contributes to the literature by identifying factors of good governance for performance of cooperatives from a developing country perspective.

In early 2020, the world was hit by the COVID-19 outbreak This virus was originated in Wuhan, China, and hit 216 countries. In Indonesia, there is an increasing trend of data cases on June 11, 2020, as many as 35,295 positive people. This study aims to look at learning and health situations during the pandemic and the health impacts on students. As a result of the pandemic, lecture activities that were originally on campus were moved to homes with a distance learning system. The descriptive research method is authoritative with a sample of 96 students. The results of this study show that during the COVID-19 pandemic, some students experienced health problems as a result of the transition from offline to online learning, such as anxiety, headaches, and fatigue caused by staring at screens for too long and just doing too many assignments. Even though, students are aware of the importance of health protocols and use them, such as social distancing, wearing a mask when outside, and washing their hands. Students affirm that there is an adequate supply of nutritious food. It can be concluded that changes in learning activities have an impact on student’s health, but this can be mitigated with good management and adherence to health protocols.

This study aims to develop lecturer performance appraisal model using web-based Integrated Evaluation Model (IEM). The object of this study is certified lecturers in Indonesia, by applying this model, the certification compensation given by the government is really used to enhance lecturer's performance. It is expected that the results of this study can be an important research that produces effective and efficient software to evaluate the lecturers' performance nationally because it involves a 360degree assessment. We have done some activities to develop the prototype software application of Integrated Evaluation Model (IEM) for assessing the certified lecturer's performance. They are 1) preparing the questionnaire indicator for the 360 degree performance appraisal, 2) conduct the program test on the certified lecturer. In this phase, certified lecturers, superior, and students also conduct assessment on certified lecturers through IEM software, 3) conduct Focus Group Discussion (FGD) to gain evaluation and feedback on the effectiveness of the IEM application program. FGD results provide a valuable contribution to the preparation of IEM program design. And the IEM software produced in this research has accommodated all of the results of FGD activities. IEM complements the prior certified lecturer performance appraisal with 360 degrees performance appraisal.

Geo- and hydro-meteorological disasters typically caused disruptive impact to road networks due to damaged road infrastructure, which in turn disconnect access to and isolate the disaster affected areas. Road clearing work and emergency road recovery operation are considered a priority to reconnect the access during post-disaster emergency response. However, the operation is not always smooth and in many cases delayed due to various problems. An investigation is conducted to understand the current practice of post-disaster emergency road recovery operation in Indonesia and to study possible participation of construction industry in order to improve its effectiveness. In-depth interviews with Local Disaster Management Agencies (BPBDs) and local road agencies in West Java Province were conducted to understand current practices in emergency road recovery operation and to view perspectives on local contractor participation. The surveys showed supports from the local governments for contractor involvement as long as it is still under guidance of related agencies (Ministry of Public Works and Housing) despite some possible obstacles from the current regulation that may hamper contractors’ participation, which indicate that there is a potential role of construction industry for more effective post-disaster emergency response, provided that contractor associations are involved and existing procurement regulation is improved.

Banana is one of the top produced crops in the Philippines, and among its cultivars is the Musa balbasiana, commonly known as saba. Due to its high moisture content, saba is perishable and one of the methods to increase its shelf-life is drying. The shelf life of saba can be extended up to six months when dried to 12% moisture content. The research focuses on the effect of banana maturity and choses a mathematical model which will best fit its drying kinetics. The banana samples, the unripe and ripe saba, were bone-dried without pre-treatment using a hot-air tray drier. To produce repeatable data, three trials were done for temperatures 40°C, 50°C and 60°C. Among the three mathematical models used in the study, the treated data for both unripe and ripe saba best fit the Laplace Transform Model. Using Lagrange interpolation, the time per trial was computed; unripe saba dried at 50°C achieved the ideal moisture content in an average time of 87.5574 minutes for the three trials while that of ripe saba dried at 40°C achieved the same moisture content in an average time of 88.8619 minutes for the three trials. With the increase in temperature, the discoloration decreased indicating an enzymatic character ofbrowning.

This paper describes how the effects of PUFA supplementation can be indexed by neuroimaging. The role of structural magnetic resonance imaging studies are detailed in respect of testing a brain (lipid) hypothesis and in respect of using a gold-standard image registration technique. The role of magnetic resonance spectroscopy of the brain is considered with respect to a recent advance in the analysis of 31-phosphorus neurospectroscopy data that enables motion-restricted membrane phospholipids to be quantified.
